Directly below the Great Hall is the Hogwarts kitchen, complete with five tables identical to and directly below those of the Great Hall. Numerous house elves have returned and are busily working, always working, on the castle's next meal. They're surely willing to serve you a snack though, if you ask politely enough.
OOC: Please do not RP for the House Elves! We have a lovely group of actual elves who would love to RP with you if you will please be patient.
Time for her last yearly start of term cinnamon roll baking fest or whatever it was. Either way Cinna came down to the kitchen as soon as she could once term got back into full swing. Then she would pass them around to everyone, well kind of everyone.
She headed down to the kitchens, tickled the pear and walked into the kitchen. This was probably her favorite place in the castle besides her bed. What? Good and sleep were the best things that this girl loved. Not really but the castle did offer her both so yes.
She wasn't going to get to work right away. Nope. She was hungry, and if she tried to make the cinnamon rolls on a empty stomach she would probably end up eating tons of raw dough. Ack!
She sat down at the table trying to decide what she should get to eat. Or ask the house elves to make. Speaking of where were the little guys? They could at least help her decided what to eat for lunch.

Colt heard there was a kitchen in Hogwarts. He heard from his cousin Kace that you could cook anything you'd like. He grinned with glee and he wondered if there was cooking supplies. As he made his way to the kitchen after a few wrong turns because he was still getting used to it. He knew the kitchen wasn't too far away from his common room, I mean he was in the dungeons and this was on the ground floor. Not too hard. As he walked the third year noted some cooking supplies.
Sweeeetttttttt
He got out a pan and wondered what he wanted to cook. Well it was breakfast time so he might make him famous chocolate chip pancakes. I mean his mother taught him to cook at a young age since she was always away at work. He learned to cook at 11 years old. I mean it wasn't too young but he knows how to use a stove. He got the frying pan and needed some ingredients. He saw a fridge. Perfect! Man is this cool amazing or what?

it was early, yet Kate was already up and dressed for some odd reason. She didn't have her first class for at least another hour and a half. She usually never got up this early, but she guessed she was just still excited about the start of a new school year and how awesome things were going for her so far. She was heading to the Great Hall, when she saw a familiar face up ahead.
It was Colt!
Kate hadn't seen Colt since they'd eaten together at the start-of-term feast. He was already such a good friend, and despite what he said about being a loner kind of guy, he always seemed pretty outgoing to Kate. She finally caught up with him as he entered the kitchen. "Colt?" she asked, poking her head in. He was...cooking?
"Wow. I'm impressed! I didn't take you for the cooking kind of guy," she admitted. "What's on the menu?" She propped herself against a counter and watched as he got things ready.

As Colt was in his mode and he got all the ingredients necessary to make pancakes, he was mixing them all into a bowl when he heard someone call his name. He turned his head and furrowed his brows and saw it was KATE! He smiled widely and put down his mixing bowl. "Hey there Kate.." he nodded towards her. Was he blushing, he hoped he wasn't. "You're impressed a guy is cooking?" Eyebrows were raised for that statement. "What you don't think guys can't cook?" he was teasing of course but he just wanted to challenge her. "Well I needed to learn to cook out of necessity unless I just wanted cereal for lunch and dinner." he shrugged and snickered at her. He grabbed the bowl and mixed it once more and began to pour the batter onto the frying pan and made little silver dollar pancakes.
"This was my mom and my favorite thing to do in the morning.." he grinned and began to flip them as a pro. "Well what's on the menu is chocolate chip pancakes or regular. You can chose if you wanna join me." he smiled towards her. If she had other plans then he understood.

"so what are you planning on getting for foods, im not quite sure yet myself" he stomach made a huge noise as she thought she should get some food as soon as possible.

At first, Kate thought Colt might be annoyed at having been interrupted. She held her breath a little as he spun around to see who was calling his name. He ended up not being annoyed at all, though! He actually looked happy to see her! Kate smiled in return, as she continued to watch him cook. "No, I know guys can cook. My dad does," she answered. "I just didn't take you to be the type to be interested in it is all. There's nothing wrong with it. I think it's pretty cool." It would be interesting to see what he came up with and if it was good or not.
His next comment made her miss her mom. She was alive and well back home, but Kate had gotten used to seeing her so much during the summer. "Ohh, that sounds good!" she said, smiling again. "Of course I want to join you! I was on my way to the Great Hall, but this sounds much better!" Another nickname for him suddenly came to mind as she watched him get the meal together. "Alright, Chef. Let's see how you do." Grin.

