I dub thee, Miss Celery of the Fifth House of the Great Squid.” Ethan lifted his fork and tapped Ellery’s left shoulder with it...then tapped the other.
As he made room for Ellery to sit, Ethan did a quick glance back at the Ravenclaw table. “She’s the prettiest.” He said longingly, and then winked at the Gryffindor. Ethan continued to eat, and almost showered the person sitting in front of him with chewed food. ESP? What the hell is that? The Slytherin blinked and WONDERED if the kid is really a child. “I dare you then.” What? It was a good deal. He didn’t need to exert EFFORT, and if Celery succeeds, then he’ll get a KISS from Josie. Ellery giggled slightly. Ethan was FUNNY. Super funny. She liked talking to him. He was SILLY, almost. Comedic, that was the word. "I'm glad! Otherwise that would be sad, if you had to go to St. Mungo's or something so EARLY into the school term, y'know?" That would be scary. "I'm eleven! My birthday's on Valentine's DAY. OOOO. Can I change our bet so that I can try and get Josie to snog you by my birthday? That way worst case scenario, it's Valentine's Day. Girls go CRAZY for that stuff. It's weird."
Homework? She made a face. "I mean, I COULD if you want, but I dunno if you'd want me to, because this is my first year here and all. Like, I'd try my BEST, obviously, but you might not do that well. What's your favorite class, by the way? I'm SUPER excited for Defense AND Arithmancy. They sound SO COOL." And YES she liked celery. "I made myself like it because it rhymes with my name and all."
!!!! WAS SHE BEING KNIGHTED BY HIM?!?!?! She beeeaaaamed at him, then bowed nobly. "I command thee to take the throne with me, Sir Ethan, King of the Fifth House of the Great Squid." HEHEHEHEHEH.
Awww. "You're SOOOOOOOO in LUUUURVE with her, hahaha. Girls like that. I think, anyway. Boys are more confusing, but girls are pretty straightforward, I think." And then she cracked her knuckles. "I take that bet. But first, you have to introduce her to me. THEN I got it DOWN." She demonstrated by daintily eating some potatoes. GOT IT. |
