Fourth years? He couldn't believe it. "Yeah I mean we are going to have to step up our game in lessons next year." He wanted to be better at DADA. I mean dueling club was an amazing experience this year. Hopefully next year he will participate. "What are your plans for the summer?" he asked. "Maybe we can visit each other in Diagon Alley?"
Kate gave a look of confusion as she saw Colt start to stand up then sit down again. "Am I interrupting something?" she asked. Was he about to go somewhere? If she didn't know better, she'd say it appeared as if he got up to leave as soon as he saw her. She knew better than that, though!
She laughed when Colt said her blue robes stood out amongst the sea of green. "I'm glad you like having me here. Of course I couldn't go away for the summer and not see you first!" she said. Speaking of which... "That's partly the reason why I came over here in the first place. I have something to tell you."
She paused, but not because she was hesitating. She paused because she suddenly got a little bit nervous. Then she just spit it out. "The answer is yes," she said.

SPOILER!!: Dante, Frankie and Professor York
The question always was how long till food because that was the main reason he came every year. Talking to people was too much work. If someone really wanted to talk to him they would find him. He was not hard to find. Was he? Oh Hady was here. Dante was looking forward to the summer because he had a family reunion. But on top of that was her party. Which should be awesome.
"Hey Hady. Ready for the summer?"
-----
Even though he had a more pressing matter on his mind, the look from Brooklyn hadn't gone unnoticed. Frankie gave her a look and a "sup" nod back, wondering if it was just him or if she seemed to be a little frumpier than the usual. The thought trickled to the back of his mind. He'd torment her later, after he got the whole Professor York thing under wraps.
And he totally caught sight of Maggie, grinning at him and Hady. Frankie blinked once, twice, thrice. The blond was still not sure how he felt about her after the whole Valentine's Day fiasco, but he knew moderate civility was needed with her bring his roommate's girlfriend and Hady's roommate. So he gave her a small nod, acknowledging that he saw her and everything. He hoped that she wasn't up to her usual plotting.
Hady's voice reeled him back in, and he noticed that soft sigh of hers. Normally he would have neither cared nor thought anything of it, but she was being more quiet than the usual. He had learned the stark difference between happy and sad Hady over the course of the past few months. "You going to be okay?" She didn't need to answer that. It was just way of him saying that he noticed something was off. "Yeah. Probably. That new professor better be a genius and let us do whatever we --" Was she going to cry? Err ... was this when he was supposed to pat her back or something? Maybe tell a funny joke?
Suddenly a hand was placed on his shoulder. Frankie's head quickly turned to face the person, some snide remark about to escape his mouth. But he swallowed and blinked when he realized that Professor York had come down from her spot at the staff table. She couldn't leave if he transformed her into something first, right? "You can't leave us. You just can't. We need you here." Cue his trademark sad and pouty face.
----
Beatrice was looking forward to her next chapter. BUT she had made the very tough decision to leave one set of students for another let. Namely, those who actually seemed dedicated enough to train to become animagi. Certain 7th years had come to see her, but of course, after the school term was over, there was little she could do. However... Frankie and Hady were another story. She could have stayed on to mentor them in becoming animagi. Unfortunately, changing circumstanced led to hard decisions being made.
Spotting both of them on the Slytherin table, Beatrice left the staff table and headed towards the two of them. She placed a hand on either of their shoulders and said, "I'm terribly sorry our time together had to be cut short. You are both magnificent in the field of transfiguration, and I know, I just know, you will become animagi." And throat clearing. WHY WERE THESE PARTING TIMES SO HARD? "I am only an owl away. And if you need any help during your summer holidays, I am more than happy to tutor you."
Hmm? Oh. Oh! Dante was speaking to her. That was going to happen at the feast and if she was going to make it through the meal Hady had to get with the program. Luckily for her and probably for him the fellow snake asked if she was ready for summer. Nothing other then that. This question she could handle. "Yep. I'll finally get to the see the house which means I can straighten out the last of the details for my party." This was a good thing. Knowing what the place looked like certainly made planning it out all that much easier.
Frankie was the first person to notice something wasn't quiet right since she had sat down at the table. It was a little odd really but not so much so, normally she was better at masking her feelings but just many people were going to be leaving. However she nodded her head after casting a quick glance towards Adi and where he now was at the Gryffindor table. "Yeah, yeah I'll be fine." To prove it she even gave him a small grin. See, all good. Whatever we- what? Hady tipped her head slightly waiting for him to continue but he didn't.
Opening her mouth to ask him what he was going to say there was suddenly a hand on her shoulder causing her to spin around quickly in surprise. Professor York. Oh geez. No, no. Don't go being all nice. Hady blinked up at the women unable to answer her. Frankie had basically covered what she was thinking anyhow so she nodded in agreement with him. Mhmm. What he had said. What if the new Professor didn't think they were as good at Transfiguration as she did and didn't want to help them became Animagi yet? And just how could she help them with this over the summer if they couldn't practice magic?