Colt was looking at Kate's smile and thought it was adorable. He always sees her smiling when he is around her. Usually that means a good thing and he would take it. Ah her father cooked, that is cool. He laughed at his comment because he knew for the life of him his father couldn't cook. "Well my dad is in the military so he can't cook for his life. He can't even cook mac and cheese without burning it. We always had cans and such. So mostly soup and beans for dinner." He didn't mind it actually, some of the soups were good. He raised his one eyebrow at her comment. She didn't think he would be interested in cooking. He narrowed his eyes playfully and asked, "Now what would you think I would be interested in? You think I would be skateboarding all day?" It was fun teasing her and seeing her get all flustered.
He was pleased to know she was gonna join him. "Well I am glad to know my food will withstand the great halls food. I mean it is better anyways." Not bragging or anything right? "Aahh so my nickname is Chef now?" he laughed at her promise to give him nicknames. He was busy flipping the pancakes when he realized he forgot to get the plates. "Hey would you do me a favor the get the plates? They are right over there..." he pointed to the cupboard. He grinned and was planning to have a flour fight soon but she was gonna be surprised of course.

The military? Kate only halfway understood what that was all about. She was raised in a magical family who mainly stayed within the bounds of the magical world. Whatever it called for his dad to do, Kate guessed the man wasn't really home enough to learn how to cook. "What about your...mom?" she asked, because the way Colt talked, it was only his dad who was around to heat up things like soup. She hoped she wasn't asking too personal of a question.
She thought about his next question and shrugged. "I'm not sure. I haven't really thought about what kind of hobbies you might like, but I guess because you mentioned liking to get into trouble so much that you didn't have time for things like cooking," she replied. "I guess you sure surprised me, Chef." She grinned at that. She nodded and turned to get the plates. She felt sort of funny rummaging through the house elves' things, but she guessed they didn't mind too much. "Here they are," she said, pulling a few out the cupboard.

Colt heard her ask about his mother and he shrugged. "She is pretty cool. She was always busy trying to support me and her. She would always work two jobs while my father was away. I never got to see her too much but now she only has one which is nice." He wasn't gonna tell her what her really job was. I mean it was a family business thing. He could tell her eventually when they really got to know each other. He chuckled at her response and thought it was clever. "Yeah true well a dude's gotta eat ya know? My mom even said a girl appreciates a man who can cook, fix a tire and do the laundry." He smiled when she settled on his nickname. "You still cool with my nickname for you?" he asked to be sure.
When she got the plates, he flipped three pancakes and put chocolate chips on them. He let them melt into the mix a little bit. "Do you want chocolate chips in your or you like them plain?" he asked. He was already making three chocolate chips one for himself but he would give them to her if she asked. "Now tell me about yourself Princess." He wanted to know a little bit about her.
Finally making it into the kitchen she found herself so hungry. Noticing someone shes seen hang out with her cousin she smiled, making her way towards the girl "its Cinna right??" she smiled "Im Echo, Emmy's cousin" leaning against the kitchen counter she looked around.
"so what are you planning on getting for foods, im not quite sure yet myself" he stomach made a huge noise as she thought she should get some food as soon as possible.
Ugh. She had no idea what she wanted to eat. See this was another reason why it was nice to have Bart around, even though half the time he wasn't any help figuring what to eat either. She flopped her head down on the table.
Ugh.
Food, come to her.
If it was only that easy. Hearing someone come in she looked up. It was Emmy's cousin, Echo! "Echo! Hey how are you?" She knew who the Slytherin was because of Emmy. She gave Echo a smile.
"I've been sitting here trying to figure that out myself." She was so hungry that she didn't even know what she wanted? Pizza? Chicken wings? Chicken wing pizza? Now that sounded good!

All that talking made the Slytherin hungry. Besides...it was time for breakfast! Tickling the pear on the portrait, Ethan ushered Oliver, Tom, and Lucas inside his sactuarythe kitchens. It was still early in the morning, so they had the kitchen to themselves. Cool, eh?
"Welcome to the Great Kitchen of Hogwarts! My second favourite place." he said beaming at the first years. "Come on now, let's sit down and get something heavy to eat." Ethan gestured the boys inside, sat down on one of the benches and waved at one of the passing house elves. "Four breakfast plates please? Thanks!" He wasn't too sure if it was Toddles he saw.
But anyway, while they waited for their food, "So, are there any questions so far?" he asked, grinning at the tiny snakes. Was he that cute when he was little?

