Upon entering the Training Hall, one will notice that at the west section of the hall, an obstacle course has been set up.
Here, there are a number of different challenges, from bars to walls to windows and doors to a foam pit, that students can use to practice maneuvering through a variety of environments. Physical training is encouraged over magical practice, but one never knows when a good placed spell might come in handy to get over, around, under or through an obstacle.
The rule in this section of the hall is simple. Don't break yourself.
If you have questions, concerns or would like demonstrations, speak to Professor Dakest. He will poke his head in here intermittently.
------------------------------------------- OOC: Please note that all DADA and SS Site rules apply here.

"Right? I was thinking that. I mean, magic is hands on enough as is." Kaycee said with a nod. It's like, having PE and then going home and working out. It was overdoing it.
But whatever. They didn't get a say in it.
"You'd enjoy it." Most likely. That's why they hung out, so Kaycee would tell him what he enjoyed. Otherwise he'd just be indifferent all the time.
Probably.
Pay her? "How much are we talking here?" Because it wasn't embarrassing. She would totally do it. She made her way to the edge of the pit and pulled herself up. She then sat on the edge and looked at him.
He did enjoy it. He was just never going to tell her that. Maybe....sigh. He probably would if she was insistent. But still he just grinned and shrugged. Oh Merlin, now he was probably going to pay to see her properly curtsy. He put his hands in his pockets to see if he had any money on his person. Just a sickle.
"All i got is a sickle"
He said staring up at her and pulling himself up.

A wave of his hand sent her falling quiet. He knew. He knew she was teasing and so was his. The realization of this made her smile at her. A Hady smile that is as she watched him on the bar beside her. Taking extra not to kick him she swung herself upright to sit on top of the bar, her hands resting on the bar near her legs.
"Just that I haven't been in here before. And the fact I haven't seen you outside of lessons either so it seemed like a place to have a good time." A good time and talk. That's all. Don't worry Zeke. Don't worry.
Her hazel eyes fixed on his face, her legs swinging back and forth. "Wanna move on to something else? You can pick now." See she was being nice. Leaving it up to him.
It seemed she understood, they were on the same page. He held his position as she changed hers, swinging up to sit on top of the bar. They were pretty much eye level now, and to make things easier for himself he swung a leg out to his opposite side to get himself on top of the bar so he could sit beside her.
And those were very good and reasonable points, which actually made him feel almost guilty. He hadn't spent much time with her this term, yet, but he had his reasons. Nothing seemed to go very well at the beginning of the term, save for perhaps the first night.. everything after that he'd be only too happy to forget. "Yeah, sorry about that... I wasn't in a social mood." He'd have elaborated further, but there wasn't much to tell. How was she though? Was she okay? She looked just fine but he was never very good at telling these things for certain, girls were weird. It wasn't their fault either, it was just the way they were... built? "How've you been anyway?" he questioned, "anything new?"
But then she went and said THAT.
Uh... no.
Nope.
"Getting on a bar is one thing, Miss Lynch, actually manoeuvring this space using the bars is a completely different thing." Legit. They were ON the obstacle, but hadn't done much with it. "Suppose we can swing our way to the foam pit though." A nice little crash landing. Heh.

Feet swinging gently back and forth she watched him change positions as well. For the briefest moment she liked having him eye level with her only he didn't stay that way and was soon sat up on the bar beside her. This was okay too only now she had to look up a little.
Hady shook her head and gave him a light grin. "Don't worry about we're hanging out now so it's all good." There was still the whole school year to hangout together more. Plus sometimes they each needed to do their own thing, she understood that. She actually made a few new friends. "I know." That's all she'd say to that. She KNEW. Therefore he didn't have to tell her unless he wanted to.
How had she been? Okay mostly. Nothing much more then last time...not really anyhow. "I've been good. Dad is going to see a house in London sometime this week I think it was. He's supposed to write me once he gets back home." Hopefully he wouldn't like the house. She didn't want to move to London. "Uh I've spent some time getting to know a few people like the younger snakes, and Dante. Him and I worked on the Potions homework together." Very awkward time there that had been!
Hmm. Well he did have a point. "Point noted Mr. Browne. Care to show me how it's done and I'll follow suit?" She smirked playfully gently shifting to the side and bumping her shoulder against his.