"No no you weren't interrupting anything. To be honest I was going to be on my way to see you." he grinned as cheesy as that sounds. "Neither could I and I mean we barely saw each other ya know for the last few weeks. I didn't want you to think I didn't forget about you or anything.." Look at him beginning to ramble. He never has done this in a while. Usually he thought of girls like his sister kind of thing but Kate was something special to him.
Wait a minute she had something to tell him...? *brows* He was grinning wide and his heart was speeding up. What did she have to tell him? He tilted his head to the right and urged her on. "What did you wan--" he began when she began and he beamed. She said yes? Yes to what? OH RIGHT! She was saying yes to being his girlfriend. He nodded and felt relieved. "I'll make sure we go slow okay?" he promised her and held her hand and squeezed it. They were gonna take baby steps. "What are your plans this summer besides seeing me of course." he joked with a little wink.

"You weren't even here yet," he said to her. Meaning now that she was here it was more likely for him to stay for a while. Because before there was nobody really to stay for. There was Ellery a little further down the table, but she was busy at the moment and he would see her soon anyway. He snuggled up next to Dot. He did not actually know if she liked snuggling but he did, so he supposed he would find out soon enough.
"Are you excited to go home? Or are you going to miss Hogwarts? Or both?" He wondered how the seventh years felt about it, but he didn't really know any well enough to ask them. But he could ask one anyway. Maybe later.
He was staying! Dottie grinned at Olly, and her grin broadened when he leaned in for a cuddle. Did he know that she was an absolute cuddlemonster? Dot cuddled back. With enthusiasm. He was so full of questions today. Or was he always like that? It seemed kind of familiar to her... "I'm glad to be off for the summer. Fifth year was crazy, with the studying and the drama!Claws. Olly blinked. What was that interaction between Dot and Ellery. Had he missed something? Did they even know each other. Last he knew their only interaction had been Ellery doing backflips or whatever in the train on the way to Hogwarts. Was there something else? But he decided not to comment or think too much more about it. Because he didn't really care all that much as long as Dot was being nice to his sister, which she was, right?
YAY she did like to cuddle. Also chicken wings were her favorite. Olly would remember that. It would probably never be important again, but he would remember it. "What do you think there will be for desert?" He asked. Because priorities. Olly cared way more about the desert than about the actual dinner food. Though he was kind of in the mood for spaghetti for some reason. He liked chicken wings too though.
Studying, oh yeah. She'd had OWLs. Olly did not even want to think about that. He was very glad that it was still quite a ways away for him. By the time he took them he would be 16 whole years old. And Dot would be out of Hogwarts doing something cool. She also mentioned Ravenclaws, which was a little weird. But Olly's eyes immediately narrowed and he glanced over toward their table. His eyes landed on that boy. Ugh yes, Ravenclaws. He nodded solemnly at Dot's advice. Stay away from Ravenclaws, got it.
"I'm glad too," he agreed. Hogwarts was awesome and all, but it was going to be good to be home. "I'll get to see my brother again. Every day all summer. And Ellery will be right there and not all the way up in Gryffindor tower." But of course there would be some people he would miss. Like Dot. Which meant he needed to get in enough cuddles now to last all summer.
Hugo heard some rumours that Dakest and other professors were leaving and THAT was just sad. He was going to say goodbye to them later.
"Good, excited to go back home finally" told to Hady "Doing something fun during summer?" he hoped these vacations lasted forever 'cause OWLs were coming next term and he was not mentally prepared for it. Nope. "That's the way it should be" Hugo nodded at Dante "Same. Getting ready for summer though I don't know what I'm going to do yet" he shrugged. And that comment Cutty just said....well....."Better be safe than sorry" he highly doubt it was true but no pumpkin juice for now. He also waved at Brooklyn. Hellooo.
"Hey Maggie" gave her a what's up nod. Aaaand yeah, he heard what Dante said to her "You going to the beach together?" he smirked but that didn't susprised Hugo except for the spontaneous and energetic greeting a first year gave to Dante. He chuckled "You have little fans too he didn't mind if the girl (Ellery) had heard the comment.

