And rescue! Dot was relieved as a cushion slid across the floor to land just a foot or so away from her current location, and nearly halfway between herself and the next closest pillow. Thank you... random Gryffindor! Dot waved cheerfully at the girl with a big smile. This made them basically friends now.

Dot sprung from her cushion and landed on the next, wobbling dangerously before she managed to find her center of gravity again. That was a close one! It wasn't as if she'd actually die if she fell off the pillow, but who knew how horrible the contents of those cards might be? She might have to embarrass herself in front of her classmates.... death was preferred.

From her second pillow, Dot eyed her options. She couldn't head straight forward toward the opposite wall, but she could head sideways to her left and then straight-ish from there? And the pillow to her left was now quite close. She hopped to it without any trouble.

Game on! Janelle knew what her first move would be. She had her eye on a cushy chair a few feet away. Her first instinct was to bounce scoot her pillow closer to the chair, but she decided against it. It might work, but there was also the chance that she would lose her balance and fall into the "hot lava". That was not in her plan. Nope

So the question was, should she stretch or should she jump? Jumping seemed like the best option to Janelle. The chair wasn't all that far away and it was a pretty big target. After her mental preparation was done, Janelle did a standing broad jump-like jump and landed squarely on the pillow's seat cushion. OK, that went well. So far, so good, but she had only made one move. She still had a loooong way to go. Next stop, the couch.

Paulina judged that the cushion located slightly forward and to the left side was a good place for her to make the first jump. There were others that she could have chosen, but she didn't feel too confident when it came to making jumps.

Better to be safe than sorry.

Putting all she could into it, she leaped off of her cushion and onto the next, almost falling into the lava in the process. That had been a little TOO close for comfort, but at least she was a little closer to the back of the room. The question was where to go from here...

Paulina looked around to see what was the best course of action because she didn't want to jump on any cushions that were otherwise occupied or were about to be occupied. A collision probably wouldn't be a good idea and she didn't want to get hurt.

Maybe she could try the one right in front of her; it was a little further away than the other one had been, but she could probably make it across with no real difficulty. Thinking that there was nothing else to do but go for it, Paulina jumped.

Rooney had been SO sure that he was going to get this all right. He was CERTAIN he was going to make that jump properly and not end up in the lava. Instead, he was now a slave to the lava and was never going to be able to get out of this. Sure, he'd seen his fellow students dancing and singing and -- ugh, would they please stop that? Some of them really needed a lesson in stage performance, pitch and everything else. Reaching for an index card by his feet, Roo read over it and thanked the high everything that it wasn't anything to do with singing. Instead, he had to tell a knock knock joke.

And he was going to do it with style, aka tell it to himself and with himself.

Leaning to the left, he grinned. "Knock, knock." And now a lean to the left, looking baffled in the direction he was just leaning to. "Who’s there?" Yes, who was there? Who was at the door, other Rooney? Back to the left he leaned, and laughed a little before he delivered the punchline. "Somebody too short to ring the doorbell!" HAHAHAHA. Like Mama! She was short.

But oh ho. That had been funny, had it not?

Where was Miss Charlotte Kettleburn when you needed someone to laugh at your jokes? Surely SHE would find it funny...? Right...?

Well, Gwen would lose her balance for sure. She quickly slipped off the sofa into a crouching position. Well, what could she do next? She grabbed hold of another couch and, slipping a little, managed to pull herself up without touching the ground. But in the crowded classroom, she was jolted a little bit, and her knees touched the floor.
Gwen had always seen Hufflepuffs as people who were adaptable to change, but also who encompassed all three other houses. So she took a little bit of her Slytherin and Ravenclaw sides and continued scooting on her knees. After all, Moxley only said you couldn't step on the floor, and stepping only meant the use of feet. If she kept her feet up in the air, she could pass this activity.

Okay, turning around. Oliver scooted back along the length of the couch, away from the back of the room. He'd managed to make it all the way there, so it shouldn't be that hard to make it back, right? He could just take the same route except in reverse, but that was boring. Too easy. There had to be at least a little bit of a challenge. Plus, some of the cushions had been moved by the students so he couldn't take the exact same route.

Oliver climbed from his couch directly onto another one, but then he was presented with a problem. Where was the nearest safe object? He needed something to be able to step on so he did not fall into the lava. He couldn't just jump to a cushion. The surface area was not large enough for him to be able to properly land after a long jump. It looked like he was in quite a pickle.

There was an armchair slightly to his right that he might be able to jump to. He had to try, because it was his best option. Oliver crouched on the arm of the couch and leaped through the air. Would he make it? Yes, Yes.

Nope.

Okay, Cinna get you balance game back on track. No sliding off the cushion to a sudden death. Dramatic much? She needed find something else to get on or at least get adjusted on this cushion before she fell into the lava.