Though she didn't seem to mind things, he still felt a little guilty. BUT, there was no time like the present to make up for his absence... he'd be a better friend. Regarding his less than social mood, he hadn't realised it had been so obvious to others, though he guessed it did make sense. So when Hady responded with an 'I know', he didn't think much more about it.
Her news was super exciting though, and Zeke couldn't help but GRIN. London was all sorts of wonderful. "Well good luck, I hope he gets it, and that you like it," he wished he was moving back to London, though at least he was sure he could talk Emily and Gavin into spending more time there in the following summer, he'd be able to find some sort of excuse for it, even if he had to pretend to go to a bogus extension learning course or something.
At her admission of making new friends, Zeke leant backward on the bar, his legs extended out in front of him so as to keep some balance and stop from toppling right over. Interesting. Making new friends was cool, though he would never call Dante a NEW friend. "Dante's awesome," he announced his approval, "what animals did you pick?" He still hadn't done his task yet, but he would... he had it ready to go.
He sat up straight again, a smirk slowly lifting the corners of his lips. "I sure can," he replied, though there was a degree of individualism as far as technique went. "How's your upper body strength?" His wasn't too bad now that he'd had plenty of practice at it, still had his moments though.
Weeeeee! Noelle was dragged to the edge by Sabbie. She grabbed the edge and tried to pull herself up like Sabbie had but the foam blocks had her! Darn blocks! She needed a bit of that strength that Sabbie had.
"So you remember the exact moment I told you?" Noelle was impressed. Even with half the things Sabbie said, this was impressive. "Sabbie, have I told you I'm glad I met you?" Because she was.
Especially because he was willing to help her out of the grip the blocks had on her lower half. "i love my middle name. And you think it fits?" Noelle was unsure of that as she reached up and grabbed his hands. She wiggles out of the blocks and placed her knee on the edge, helping push herself up and out of the blocks.
He chuckled and said “Yeah, I remember. It was the day, you crashed into Professor Dakest and Tom in the Great Hall. But, I noticed you before that, you were scuttling along deep in thought”. He reflected with a smile, “I remember how you had a twig sticking out of your hair, just about here." He reached over and touched her hair.
“Its a beautiful name, and of course, it fits” he said. He was surprised by her doubt, so he said “Every swan must learn to fly, but you’d never say it wasn’t graceful. It’s just born with grace, its in its nature. That’s you, Nells". He took her outstretched hands and helped her to her feet beside the pit.

The second she mentioned London and she say the grin she got from him she couldn't help but smile. "You like London, huh?" She knew he did of course and that he'd most likely wanted to return she so continued with another question or well maybe it was more a suggestion really. "If my dad does get the house and we move, would you maybe wanna visit this summer for a bit? You know if your mums cool with it and all." If he even wanted to that was. He could show her around and all that good stuff.
Hady slid over on the bar just a tad so she could kinda turn a little more towards him when she spoke. "Yeah he seems pretty cool, I honestly don't know him all that well though." It was true. The two of them hadn't exactly spoken much over the years. "A fox and he chose a snake...it uh made for a very interesting interaction." Understatement of the year right there.
Upper body strength? Really? She laughed softly smirking back at him. "I'd say it's decent since I've gotten back into dancing. I'm sure I can keep up." Challenge?

