The Chamber of Secrets has been opened! ...but only through the secret passage from the Girls' Bathroom. If you've taken the plunge down the long and winding tunnel, you will have been dumped at the forefront of this cavern. Walk the serpent-lined entrance corridor if you dare, and you will emerge into the stunning hideaway designed by Salazar Slytherin himself.
The famed Chamber of Secrets is a massive, dimly lit vault far, far below the school and deeper even than the Black Lake. Towering stone pillars entwined with carved, wooden serpents reach toward a high ceiling lost in darkness. At the far end of this long room is a giant statue of the sneakiest of the school's founders, a statue which used to house a basilisk and only Merlin knows what other monsters. You may want to light your wand to see all the way to the statue and past the faint, greenish-glow gloom throughout this echoing cavern.
Explorers of the heir's lair: beware your step. No one really knows what's still here miles beneath the school's plumbing.

Sabbath needed ideas on how to keep them safe. Because..... Noelle was coming up with nothing. This is what happens when two first years go down into a secret chamber with knowing the bare minimum of magic.
Noelle kept her hands on her face but was in deed peeking through them. "Well my idea on how to get out of here is using the suctioning charm. Remember that one??" Maybe he would... But then again... This was Sabbie and he had a knack for missing classes to practice his flamenco dancing.
But that was her brilliant plan.
The next thing she saw was a huge statue thing. Of a giant mans face. And Sabbie thought it was of the Slytherin founder.
Noelle completely uncovered her eyes, thinking he was probably right with about the snake with all the noise they were making. She stared at the statue. "Hes not the best looking guy." Noelle said contemplating his features. Poor guy.
Her robes were soaked though because they were standing in a few inches of water. Noelle moved her wand around until....
"AHHH!"
There was a giant snake skeleton not but a few hundred feet from them.. She grabbed hold of her wand tighter. Holy Merlin.

"Come on I'll be with you. You can even hold my hand if you get too scared.." he offered to her kindly. He knew he needed to be a little more sensitive with Kate which is not a problem. "If you really get TOO scared we can always go back.." he offered to calm her down slightly.
Kate glanced from Colt to the Chamber and back again. "To be honest, this'll be my second time in. Professor Cassie brought us in to make necklaces last school year. They were supposed to chase away the Acromantula, but who knows if they actually worked," she said. She paused then smiled at him. "But this'll be my first time in without a professor." On that note, she guessed she would follow him in. They'd already come this far, after all.
She took his hand, which she didn't know if he was expecting, then cast a final look (for now) behind her. Safety. Safety that was certain. Who knew about the Chamber, and every time she went in, she questioned if she'd come back alive. "Okay, well...let's do this before I change my mind, she said. If they waited any longer, she'd turned around and go back. "After you." No way was she going in first. They boy in this situation could do that!

Colt heard her babble on and on but he couldn't wait to jump in. "Don't mind if I do and it is a lot more fun without the Professors I believe." he grinned and jumped into the dark tunnel. He felt his stomach dropping feeling and felt alive. He felt the adrenaline rush and was screaming with joy. He was laughing and he hoped Kate was following close behind him. THUMP!!
He looked around and saw he landed on bones. Erghhhh okay now that was gross. He wiped off his hands and wondered where Kate was. "KATE!? KATE!?" he began to look around.

Well. Colt was the brave one, wasn't he? Look at that Gryffindor coming out in him! Meanwhile, Kate was trying to act all Ravenclaw and think things through first, but that was hard to do when it was the Chamber of Secrets they were talking about.
...and then--"AHHH!" she yelled out. Colt must have not picked up on the fact that she had grabbed a hold of his hand. He jumped into the dark tunnel, and she went sailing in after him. She barely had time to think about what had happened, when she landed on something gross and disgusting.
"Ew!" she shrieked, and jumped up. Where was Colt?! Was she down here alone?! Was she going to get eaten now?! She heard his voice and fumbled through the darkness until she was next to him. "I'm here! I'm here!" she said, starting to relax a little. She'd been down here before. She could do this.

When Colt went down into the tunnel, he had no idea Kate was holding his hand. He didn't pick up on that because he was enjoying his adrenaline rush. After what seems like they got separated, he patted down his hands from the dust and debris he heard Kate's voice. He followed it and walk over and took her hand and squeezed it. "Kate are you okay?" he asked. I mean he heard her scream bloody murder. Maybe bringing her down here wasn't such a good idea.
Once he began to look at his surroundings, he saw there was a door down little ways. He grinned with glee, "And look there is the door.." he said walking up to the big door with a snake on it. He wondered if he needed to speak parseltongue. "Do you think we need to speak parseltongue? To get it to open?" Before his question was answered, the door was opened with a push. He raised his brows and took her hand and led her to the chamber. Man this place was more beautiful than he imagined. Wwoooaaahh look at the statues and he saw the famous Salazar Slytherin head in the middle. He was grinning in glee and walked up to the front and looked back to make sure Kate was alright.
"Now this is bloody cool..." he said still looking around the chamber.

"Hmm, the suctioning charm..", Sabbath repeated as he searched his memory "No, I don't think I've heard of that one." He shrugged "It was probably in one the classes that I missed" he said, looking at her sheepishly.
He knew his skipping classes was a sticking point for Nells, but he was not worried. Now, they had made a deal for her to help him out with her class notes in exchange for him teaching her Spanish, he thought he'd have even more time free for flamenco training.
"It sounds like the suctioning charm could work, should we try it out here first?" He said as he assessed the stone wall and Slytherin's face statue for suctionability, poking at it with his finger.
Nells was checking out Slytherin's face too. He chuckled at her comment and agreed, "Yeah, he was an ugly git".
His line of thought was broken by Nells' shriek. By wand light, she had found the bleached bones of the old basilisk. The skeleton was only a short distance away gleaming white in the light of her wand.
"Oh, cool! Come on.." he said, raising his own lit wand to see better. Sabbath was over there in a second. He picked up one of the fangs. “Woah, check this out! Nells, Its a Basilisk fang, what a find!” he exclaimed. There was no way they were leaving this behind, he thought.

Try the suctioning charm on the statue??
But there was plenty of room to climb up that statue of that mans face. Noelle was already looking and calculating her movements when Sabbie suggested using the spell. Noelle made a face. "But that's just boring. There's got to be some risk. That's the fun part. Just like climbing trees and such." Noelle looked back up at the statue.
But then there was the bones....
And Sabbath was running towards them...
And now he was holding the basilisk fang....
Noelle gritted her teeth. "Sabbath be careful!!" Because knowing him... He would end up hurting himself just holding the fang.
She slowly started toward the bones, moving her wand around little by little to see if there was anything else lurking anywhere.
