If you know the password, or where the entrance is from the Secret Passage you can make your way through a portal in the stone wall of the dungeon and walk into the Slytherin common room:
The ceiling is low and the walls are made of stone, and even though they seem dank and cold, the room tends to stay at a very comfortable temperature. There are greenish lamps by black leather couches and chairs, with skulls all around. Scattered around the room are very comfy green bean bag chairs. Once you get in them you just might think you've been attacked by Devil's Snare as you find that the bean bags are almost impossible to get out of. With the common room being located under the lake, you can occasionally see mermaids, grindylows and the giant squid swim by when you look out the windows. A rug covers the floor in front of the fireplace that has a hunter green fire burning in it. The Slytherin emblem is everywhere, as house pride is one of Slytherin's strong qualities. It reminds students of what being a Slytherin means and allows them to share those feelings with others.
This is where Slytherin students are allowed to unwind, study and chat with one another. There is a room straight ahead that students may use as a quiet place to study and ask prefects and high scoring students questions. To the left, a corridor that leads to the Boys Dorms, and to the right a corridor that leads to the Girls Dorms. Beside each corridor is self inking quill and parchment with the words Attendo Thea Vipera on it. This is where you can leave a little information about yourself so your housemates can get to know you better.
On the side of the fireplace is a Notice Board for class and homework announcements, as well as general announcements. The Roster is also there for Students to make sure their name is listed and spelled correctly. Placed around the room there are four different Wizard Chess game boards. Find a partner and see who can keep their pieces from getting smashed by the opposing team.
A podium stands to the side with a copy of Hogwarts a History, which is where you will learn that even though the whole dungeon had once been flooded, nothing was waterlogged or permanently damaged.
Colt wanted to go check out the common room. He heard about it but he wanted to see it for himself. As the prefects led the way after the feast, he stood there open mouthed. Man this was totally cool. It was just like a villain's lair would be like. He tried not to show too much emotion and he saw others were around here. He saw there was a lot of places to sit. He grabbed a bean bag by the fireplace and sat there and just tried to figure out who was in his house. He saw a lot of people from the feast here that is for sure. He wondered where the new people were?
He shrugged it off and realized he could do some serious sketching. He luckily added into his robes and got it out with his pencil and started to sketch while listening to conversations. He wasn't one to talk right now.
Oops. She hadn't meant to embarrass him at all, that's why she had dropped her voice when she spoke just then. Sorry kid. "Totally." She offered him a light smile and a pat on the shoulder. Nothing more needed to be said on this.
Hady laughed quietly. "There's no doubt in my mind you'll do just that in the morning." And there wasn't. There was just something about this kid that she liked. If she had a little brother this is what she wanted.
Little snake was getting the nod down. Nice work. The fourth year smirked watching him check out his hair." "Of course, nothing less then wicked would do for a snake." Hady laughed quietly at her new nickname. "Sounds good to me. Most people though just call me Hady though." Which was her name of course. Big Snake was good though and if it was him calling her that she'd answer.
He smiled at her smile and then beamed at the pat on his shoulder. He was starting to want her approval because she was sooooooo cool! Lucas wondered if she found him annoying... hopefully not but... *insert pouty!face* at that thought.

His cheeks flamed red in embarrassment as he secretly looked around to see who else noticed. "Hady? Well, most people call me Lucas." He smiled and nodded at her, debating whether to call her Big Snake still or just call her Hady... He wondered if she even liked the nickname Big Snake. He tapped his chin, thinking about it.

He smiled at her smile and then beamed at the pat on his shoulder. He was starting to want her approval because she was sooooooo cool! Lucas wondered if she found him annoying... hopefully not but... *insert pouty!face* at that thought.

