Noelle had been exploring around the school again. She was deter wind to find another secret passage.... But first, the little girls room.

Needing one quickly, she squealed in delight when she found one not too far from where she was searching. Entering it, she went in and headed straight to the stall. Relieving herself, she hummed. Yes, she was a goer and a hummer. And she was not ashamed.

Flushing, she needed to go wash her hands. The bathroom was okay kept, but she figured the whole school could use a good spider web and bug sweep. Noelle went to go wash her hands like any good girl should do after doing her business... Only, there was a big hole in the floor and the basins surrounded it. What the?

OMM THIS MUST BE THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS HER MUM TALKED ABOUT!

Why was it so dark? "Lumos." Noelle said and held the wand tightly over the hole. She didn't want to drop it into there. She didn't know what was down there. Should she go in?? Her first REAL ADVENTURE.

Sabbath had heard stories about the about the infamous chamber of secrets that had been opened many years prior to his arrival at Hogwarts and he had to admit, he'd been intrigued. He and Nells had talked about it and he'd scoured his History of Hogwarts text for any reference to it, but had been met with a factual but rather insipid account of the events of the year of its last opening -- He wanted to know more.

Checking that there was no one about, he passed down the second floor corridor and slipped silently into the girls bathroom where the entrance was rumoured to be. Lo and behold, he found Nells standing on the edge of a large hole in the floor, her wand lit, staring down into the abyss, she'd found it. He was surprised to see her there, but at the same time he wasn't, he knew she was brave and adventurous, he should have known she'd be on the lookout for the chamber as well. He cleared his throat, so as not to startle her as he approached, "Great minds think alike, hey Nells" he said, smiling at her. "Should have know you'd beat me to it". He walked up to the chamber entrance and stood beside her lighting his wand in unison with hers "Lumos". He peered down into dank, dark hole and looked at Nells, raising his eyebrows and grinning, "Well, what are we waiting for?" he smiled at her, his eyes twinkling with the anticipation of adventure.

Noelle was peering down into the black abyss, trying to get her wand lower to see what was down there. She didn't want to just fall blindly, and break her legs or something. She liked where her legs were.

She was about to just jump because obviously there was no telling what was down there. When a voice cleared.

Noelle thought she was being caught by a teacher but beamed when she saw it was Sabbie. She hugged him tightly before his wand joined hers. "lets do it!" She said taking his hand and jumping. No thoughts. They were both going down.

Noelle had landed hard but rolled, letting go of Sabbies hand. Her wand was still clutched tightly in her hand. She got up slowly, realizing she hadn't broken anything. "SABBIE?!" She called out loudly and shone her light around her.

Sabbath landed awkwardly on his feet, stumbling forward and landing sideways on the flagstones in a puddle of water. His wand flew out of his hand and he scrambled forwards on his knees to grab it. He stood up, inspecting his now soaking robes. He decided to take them off, bundling them up into a damp ball and stuffing them into the mouth of a nearby snake-headed gargoyle. He'd pick them up on the way back out. On second thoughts, he took off his tie and left that with the bundle too. Ahh! he felt so much better without that restriction.

He looked over at Nells, when he heard her calling for him. He could see her wand light a only a short distance away. "I'm over here", He answered. He went toward her wand light, expecting to see her appearing out the darkness in front him as he approached, but as he walked closer the light seemed to be moving away from him, drawing him further into the chamber. He picked up pace, following it, thinking she mustn't of heard him reply. Then, he stopped. "Nells, where are you?" he called, his voice echoing back from the unlit chamber. The light ahead of him stopped too, he glanced back towards the entrance, unsure, was the light ahead of him Nells or something else.

Noelles closed were soaked and she shivered slightly because cold. She looked around with her wand lit up. "Sabbie??" She called out to him again, hearing a scuffle of noises. "Sabbath Gitano Gimenez....,this is not funny. Come back right now!" She said in her stern, but nervous voice.

Noelle saw a light and heard his voice finally.

Only... Whose light was that? It wasn't hers...
Hers was right here.


"SABBATH IM OVER HERE!!" She yelled out louder, trying to get him to stop following that weird light. Putting her wand out in front of her, she headed after him. "Sabbie pplllleasseee. Don't leave me alonnnne. You're following something that isn't meeee!"

And since the two had been the only ones that had come down here... She was betting, this wasn't going to be a good thing.