So many of her favorite upperclassmen were graduating this term. Ava didn't really like it but... They had to, right? First Adi, then Sophie, Zander... and Ethan! Yes, how could she forget that Slytherin boy?
To the Slytherin table, yeah....
The young lioness dragged herself to the Snake table, finding the seventh-year blonde guy. There he was, hopefully she didn't bother him. "Ethan!!!" She waved at him then walked closer to his seat. "Hey! It's so sad that you're graduating but.... Happy graduation to you!" She smiled. Yeah, she's smiling though it was sad to see her favorite upperclassman graduated and leaving the school. "Oh, I have something for you." Reaching her pocket, she handed him a chocolate frog. "Just a little graduation present, I think." Hehehe.

Merlin, this child.
Ethan tilted his head to the side, basking in the cuteness of Miss Celery. “You sound like I’m about to die in a few minutes. I’m just leaving school, but I’m still going to be around.” The Slytherin reached out and wiped a stray tear from Ellery’s cheek. “Let me know when Hogsmeade is open, yeah? I’ll definitely come and visit.” It won’t be so hard to apparate from wherever he is to the village, right? Right.
It didn’t take long for him to be in a state of confusion, to amused, and then to being surprised. The Slytherin thought this visit was about...Ellery saying goodbye to him, but no. This has something to do with Josie?
...and wait, what? She fancies someone? Hold up! This isn’t fair! Why only tell him now when he’s about to leave for good? Ethan picked up his goblet, and was about to take a sip when Cousin Cutty came in. Without looking at the other seventh year, Ethan stopped, glanced at his goblet and placed it back on the table.
Ethan let Ellery continue, and stared at her for a good moment. He’s not rugged...but he’s got nice biceps. Well, according to him, anyway. “What year is he in?” Maybe he can go threat this person before he leaves the building for good.
Uh-huh.
---
Before he can even continue with the investigation with Ellery, Professor Myers approached him and handed him...a flower?
Ethan looked up at the man from his seat, and grinned. Please, no Professor. Do NOT mention anything that is NEWT related. Merlin.
The Slytherin, without a word, stood up from his seat and gave the man a full hug. “Thank you, professor.” He said as he released the man from his hug, and watched him approach his cousin.
--
As he was about to sit down, he saw another fellow Slytherin whom he felt like protecting, and assuring every time. Her look was a clue that she was not in a good mood. Well, Brooklyn looked like she’s never okay with how things work around her, but tonight, she looked...like she’s fighting emotions to stay put.
Ethan wanted to say something, but he thought, maybe he could talk to her somewhere far from their table? Brooklyn obviously needed a moment, and Ethan wanted to help her out.
Sigh. Goodbyes are indeed hard to do.
--
Leaning on the table, Ethan looked to his right to acknowledge Dante. “Yes sir, I am.” He said giving him a salute. Being a graduate feels nice, actually, but the goodbye part sucks. Looking at Dante and his group of friends, Ethan can say that Slytherin was in good hands.
There’s enough students to cause chaos...and make brilliant achievements as well.
“Well, I won’t be here next term to say this, but...good luck on your OWLs.” He said giving him a thumbs up. He’d do well. Ethan was sure of it.
--
And another little person called him out!
Ethan turned and his face lit up as he saw Teddy’s twin. “Hey there, Miss Burton.” He said as he gave her a nod of acknowledgement. “And thank you. It’s nice of you to come all the way here to say that.” Isn’t she sweet? Well, Ethan has heard some things from this mischievous child, but she’s cool. She’s a Gryffindor after all. “Oh hey, thanks.” He said as he accepted the chocolate frog from her. Teddy liked those treats, yeah? “It’s not tainted, isn;t it?” he asked as he placed it on top of his head, offering the first year his charming grin.

