While Hogwarts' firsties are heading for the school via the "firstie" boats, the rest of the students will be taking the usual carriages back to the school.
These are the same carriages that have been used for years and years. They are round, black, and seat about four students. They also appear to move along on their own, with an invisible something inside the harnesses...

Yeah. You couldn't put boring and Hogwarts in the same sentence.
COMC and Charms? That's interesting choice. "Mine is Herbology." She wondered who's the Herbology Professor now, since she heard Bentley didn't teach at Hogwarts anymore. "Did you guys learn something interesting last year?" Because she wanted to know hat she has been missing all this time.
Hady knew her favorite lessons were somewhat different together but it made sense really when one knew her well enough. "COMC I enjoy because I like caring for creatures of all kinds." Minus spiders now though. "And I'm really good at Charms," she explained just a little bit so her previous answer now made some sense. Herbology? Good choice. Good lesson. She liked plants as well but wasn't all that great with them.
Um now that was an interesting question. Did they learn anything interesting last term. Yes. They always learned something good throughout the whole year. "We worked on trying to cast a Patronus last term...not that anyone really can though. Maybe like only one or two of us all managed it." Hady frowned a bit as she spoke this answer. She'd spent a good part of last term working on that and she hadn't gotten it. However she was getting closer and she knew it, if it hadn't been for all those problems with the spiders and things she probably would've been able to cast hers by now.

To be completely honest, Reagan was about ten seconds away from flinging her arms around the blonde-haired girl. Her nervous!excited energy was that severe...but she somehow restrained herself. Hugs could come after they got to know one another better. If Iselin said it was okay, of course...since it was important to get permission first. Some people were funny about physical contact, or so Rea had learned.
"Oh, no! Well, I mean...I'm anxious and have butterflies like I am new, but no. I left and am just coming back. Proud Ravenclaw." Her face was aching from all the smiling, but there was no stopping it. "What about you?"
Oh..... Well that was intresting and she had never heard of someone leaving and coming back before. "Well, welcome back Rea of Ravenclaw." she gave the girl a smile. How did it work for those returning, were they resorted or do they just go back to theor old house.. Lots of questions she had for her.
She took her bag and set it on her opposite side from the girl instead on in her lap as she seemed to relax a bit. Strangers were difficult to Izzy most times but it didnt seem that way with this one. Oh, houses.. Right "I am in Gryffindor." whatever that meant. She still hadn't a single clue but you know ahe was just here for the learning not for the labeling. "Where did you go when you left?" concersation was happening... See, she could DO this.
Well, at least Colt was laughing this off. Kate laughed lightly, enjoying the fact that she could speak her mind without somebody getting upset about it. She raised her eyebrows at his comment. "So you're counting on yourself being in Slytherin then," she said, picking up on the fact that he'd mentioned calling him a snake. "It'll be interesting then to see how that plays out. We'll find out in less than an hour." She gave him an amused smile.
Kate leaned over to get a better look as Colt began to open up the box. She was just trying to see which chocolate frog card he got, but she got a different surprise instead. "It's in my hair!" she half-shouted. She couldn't decide if she was more worried about her hair looking like a Hippogriff's nest or the fact that a perfectly good chocolate frog was about to get away. "Catch it!" she encouraged. She laughed as it got away again. "It's just the magic. It's only chocolate, so yes, people love to eat them." She swiped through the air and managed to catch the frog. Passing it to Colt, she said, "Now bite into it, so it'll stop moving. Which card did you get? Oh, and how's my hair look?"
Colt nodded and told her truthfully, "Yeah I hope to be in Slytherin. It seems to fit me the most but we shall see." Wait less than an hour? Now his nerves were really setting in. He knew about the sorting hat but he was glad he didn't have to take a written test or anything. He was lousy at those. He knew Kate was in Ravenclaw since she was witty and could speak her mind, Colt didn't mind that. He find it kind of cute. Colt was busy trying to catch the chocolate frog when Kate called out it is in her hair. He half shrugged and laughed still trying to catch it. "I'm trying!" he said frustrated that it wouldn't stay in his hands. It was a slippery thing. "Oh so it's just the magic..." he said sarcastically and saw it on the window and made his way towards it.
Then he saw Kate swipe through the air and she caught it. Kudos to her. "Woah nice catch. You must of had lots of practice.." he said impressed. He got it from her hand and muttered, "Thanks." Now it was his time to eat it. He nodded and bit off his head without a seconds hesitation. Mannn this treat was good. He took another bite. He looked down at his package and wondered what card he got. He got it out of the package and flipped it over and noticed he got Albus Dumbledore. He furrowed his brow and showed it to her, "Who is this dude?" Then he heard Kate ask about her hair and assured her with, "It is looks fine just a little messy....here..." he said fixing it for her so it wouldn't have a huge bump on it.

Tia had to admit she was slightly curious when she saw Caleb roll up his sleeve to show Adi something, to which she had leaned forward slightly to have a look as best she could. Interesting. "What's it mean?" she inquired innocently.
"Why would you hex each other?" Really, she didn't understand him. Weren't they prefects and supposed to set a good example, not attack each other? "And i just meant, cause you think you're better that you need a carriage to yourself, so you probably think you're too smart for us too and need to learn more advanced or faster paced."
She was totally kidding though. No way was Caleb or any other prefect smarter than others just because of a badge. Badge didn't mean brains necessarily.

She was about to explain about her new piercing as her reward, but figured it was probably not appropriate and she should probably share with her dormmates first before a group of three guys. And she could practically feel the question hanging in the air; something she was sensitive to with her own inquisitive nature. It was understood that conversations always prompted questions.
Of course, Reagen assumed she'd be back in Ravenclaw...and said as much.
"I went to Northern Russia..."
OH, they were slowing down...which meant they were almost to the school! Rea peeked excitedly out of her window, taking in the sight of the castle with wide, adoring eyes. She was practically vibrating with her joy.

She liked taking care of creatures of all kinds? Even the big bad spiders that attack Hogwarts last year? She wondered. Hmmm..."So what's your favorite creatures then?" After she had mentioned liking caring for creatures of all types she probably should've added she wasn't found of spiders AT ALL. If she wanted to be a Creatures Healer though she knew she'd have to overcome this tiny problem of hers. Someday. Not today though or any day soon for that matter. "Magical or any kind? If you mean magical uh probably dragons. And if just normal animals then cats or my snake at home." Or maybe owls? If it was non-magical that was a hard choice.
Oh she wasn't good at Charms? That was alright. Everyone was good with different things. "If you ever need help with a Charm I wouldn't mind helping you out," Hady offered without a moments hesitation.
So Candice liked flesh-eating plants. Now that-that was different! Totally not expected either. "I like plants but I'm not that great with them." Neither was her mother. That women couldn't keep a plant alive if she needed to.
It WAS cool. It was like the most epic charm ever. Alright maybe....cause that rock to dragon charm was pretty darn cool as well. Hady shook her head a bit, "Nope. I think I'm getting closer though, maybe by the holidays I'll be able to cast it." For she hadn't given up working on it! She just wasn't able to with not being in school and such for the summer.

Russia!!!! She LOVED Russia!! "Oh, i have been to Russia!" she almost leapt out of her skin. Russia was one of her favorite places next to home. "And did you live there? Like... At a school?" or was she homeschooled? Did she like the cold? Was she a fan of sports... Could she snowboard? Could Izzy teach her to if not?! So many questions.
She saw the girl peek up at the slowing down of the carriage. "We are arriving." she couldnt help but smile. She needed to find Max... Wherever he was. "hopefully no spiders will greet us." heh.. Ew... No thank you.