Sabbie saw the light ahead of him start to flicker, thats weird, he muttered.

Then he heard Nells' voice, calling his name. He glanced back over his shoulder towards the sound of her voice, she sounded anxious. But, what was that other light?, he thought, turning back quickly.

Strangely, the light had gone. He paused scanning the darkness, holding his lit wand up above his head. There was no trace of it.

He turned back, calling out in reply to Nells as he went, I'm coming, Nells. Did you see that light?

Oh thank Merlin. He was coming back.

Noelle hadn't realized she'd been holding her breath when she suddenly let it out. "Are you okay? What were you following?" She asked as she caught up to him.

Sabbie lifted her wand and looked down further, but the light he was following seemed to have gone. "Lets follow and see where this goes." Noelle said, her heart returning to normal but adrenaline rushing through her bones. She didn't know many spells but she was going to use what she knew to rescue Sabbie if need be.

Sabbath could see Noelle approaching him through the darkness, He replied to her questions as she caught up with him, "Yeah, I'm fine. I was following a light, at first I thought it was your wand light but then it flickered and disappeared. Weird!" From the look on her face, he could see she'd been worried for him, he put his arm around her shoulder and gave her a little squeeze, "Are you OK? he said with a smile.

He agreed with her suggestion, "Yes, lets follow it". He turned back again to the passageway raising his lit wand before him and progressed further into the chamber, Nells at his side, his eyes twinkling with adventure.

As they neared the end of the passageway lined with snake-headed gargoyles, the roof opened out into a vast dome, drawing his eye upwards. He gasped and stared transfixed as the domed ceiling was covered with millions of luminescent twinkling lights. The effect was breathtaking, like starlight in the blackest sky. A colony of glow worms were living in the roof of the chamber, thousands upon thousands of them twinkling and flickering in the darkness, their laced garlands hanging like ethereal chandeliers.

A few glowing beetles flew randomly in the air around them, some shining brightly, others flickering and fading. It was immediately apparent to Sabbath what the light he'd mistakenly followed had been. "Glow worms, Nells, that's the light I was following!" he exclaimed with a laugh.

Noelle was excited to see what Sabbie had been following. Her imagination was running wild with what could have been those lights.

She was not expecting glow worms.

Noelles mouth dropped open as they walked into the dome. She was in awe. She'd never seen anything like it, and she had seen a whole field of fireflies one night. That had been beautiful in itself.

Noelle let her wand drop a little as she turned to look at all the glow worms. She had been expecting for something more.... Dangerous... But this was a happy surprise.

"Glow worms?? There are so many!!" Noelle said and looked up at Sabbie in amazement. She put her hand out to try and touch one that seemed to either be flying or roaring a little in front of her.

Sabbath took Nells hand and led her further into the glimmering dome. He gazed up at the roof with it multitudes of twinkling lights and hanging beadlike laces that were strung from the chamber roof catching the light like chandeliers.

He stopped with her in the centre of the domed room. The sound of the glow beetles produced a harmonic humming as their chirrupping overlapped at varying pitches. "Wow, it's like nature's orchestra, Nells". He grinned, clearly awed by the earthy experience. Still holding her hand, he smiled, raised her arm and began to turn her in a slow dance underneath the glittering roof. A few glow beetles had taken flight, flickering and swirling randomly in air around them.

Nells was too busy being fascinated by the .. (Ew) bugs to notice she was being led to the center of the room. Her head swirled about as she took it all in. Looking down, she giggled as the worms glow, glowed on her skin.

Then there was chirping.

Nells mouth dropped open a bit because whoa since when did worms chirp?? Noelle didn't want a closer look to get to know these bugs. She grinned at Sabbie. "I wonder how long it's been since.." Oh, they were dancing.

Noelle moved with him and smiled. "...since there have been anyone down here. Also.... How are we getting back up?"

Perhaps they were magic glow worms or something. He had no idea why they were chirruping, he was no expert on bugs after all, but hey, he was happy to use them to his advantage in the moment.

As he danced with Nells, he did wonder about her comment. It had probably been a very long time since anyone had been down here. "I don't know, probably no ones been down here for ages", he pondered. "You know, I heard that a giant snake lurked down here once. I guess no ones been mad enough to want to come down here…” he paused, "until you and I, that is," he said with a grin.

