Noelle ventured to the kitchens a lot. She loved the house elves and they told the best stories.

So tonight, before curfew, Noelle ventured down again. She was a bit sniffly, and just wanted to be in the company of some cheerful people. When she got to the kitchen though, she silently made her way over to fireplace.. Alllllllll the way over to the other side of the room.


Noelle knew better than to get too close. She didn't want to get burned. Instead, she tried to make herself invisible to the side of the fireplace, where she could still feel it's warmth. she held a piece of parchment in her hands. One that was crumbles from being read so many times. Her pet goat had passed while she was in school.

Needless to say, Noelle was sad.

She couldn't believe it. Baskin had been so alive and healthy when she left... What had happened?? She brought her knees to her chest and rested her chin on her knees. Poor Baskin....

It's not the curfew time yet, wasn't it? Ava walked down to the kitchen because she needs some snacks and hot chocolate. And where would she find them? The kitchen of course.

Walking down to the kitchen with her pajamas on (she wouldn't get detention just because she's wandering around the castle with the PJ?), The young lioness then made a huge tumbler of hot chocolate and grabbed some fresh-from-the-oven double chocolate muffins that was just baked by the house elves. When she was heading back, she noticed that there was somebody else who was sitting in front of the fireplace. Someone familiar to be exact. Ava then walked closer and recognized that person. "Noelle?" She said. "Hey, what's uh... what's going on?" Because it seemed like she was sad and a little bit sniffly. Maybe she just cried.

Noelle had been watching the fire thinking about going home to see her family. She missed them terribly. Loosing Baskin made her miss them a lot. Gosh, she was being a terrible downer.

Hearing a voice, she jumped a bit. "Oi! Sorry! I wasn't expecting anyone to be here." Noelle said as she looked to see who it was. Hey! She knew her. Ava! She would usually be all bubbly but she just wasn't feeling it tonight.

"Yeah yeah I'm.... " She thought about lying but Noelle did want to talk about it. "... No. I lost my pet goat. And I miss my family and I just want to cuddle my mum." Those were Norma feelings right? Noelle sniffled again.

The young lioness put her hot chocolate and muffin to the table nearby and sat next to Noelle, listening to her talking. Losing her pet goat and miss her family? Did she mean losing as it's running away or.... Nope. It's not running away. It's dead. "I'm so sorry to hear that... About your goat, I mean." Maybe if Preston was dead, she would be down and hiding herself to cry like this. She moved closer and gave her fellow lion a hug.

"I miss my family too..." Ava murmured. She missed Dima, Alana, little Keenan, Zhenya, her parents, even she missed being yelled by her mom. "Even my twin brother is here, I also miss him since we're not in the same house and uh... He spends lots of his time all by himself." Like studying, reading and... Well, she doubted if Teddy spent his time talked with his fellow Eagles. For now, she's not really mad at him anymore.

Muffins! People said that eating could make someone who wasn't in a good mood become better. Ava then grabbed the muffins plate and offered it to Noelle. "D'you want some? And I have hot chocolate too."

Yep. Her dead goat Baskins.

Sniff.

Then Ava was hugging her and it took everything not to cry. Because when you draw attention to someone's feelings, who are trying to hold those feelings in, they start to leak out. "Its okay. People and things die but I wasn't expecting it and I had him since he was a wee little thing." Sniffle sigh.

Noelle listened as Ava said she missed her family too. "I used to always be with my mum and when I was upset about something I could crawl into her bed but she's not here." The holidays were coming up though so she would get to see them soon.

The sniffling and the plate of muffins in front of her was a good combination. Nodding, she grabbed one softly. "Thanks." She said and sat the muffin in her lap. "What are you doing down here?"

Ava didn't know what to say anymore since she'd never experienced of losing someone that she love or her pet or anything. But she knew that it was awful, especially Noelle said that she had the goat since it was still a teeny tiny ickle baby.

"Your mom sounds nice." The young lioness commented. "My mom... well, she's nice too but she's very strict and uh... I often get scolded by her. And not to mention that she seemed pick Teddy over me. But I do miss her." No matter how strict she was, she's still her mother and loves her. Maybe after this she would write the letter for her. But dunno what to say to her. She munched her muffin and thought about that.