Adelynn had made a list of the different areas of the castle that she wanted to visit. The Kitchens ranked pretty high on her list, as the girl loved to eat. After a long walk from the Ravenclaw dorms down to the kitchen level, she had finally made it.
She had a few ideas of what food she wanted, but decided it was best to wait for a house elf and get their recommendation. That was a thing right?
Looking around at the few different groups that were already there, she decided to sit at the end of an empty table. Maybe someone would join her.

Angel decided that it was time to go down to the kitchen and to see what had changed, she was hoping that nothing would have changed but she was about to find out. She hoped that everything would be the same it was great for her because she liked changed but this places had way too many changes especially with the staff. Though at least Flamsteed was still around and she was going to see him soon about a few things?
Angel now had to figure out what she was going to do next, she had gotten to the kitchen and it looked like it was the same so at least that was something at least to smile about, she was so lost in thought she didn't realise someone was in the kitchen until she turned around right next to her and saw her.
"Hey." Angel smiled at the younger child. "How are you?" Angel now had to figure out what she was doing next. "I'm Angel Valentine." Angel hoped that other girl wouldn't mind her talking to her.

Adelynn watched as another girl came in, she looked a bit older than her. When the girl sat next to her, she straightened up a bit, made eye contact and smiled. "Hello Angel! I'm Adelynn, third year, Ravenclaw." She exaggerated the ravenclaw bit as she was still excited about being sorted into a house. It made being at Hogwarts feel real to her.
But what if Angel thought she was weird for exaggerating? What if she thought she was being too formal? What if she thought she was weird? WHAT IF? Overthinking the simple introduction, Adelynn decided to go into further elaboration.
"I'm new here. Just transferred from Beauxbatons!" She gave an anxious smile. Then she broke the eye contact and looked down.
Feeling self conscious she wanted to take the focus off of her. "So what brings you to the kitchen?"
All that talking made the Slytherin hungry. Besides...it was time for breakfast! Tickling the pear on the portrait, Ethan ushered Oliver, Tom, and Lucas inside his sactuarythe kitchens. It was still early in the morning, so they had the kitchen to themselves. Cool, eh?

Tom thought the whole thing was absolutely brilliant: tickling the pear, the five tables matching those in the Great Hall, the countless house-elves running around. There was a distinct bounce to his steps (though only a little one) as he followed Ethan to a table.
He had hundreds of questions in his mind, but he managed to get it down to a few. "Are we allowed to come in here whenever we want? Will you show us where the library is? Oh, what about the secret room where the Hogwarts Defenders stayed during the last year of the war?" There was just so much he wanted to see at Hogwarts! He doubted whether he'd have time to see it all in his first year, in fact.

Adi led the way into the kitchen, hand in hand with AJ. What else could be the perfect Hogwarts date for them than making their own and hanging out in the kitchen? Food and House elves? YES, please! Was Toddles around? The elf was always soooo helpful and had been so awesome to drop by at the Hufflepuff Hangout earlier.
Anyway.
"I'm in the mood to eat everything,'' Adi stated mildly to AJ, now swinging their linked hands. "But I think I want to make something from scratch. What do you want to have, baby?'' Was she going to say tacos? Pizza? Sandwiches? All of that? Haha. Between the two of them, they could swallow enough food to probably feed a small army.

This was the last year Adi would be with her at Hogwarts, she thought as she held on to his hand. Yeah, it would suck, but she would not be that moping kid that couldn't function without her boyfriend. She would miss him, but they would make it work. Who was going to make her do her homework when he was gone? There was plenty of time to think about that. Food was the only concern of hers at the moment.
"Mmm... me too." In fact at that very moment her mouth began to water. Oh, the tasty possibilities. "Let's make a taco pizza, and a taco dessert. OH, and a taco drink." Too much? Yeah, probably. She didn't care though. They all sounded good to her.

Adi laughed. She was amusing, wasn't she? "I'm surprised you haven't gone on a rampage to eat all the food the elves have stashed here,'' he teased. His woman and her huge appetite. "Let's see how much we can get done. A pizza will all your favourite taco ingredients sound good though. Want to start with that?" Still holding AJ's hand, he headed over to the cupboard he knew held the ingredients for dough. He was the master at making pizzas, you know. Pizzas and tacos... those were his specialties.
"You want to get the topping ingredients while I work on the dough?'' Oh wait... that would mean letting go of her hand. He didn't want that. Haha! How was he supposed to work and keep a hold of AJ's hand? Ahh, the great dilemma!

