Default Staff Table

Click me! for a bigger image. Want to know more? Check out Hogwarts A History!

The Hogwarts staff are already seated when you enter the feast. Their traditional place is at a long table on a raised dais at the back of the Great Hall, with the usual Hogwarts crest hanging behind them and looking particularly nice tonight.

Feel free to come up and give your greetings to the School staff after the Headmaster has given his traditional speech. Remember your manners, children. Your professors like to have a quiet dinner too.

And once she had a spare five seconds, she pulled out a bag from her robes. She had hand crafted infividual boxes filled with Bertie Botts. She was sure there were some staff members who wouldn't like the Beans, which was fine, but she did. And it was her way of saying thanks. She went up the Staff table placing each personalised box in front of each setting, each with a letter of thanks inside, addressed to each staff member.
Oh, Beatrice was here too! Cosgrach didn't know why SHE was leaving. Had the students been so terrible that they drove her away after only a year? He needed to ask... because honestly, that was rather sad and WERE THOSE GIFTS?

...he had to see what they were. Ugh.

She hadn't really seen the woman since their wedding, but it was still nice to say hello. "Thank you again for your help with that potion, it helped me very much." At the mention of his family, he nodded. "I am. It'll be weird to be home more now." But he wouldn't be an "absent" father. He didn't think he had really been, but now he'd also be able to fight the monsters under the bed every night and tell his daughters horror stories fairy tales as the storm raged outside. It was all he wanted, honestly.

"I will. Maybe we should hang out in the summer, you, Leo and us. I'm sure you'll be busy with baby things, but if you do have time." Hmm? Vic would love that. HE would love that. He'd miss that man and Cassie's cheerfulness.

"Oh, don't mention it." Yeah? He smiled at her.

His smile went to Cassie as she invited him into their little circle, and a nod went to the potions master. "The more the merrier." Well, perhaps not in this case. Still, the man got a clap on the shoulder and an affable nod. No hard feelings about whatever unspoken thing it was that might have caused hard feelings, right?
Cosgrach... realised he didn't know why Sabel was leaving too, but unlike Sabel, he just assumed the man missed the... fast way of living of aurors or something. Whatever. While Cosgrach was very curious by nature, he didn't want to look nosy, so he'd ask SOPHIE. HEHE.

He nodded back. "Indeed." Heh, maybe not the more the merrier this time, really, but at least they weren't crying like some of the students would. He smiled at the clap. No hard feelings, no. That unspoken thing was already forgotten.

Actually...

"Gonna go back to Ministry?" he asked. Never late for questions and... errr... they might maybe grab a butterbeer or something later. MAYBE.

Oh, another gift!?

Cosgrach BEAMED at the man. He LOVED gifts!

As if he could ever forget the man, but it was still such a nice gesture. "Thank you, Aİrey," he said and saluted back, and opened the box eagerly. ...OOOOOOOOH!

"HAHAHAA!" Airey was so FUNNY! HAHAH. He raised the cup towards the man and griiiiinned. Merlin. One of the best gifts he'd ever received.

He'd converse with Cossy when he had taken his seat at the table for now though he just waved to his friend.
Cosgrach would miss Leo the most too, the wise man who was always so easy to talk to. Therefore, as he took a moment away from the conversation he was having with Sabel, he raised his hand as a salute as well. He'd soon be there as Abraham would give his speech. Speaking of... was he ill? However, Cassie was already at it, and Cece was already there, so he wouldn't worry... for now.

"Hello, Justin." He smiled. And with that... he turned around to sit to look at the Hall.

"Can't wait, to be honest!" The brunette smiled big and nodded her head enthusiastically. "Missing the family like crazy!" And they were obviously lost without her so having her back would be a TREAT. "And you're starting a new chapter of your life, yes?" Leaving Hogwarts was sad but it meant new experiences and that was exciting in itself. "Can I ask what you'll be getting up to?"

"Hello there, Sabel!" He was looking fine as usual. Handsome man, honestly. "I wanted to thank you for giving me the chance to relive my dueling days. It was a blast." And she'd been AWESOME. Not surprising, of course. Skill like that didn't fade with age.

No, no tears. Moxley gave York a kind smile and a big wave. A little cheer would do her some good, yeah? "And a good evening to you, as well!" Even better when the food arrived. "I'm doing great. Get to see my family soon, so no complaints. And what about you? How are you doing?" She figured it was mixed emotions all around and that was understandable. Oh, also, "The Bertie Botts are great, by the way!"

"Doing a bit of traveling in the states with the husband and daughter," Moxley said excitedly. "I've written down all the hot spots for antiques, much to the horror of Callum, but he can't say no to this face." She showcased her puppy eyes for show. "What about you?"

What? Botros smiled at the Groundskeeper. "Hello," he was quite alright thank you very much everyone. It wasn't that he lost his mind or anything, he was just tired... yes, he'd be alright once he was with his wif-- children and their children. Mhmmm.

She looked at him with even more concern and couldn't help but reach up to his forehead to make sure he wasn't fevering at all. She had heard fevers made you confused at time. No, it didn't seem that was the case. Placing a gentle hand on his she gave him a weak smile, "Annie is most likely at home enjoying herself since she retired last term, remember? Ab I think you might be hungry. Why don't you take some water and then do your speech for the school. They are waiting on their headmaster you to tell them their end of the term words of wisdom. Then the elves will bring our food. I think food will help you right now." She could only hope that it was food that was the issue. Maybe she should see the elves about getting him a snack before the feast started.
He realized the mistake he made the minute Cassie touched his hand and looked at him in sympathy. He nodded vigorously along to her explanation. "Yes, yes, definitely hungry. I'll... I'll do the speech now," he agreed and looked out at the four tables crowded with students.

Ahem.

There we go. He stood up and touched a spoon to his goblet releasing a loud clink clink clink. "Good evening everyone!" He called out enthusiastically, "I hope everyone's had a great year this term. Things have been at a steady pace thanks to the efforts of our professors and staff, let's give them a round of applause for everything they do to keep the student at its best." He waited for the said round of applause, and took a peek at his notes. "As you all know, we had different camps on our grounds this year. Students competed, some have won and others were not so lucky. Tonight we'd like to reward those who have had the best school spirit by participating fairly and brilliantly in those, uhhh," frown. "--camps." He cleared his throat and read out from his parchment. "First place is Ms. Hady Lynch, next comes our Head Boy Mr. Zander Adair, joined by Prefect Dot Wojack and Mr. Benjamin Atreyu next. Mr. David Truebridge is the fifth of top students this year, congratulations to everyone." He joined everyone in clapping for them before a moment of silence heavily fell on everyone...

.. including Botros...

.... uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... "And so... there is..." he stammered, looking down at Cassie and wiping his forehead. "Yeah! There is a reward for all five, a tour of the Quidditch stadium at a match this coming season of their chosen team." Yes! Botros beamed at his students, a little relaxed he remembered that bit. "Mr. Zander Adair and Benjamin Atreyu will be offered an internship at the ministry this summer, too. It hasn't been established yet, so everyone should wait for uhm-- the uhhh---" What the heck?? He rubbed his eyes a couple times before a small sigh. "We contact them." There. All better. "We're all tired, I guess, so hang in there for tomorrow's ride home and bon appetit." Aaaand the feast has officially started.

Pivoting on his heel towards Leobald, Airey puffed out his chest READY to bestow the wisdom of Star Trek to his colleague. Was everyone listening? This was fascinating information and a welcomed distraction from all those wet looking eyes around the dais. "Precisely," he nodded. "Admirals commanded fleets of ships, as opposed to captains commanding single ships or units. In Starfleet there are actually several ranks of admirals but all of them were simply referred to as admiral." Thank Merlin for that because some of the titles were quite the mouthful. Read admiral lower half? Yeah. Admiral would do just stellar. And it had been stellar playing the part.

And...Airey had totally missed what it was Justin was talking about. Room to join? He hadn't yet turned his head towards the groundskeeper, but if it was about any sort of physical contact....he could ask Miss Brown his stance on that.

And then it looked as though the Headmaster was going to give his speech, so the astronomer ought to scurry on back to his seat for that. Passing by Astrid as he did, he gave her a small salute and then settled into his seat and JUST managed to return all sorts of hand signals (that meant nothing to him but he had copied learned them from watching muggle baseball) to Meri-berry before Old Man River began his speech.

Oh, and two VERY enthusiastic thumbs up towards you, Cosgrach - once Pebbles had been placed on the vacant chair beside him. Pity the centaur wasn't here to join them...but just as well. The man would have been on edge about Thereos shedding and he did not suppose the centaur would have appreciated having a lint roller run up and down his flank.

BUT SPEECH! AND SPEECH MEANT GOOD EATS! It also meant....alright, truth be told the man only really half paid attention to most speeches despite his best intentions. Usually his stomach was having a loud conversation with him and being a very ill timed distraction, but even with all that Airey could tell something was astray. His blue eyes fell on those sitting beside the old man, looking for some sort of indication of things - Cassiopeia? She had been the one conversing with him most - but in true Flamsteed fashion he became distracted when a duo of his lions was announced. Naturally, the man had to stand up and offer them - all five students really - a bit of a standing ovation. He also took a moment to point, literally, specifically towards Mr. Adair with an additional wink. He would be down there at the table soon to congratulate both him and Mr. Atreyu on their achievement. Among other things.

Sweet solstice, was that some mild heart string pulls? Nah, but be hunger. Get it in control, Flamsteed.

The Astronomy professor offered the Headmaster a few fleeting looks of concern. Tired? Was that all? He gave his uniform a bit of an adjustment, making sure all badges and lines were as they should be as a temporary distraction from just STARING at the elderly chap before deciding that he really should get heading down to the Gryffindor table.

But first...Cassiopeia was.........OH SWEET SOLSTICE HE HAD JUST ADJUSTED EVERYTHING! Body rigid and eyes practically popping out of his head at the physical contact, Airey stood there as though the gesture had been a Full Body-Binding curse in disguise. He did manage to mumble some sort of 'you're welcome', but whether or not the Divination professor could hear it was another story. No pinkish hue to his ears or cheeks here...just mortified fear that some of her lonely people glitter (also know as feline fur and a little expression he had found during his novelty mug hunt) might be getting on his previous admiral attire.

"SWEET SOLSTICE MOTHER OF ORION! CONTAIN THAT BEAST!"

Did Orion even have a mother? You know, the man could not remember for the life of him any of the constellation's mythology given there was a killing machine on the loose.

Toppling over backwards and landing on his bum, Pebbles tumbled out of his hands and bounced down the steps of the dais towards the students' tables. Full panic now - BECAUSE HE WAS NOT GOING TO LOSE HER AGAIN! - he flailed his arms as a kind-of-sort-of wave to everyone at the staff table as he crawled down the steps to retrieve Pebbles and run away make his way to the Gryffindor table.

He would return later to give Astrid her mug.

Maybe.

If that THING was back in it's confinement cell.

A Poop * k8 *

Oh dear, Beatrice was properly crying! Paul put on his big boy pants and patted her shoulder lightly. “Aww..it’s okay, m’dear--we’ll have plenty of opportunities to catch up this summer over coffee or tea, all right?” He smiled and let go of her. “I PROMISE.”

Cassie Morgan would truly be missed...by him and everyone, probably. “I look forward to visiting yes…” he smirked a little and nudged her. “Ah yes--I usually play with my band a lot over the summers. Maybe you and Leo can come by and see us play at some point! I’m play a meaaaaaan banjo solo!” he chuckled a little. Merlin, he’d miss her. And he'd have to ask leo WHAT THE HECK WAS THE HOLD UP IN MAKING HER CASSIE KITERIDGE?

He nodded at Sabel and turned to Justin while also shooting Leo a bit of a wave. “I am sad but ...ready for a break, I must say. I miss my home, my dogs, and MIlton.” he sighed a little. “But...I’ll be bringing my dog for NEXT term…” he grinned. “Maybe I’ll come visit your hut with him--he’s a VERY sweet specimen, likes licking and snuggling, I tell you!” Yes yes. All was well in that department.

Ahh...Cosgrach. Another colleague leaving. Paul slipped out of his seat once more to give him a flower, smiling as he approached. “Hopefully I’ll see you around, my friend. You were an excellent potioneer and I hope one day to be as good as you.” Paul was very good at potions, but not nearly as good at Cosgrach! No no! So he gave the man a flower and then headed right for another colleague…

Astrid.

He smiled as he approached. “Here you go, m’dear, you gentle soul. May your life be joyful and blessed thus far.” He nodded and placed the flower in front of her plate.

THE SPEEEEECH!

Paul RAN back to his seat, next to Justin, and listened VERY carefully...merlin, was the headmaster okay? Ab? BOTROS? Paul was very concerned about his fellow. Did the man have a fever? Did he need soup? He furrowed his eyebrows in concern for a second before seeing the rock Airey called Pebbles tumble out onto the floor. He hoped Pebbles was okay.

….Was that a cat?

Ah, never a dull moment at a Hogwarts feast. She strained her memory to see if she could remember any that didn't include Airey making a ruckus of some sort, but she came up empty. Tiara really had never understood his obsession with that rock - sorry, pet. And since the spot next to him was empty, his frequent wanderings around the room left her quite to herself with just her thoughts.