Awww this kid had the cutest and brightest of smiles! Were all firsties this way or just this way? Hady wasn't entirely sure on that thought since she honestly never really spent all that much time with them. Not that she wouldn't though if one were to come to her or need her help with something. It was just that being a fourth year now she didn't go out and search for them and all that.
"A potions master, huh?" she asked laughing softly at his excitement. Little snake had some high goals set into place for himself already it seemed. No worries though cause she had always been the same way and still pretty much was. "Better make sure to pay extra attention in Professor Culloden's lessons then if that's what you want to do one day." Nothing wrong with steering her newest little buddy in the proper direction.
It was good that Lucas didn't mind being called a snake seeing as he was a Slytherin now and all. Home of the snakes you know. "That's good. Do you like real snakes though?" Cause their house had their own pet snake. Though she'd had preferred to bring her own snake from home but it was still pretty cool. When he attempted to hiss and then began coughing Hady wondered if she should be worried and pat his back of something. But the poor guy looked embarrassed enough already so she let it go as if she hadn't noticed. "Mhmm Hady, it's actually Hadleigh but no one calls me that. Lucas huh? Welp which would you rather me call you, Lucas of Little Snake?" Or perhaps Luke or Luca? Luca was really cute...did he like that nickname?

Trundling down from the dorm room, Daltons slipper clad feet made a soft padding sound on the stairs. He was already pyjama'd, which probably looked odd considering the amount of people who were lingering around fully clothed, but he was way more comfortable, and in his eyes, he won. Eyerolling slightly at the noise, he headed straight towards the fireplace, slipping his book out from under his arm.
"Cool." He'd paused behind someone sat on a beanbag, and had a good veiw of the guys sketch, so had thought it rude not to comment. Sidling around him to sit on another beanbag, he offered the boy a nod.
As Colt was in the zone and was sketching, he heard someone mutter cool behind him. He turned around and saw it was another Slytherin. He nodded to him in greeting. He began to sketch some more and he was actually finished with the drawing. He was quite pleased and it seemed the little dude was too. He looked at him. Oh bloody merlin he seemed to be the same age as him. "I'm Colt. Colt Winchester." he told the kid his name. He didn't seem familiar. Maybe we was a newbie like he was.
But she'd just been in the shower for a VERY LONG TIME trying to scrub off all the grossness. Especially in her hair. She was going to let it air-dry tonight because she hadn't felt like drying it herself. All she'd felt like doing was sit here in front of the fireplace, wearing an oversized sweater over her pajamas, and feel sorry for herself.
She wasn't even sure what the worst part about this detention had been. It had been fine at first but then it had all just....gone downwards from there. Stupid Flamsteed had ruined everything! Zeke had too though. Boys. Seriously. Why had he just abandoned her like that? Was it because she'd probably looked pretty bad covered in gross mud-water? Was that it?
Absently twirling a curl of blonde hair around her finger, Maggie just stared into the fire, thinking. And frowning.

Just no. It was wrong on so many levels. She'd have to talk to Zeke about all this. ALL of it.
And then there was that. Hair. In her face. Hady wrinkled her nose a little bit but not because it smelled funny. It didn't. It smelt fine to her, like shampoo. It was the fact of hair being in her face. "It smells like shampoo Maggie. Trust me, it only smells like shampoo." She gave a small grin and reached out to pat her 'friends' arm lightly. "I don't blame you for being so upset though it sounds like things went badly." You know the whole detention thing and all that.
"Erm Maggie...why exactly did 'you' end up in detention. With Zeke." She hadn't wanted to ask but she had to know. That stupid paper wasn't always right.

But for now Maggie believed Hady. She seemed to be genuinely sympathetic.
Maggie stopped twirling her hair around her finger to give Hady a long look. She briefly considered not answering her to give Zeke the chance to do it. But then again he clearly didn't care about her so why should she take his feelings into consideration? So whatever. "Because we got caught snogging in the observatory." She ended up saying quite bluntly. Trying to appear casual about the whole thing, Maggie even added a small shrug before her eyes returned to the flames again.

The conversation had changed. That much as clear to the fourth year as she looked from Maggie to the cat on her lap. Resuming scratching behind Hagan's ears silently as she thought about her 'friends' and just why Maggie was asking about Zeke.
The change of talking about detention and such to Hady and Zeke didn't really bother her only she wasn't entirely sure how to answer. Or we'll more like how 'much' she should tell her. "He just is. I guess we don't see one another any other way then just friends." She shrugged her shoulders.
