Somehow Adi never got to explore as much much recently what with prefect duties and being a social badger/ hippogriff. So today, he was changing that. He happily stalked down to the dungeons, passing the spot where Hannah Lockwood had had the nerve to pick on him during his first year. Every time he looked back on that, he though the incident was incredibly hilarious. Of course he didn't think so at that time when he was eleven.

Anyway...

Here he was at the passage's entrance. He couldn't help but wonder if he would meet any Snakes along the way so that they might let him sneak a peek at their common room. Maybe Ethan or Simon would but definitely not Echo or Brooklyn.

The Gryffindor remembered that there was a place for her to go and not to be around people. She had, had a horrible week so far. She hated the news that her brother had told her and she didn't want to sit by the fireplace in the common room and cry. Larissa felt like an outcast in her house already so crying around them would only make her feel worse. She hadn't been able to control her emotions lately. it was to be expected that she would be able to, considering what happened.

Larissa didn't know where she was running to. She didn't have many places to go but she knew that there was one place that she would mind going and she knew that not many people knew that she would be there. She only had like two friends here so she wouldn't be surprised if no one knew that she was here right now. The brunette wiped some of the tears from her dark brown eyes but more tears followed after that. The seventh year ran into the the secret passage way and bumped into some in the process. "I-I'm s-so sorry." She said quickly, she couldn't see very well thanks to the tears so she couldn't tell if she had met this person before.

Nope, no Snakes could be seen at this point. How disappointing. Where were they all when a Hufflepuff really needed them? Hmph. So, would he turn back and head the way he came from? NOPE! He was going to continue exploring. Too bad he didn't have one of his many friends. But woah! Someone just bumped into him.

"It's alright,'' he said turning quickly to see who it was. A Slytherin, perhaps? Nah, it was Gryffindor. Larissa whom he had met earlier that term at the Start of Term Feast. And was she crying? Her eyes DID look watery but the dungeon was kind of dark so he couldn't quite tell for sure if. "Larissa? What's wrong?"

Did she need a hug? Someone to talk to? Someone to just lend a ear? Or a shoulder? Adi could do all of that if she was upset. Mhmm.

Larissa sniffled and wiped the tears from her eyes but that didn't stop the crying. She had a feeling nothing or no one would be able to stop the crying at all. She was going to be sad forever. There was no way that she was going to stop crying, the only thing that she wanted right now was to be able to stop crying. "J-just...s-stuff." She didn't want to feel like a bother, that's how she felt most days and most days in Gryffindor.

In her house she felt like she was the biggest bother of all because she didn't like it in Gryffindor, she felt like she didn't belong there. She didn't want to feel like that but since day one she felt like. Mostly because of the start of term feast. She didn't know anyone and not that many people that said hello to her, the prefects didn't even welcome her to Hogwarts or to Gryffindor but when she made her way over to the Hufflepuff table people had welcomed her to Hogwarts and asked her what house she had gotten into but not from her own house.

Okay, Larissa was definitely crying. Adi wasn't even sure the Lion had registered whom she was talking to. It didn't matter though. "Wanna talk about the stuff?'' He wasn't going to push her to speak about it all but he was going to be comforting. And so the Hufflepuff placed an arm around her shoulder cautiously. Cautiously because he wasn't sure if she would welcome the gesture.

Adi had no idea of the internal struggles Larissa was battling with but he did hope he could help with whatever she was dealing with right now. It had to be really bad from all the crying she was doing. Right now though, he just let her cry as he held her. It seemed to be his thing this term... helping his friends cope. First Henric, then Ilia and now Larissa.

She didn't know what she was doing, she didn't even know who was right in front of her. It was dark in here but she was also crying and it really didn't help her at all right now. Every time she wiped her tears away more formed and fell down her face. "I'm...sure you wouldn't want to hear about my stupid problems." No one wanted to know her problems, no one even knew who she was so why did it matter.

Larissa sighed and wiped her eyes once more. Tears still ran down her face. "I....don't...want to be a bother to you." She really didn't want to put her problems on someone else. Most of her problems she was able to change but the current events that have made that difficult to change.

Stupid problems? No one had stupid problems. "It's your lucky day, Larissa,'' Adi said in a cheerful tone, his arms still around the girl's shoulder. "This Hufflepuff won't think that your problems are stupid today. You found him in a good mood.'' Was this helping to take her mind off not wanting to talk? His cheerfulness, he meant.

Apparently not.

"Stop talking like that,'' the Hufflepuff told her firmly but gently. "I dunno why you feel that way but I'm all ears.'' Mhmm, he was. "Does it have something to so with school?" Maybe NEWT studying was overwhelming her.

Lucky day? No it wasn't, today really didn't feel like lucky at all. This whole year didn't even seem lucky and it wasn't even over with yet. Larissa sighed when he explained to her why it was her lucky day. It still didn't feel like her lucky day. It was very kind of him to think that her problems weren't stupid but that didn't mean that she didn't think her problems were stupid.

Larissa looked up at him. She shook her head and wiped more of her tears away. "No...it has nothing to do with school." Part of it did but that part didn't seem like it was that important right now. "M...myparentsaredead." She muttered quietly as more tears rolled down her face. There it was out in the open.

Adi knew all he had to do was to wait for Larissa to tell him what was going on now that he had put it out there that he was there for her. Yep, she could use him as a shoulder to cry on, a punching bag for frustration, whatever it was. Just feel better soon, Larrisa!

Alright, so no Hogwarts issues. Goody! Adi was prepared for a school related issue but surely NOT what she said next. He froze momentarily in shock. No... she just hadn't said that her parents are dead... "I'm so sorry about that, Larissa,'' he said softly as he continued to hold her comfortingly. "How did it happen?'' But no, she didn't have to tell him if she didn't want to. He was happy just to let her cry out her sorrows.

She shrugged. Really it didn't matter. She felt horrible about the whole event that had happened with her parents but it felt worse on most days since she won't get to say goodbye to them or even be able to see them again. Why was he apologizing? It wasn't his fault that they were gone.

"You don't have to be sorry, it's not your fault that they're gone."

The seventh year knew little details about the accident. She knew the major part about it but that was really it for now. "I just know that my mum and dad were on a muggle cruise ship and the ship sank but I don't know how or why it sank." She shrugged again and wiped some more tears from her face that were starting to fall again.

The Gryffindor wanted answers, she wanted to know why the ship sank and why her parents wanted to go on a cruise. She just wanted to know why.