This feast was actually quite a somber occasion compared to others because she knew there were so many of her colleagues that she may never see again. Speaking of colleagues, she was really enjoying this gift from Beatrice. "Beatrice, dear, thank you for the sweets," she called down the table. The note would be saved for later.

Her gaze already directed that way, Tiara noticed that Cassie and Abraham were in discussion. The Arithmancy Professor was getting very concerned about Abraham. He was always looking tired, no matter what time of day she saw him. She wondered if perhaps.. no, surely not.

Default Mostly Culloden & Dakest. Capslock for enthusiasm, she's not yelling anymore. XD
be curious, not judgmental

As she RACED up toward the staff from the Ravenclaw table after her huge explosion of elation and triumph, Sophie quickly realized that she had a BIG GIANT PROBLEM: CULLODEN was at one end of the table and DAKEST was at the other while FLAMMY WAS NOWHERE IN SIGHT. And while she COULD HAVE shouted across the WHOLE staff and announced it to ALL of them, instead, in a quick moment of thinking, Soph had whipped her wand out and banished the letter from Ollivanders with remarkable aim over toward Dakest for him to read while she made a beeline for Culloden so they would BOTH get the good news at the SAME TIME.

"I DID IT I DID IT IRA BANNER WANTS ME HE'S GONNA MAKE ME HIS APPRENTICE I'M GONNA WORK AT OLLIVANDERS I'M GONNA BE A WANDMAKER!!!!!"

THIS WAS THE BEST DAY OF HER WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE.

Default Put Paul up the top!
Sassenach | RAVENPUFF | Sing me a song of a lass that is gone | bookDRAGON | #awkwardturtle<#

Beatrice appreciated Paul's... little pat. Not quite a Sabel hug but... it would do. She held her breath for a few moments, then cleared her throat, and with it, the tears. No, she shouldn't be crying. This was ridiculous! A small smile spread across her face, "Thank you Paul, I'd... I'd really like that." And then a small giggle. "Good! I'll hold you to your word."

A... a parting gift? Beatrice accepted Airey's lovely gift and unwrapped it. She secretly hoped it wasn't an entire packet of Dirty Sock flavoured Bertie Bott's Beans. But, thankfully, it wasn't. It was a BEAN mug! Her face cracked into a giant smile. There was a lot of hot chocolate to be consumed from this mug. "Thank you Airey! It's so lovely." And then she went in and gave him a hug. She half expected the Astronomer to throw her across the room for daring to crease his suit, but unfortunately she was a hugger.

Leo's words were so kind. Biting back the tears, she felt her face brighten into a smile instead. "Your words are very kind. Thank you." She doubted she would be leaving here feeling like she hadn't done a good job. The positivity was enough to shatter that thought. She nodded along to what Leo was saying. She understood the feeling of missing work towards the end of summer. "Well I shall have to pop in to see Cassie at the shop. I might bump into you there." It would be nice, anyway. "I'm visiting China with my sister and her children which I'm really looking forward to. I haven't been there yet." And she did love a good vacation. "You're welcome," she said, with a big grin. "Oh you have? I wish I'd known that sooner! They are my favourite treat." Yes, she had better say treat. Explaining to people why she thought that Bertie Bott's Beans should have been a food group of their own was often a tedious debate.

Cassie had been there five years. Wow. Beatrice was this sad after one year, she couldn't imagine what she would have been like after five years. The year and all of the events had just been so much fun, she was working with amazing colleagues, and the students were all delightful. She hadn't realised leaving would be so hard. "Yes I'm very excited, I haven't been there yet. One more place to tick off." From her map that was pinned in her loungeroom, back at her house. "I couldn't ever step away from teaching, I don't think." It was her passion in life. "Oh you were? What sort of shop is it? Related to Divination?" That would be most interesting. Beatrice smiled at Cassie, "That would be lovely! Where is the shop located?" Not that location was a problem.

"Hello Justin, how are you?" Beatrice said in reply. "It went very well, thank you. Many many precious memories. How about yourself?"

Ahh, there was Astrid. Fellow new Professor, with Paul. "Astrid! Hello. It certainly.. is a nice evening." At least weather wise. She was bound to have a headache once the night was out. Perhaps Cosgrach could help her brew a potion for that. Otherwise Cece might have something. "And how are you?"

Beatrice was more relieved to see Meredith's cheeriness than she could have possibly said to the woman. Eyes now dry, thank you, and smile broad on her face, she was feeling much better. Happier. "That sounds lovely! I'm okay... thank you." Small nod. "I'm looking forward to going to China with my sister and her children during the holidays, and then returning to tutoring pre-Hogwarts children." Yep. Ahh and another one who liked the Beans. A big grin, "I'm glad you like them!"

Tiara joined, and seemed to like her gift, which always made the Puffer woman happy. With a smile she said "It was my pleasure!" And then, because perhaps with the business of tomorrow, she added "It was very lovely having met you, Tiara. Very lovely, indeed. And... thanks for the flying lesson."

Ahh and then her dear boss got up and gave his speech. Beatrice listened with a slight frown of concern as she listened to dear Ab's speech. He must be feeling a bit under the weather. Perhaps she could take him a nice mug of hot chocolate once the feast was over. It might help him sleep a bit. It always helped her. She clapped for the students who had made top point earners in the activities throughout the year, cheering on those who would get internships. How exciting for them!

She was about to settle into her chair for dinner when, MERLIN, what a commotion. Wide eyed Beatrice turned to look at Airey who, not only had bellowed out... something Beatrice couldn't understand, he went toppling backwards, lost that rock of his, sweet Merlin, and went running off to his Gryffindor table. Riiiiiiiiightyooooo then. She couldn't ever say the feasts weren't entertaining.

Awh, and there was dear Sophie who looked as excited as anyone could be. Not meaning to eavesdrop, she overheard the excited Ravenclaw speaking of becoming an apprentice Wandmaker. "Congratulations Sophie!" she said happily to the graduating Head Girl.

Ah, Moxley was one of the people he'd miss the most. At least he got to work with her.

"Certainly!" he said, "Vic and the girls would love that." And he wouldn't feel like he was completely forgetting these amazing people... Merlin, maybe Vic was right. Maybe he shouldn't have quit. Ugh.

So he gave the man a flower and then headed right for another colleague…
Cosgrach looked up at Paul and smiled back at the man. Had he brought a flower? How thoughtful! His smile got wider.

"Oh, you will!" he said, "we should keep in touch. And, heh, did you know? My second favourite class was herbology." So, in a way, they were sort of... opposites of each other. Paul wanted to be better at potions, and Cosgrach wanted to be better at herbology. And they only learnt it on the last day...

No, not the last day! They would still keep in touch!

. . .