"Well, I figured the year is still young. No need to scare off the elves completely, ya know?" Plus, she had loads of food up in her common room. You never knew when you could need a midnight snack in the form of a hamburger. Probably not the most sanitary thing ever, but she hadn't died yet. Death by hamburger. It seemed like a pretty cool way to go out if you asked her.
"Yeah, let's start with that. I want a super thick crust on the pizza." Extra everything. Her mouth was getting even more watery. "Okay." AJ brought Adi's hand that was holding hers up to her face. "I might need this for a second," she teased. Right before releasing his hand, she gave it a quick peck.
AJ started to rummage through the different cabinets getting everything that she would need. When she got to the cold stuff, she popped some cheese into her mouth. "I think this is everything." More cheese went into her mouth.

"Whatever my baby wants.'' Still he made to move to release her hand. He was being super clingy, wasn't he? Luckily AJ took that into control? "Sure. I would rather have our food made than spend my time holding your hand, anyway.'' Adi smiled when she kissed his hand, feeling the warmth of her lips. He in turn tickled her side before she went off.
By the time she got back, the seventh year had dumped all the necessary ingredients into a bowl for the crust and was happily kneading it all together. "Hey! Save some cheese for me too!'' He snagged some for himself. "Now stand back and watch the master at work,'' he told his girlfriend with a wink. Time for pizza dough tossing!
Up, up, up went the dough with Adi catching it expertly each time. Yep, his reflexes were that good.
Angel looked at Adelynn and heard what she said. "Oh cool, one of my sisters is in Ravenclaw, the other is in Gryffindor like myself." Angel giggled. "I'm one of triplets." Angel thought it was awesome being a triplet and she was totally enjoying being at school with her sisters. She wondered why her parents weren't magical. She was still trying to figure out how that whole situation worked.
Angel suddenly heard Adelynn asking her what brought her down to the kitchen. "I'm thinking of going on a binge." Angel was still having a rough day and she thought some ice-cream might help her. "Though I need to watch what I eat." Angel had no idea why she was saying all this to someone who she had just met.

YES! FINALLY! Foooood!
Olly practically threw himself into a seat across from Ethan. He was starving, and very happy that it was finally time for food. "What is the best food you've ever had at Hogwarts?" He asked Ethan. Whatever it was, he would have to try it and see if it lived up to the expectations. But no pressure Ethan.
Tom was asking more relevant questions, about their exploration. Olly was not super interested in the library. Who cared about schoolwork and books when there were other, much more exciting, things for them to see. Like the room! "The Room of Requirement!" See? He knew the name. "What about the Chamber of Secrets? Can we see that? Can we go in?Is there still a snake in there?" He knew there had been a specific kind of magical snake, but the name was escaping him at the moment. He was pretty sure it had been killed, but that didn't mean there couldn't still be one there. Just a different once.

Noelle rushed from the music room..... well really from her dorm. Owen had went to change his clothes, and she didn't want to get to the kitchen too early so she had went to get another shirt. If he was getting one on then she wanted to too.
Now she was sprinting down to the kitchens because from the music room, to the dorms, and back down to the kitchens..... that was a lot of walking. Noelle was panting and about to die, or at least it felt like it, when she finally reached the kitchen. It had taken her a few turns and run arounds before she had found it. She really needed a map. Or a rememberball to remember where she was going... because that's what it was for right? Heh.
Skidding into the kitchens, Noelle was sweating from head to toe. She needed a drink... and she was panting for breath. Was Owen here yet? Surely he would be... The Hufflepuff dorms were not in a tower... at least not that she remembered.
Needing to take a breath, she sat. Owen could come find her. She needed a tiny itty bitty break.

Zeke was hungry and in a mood, and he wanted something... chocolatey. So the only logical thing to do was to grant himself access to the kitchens and ask one of the house elves for chocolate cake. Super logical. And that's exactly what he did.
After having tickled the pear, Zeke entered the kitchen and started snooping around for whatever cake he could find. Left overs had never bothered him, and if he didn't have to wait around for one to be cooked, he'd be even happier. Or y'know.... a fresh one might be nice too. Whatever worked.
Now... WHERE would these nifty house elves keep the cake stuffs? He somehow STILL hadn't figured that out. He never was good in the kitchen.