She was meeting Caleb down there, and so headed down the table, taking a seat in the area that they usually sat at. Caleb wasn't here yet, so she poured herself a glass of pumpkin juice, and waited for him to get there.
Caleb could NOT believe it was time for his last feast. It was just NEWTs, the feast, the train ride...and then BAM. He was an ADULT. And he had to do ADULT THINGS. WHAT.
The only think that could cheer him up right now was Grace. She had helped him keep sane this past semester as he was trying to study for NEWTs, so he didn't go into another breakdown like he had with OWLs. He was pretty sure he had gray hairs forming because of these tests!
He spotted Grace immediately as he approached the table and plopped down next to her and kissed her cheek. "Hey there!" he said happily, trying not to show that he was having a quarter life crisis on they side.
Although really, that was ALL the time.

She murmured, laughing a little. At least he wasn't annoying her tonight. that was usual Frankie behaviour, so she was glad he wasn't being annoying today.
Grace turned her attention back to the table, and took a sip of her juice. She looked up as she felt someone sitting next to her, and she smiled, seeing that it was Caleb. "Hi..." She murmured happily, smiling at him. She did like seeing him, though she was still sad that he wouldn't be here last night. "I can't believe it's your last feast!"

Ew. Dot was being all condescending."I am coming down with something, and it's called 'I can't believe Ethan Mordaunt, one of two people besides my brother I am actually friends with at this school, is graduating, leaving me alone with nobody except two Slytherin boys, who I rarely see, to abandon me next term,' and it's TERMINAL." Ellery made a face when Ethan wiped her tear. Why did he have to go and be so bloody nice??? That wasn't fair, especially when she was emotional already. "Can you visit every single time you have a chance? And can I visit YOU during the summer? And can we snuggle?" That last question was a rhetorical one. She opened her arms and cuddled into Ethan. While she was there, she discovered that yes, Ethan did indeed have good biceps. Could he get any more perfect??
He had the expected reaction, and Ellery had the perfect response. Time was running out - last chance would be the train ride, but she didn't want to wait until then.
"It doesn't matter what year he's in, you still have a chance, but you need to listen VERY closely."
Pause for dramatic effect.
"You're running out of time. A couple more hours and she'll be out of your life FOREVER. But if you snog her, maybe she'll change her mind, especially if you're a good kisser. But you have to do it fast, I don't know when he will arrive."
This term was so odd and it seemed that the end of it was even a bit stranger. There were so many people leaving, it was going to be so very different. "I'm terribly sorry to you both, to leave you so soon in our studies together." She had a deep look of concern on her face. NO of course she didn't want to leave these students.
"Oh, dessert. Dessert is the most important, so you gotta save room for it." She ruffled Olly's hair and grinned at him. He was so cute. Why hadn't she spent more time spoiling him this term and making him one of her minions? She was losing her head minion already, and it was time to recruit someone new. "I bet we'll have at least three puddings, and maybe some cake. And ice cream!"
Aww. Olly had a brother he missed, just like Dot did! She ruffled him again for good measure. "I have a brother too, and I'll be glad to see him every day. He's very little, and I'm worried he'll forget about me. His name is Bubba. How old is your brother?" She side eyed Ellery.

Saying that actually made Ellery's eyes water up again, so she furiously scrubbed at them. Dot didn't need to see her weakness.
"Terminal is very serious." And Ellery was a drama queen. They were all losing people, and it wasn't like Ellery's losses made her special. To the contrary, they made her just like everyone else. Including Dot.
"I'm losing people I care about too. Good thing, so we all know what it feels like to go through this. And graduation is brilliant, so you shouldn't make him feel bad for being successful at his whole point of being here. You should wish him well, and hug him, and then send him on his way. Someone might think it really selfish to do otherwise. Not me, but someone might." Just saying.
She sat in her thoughts , for a moment.....that is until she was shaken from her inner solitude by a tap on her shoulder. The familiar voice reached her ears as she turned to look at him. "If I minded I should rethink dating you." She smiled and when he conjured a rose before her, she blushed a little as she patted beside her for him to sit.
He chuckled."Now why would you rethink of such a thing. Thank you, and I will." He sat down beside her and looked at her plate. Tsk tsk. "Why are you eating so little! Its the feast llia! Not to worry, I get more pumpkin pies for you and we can share," he reached for that delicious looking plate and put a few of them in front of her. Oh and not to forget swwweeeetttss, more sweeets for her...coz' she was looking exceptionally sweet and pretty today. Whaahaha. Okay. Stop,Henric. Ehem. Once he was satisfied that her plate was completely full. He turned to face her again,"How are you feeling, girlfriend? "he asked her gently.