Speeeeeeech. Only then did he notice his groaning stomach, so he turned slightly to his right to listen to Botros, who... didn't look so... well. At all. Why wasn't Cece doing ANYTHING? Didn't she see something - or rather, a few things - was amiss? He frowned as his eyes fell on the woman, then back at the Headmaster again. Good thing he had Cassie with him, who would take care of him.

He was sad that none of the Hufflepuffs could make it to the top 5, but he was in fact just glad they had passed the 1500 points treshold. Since when had the Badgers become so... eh, whatever. His job was over. It would be Moxley and whoever else's job now.

Well, the speech was finished even though the Headmaster didn't look like he could do it, and now it was food time! He saw Airey's thumbs up and grinned. He had forgotten about the centaur - Thereos - for the time being, though. All he wanted was food.

Except, Cassie's cat+Airey happened just as he was getting a piece of steak (that wasn't as good as Sophie's, alas). What if... now that she wouldn't have a kitchen ready 24/7, what if she wouldn't cook? Well, he would dwell on that, but Airey had drawn all his attention and he couldn't help but LAUGH. No, actually, he never wanted to help. He LAUGHED, even though it probably was mean to laugh at the man's fear. HEHEHEHE, WELL DONE, CASSIE. The school lived for these moments, probably!

...

He was on his third bite from the steak, when...

~ Rise and Rise Again, Until Lambs become Lions ~

What surprised him the most, was a lack of reaction from Justin. Seriously, he just could not figure this man out. Still, he was glad they'd gotten past the stranger-danger aspect of things. The bloke was a decent fellow, if not a bit weirdly wired. He clapped his, dare-he-say-friend, on the shoulder, giving him a nod. "Of course."

Then there was Cassie. Sabel's smiled brightened considerably at her words. "Leave it up to you to find the silver lining in everything, and everyone. Hogwarts is truly loosing a gem."

As for updates on his health and his life in general, that worked a kink into his smile. She was good at reading between the lines too, wasn't she? Well at least there was Leo to distract. The man's request took his attention, and earned a nod.

"I'll owl you my address when I'm...." When he was what? Back? No one knew, and he wasn't about to make it common knowledge either. Not with Cassie giving him worried eyes like that. "When I've got a few things sorted."

Because that wasn't suspicious at all.

Thank goodness there were other distractions and people to talk to, like....Cosgrach's awkward question. Sabel shifted on the spot for a moment, considering the man before looking away out over the students. He was bursting to tell someone, but he knew the risks. "Afraid not. Other duties call."

A small smile for the potions master. "Might shoot you an owl when I get back." Because while he didn't trust potions in general, he might be able to make an exception. Cosgrach seemed like a relatively reliable man.

Sabel's attention was then drawn to Airey, and he couldn't help but laugh. "I have to agree with you there Admiral. But repairs are underway."

And on that cue, Beatrice was indeed accepting his offer of the hug. It was a relief, that the offer was accepted. If only for the fact that it kept some of the tears at bay and made things seem not so bad. Because really, things weren't that bad? Just a lot of moving on and moving around.

Still, the young woman got a big ol' bear hug from him, complete with a brief back rub. And her words got a smile from him. [b]"Thank you." For the words and the beans. Pulling back, he grinned at her. "I'm going to interpret that as there's a return policy for the bad flavored ones."

He'd post mail them if he had to. Or better yet, maybe give them to Damien. Or, trade them with Airey. Which the man seemed to be down for. With a grin, and no further ado, Sabel peeked inside Airey's box and began swapping the green and the yellows. Wasn't that he didn't appreciate the gift at all, just that his experience with the color had been less than pleasant. "No promises. My aim's a bit shoddy."

Despite being an Auror, but Auror's weren't often in the habit of spitting or spewing things at people and when they did, it was often in the same direction as said person. But then, Airey was giving him something, and Sabel just sort of blinked at the package in surprise. Admittedly, he was a little worried as to his contents, but not wanting to offend or look worried, he opened it. The mug inside, brought up a welt of mixed emotions.

Emotions that he had worked the past few days to keep down. All of a sudden, because of some damn mug that was probably one of the most thoughtful gifts he'd recieved in a long time, they were threatening to show. Sabel swallowed, hard, and struggled to keep the neutral expression in place. Regret, sadness, and most of all fear. All over some mug. It was ridiculous.

The words glared at him, and he carefully set the ceramic dishware back in the box. Clearing his throat, Sabel nodded, able to settle some of his features after a deep breath and held out his hand towards Airey for a shake. "You're one of a kind, Flamsteed. Hopefully our paths will cross again."

Thankfully, there was a Moxley to distract him from going down the line of thoughts that mug brought up. Putting his smile back in place, Sabel turned and gave the woman a quick hug. "I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. Your skills are impressive."

And on that note, it seemed it was time for the speech. A nod was given to Astrid as she joined the table at her spot, before his attention was turned to Botros. The man seemed, well, the speech was a little....that was to say....

Sabel was frowning. Long day? Long year? Nerves? Exhaustion? Stress? It could have been anything that made the Headmaster stumble over the words of the speech. Whatever the case was, Cece was right at hand and Cassie was watching over him from the other side. The man had enough sense to tell one of them if something was seriously wrong, so for now it was nodding and tame clapping on cue, in congratulations to the students. He was going to have to bug a few of them about it too.

When the food appeared, and the feast started proper, Sabel's attention went to the rest of the students. Before being promptly startled by the shriek that was Flamsteed. It nearly set him on his feet from his chair, and the man got a bewildered look as he made his retreat from the main table. Some things....never changed.

And before he could contemplate that thought any further, there was a letter RIGHT IN HIS FACE! Sabel blinked at it for a moment, before plucking it out of the air, his ears turning towards the elated sound of a Brown. Flipping the letter open, he scanned the contents. Was he proud? Yes. Undoubtedly. He just had a much more reserved way of showing it.

Though, internally he debated jumping right over the table and going to give her a hug. If he was a decade younger, he definitely would have. For now, it was abandoning his seat and empty plate, folding up the letter and moving over to Brown. He stopped at her side, holding the letter out to her. That proud smile was in place, as he caught her gaze. "Congratulations Ms. Brown. You have more than earned it."

And, because there was no reason not to, Sabel reached out and gave the young woman a hug around the shoulders.

Sleep deprivation Leo supposed could explain Ab's pale face. Smiling widely at his senior friend he said "If you say so. I know shuffling paperwork can get super tiring." Merlin knew that he himself was up to his ears in paperwork now and then but probably not to Abraham's level. "You could consider asking Cosgrach for a sleep potion." Leo suggested. "I found an old norse rune text the other day that I think you might like. You could come by the library and pick it up tomorrow." He had a feeling that there was more going on but he wasn't going to push his friend, not tonight.