Often the victim of his own impulsivity, Sabbath had not given any thought to how they were going to get back out, in fact he was still thinking about going further in. He shrugged at Nells, "I'm out of ideas on how to get out, what do you suggest?" he said, his voice echoing off the chamber walls.

Noelle put her hands on Sabbies shoulders as they danced. Her eyes kept darting around her, taking in the beautiful yet eerie glow of the worms and their chirping. "Maybe they are a Hogwarts breed of glow worms. She asked Sabbie and looked back up at him as they moved around.

What? A snake??

Noelle's eyes moved from Sabbie in alarm and looked everywhere around them to see if she could see any snake lurking in the dark around them. She stepped closer because safety. "Merlin Sabbie... Don't scare me now." Although to be quite frank, Nells was kind of excited to be in a place where people where scared to be.

"What else do you think is here??" She asked, her eyes still wandering through the dark. They could figure out how to get back up later. It was time for some exploring.

Sabbath mentioning the giant snake had frightened Nells a little and she stepped in closer to him. He hadn't failed to notice this, holding her protectively, he proceded to tell her all the frightening details he'd heard about it, quite possibly hyperbolising the scary bits for effect. "Oh yes, Nells, apparently it was massive, covered in slimy green and black scales, with glowing, evil red eyes and fangs that dripped with poisonous venom." He wrinkled his nose to indicate fear and disgust and continued, lowering his voice to a whisper...

"You know, I've heard that one girl was killed instantly by looking upon its demonic stare, he widened his eyes for effect, "and they say that others, just by catching a glimpse of its reflection were petrified like solid stone! Just imagine, Nells, those poor kids and how terrified they must have been, when the last thing they saw were those burning red eyes, and gaping fangs!!," he said.

Perhaps there's traces of it left. Maybe old bones or even fangs, we could go further in and see if we can find anything.

GASP.

Oh no, what if the snake was looking at her??

Noelle closed her eyes tight and lifted a hand feeling around Sabbies face to shield his eyes. "Well don't look! Close your eyes!" Whyyyy had she wanted to go down here? She wasn't ready to be snake food. She was too precious and young.

Bones?? There were bones down here?

"I wonder if the glow worms could tell us where they are?? or well like... Show them.

Also...

"Do not get us killed Sabbie. I need to live to see 13."

Larissa just wanted a quiet place to cry because that's all she's been doing lately was crying. She liked to think that she had a very good reason for all this crying but she just wanted it all to stop. She didn't want to feel as if she was empty and alone anymore. She just wanted to feel like herself. Like the self that stuttered and didn't know how to properly socialize with people because of her shyness.

Rissa walked over to the sink. She turned the faucet on and splashed some water on her face. Then something strange happened. There was a hole in the floor. Why? The seventh year stepped towards the hole a little more and looked down.

The brunette took her wand out. "Lumos." She said as the tip of her wand lit up. She stepped a little closer and moved her wand a little lower to see if there was anything in there. As she looked down her right foot slipped and she fell in. Larissa held on tight to her wand and she was sent flying down the tunnel. She didn't like this. Why was she so clumsy? "Omph!" She was at the bottom, she had to be. Rissa quickly stood up and made her that nothing was broken. She was fine. She held her wand up and looked around.

Colt heard the Chamber has been opened. He knew about this chamber from his grandparents and his cousins. I mean this place was a legend and why not explore it ya know? He was quite excited for this but he wanted to share it with someone. He owled Kate to meet him here because let's face it, she needs a little adventure in her life. Plus his cousin gave him a tip saying usually when girls are scared they will hold your hand for the whole rest of the way. That is like one step progress right there if she holds your hand.

He waited near the entrance for her. In the meantime he began to examine what was in front of him what looked like symbols or maybe a snake?

Kate read the note once again. Surely Colt meant the lake. ...nope. He really DID mean the Chamber of Secrets. Kate was terrified of the place and wasn't looking forward to venturing inside of it at all. Maybe she could talk Colt out of it, and if not, at least she had a boy to protect her if some huge man-eating snake happened to pop up out of nowhere.

Yeah. She'd read too many history books.

Shoving the note back into her pocket, Kate headed toward the Chamber. "Hey, Colt," she said, smiling as she saw him standing there. She was glad they'd decided to take things slowly, because now she had time to really develop some feelings for him. Who knew what fourth year would hold for them. "The Chamber? Are you sure about this?" she asked. Deciding to be honest, she added, "You know I'm terrified of this place."