Did he like London? Heck yes he liked London! It had been more of a home to him than Birmingham had ever been, though he couldn't complain too much about Prague, it was neat in its own ways, he just missed the familiarity of England and the fact that the English language was far more accessible to him than Czech or French. "I'm something of a fan," he confirmed despite her knowing full well how he felt about the city. "I keep hoping we might move back, but it seems unlikely." There was always graduation though... or even when he turned of age - not that it'd be worthwhile, he'd still be here for school most of the year anyway.
The invitation though, now that was something he couldn't say no to. "I'm totally up for it, that is, if your dad's cool with it." Emily could be persuaded, that wouldn't be a problem. So long as she had a stomach full of sweet pastries then promises of ALL the O.W.L's would suffice to get him what he wanted.
...
And now... that seemed strange. Hady didn't really know Dante? Really? "He's your House mate, how do you not know him?" like, know him WELL. It wasn't as if he'd recently transferred or anything. Huh. Odd. Maybe it was a Slytherin thing? The potions task was weighing on him a bit, he still needed to do it, and he couldn't decide which animal to try on for size. A fox and snake DID sound like an interesting combination, though. "Interesting is good, right?" he asked, curious.
Swinging his legs off now, Zeke managed to keep a firm enough hold on the bars, adjusting his grip and trying not to let go as he considered Hady's response. "Sure, then copy me if you want, or you could use your legs to help, whatever is comfortable for you." He had longer arms, that was also something to consider.
Alternating his swinging from too and fro, to side to side, Zeke started off by taking long sweeping movements across the first bar, left hand, right hand, left hand, right hand... very much like a monkey. Pausing above a lower bar, he hung there, looking back to see how Hady was progressing.

His simple reply made her grin. Something of a fan hmm? Playing it smooth there Mr. Browne. "Well just think of it this way, in a few years time you can move wherever you want." Ah the perks of 'almost' being of age. Somedays she wanted those years to fly by and others the time just needed to stop. Like all together.
Hady hadn't been expecting an answer so quickly but none-the-less it made her smile. "He'll be okay with it." All she had to do was asking sweetly maybe pout a little and she'd have whoever she wanted over during the summer. It was easy as pie. No worries there.
The snakette shrugged her shoulders. "Obviously I 'know' him but not well. We haven't truly spoken like how you and I do." She shifted over to lightly bump her shoulder against his. Dante wasn't her best buddy. Simple really. Just like how her and Maggie didn't really truly start speaking until this term or well maybe the end of last. "Interesting as in really awkward." She held back a laugh remembering the game of tag.
At first she didn't even move simply choosing to watch him make his way along the bars. It looked easier then it was that much she knew. What was the odds that she could walk across the top of the bars like a balance beam and not fall? Probably not to good...maybe if it was lower down.
Blowing out a deep breath and swatting a lone strand of hair off her face she held the bars and let herself fall backwards to hang from the moving her hands around one at a time. It wasn't exactly easy but she managed it. Letting herself hang a second she then followed him taking the bars one movement at a time, right hand then left, then right, left. She made sure to keep room between them as well and hoped she didn't bash her head off anything.

A few years and he could indeed move wherever he wanted to. “Yeah,” he replied, nodding. He really didn’t know what he’d do though. Where he’d go was one thing, but what he would do when he was there, who he would spend his time with, and all of those big LIFE questions remained unasked and unanswered. As much as he liked the sound of the freedom it had, he’d miss having the comfort of a family home - especially since he hadn’t had it for very long.
BUT, Zeke shook the thoughts from his mind. NOW was not the time to be contemplating his future. In addition to that, it surprised him how quickly Hady replied, confirming that her dad would be okay with it. If she said so. “Cool.” So it was pretty much settled then? IF she DID move to London?
He still didn’t understand. He was sure he’d be able to identify his House mates socks in a lineup, and even those he hadn’t spoken to he felt he knew quite well simply through observation - except for perhaps this years new recruits, but there was still time to get to know them. “Huh,” he mused out loud. And then, it was interestingly awkward??? “Awkward how? You’re not giving me much to go on,” he questioned. Unless….
….
Unless it was awkward in another way?
Perhaps there was a reason why she didn’t elaborate to begin with.
Nevermind. Zeke quickly moved on, swinging further down the bar, just a bit.
It was good to see she was still right behind him, she hadn’t fallen, and neither had he…. yet.
He moved all the way down until his bar disappeared into one of the columns holding them up. They needed to get on another line. Swinging too and fro, Zeke built up momentum enough to allow himself to hook a let over the bar in front of him, doing the same with the other leg before letting go. Now HE was hanging upside down. He was close enough to the pillar bit, that he could reach around it with his arms and managed to get a one-handed hold on the next bar.
Here went nothing.
His legs sliding off from the first bar, Zeke did his best to pull himself up onto the other, but didn’t quite manage. The force of the drop of his legs had him ALMOST slipping off the bar altogether, but his fingers (aching) remained clinging to it for dear life. “Uuurggghh…” he moaned as he lunged upward to grab hold with both hands now. He was secure, and Hady was on the other bar.
…
“Need a hand? Maybe you should climb onto the top of the pillar and come across that way.” Because he only JUST thought of that NOW.
Let your light shine || Be the sun || You're important. Always.