If she could have come back for animagi seminars, she would in a heartbeat. But that hadn't come up with Ab, so it was likely not on the cards.
She said she was fine? Frankie rose an eyebrow at Hady, not totally buying that and the the small that had appeared on her face. If there was anything of importance he had learned this entire school year, it was that girls were generally NOT fine when they said they were. Such confusing creatures, they were. In his opinion, they just needed to say how they really felt. It made everything so much easier. But crying was not allowed. That was just too much to handle.
Professors (more specifically the ones he thought were important) leaving was also something that was too much to handle. He knew that he was being childish, but he continued on with the pouting. It was bound to work eventually, right? The blond shot a quick glance at Hady. Why wasn't she pouting? Where were her sad little puppy eyes? Heck... where were the TEARS, Hady? This would be the only situation where those would be allowed.
But, Merlin, this one was a tough one to crack. Frankie was now looking back at the professor, listening as she apologized again her for leaving them. That was NOT the answer he was looking for, Beatrice! The boy crossed his arms, the question of why she wan't returning next term running through his mind.
"Are they not paying you enough here? Is that why you're leaving?" It wouldn't be a complete shocker. After all, how many professors already turned in their resignation forms? It would made sense for a bunch of them to leave if their paychecks were going to be cut. "I'll talk to my father. He's the CEO of Sleekeazy's, so we've got loads of money. He can make a generous donation to the school. Or he can just give you whatever amount the school isn't giving you, plus a nice bonus for the Animagus stuff." He knew his father would rather go down that route, just to make sure his money wasn't being used elsewhere.

Yes! It was! Dot understood him. He looked hopeful at her mention of the desserts. Cake sounded really good, he hoped that's what there was. "Chocolate cake," he added. Because chocolate was always the best flavor. Then Botros was talking and soon enough there actually was food on the table. Olly reached for the chicken wings immediately, pulling them toward him and Dot.
"Really? How old is he?" He was really little? Like a baby? That sounded cute, but Olly liked that his siblings were both the same age as him. A baby sounded exhausting. And they probably cried a lot. "He's the same age as me 'n Ellery. We're triplets." Didn't she know? It was okay that she didn't, because most people didn't. Since only two of them at Hogwarts people assumed that's all there were.
Speaking of Ellery, he was going to ignore the conversation happening between her and Dot. But he did send her a look to please not overreact about anything. Because she did tend to do that.

Nobody had bothered her. Good. That didn’t mean that her notice hadn’t gotten acknowledged, although Brooklyn most definitely was not returning that ‘sup’ nod that she’d gotten from Frankie. She didn’t do that. Just nods to say she’d noticed them, like what she’d gotten back from Dante, and a curious lok toward Hugo’s wave. Slytherins knew the deal. She’d been curious about Hady, though, although not enough to break loose of her own thing to ask. She knew that her dormmate would understand what she was going through. That’d already happened once, so there wasn’t any reason to think things had changed.
She’d just stayed in her little bubble of trying not to actually cry. Trying not to show weakness, yet she’d felt Ethan’s glance at her. At least there hadn’t been any response to her irritated comment to Cutty’s little joke. Odds were that would’ve gotten another comment in the same tone, anyway. Instead, she’d glanced up t the staff table, more to make sure her earlier thought that Professor Dakest would have been watching her again wasn’t true than anything else. Why people felt the need to make sure she was okay mystified her, seeing as they weren’t supposed to know anyway. She’d noted that Ethan hadn’t asked, too, before she realized the headmaster was giving an odd speech. Not just because of the focus on those stupid school spirit things all term. He seemed confused or tired or something. Maybe he’d gotten bit by an invisible spider. She hoped not.