Timmy heard the Chamber of Secrets was open. Or that someone had opened it again. She swore the place was sealed for like ever but apparently not. Either way, the blonde wanted to find the place for herself. She would've brought Brian along but maybe he didn't want to discover it. Walking into the empty bathroom, Timmy examined the sink, trying to find the correct one to open the chamber. Shrugging, she open a faucet and washed her hands. But then she heard a noise and saw a hole in the ground. Stepping back and carefully looking in, the blonde smirked to herself. "Hello, beautiful," she whispered, setting herself on the edge and jumping in.

Giggling to herself as she slid all the way down, Timmy rolled on the ground and groans when she finally stopped. Dusting herself off and taking her wand out, she casted lumos and looked around. Oh, someone else was here already! "Hey you, have you gone far yet?" Timmy called out to the older looking girl.

Colt grinned and he knew she was going to ask this. He chuckled and shook his head to assure her he was serious. "Yeah I am sure about this. I wanted to check it out since my cousins told me about it. Come on it is legendary. Don't you wanna tell your future kids you explored the famous chamber of secrets?" I mean she might want to. "Come on I'll be with you. You can even hold my hand if you get too scared.." he offered to her kindly. He knew he needed to be a little more sensitive with Kate which is not a problem. "If you really get TOO scared we can always go back.." he offered to calm her down slightly.

Sabbath winced as Nells, eyes shut, struggled to cover his eyes with hand, he moved his head around trying to avoid her fingers poking him in the eyes. "Nells, Nells, stop, if the snake doesn’t send me blind, you will” he chuckled and pulled her in close whilst their hands were tangled. "I really don't think bug larvae are going to be much help to us somehow, he replied to her comment about the glow worms. "Don't worry, Nells, you just keep close to me and we'll be OK” he said as he gave her a squeeze and smiled at her.

Then, she was asking him to not get her killed, Sabbath smirked, had she forgotten that she'd been the first to come to the chamber in the first place, Regardless, Sabbath replied, "Don't worry Nells, I'll look after you". He gave her a little squeeze, he had no qualms about protecting her from the bleached bones of some long-dead serpent.

Sabbath could see ahead of them what looked like a giant likeness of a bearded mans face that had been hewn into the stone wall of the chamber. He moved in the direction of it, wanting a closer look, pulling Nells along with him.

Larissa looked around more, she moved her arm closer to some of the walls, she could see some tunnels. This wasn't the Chamber of Secrets? Was it? Could it really be? The seventh year had always thought that the Chamber of Secrets was some sort of myth. Her parents had told her about it when she was younger but she thought it was just a story that parents would tell to scare their children. She never thought that it would be real.

If so then that means someone had opened the Chamber of Secrets before her and she didn't know who or maybe it was a what? The brunette looked around more, as she turned the light from her wand, she noticed that there was a person with her, Rissa jumped. Then the girl spoke. "No." Larissa shook her head. "I...I just got down here." Just try not to stutter you'll look like an even bigger idiot, Larissa thought to herself.

Sabbie was being smug. Noelle could tell. She giggled when he said that she was going to make him blind. "Hey I'm trying to save your life mister." He wouldn't be picking on her if he was hurt by the giant snake.

Then he was giving her a squeeze.
She giggled.

letting go of him, she covered her eyes and let him lead her. She had full confidence that Sabbie would keep them safe. If he didn't.... Noelle knew how to lasso. That's the best she could do... Unless wingardium leviosa worked on the snake.

"So do we even know if the snake is still down here?" Noelle asked with her eyes covered. She felt silly walking around like this. She peeked through her fingers. "Also, I have a brilliant idea on how to get us back up..... After we explore this place. Giant snake or not! "

They were down here anyways.

Sabbath chucked at Nells antics. "Nells, I'm pretty sure the snake is no longer down here, but, just on the off chance I'm wrong, maybe you'd better stick close and hold onto me" he said with a lop-sided grin. He could see her peeking though her fingers as she spoke. "Ok what's your brilliant idea", he replied, he was keen to hear what is was as he took her hand and led her further into the chamber.

They were now standing in front of the same giant stone statue of a mans bearded face that Sabbath had spotted earlier from afar. The statue towered above them and was carved into the stone wall. "I think this must be Salazar Slytherin" he said, as he tipped his head back to look at the vast stone carving.