"That was not a fun day though. I felt hoooorrrrible." Noelle stated, pouting at the memory. "I did meet you that day and you're my best friend. So I guess it evened it self out. " Although now she was touching her hair and making her blush. "What did I tell you about that??" She said softly.
She needed to quit blushing. She was eleven. Her mum would not approve!
"Lets try the rest of the obstacle course?? I bet I could beat you!" Noelle said with a wiggle of her brow.

He was secure, and Hady was on the other bar.
…
“Need a hand? Maybe you should climb onto the top of the pillar and come across that way.” Because he only JUST thought of that NOW
Hady nodded once. "Good it's settled." For some reason even though she didn't want to leave where she'd lived for the last twelve or so years she was okay with this. If it meant Zeke would be able to visit it wouldn't be so bad. Maybe she'd even enjoy the move.
Most people that got to know her would know that she was observant normally. That didn't mean however that just because she knew someone favorite pajamas meant she knew their pets name or if they were an only child. Knowing someone and actually 'knowing' someone were two different things. "Let's just say a fox and snake playing a game of tag isn't a great idea neither is piggy back rides especially when one falls on their face and nearly lands on the other." Hady replied nearly laughing now that she recalled what happened. In all honesty it was funn but at the moment it hadn't been.
Keeping up wasn't an easy task but she wouldn't let on that her arms were sore a little. She was used to dancing, like handstands, cartwheels and that sort of thing. Not dangling from bars and moving around on them it wasn't easy and she had to give Zeke props for it.
Blowing hair off her face she grumbled when it wouldn't get out of her eyes and tilted her head back to give it a shake. Better. Moving her hand forward she stopped and hung there as she watched him move around the pillar. His shaky movement and near fall made her nervous and she frowned a little. "You okay," She questioned more concerned on him then what he'd asked her.
It had taken a moment to click in with her that he had suggested something and she finally nodded. Yeah she'd need a hand but if he helped her they'd both fall. And if she tried to get onto the pillar then she could pull him up of he wanted. Yeah good idea.
With some effort Hady pushed herself up until her chin was above the bar. Grabbing onto the top of the pillar (only just barely) with one hand she pulled herself upwards with that arm and pushed herself upwards on the bar with the other. When she could she raised her leg to set her knee on the bar and grabbed the pillar with both hands. A bit wobbly in her movements she managed to get both feet onto the bar while holding onto the top of the pillar before sitting on it. "Wanna sit up here a second before continuing?"