What was she doing here?

"To get muffins." Ava answered. "And hot chocolate too." People came down here to get food, right?

Her mum chose Teddy? Noelle connected sots and figured Teddy was a sibling. That was sad. Her mum was more strict than her dad, but her mum was still no way shape or form strict... Except for bedtime. She was always strict during bedtime.
"Thats dreadful. About your mum I mean. You're a bundle of awesome. She shouldn't pick favorites." She was pretty sure her mum didn't pick favorites. At least, she didn't think.

Muffins. And cocoa. Ava had a good head on her shoulder. "I came down here to speak with the elves but I don't see any down here. But muffins and cocoa sounds good too."

Dreadful? Maybe.

"I think it's the twins problem." The young lioness said. "Or maybe because Teddy is more obedient and nice and always has a good grades when we were in muggle school while me... I am me." She's quite rebellious than her twin brother. When she disapproved something, she's not afraid to say that she disapproved it, and he's not really great in some theoretical lessons. She was used to hear her mother said 'Why don't you be like Teddy?' But she'd never felt jealous of him. In fact, she always protected him from the bullies that loved to tease and bully them in school. "Do you have siblings?" Suddenly she asked Noelle. If she had, maybe she'd understand.

Muffins and hot chocolate were great? They're not great, they're heavenly great!!! "I love muffins." Ava said and munched her muffin. Her mom used to love baking some muffins for weekend. "Do you often talk to the house elves?"

Twins.

She was a twin? Why did Noelle not know this? Her eyes grew wide. "Twin thing. Are there other twin things that you two have going on?" Noelle always wondered if there was a difference in how twins acted opposed to siblings.
Then she was asking about her siblings. Probably to see if she understood to a fraction, how she felt.

"i have two younger brothers and a sister on her way." Noelle told Ava, almost giggling because she remembered when she told Noah and he thought her mum was actually about to pop. "Five and three. And both super energetic and ... Sometimes crazy. But I love them to bits. " Her mother didn't really compare them but I think it was due to their ages and being completely different, all three.

Noelle scooted from the fire because it was getting a little hot. "i tend to come and watch them. Usually I don't get this close to their territory because they aren't too keen on students coming down and 'taking over' their space." Noelle said. "What about you? Do you ever come down here to talk with them?"

"Just that, lucky that my twin is a boy. Maybe if it's a girl, people will be hard to recognize which one is me and which one is the other." Like Angel and AJ. It's very hard to differ which one is which one. "And we're not similar. So... I wonder if either one of us get switch at birth but my parents said we weren't. But not all twins have to share the similarity, right?" Because if they were similar, that would pretty boring. With the differences between Teddy and her, she loved to forced him doing something that he didn't enjoy to like... Flying on a broomstick or climbing a tree. And he's always there to teach her how to do homework and lessons and any other stuffs.

Younger siblings? "You're the oldest?" Ava widened her eyes. "Is it fun to have younger siblings? I am the youngest... Well, Teddy and I." She corrected herself. Since Zhenny and them has a little big gap on age, she wondered if actually they were born accidentally... Well, unplanned to be exact.

So Noelle came here often to watch the house elves? "Not really." She answered that girl. "I just came here when I want muffins or other else and usually they are so busy and I don't want to bother them." Because bothering someone (or something) when they were busy was rude, right?

They were their own ting and yang. That was pretty awesome.

"I used to thing it would be awesome to be a twin when I was younger, and then one of my brothers was born, annnnnnnd, nope. I'm good being just me." She said giggling. "Although, my two younger brothers are both sorta alike. They have their differences, but they are together nonstop and my younger brother barely leaves my older brothers side."

Boy, just talking about her family made her miss them.

"i love being the oldest. It was fun helping take care of them when I was younger..Q" She said like she was soooo much older than them. She was only 6 when James was born. "Im hoping that when my baby sister is born, she will be more like me. And we can even the ties against the boys."

"I come here for food too, but I tend to stay out of the way when they work. I don't want to be a bother, but my parents don't have any house elves at the farm. Sometimes I wish we did, how cool would that be? I think they are marvelous creatures." Noelle told Ava. "Dont you ever just wanna go to a place and just watch?"