SPOILER!!: Cassie

Yes, food, well they would have to wait a bit for food. Again he was worried about her and she looked back up at him. "Yes eating will be nice, but I'm find for now. I we have so much going on with the staff and students are now coming in." The giggling and snapping came to his next comment as she pictured Madonna with books on her back, aww her poor step fur baby, she wouldn't let that happen. "I'll be fine helping you. I am finished packing." She had been working on it over some time knowing it would take her awhile. [/color]

"You're welcome lovely." Leo mumbled in reply as he studied Cassie in her seat next to Sabel. "I shall go find my seat. If you need my help you can send Sabel to fetch me." He knew that Cassie was stronger than she looked but this was going to be a feast full of emotions for her. It was inevitable. It was another time when Leo cursed the seating arrangement on the staff dais.

There was no use arguing over packing, smiling Leo said in answer to Cassie's decision. "All right, I'm sure Madonna will be pleased to not have to cart book boxes. We can do it after breakfast and seeing the kids off at the station." There wasn't much left to do really, just move some boxes to the storage room and make sure the Restricted Section was secure and that no book on dragons would ignite a fire.

SPOILER!!: Sabel

Nodding to Sabel he said "I'll wait for your address then." It seemed easier than owling and not knowing where he'd be living. "When you get settled you should come by Cassie's shop and we'll talk." Catch up! Sabel was an interesting yet complicated man which Leo wouldn't mind befriending closer.

SPOILER!!: Justin

Beaming broadly Leo said "Congratulations Justin! I'm glad you're staying for another year and breaking the groundskeeper positions curse. The grounds seem to be thriving under your care." He'd have to contact Justin over the summer about a book project he was thinking about. Justin seemed liked the right guy to ask for an opinion. Nodding he said "Yes, everything's holding up nicely, I'll just have double check all the enchantments one last time before i leave tomorrow. I don't want a dragon book to accidentally ignite a fire." One of Leo's worst nightmares.

She was looking forward to it all.

"Good evening Astrid.." Leo greeted to the brunette Charm's professor as she joined them on the staff dais before she slipped into her seat near Airey and Cassie. "Have you got any exciting summer plans?"

Speaking of... was he ill? However, Cassie was already at it, and Cece was already there, so he wouldn't worry... for now.

When Cossy came over to claim his seat Leo greeted his friend which he was going to miss greatly. "Good evening Cossy! The castle will not be the same without your presence in September. I will really miss you." It was the genuine truth. He had feeling that the students would be missing Cossy too. "Have you got any summer plans? Spending time with Olivia I imagine?"

You couldn't not smile when you sat next to and chatted with Meredith. Smiling broadly Leo said "That sounds like good fun. Maybe you can have an eye out for some antique books or reading lamps for me?" If she was antiquing after all. "It's not decided as of right now, but I wouldn't mind a terrortour trip to somewhere exotic like Hawaii or somewhere with Cassie. And then I'll of course devote time to my extended family and friends. Letters aren't the same as talking to someone face to face, you know?"

SPOILER!!: Airey

"Admirals commanded fleets of ships, as opposed to captains commanding single ships or units. In Starfleet there are actually several ranks of admirals but all of them were simply referred to as admiral." Thank Merlin for that because some of the titles were quite the mouthful. Read admiral lower half? Yeah. Admiral would do just stellar. And it had been stellar playing the part.

Stupid. Stupid. Why had he had to ask Airey about Star Trek admirals? Leo was just going to write it off as not thinking clearly. As his colleague gave him the outline he just got more confused then to begin with. He wasn't going to say that though. He wasn't going to upset Airey's feelings. Instead he nodded as if understanding. "Cool, maybe i'll try and see a Star Trek movie over the summer. Have you got any summer plans?" He'd have to send a letter to Medea. They hadn't wrote in a while.

SPOILER!!: Beatrice

She understood the feeling of missing work towards the end of summer. "Well I shall have to pop in to see Cassie at the shop. I might bump into you there." It would be nice, anyway. "I'm visiting China with my sister and her children which I'm really looking forward to. I haven't been there yet." And she did love a good vacation. "You're welcome," she said, with a big grin. "Oh you have? I wish I'd known that sooner! They are my favourite treat." Yes, she had better say treat. Explaining to people why she thought that Bertie Bott's Beans should have been a food group of their own was often a tedious debate.

Was Beatrice crying? No she was smiling. Good. This was a feast of emotions but Leo hoped for few tears. "You're welcome." He answered feeling his stomach rumble. Food soon right? Attention back on Beatrice and what she was saying Leo nodded. "Of course. I'll be around the shop. I didn't know you had an interest in Divination?" Or maybe just an excuse to visit Cassie and deepen their friendship?

"China?" Leo repeated. "I've never been there. I hope you'll get a wonderful vacation." Maybe she'd show them pictures when she visited the shop during summer. "I just like that you with Bertie botts never can know what flavour you'll get."

SPOILER!!: Botros speech

He waited for the said round of applause, and took a peek at his notes.

Drinking some pumpkin juice Leo listened attentively as his friend and headmaster stood up to deliver his speech. When it was delivered and the food had arrived on the table Leo wondered if Ab really was just tired? It was not the time to ask though so he buised himself with the food.

And since the spot next to him was empty, his frequent wanderings around the room left her quite to herself with just her thoughts.

Leo wasn't certain when Tiara had slipped into her seat next to Airey on the other end of the table but she was there. He waved and nodded to her as if to say 'Good evening'. It was no use calling across the table. They'd exchange letters over the summer as always about Ravenclaw things.

SPOILER!!: Sophie

Though she was largely seeking approval from Culloden and Dakest - and Flammy would come later - she smiled even BIGGER at the congratulations being thrown her way by York and Kitridge. "Thanks!"

Even though she didn't need their approval the way she was so desperately seeking the approval of the other two professors, it was nice all the same to hear their kind words.

Well. Cosgrach hadn't expected Sabel to pour his heart to him anyway, so it was quite understandable that he didn't answer. Get back, though, that sounded... mysterious. Though, Cosgrach didn't dwell on it much. If Sabel didn't want to share, he didn't want to share.

"Bon voyage," he said with a smile, and as Botros was beginning his speech, added a quick (and genuine) "let's keep in touch," before he turned around to sit on his chair.

"Good evening, Leo!" he greeted his best buddy back, and sighed at his words. It was true, the castle wouldn't be the same. HEHE, no, big headedness aside, he said "I'll miss you too. But at least I'll still teach. Just, will be in the university." Though, Leo already knew that.

"Ugh, not this summer, I'm afraid. I'll probably be busy with emptying this office and moving in the university's. What about you?" He expected them to be busy with baby things, though!!! Did Leo need any advice? HEHEHE.