A fox and snake playing tag?……… how would that even work exactly? Zeke had a hard time imagining it, but it was an amusing thought nonetheless, as evidenced by his smile. He might have even paid to see that. The piggyback thing also struck him as odd, kind of, but it made sense if one was considerably smaller than the other. Kudos to them, trying to have fun in animal form. All he knew was that he wanted to do something where he’d get to stretch his legs and RUUUUN. “Fair enough,” he decided. At least she could laugh about it now, and it didn’t sound all too awkward, not really.
He’d heard sounds of discontent from behind him, though it didn’t sound as though Hady was struggling. Maybe she was? As he settled into position and turned to face her, adjacent from where she was hanging, he couldn’t help but grin at her question. “I’m fine,” he assured, “I’m a tough cookie, I don’t crumble.” Not that easily anyway - or more to the point, not today.
Her nod at needing assistance was recognised, and so he would do his best to assist her anyway that he could. From where he was though, there was little he could actually do, so he watched on as she followed his advice. It did look easier, and now he was almost kicking himself that he didn’t do it that way too, not that it mattered, he’d made it after all.
“All good?” he asked as she seemed to reach the top, sitting down on it. He figured her response would be along the lines of YES SHE WAS GOOD, FINE, GREAT… and so the invitation to join her in sitting as almost excused. ALMOST… because, well, she seemed fine, HE was fine, and he wanted to get going, so he had been about to say “Naa—“ahhhhh…when he paused mid no. What if she really wanted a break and that’s why she’d been asking? Quickly shrugging, Zeke nodded as he propped a leg up beside him to help him stand, one hand on the pillar until he was up-right… from there it was simply a matter of pulling himself up beside her, which was easily done.
The pillar wasn’t particularly this, but it was thick enough for two to sit comfortably, which was something.

She was trying not to laugh about it now. Laughter while dangling from bars didn't seem like such a good idea. Knowing her luck it would end in disaster and she'd hit the floor. Not something she intended on doing. "It probably doesn't make much sense but it's something you had to see. And trust me landing face first two or three times in less then an hour isn't pleasant." How she wasn't all bruised on her face she didn't know but she was thankful to whatever gods made it so she wasn't.
Hady giggled at his comment. "Cookies do so crumble if they're dropped! So no falling, not today!" That was an order there Zeke. No getting hurt.
Sitting a top the pillar she waited for his reply. The Nahhh portion meant he was okay and wanted to keep going? That was fine with her and she'd climb back onto the bars and follow again. Before she could move though he was maneuvering himself up onto the bar and sat beside her. Well alright then. Hady grinned at him. Just so neither moved and knocked the other they should be good. "So tell me something now, how have you been? I mean seriously?" It was her turn to ask now.

Noelle was yet again surprised by his answer. She grinned at him as she now stood by him. "You remember all that?? That was almost two months ago! " She had to count to see how long it had been.
Then she took off. She was going to win.
Sabbath chuckled, she'd roused on him. Well, he'd only said he'd try not to make her blush - he'd never promised and, actually, he loved it.
So, the obstacle course then. He shook his head, laughing at her eyebrow wiggle and let her get a bit of a headstart before he took off after her. Was she about to tackle the giant scramble net?
'And though she be but little, she is fierce'. He thought to himself with a grin.

Sense? No, it didn't, not really. But he COULD see the comedic value in it, of course. "I wouldn't mind seeing that, didn't get it recorded did you?" No photographic evidence? If they could get their hands on a pensieve then her memory would do just fine.
But BAH!
Cookies didn't need to crumble. Not even when dropped. Had she not learnt anything in over three years of formal magical education? "Obviously I'm a charmed tough cookie, indestructable, and if I did crumble then I could always be repaired." The only thing he would have to be concerned about if he were a cookie, was being eaten, because he would be the most delicious chocolatey cookie of them all. Duh.
From this spot he could assess the way they needed to move in order to come to the foam pit, where they could simply swing and drop into its plush depths. He was thinking of this when Hady questioned him. It wasn't even a matter of how he'd been... that was a question he wouldn't have questioned normally... but the fact she emphasised 'seriously' had him narrowing his brows in thought.