How did Dante know she was going to the beach?? Or maybe he'd just assumed she was going to go. Which, knowing her, was a very good assumption. Either way she grinned at him and nodded excitedly. "I am!" Although she still wasn't entirely sure she would like whatever said going to the beach would entail. Nah, it would be fine though. Because BEACH!!
....oh, wait, what?
Maggie's eyes flicked from Hugo to Dante. She then grabbed her best friend's arm and beamed at him. "Are we?!" Like, that would be awesome. Did Hugo know more than her? Or had he simply just had the best idea ever? Because whether or not Dante had been wanting to go to the beach, Maggie was now definitely going to make him take her.
The speech was a little....boring. And weird. But that might have also been simply because she hadn't been paying too much attention. Well done, Hady though. She gave her friend a grin. And yes, she'd seen that nod earlier, Frankie. And she was going to take it as a good sign.

Everyone was glad it was the end of the term and they would be going home. Sure it was heartbreaking that so many Professors were leaving as well as all their senior friends but in the end it was time to go home, see their families. So when Hugo said he was happy to be heading home Hady didn't expect anything less and gave him a nod of the head in understanding. "Uh just my party next month, nothing else yet that I know of. You're gonna come right?" She'd be sending owls out to everyone shortly before the party to confirm who all would be there.
Frankie didn't believe her. It was clear that he didn't and who could blame him, when she herself didn't even believe it. Keeping the small smile on her face she kept her voice low enough for only him to hear her, "I'm not fine but I will be. It's just a lot of people leaving, you know?" That he could understand, right? She was sure he did.
Listening to Professor York say how sorry she was for leaving them Hady understood. She didn't want to go but she was anyway. Even if she didn't understand it sometimes people came and went it was a way of life and well glancing at Frankie she knew what he was feeling too. Over the course of the year the brunette had come to really like this Professor and training to be an Animagi she needed someone she could trust. Sighing softly Hady slipped off of the bench and hugged the women. "We know it's not your fault, we're just...well we don't want you to go. Thanks for offering to allow us to owl you, I'm pretty sure we'll be doing that." She smiled softly before returning to her seat next to Frankie and looking at him.
Really Frankie? Professor York probably wasn't leaving on account of how much money she was or wasn't making. Shaking her head a little she laid a light hand on the blonde's arm to draw his attention away from their form Professor and to herself for a second. "I doubt it has anything to do with that pay...we'll be okay. We can help each other with this just like we have been." It's what friends did. If he wanted her help or not she'd be there. Hady was always there, for everyone.

A hug.
Oh, bless her.
Beatrice wrapped her arms around Hady to return the hug, which had been such a lovely gesture. She nodded at Hady as she returned to her seat, "Well I look forward to those Owls. I want to hear about your progress. You are both dedicated and intelligent in the required areas to succeed in this." And that woman rarely lied, so what she was saying was the complete truth.
But then there was Frankie. Again. Merlin, the boy was making it so difficult for her. "Frankie, dear, it's not about the money." Her big Puffer heart was about to explode all over the Slytherin table. YES she felt terribly guilty.
"I do have a little parting gift for you both," she added, pulling two wrapped books from her little bag with the extendable charm. All of those presents had to be carried some way. "Here. This is just a little gift that I hope will help you." She handed them each one, wrapped in green paper. It was a thick book with practically everything they needed to know about how to become an animagi. Plus a little note with the address of her little tutoring centre on the inside of the cover. "Now you both remember what we spoke about? Practice your human transfiguration spells, and keep practicing, making, and drinking those transfiguration potions."

"Tell me about it. I feel like I have to eat until I explode or I won't make the most of it," Caleb said with a chuckle. He was joking, but as soon as he said that, he kind of felt like he HAD to do that. Hmmm. Could he smuggle some food out? Why not?! HE SHOULD TAKE A GOBLET. OR A FORK. Would he get in serious trouble for pocketing a fork? Hmmm.
"So, any plans this summer?" he asked with a smile as he took a sip of pumpkin juice. Caleb thought that was a weird question, now that he thought about - he didn't have summer anymore. He just had LIFE.