SOPHIE BROWN: 1, INSECURITIES: 0.

Her eyes welling with fresh tears as he met her for a hug, Sophie squeeeeeezed his torso in the biggest bear hug she could manage and sniffled. "Thanks." It was just one word, but there was a lot of weight to it - she was thanking him not just for his congratulations or the hug, but for everything he'd done for her. For inspiring her, for encouraging her to follow her dreams, for letting her know that it was okay to follow more than just ONE dream, and for being her mentor for the last six years.

AND THEN THERE WAS SABEL.

The moment her OTHER needed presence joined them, Soph pulled away from Culloden, wiped her eyes, and looked expectantly up at the man standing before her--

And there it was. The proud smile she had so desired, and it was soon accompanied by a hug, which Soph reciprocated eagerly, her tears still freely flowing, and made this into yet another big ol' professor bear hug as she sniffled out another, "Thanks."

SOPHIE BROWN: 2, INSECURITIES: 0.

...But then in the next moment, Sophie Brown, in all her fearless ways, was abruptly tugging Culloden in so it was ONE BIG HAPPY PROFESSOR-SOPHIE BROWN GROUP HUG.

Potioneer-hating Auror, meet Auror-hating Potioneer. They were best friends now, did they see it? WERE THE FRIENDSHIP SPARKS FLYING? SHE LOOKED UP AT THEM WITH A BIG, GOOFY GRIN TO SEE IF THEY'D JUST FALLEN INTO FRIENDSHIP LOVE AFTER ALL THIS TIME.

...OF COURSE LEO AND BEATRICE WERE HAPPY FOR HER. EVERYONE MUST BE. SHE HAD DONE IT SHE HAD MADE HER DREAMS COME TRUE!

:')

He felt and understood that heavy 'Thanks.' It was gratitude for the 6 years they had spent together and for his belief in her - but honestly, she had to thank herself. She had made it come true. She had only needed a tiiiiny bit of encouragement, and he'd done that. No more.

His feeling of pride was probably bigger than when HE was accepted in the university.

He was lost in memories as Sabel and Sophie hugged, memories of his own past, when he was returned to earth by Sophie's tugging. What - what did she - oh. Right. Her goofy grin told all: she wanted to be completely cheesy and group hug or something. Merlin. This girl. He chuckled, shook his head briefly and joined the group hug or whatever. They were all leaving, so why not put aside past misunderstandings and humour one girl whose biggest dream had just come true?

Right, Sabel?

...he had to see what they were. Ugh.

But, they HAD managed it, hadn't they!?

Cosgrach, upon catching her gaze, grinned and thumbs-upped the woman. They had been a good duo. Sigh.

At the mention of his family, he nodded.

Cosgrach... realised he didn't know why Sabel was leaving too, but unlike Sabel, he just assumed the man missed the... fast way of living of aurors or something.

She smiled hearing his words about his family, "It won't be weird I bet they will love having their daddy home all the time." She thought about how hard it had been with being at the castle and only going home for visits. She wasn't sure how they all did it. Thinking of her own situation she knew she was making the right decisions.

"Oh" She smiled and blushed a bit glancing down, "Never too busy to have dinner with friends. We might need your expertise and advise through all of this." She would certainly enjoy spending time with him and his family and thought that Leo would as well.

Leaving Hogwarts was sad but it meant new experiences and that was exciting in itself.

Airey got a Moxinator salute in return to his wave, as she was never able to do the vulcan thingy he was always doing without pushing her fingers together to manage it. He got a Moxley grin, too.

"Doing a bit of traveling in the states with the husband and daughter," Moxley said excitedly. "I've written down all the hot spots for antiques, much to the horror of Callum, but he can't say no to this face." She showcased her puppy eyes for show. "What about you?"

Cosgrach got a double thumbs up in return and the biggest smile. She was going to miss him lots but she wasn't going to cry, nope. She'd already decided that. "I was thinking we should get the families together over the holiday some time, if you're up for it! It could be fun!"

She assumed correctly that the woman was missing her family, "I find it very amazing how all of you balance family and being here." She knew it had to be so difficult. "I bet your family can't wait to see you as well." It was going to be a good summer for all.ths ago I was willed her shop, so I'm going to be taking that over. "Yes, I guess that I am. Change is always a scary thing but I think this change will be good." What was she going to be doing well Cassie had that all planned out. "After my grandmother's passing a few months ago I was willed her shop, so I will be taking over that. If you are ever in need of tea leaves or a reading please come visit." She'd love to see her old coworkers there.

He was just hungry, well that was very encouraging that he was doing alright. She gave him a small smile and watched him stand. Listening to the speech her concern came back, but she tried not show as he looked down at her. She kept a bright smile to keep encouraging him and being their to support, but she did hope he was doing alright.

Once he was done and she clapped for the students that had won and for the end of his speech she leaned over to the headmaster in a very motherly way, "Now let's get some food on that plate." She looked at the table and took her usual greens and pasta. She'd have to make sure to stop and thank the elves for always having her meals close by.

SPOILER!!: Airey

She didn't even notice that he didn't seem comfortable, "Please make sure you give Medea my best and you two both should keep in touch. Maybe Leo and I can have everyone over sometime for a dinner party." Though her words were soon drowned as he started freaking out and Cassie looked around confused as she watched him fall down the stairs.

"Airey, wait, it's alright.." He was already headed towards the student tables as she reached down and picked up her cat and placed him back in her purse. "Goodness all that over a cat." Shaking her head she took her seat.

"I'm so glad you will visit. I'd hate for you not to." She could see Paul being a good friend for many years, "I should introduce you to my best friend Nessa, I think the three of us could have great lunch dates!" A band and playing the banjo. That was a very interesting piece that she wasn't sure she knew, "Of course I'd love to come and I know Leo would too. We will certainly be there." She snapped already excited to go watch her friend play.

SPOILER!!: Beatrice

Traveling wasn't in her cards for now, but she was in love with the things happening in her future, "No, I can see myself giving lessons again like I have in the past. I think once you touch the minds of the young you always want to try to make their world a little more bright." She was very happy for Beatrice and excited for them both, "Yes, my grandmother was a very famous muggle psychic and had a shop for readings and sold tea leaves so I will be taking her place. It's located right in London." Not too far from many of her coworkers which was nice.

SPOILER!!: Sabel

"If you don't look for the positive and the silver linings then life would be so dark. Dark is not the way to live." She loved seeing the bright side of everything! Though his words about his address made her look at him curiously and worry more, "Okay, but please send me something." She was going to worry about him and she couldn't help but give him another quick hug.

SPOILER!!: Leo

"I found an old norse rune text the other day that I think you might like. You could come by the library and pick it up tomorrow." He had a feeling that there was more going on but he wasn't going to push his friend, not tonight.