"Seriously?"
...
Zeke shrugged.
What was he supposed to say to that?
"Alright, I guess..."
Record it?! Heck no they didn't record it. Now that she thought about it though she should've cause it probably would be really funny to watch. "Nope. That hadn't occurred to me then but maybe I should've", she shrugged her shoulders. To late for that now.
Hady blinked at him before laughing. For some reason she found this really funny. "Alright, alright you win. You're a tough cookie." She wouldn't argue. Not over something so silly as being a 'cookie'.
Calming down quickly from her laughter she followed his gaze to the bars. Whenever he was ready to move she'd follow, no questions asked. He was probably the top person here at the castle that she trusted, maybe even more so then some of the professor. Shh though no one could know that!
"Yes, seriously." Nod.
No lying. She'd know.
Shifting slightly to assess his movements she shook her head. "Zeke...", she began but then stopped. Rather she slid an arm around his shoulders and have him a half hug since anything more would most likely result in balance loss and them hitting the floor below. "I think you know what I'm asking about but if you don't want to talk about it we don't have to and I won't ask again." The whole Maggie and detention thing. She knew Zeke. If he didn't want to speak of it however she wouldn't. He had her word on it.

So it was settled, photographic evidence would have been awesome, and secondly, he WAS a tough cookie. Yep. He was winning right now, and his smirk said as much. However, it wasn't maintained as it seemed they were going to have a 'serious' conversation.
He waited for her to elaborate. Inform him on why she felt he had something so significant to share... but her comment yielded more questions than answers.
What did she think he was thinking? Because honestly, he wasn't think much except that he was. Was this about him not being around? About the Apparecium? Cause yeah, he heard. Or was it about the detention? It made sense for it to be about the detention.
He didn't shy away from the hug, but he didn't know how to return it in this position without feeling awkward. In the end her rest his head on her shoulder briefly before pulling away.

"Detention was... well it was what it was."
Words, he was so good with his words.
The smirk on his face told her he was proud he was winning this conversation. All she did though was smile at him. It was an easy silly win so she'd let him have it.
It seemed to take him a few moments to do anything at all. Had she confused him by assuming that he knew what she meant? Or was it the hug that made it awkward? Did they not hug anymore...she wasn't entirely sure. When had their last hug been? Hady was just about to drop her arm from around him and explain what she meant when she felt his head on her shoulder. It wasn't a long gesture but it was something. It that brief moment before he pulled away she lightly brushed her fingers through his hair in a somewhat friendly yet possibly caring manner. She cared, whatever it was bugging him or not bugging him she cared. Even if it wasn't said out loud.
Dropping her hand to her lap as he moved away she studied his face. "It wasn't horribly gross?" She gave a small hint of a grin before her face was blank again. She knew about the toad kissing and the toad exploding as well. There was a lot more she knew. That she wanted to ask even only she wouldn't. However she couldn't get things out of her head now. Thanks a lot Maggie.

For a moment he was happy to just sit, quietly all the while enjoying the fingers in his hair. It reminded him of.... .... yeah never mind.
Gross? HA! It wasn't exactly the opposite of gross... whatever the word for that was.
"It wasn't too bad," he decided, as far as the grossness was concerned. He could laugh about the toads now, the rest of it he was still quite happy to pretend didn't happen. "We had to kiss toads, there were heaps of them, but only one was charmed to turn into a key for each of us," he informed casually. It could have been worse, there could have been dung involved.

She would've continued running her fingers through his hair only it was new to her. Was it something he had minded or didn't he care? Were they that type of friends were she could play with his hair and it would be fine with him. Hady didn't know. Hugs were hugs. Piggyback rides were another thing, so was arms around shoulders and hand holding as they walked around which she had noticed hadn't happened once since the end of last year when they were on the water slide thing. Hair though, that was different.
Hady was broken from her thoughts when she heard him speaking her head snapping up to give him a confused look. Exploding toads wasn't gross? Or didn't it explode on him too? That could've been it. "I see." She nodded slowly taking in what he had said. So far it matched up with Maggie. "Did you get to leave as soon as you found your key or did you have to wait?" She wanted to know WHY he had left Maggie there in the dungeon if he didn't have to.

Even though they were 'catching up', Zeke couldn't help but feel as if he was in an interrogation room about now. It wasn't so much that Hady was asking questions, but again, it was he type of questions she asked. What did it matter if they could leave straight away or not? But more to the point... "Why would we have to wait if we had the key to the door?" Legit question. It made no sense. "Nah, Flamsteed said we just needed out key."
...
"Why?" Seriously. WHY was she asking him this?
Head tilted to the side to see her better, his hazel eyes locked on Hady. An answer would be appreciated.

Why had she asked that. Honestly she wasn't entirely sure and the look in her eyes most likely showed that. Between what Maggie had told her, what the Apparecium had implied and what she knew about Zeke she was just trying to make sense of it all. The thing here being though was she had no idea why she even cared. It had nothing to do with her and yet she had asked anyway.
The way he was looking at her with those eyes she knew she needed to answer. He deserved one. Letting out a breath Hady lifted her own hazel eyes to meet his ones as she spoke quietly. "You're being completely honest with me so I'll do the same." Zeke always got the truth out of her even if she could lie and completely get away with it she wouldn't. Not with him. "I read about your detention in that stupid gossip page thing...and then um I spoke with Maggie that night after you both got out of detention I guess.." she paused to look down at her lap a second fiddling with the pendant around her neck before her eyes returned to his. "She mentioned that you left you here and that didn't sound like something you would do....so I er...I guess I was wondering why." Yeah. Sorry Zeke. And now she felt completely stupid for even bringing it up at all. She knew she should've left well enough alone.

There were a few things he'd come to learn about people in his insignificant-in-the-grand-scheme-of-things 14 years - of which he could only really remember about 8 years with fairly good detail. Firstly, that when people sat idle to 'chat' it was usually a serious matter. Secondly when they had persistently unusual questions, it was usually serious. Thirdly, when someone emphasised the need to be "honest" or "true to" you that things were going to get real. Just WHAT, was Hady on about?!
"Uh huuuuhhhh," he prompted uncertainly. This was perhaps the Gryffindor's worst fear, serious talks.
At first though, he didn't get it. Okay, yes, there was the article or whatever. And she'd spoken to Maggie, that was, normal, right? Then again he didn't know WHAT was discussed, so there was an element of concern clouding that one. But in the end, he was quite honestly perplexed.
"Do something I wouldn't normally do?" he questioned. And just what was it that he wouldn't normally do? Kiss toads? Have detention? Swim in swamp water.. well okay, that one was plausible. And then it clicked.
...
"She told you I left her," he stated, somehow managing to tie in everything Hady had just referred to. But, she wanted to know why?

"Because she wasn't being fair." That's why.
Finished speaking her gaze dropped once more to her lap. Could she just leave now? Please. This was supposed to be fun, a chance to spend time with Zeke. Not question him. This wasn't supposed to happen and yet it was. Hady wasn't supposed to care and yet she did. Right now she just wanted to leave. Go up to her dorm and lay down on her bed to forget this whole thing.
What was she thinking bringing it up and mentioning Maggie. She was in the middle of mental scolding herself when she heard him speak. "Leave someone behind." She stated quietly with a barely there shoulder shrug.
Slowly she nodded in reply to his comment without looking at him. Maggie had told her. How else would she have known? And there was an answer. A simple one at that. "Okay." That was all. Okay. Maggie had been unfair therefore he had left her there. That's all she needed to hear.
Lifting her head to look at the boy sitting beside her she sighed. "M' sorry Zeke. It's not my business and I won't ask you anything else." Sorry. A word she almost never said out loud. It felt strange. Everything felt strange now.

So, the obstacle course then. He shook his head, laughing at her eyebrow wiggle and let her get a bit of a headstart before he took off after her. Was she about to tackle the giant scramble net?
'And though she be but little, she is fierce'. He thought to himself with a grin.
Noelle was totally going to hit the net. She was going to climb it, if she could make it through the big holes.
She looked behind her at him. "Come on slow poke!" He was totally letting her win. He might also want to put his hair up. It might get in the way while trying to climb. The foam blocks seemed to have messed it up quite a bit. She could only imagine what her hair looked like. She didn't care though. She was having too much fun.
Reaching the net, Noelle grabbed onto the net and tried pulling herself up. These gaps were huge!