"Good evening Astrid.." Leo greeted to the brunette Charm's professor as she joined them on the staff dais before she slipped into her seat near Airey and Cassie. "Have you got any exciting summer plans?"

Stupid.

Drinking some pumpkin juice Leo listened attentively as his friend and headmaster stood up to deliver his speech. When it was delivered and the food had arrived on the table Leo wondered if Ab really was just tired? It was not the time to ask though so he buised himself with the food.

Leo wasn't certain when Tiara had slipped into her seat next to Airey on the other end of the table but she was there. He waved and nodded to her as if to say 'Good evening'. It was no use calling across the table. They'd exchange letters over the summer as always about Ravenclaw things.

Leo was about to put a piece of shepards pie into his mouth when the Head Girl arrived on the dias. Pausing, fork raised he gazed down toward the Ravenclaw table. Everything seemed quiet enough there. Sophie was to his relief there to share good news with them all. Beaming broadly at her he said "Congratulations Sophie! What a wonderful opportunity, I'm so happy for you."

Smiling at Leo she couldn't help but feel her heart swell at his concern and love for her. "I will be fine here, Sabel will take good care of me during the feast." He wasn't that far from here and the speech was getting underway so it wouldn't be that long before the end would come.

Soooooo, was now an okay time to bother Professor York?

Reagan, who'd already made all her other rounds, found herself quickly enough at the long staff table; wise eyes peering down upon the congregation from everyone seated around it. If she were anyone else, this might've seemed intimidating, but Reagan was....well, Reagan...and her sheer, undiluted joy outshone whatever minor emotions that could've come to pass. Fear, anxiety, sadness...Yea, none of that from this Ravenclaw.

Tomorrow was a brand new day, you know?! Full of possibilities. She couldn't wait!

Soooo, sidling up to the part of table that beheld Professor York, Rea beamed; her own flower crown still atop of her head. The one within her hands contained a colorful mixture of dahlias, gladiolus buds, and holly; signifying elegance, strength of character, and good wishes. Professor York was also leaving this place, never to return. Well wishes were appropriate, weren't they?

"Professor, I made you a little something. A parting gift, if you will." She hoped that was okay...and that the older woman wasn't allergic. Oh, my. Rea hadn't considered that. "I hope now isn't a terrible time."

Sabel's big bear hug seemed to do the job. She felt much better, almost like he had squeezed all of the silly sadness out of her. "Don't mention it," she said. The beans, well she had a constant supply of those. Kind, TRUE words? Those too. But his next comment made her laugh, a big laugh. "Trading the bad flavoured ones? But that's part of the fun!" You know, eating a terrible one and then trying to find a nice one to rinse one's mouth out.

It was lovely news that Leo would be around the shop. Every now and then, Beatrice enjoyed a good book. But she usually had to ask people to recommend a good one, and who better to ask for a recommendation than Leo? "Oh, well," an interest in Divination? "It's an area I don't know much about but... I enjoy learning about new things. And it would be good to see Cassie around." She was a woman who enjoyed making connections. "AH! That is what I enjoy too!" Here was someone who understood what was so exciting about Bertie Bott's. Those who just wanted the nice flavours? There were muggle jelly beans.

It was lovely to see a student so happy with what their own hard work had achieved. Beatrice returned Sophie's big smile. Bless.

Beatrice was happy to hear that teaching wasn't off the table for Cassie. From what she had seen of the students, the woman had been a fantastic teacher. And what she was saying right now? That just brought a smile to Beatrice's face. "That is just what I think too." Making their world a better place. "London! Fantastic, I have a lot of friends in London so I pop in very often. I really look forward to seeing your shop."

Beatrice was observing the other four house tables, the interactions between students of the same house, and different houses, when she saw Reagan approaching. That was another student Beatrice would have been looking for before the feast had finished. They were both going to be leaving, and Beatrice wanted to give a final word of encouragement to those who had stood out. And... and... there was a flower crown. Beatrice was stunned for a few moments, looking between Reagan and the crown. She was speechless. "I... I... I..." she started to say, then stood up. "Reagan that is absolutely beautiful. It's not terrible timing at all." And the woman reached her arms around Reagan to give her a hug. It was such a... *wibble* such a beautiful and thoughtful gift.

Honestly, Reagan hadn't expected the hug...but it was welcomed and returned eagerly all the same. This was Reagan Penrose the Professor was dealing with; an affectionate kitten, basically. "Aww, Professor...it was no trouble, really. I loved making it for you."

SQUISH!

Those who were kind deserved beautiful things...and Professor York was about the kindest around, in her honest opinion. There was always a kind word to be offered, or words of encouragement, from the woman. Hogwarts was losing a real prize in her departure...just as they were with Professor Culloden, Professor Morgan, and Professor Dakest...even if the dueling business still made her a bit uncomfortable. He was still a lovely man, all the same.

"You'll be missed." SQUISH, SQUISH, SQUISH!

This was almost too much for Beatrice. But today was also a goodbye for Reagan. If Reagan was going to remain dry-eyed, then by golly, so was Beatrice. The hug was lovely. Hugs were always lovely.

"Can I wear it now?" She asked, excited to show it off. Reagan's own flower crown looked well placed upon her head. It completely suited her personality.

After a sharp inhale of breath, Beatrice shook her head slightly. She just couldn't. SHE COULDN'T! "As will you, Reagan. But I certainly hope you will send owls, and keep me up to date. I'd like to hear from you." She would, truly. She always enjoyed hearing from her past students, what they were up to, whether they were working, travelling, studying, or just enjoying life.

Paulina wanted to say goodbye to all the Professors since she was leaving - and in some cases they were too.

First of all she wanted to say goodbye to Professor York. She wasn't even going to look at Professor Myers right now because he had made her CRY earlier with his sweet words. She was still holding the flower that he had given her just before. Flowers made her HAPPY despite the fact that this was a sad occasion.

Reaching the staff table, she spotted Professor York and Reagan. She gave her fellow graduate a warm smile before going out there and giving the Professor a hug. Paulina wasn't a hugger, so this should MEAN something. It was like getting a hug from Sheldon Cooper.

"Thank you so much for everything, Professor York. I really look up to you and want to tell you that I appreciate all you did to help me and that I'm going to work hard on becoming an Animagus even when I'm at university." She turned slightly red because it was hard for her to share her feelings.

And then there was Paulina. This term's top Transfigration student.

And another hug!

Beatrice gave Paulina a big squeezy hug back in return, and was really... trying to focus only on the happy moment with two of her lovely seventh year students.

But the hug wasn't all. Just like the hug from Reagan wasn't all. The words. The words! Beatrice put her hand to her heart as Paulina vocalised very kind words.

Don't cry, don't cry, don't cry, don't cry, don't cry, don't cry...

DO

NOT

CRY!

"It has been my pleasure and privelage to teach and tutor you this year, Paulina. I know you will make a gifted animagi." And she was showing a lovely hue of red. Beatrice smiled, pushing the pesky tears away. Nope, no more tears, not from these eyes. "I want owls from you too. Both of you. And remember I have a classroom in Edinburgh. My door will always be open to both of you." Yes, and she would love visits (and she had a never ending supply of hot chocolate and lollies) from them. BOTH of them. Because Reagan had also been a breath of fresh air, and a delight to teach.

"Oh, yes! Of course, Professor." Hurrying to help the older woman arrange the ring of flowers atop her hair, Reagan took a step back to survey the look. The dark dahlias and colorful gladiolus buds looked quite pretty with her coloring. Reagan felt Dot would be proud of her for being conscious of something so fashion-centric.

"I'll send you all sorts of things: exotic treats and flowers, mostly. I plan to travel to some pretty remote locations; immerse myself in the organic lifestyle..."

SPOILER!!: Paulina!

She'd been just about to say something further when her fellow vegan appeared. Rea and Paulina hadn't had much time to talk since the beginning of term, due to the high volume of classes, studying, homework, and their own personal extracurricular activities...but seeing the girl still caused a smile to appear on Rea's face. As most things did, to be honest...but that hardly counted.

"Hello, Paulina." Ever gentle and kind, the Ravenclaw took a respectful step back as the two hugged and talked. Professor York was a special lady. Of COURSE, others would want some of her time. She certainly couldn't fault them for that...

"Aww, Professor..." Merlin, if that wasn't enough to tug right on her heartstrings. "You aren't getting rid of me, Professor...just so you know. I still need your help."...because the ultimate goal was to become an animagus. It was going to be HARD, and require loads of work, but she was willing to do whatever it took...and that included Professor York; as she was both patient and kind. Reagan responded best to that style and manner of teaching.

Positivity. Kindness. Love.

Oh dear.

Professor York was CRYING.

Paulina would have felt bad for making the woman cry, but she knew it was a mixture of sadness over leaving and happiness over the kind words. It was exactly the same thing that happened to her with Professor Myers.

"I will try my best Professor. Me and Reagan will both come to see you, right?" She gave her fellow Seventh Year another smile. It was a shame that they hadn't gotten to spend more time together, but this term had been pretty crazy. Paulina was glad for the break honestly. "The three of us can have fun together. I'll be going to Edinburgh myself and studying Herbology!" So besides summer she wouldn't need to write letters; she could just stop by the Professor's office.

Speaking of Herbology...

Paulina reached into her bag and pulled out a peace lily. Not only was the name perfect for a person like Professor Myers, but they were also easy to care for (and he must get busy looking after the greenhouses and teaching classes), and they were PRETTY. They were also natural air purifiers which she thought he would like.

If anyone would appreciate getting a PLANT it would be HIM.

"Thank you so much for everything you have done to help me with Herbology. I really look up to you and want to become as good with plants as you are; I hope to discover new species as it's my dream. I'll send you letters when I'm gone if that's okay." Once again she turned red. She really hoped that he would like the plant that she had for him.

Both he and Professor York got something special from her: one got a HUG and the other got a PLANT.

That done, Paulina turned to the other staff members. "I want to thank you all for all the help and kindness. You are all wonderful people and I wish the best of luck to you all in the future. Thank you Professor Moxley for being a great Head of House. I really enjoyed being one of your Badgers for a term. It was wonderful to have you as my Headmaster for a year, Professor Botros." COULD she call him Professor outside of the classroom? Paulina had no idea how it worked, but the man seemed so kind that he surely wouldn't mind?

Having recovered from all the excitement of everything that was happening, at least for the moment, and having given Professor Flamsteed his gift, Benny moved towards the staff table to take care of the rest. Thankfull he had remembered to stash them all in his robe pocket before coming down to the feast else he wouldn't have forgiven himself. First he headed towards the middle of the table where Divination sat to face the woman there.

"Professor Morgan," he said getting her attention. "I wanted to give you this for everything." By this, it was a glass globe that held a preserved flower...pink of course. There was a yellowish one in his other hand kept for the moment. For another professor who wasn't there tonight and he hadn't thought of any gifts last term.

------------------------------------------
Now it was time for the other side of the table and Professors Culloden and York, his attention to the woman first though he waited until Paulina was done. "I wanted to thank you, Professor York for all your help this year. I promise to keep up the work." He was be doing everything in his power to not let her down. The Gryffindor then offered up his gift to her, placing it on the table before her plate. "I figured even though its not my form, it would still remind you of me."

----------------------------------
And then there was Culloden. The man he had thanked, among others, in the 7th year memory book because of his great help through six of his seven years. "And you, Professor Culloden....thank you for making me actually grow to not mind potions." His own gift was presented, a beautiful journal. "Figured a potioner couldn't have too many." He supposed Adi would have plenty of his own along the way.

Students were now coming to the table and Cassie watched as Sophie came up seeming very happy about something. She gave her snaps even if she hadn't been addressing her and watched as she was hugging Sabel and Cossy. Very interesting to see, but she enjoyed how wonderful students and staff worked together. The next two were Reagan and Paulina and she gave them both waves and snaps. She wished them both the best as they left for their own new journeys.

SPOILER!!: Benny

Thankfull he had remembered to stash them all in his robe pocket before coming down to the feast else he wouldn't have forgiven himself. First he headed towards the middle of the table where Divination sat to face the woman there.

"Professor Morgan," he said getting her attention. "I wanted to give you this for everything." By this, it was a glass globe that held a preserved flower...pink of course. There was a yellowish one in his other hand kept for the moment. For another professor who wasn't there tonight and he hadn't thought of any gifts last term.

Soon a student was coming to her and she gave him a smile, "Hello Benny, it seems you have done a great job this term. Congratulations on your internship that you have one. That will be exciting." She couldn't help but wish him all the best. Taken by surprise she looked down as he was giving her something, "Ohmygosh, you didn't have to give me a gift, but thank you." She did adore gifts, but this was just very special. "I hope you do well with whatever you are going to head into and always know I am only an owl away." She wouldn't mind helping her students if they needed.

Botros nodded to Cassie when she urged him to get some food in him. He was well into his meal when he looked up and saw kids-- students get up and start chatting (or yelling) with other professors. Not to mention the young blondish professor who dropped his weird rock... Botros knew their names, of course, pffft.

Right. So. Eating quickly because he was hungry and everyone and everything were driving him a little restless and nervous...

... suddenly, he lifted his half-full plate and retreated to the back room of the Great Hall... it was nicer back there with not this much people whom he couldn't really recognize.