Ah couch, ahoy! Getting a better balance on her feet she slid a one foot then the other. Now that she was balanced better she could reach the couch. Taking a huge leap she belly flopped on the couch.

Mmm. Now where was she going to go from here?

Whelp now she was marooned on couch island. Comfy on a huge couch but stuck. There was nothing close now. How exactly was she going to get off of here? She got to her feet to get a better look around and an idea.

Dot was prepping to jump on toward the next cushion in her endless track to the far side of the room when a small Slytherin body fell in front of her eyes. Into the lava. GOODBYE, OLLY. GOODBYE, SMALL HUMAN. "Olly, nooooooooo! This life is so cruel and you were so young."

Dramatic death scene, okay? Why not?

And now she was going to focus on that cushion. Dot leapt across the space, a perfect jeté, if she did say so herself, although she slipped sideways when she landed and fell face first onto another pillow. Oh, look! Dot was a lava bridge! Now, how did she get up?

Scanning around she didn't see anything close enough to jump on. So the only thing she could think to do was to toss these cushions on the couch overboard and make a path off.

Cinna picked up a cushion and tossed it off into the lava river then the other one and tossed it farther out from the first. Now all she had to do was jump from couch to cushion to cushion. After that she could just go from there.

Leaping from the couch to the cushion all froggy like. She made sure she was balanced well enough to jump to the other cushion. Then jumped to the other. Oh firstie down! She seen (Ollie) land in the lava. Oh no.

She looked around for her next move. Only seeing Dot caught between two cushions. Tilting her head slightly at the younger girl. Now was her time to save the girl, yeah? "Hang on I'm coming?" As she hopped on the cushion closest to the Slytherin. She had not idea how to keep Dottie bridge from falling down but she would figure out something.

This one should be easy. Moving from the chair to the couch should help Janelle make up some ground in her attempt to cross the room. Knowing that being overconfident was never a good thing, Janelle did not rush into things. She gave the chair a bounce or two, to see if she could get a trampoline effect going. It bounced a bit, but she was going to have to do most of the work when jumping to the couch.

Janelle had an idea. She carefully stood up on the arm of the chair. Then she jumped into the air and came down onto the seat cushion. Rebounding off of the pillow, Janelle was able to jump up and kept her momentum moving forward. Now she was starting to enjoy this. This was fun. Janelle knew that she had to keep her mojo going. She did not want to come this far, just to fall into the lava.

She made it. With relief, Janelle landed on the couch and took a moment to catch her breath. She had to plan her next move and this one was going to be a little tricky. "Think positively", she thought. "You can do this."

Flail! Adi was flaiiiiiling!

This was it! He was going to fall into the lavaaa! AHHHH! Flail, flail, flail! It was more like watching a bird without proper air to lift off and was flapping its wings in a desperate attempt to get off the ground. Only thing Adi wasn't a bird. But hey! All that arm flapping actually did some good! He suddenly found himself regaining his balance so that he was able to step further onto the chair.

PHEW! Crisis averted!

Adi took off again, this time jumping down on a blue cushion before continuing on towards a green then an orange then black one. Wheee! So far, so good!

She was still standing in the yellow cushion wondering where to go next. There's a chair near by or she could jump over to the red cushion located on her felt side. and its a very risky jump because the cushion was too far she didn't know whether she's able to reach that but if she manage to get her feet there, she's closer to the finish line. Maybe she should just risk it.

Deep breath.

One...Two..There...AND.....JUMP!

She managed to get her right foot on the cushion and trying to maintain her balance with her left foot. OH NO! She's going to be end up in the lava. Her left foot almost touched the lava but she managed to maintain her balance and her left foot now already in the cushion. She was safe. Both of her feet was in the cushion. No index cards for her. Nope!

PFT.

And they said this wouldn't be easy.

It was MORE than easy. It was EASY AND PEASY. It was easy peasy. And Zander Adair totally had this under his belt. LOOK AT HIM GO! He was totally making this whole cushion jumping thing look like second nature. A complete natural. A--

Woah. Ahem.

That was a close one. Right. No one saw that right? Heh.

Ahem. After struggling to keep his balance, the Gryffindor finally let out the breath he realized he had been holding in. FALSE ALARM PEOPLE. The Head Boy was still okay. But he did have to stifle a chuckle at the others who had already managed to fall. Poor kids.

The chair that was her goal had thankfully not moved. Nor had it been rudely stolen from her by anyone else, but Brooklyn still had a glare set aside for anyone who tried. No, this was going to be her chair, as soon as she got up the courage to jump to it. Now that she was on the cushions instead of the previous chair, she was going to have to take a different angle when it came to her jump. She didn’t like being back at basically her normal height, either. The part that she was keeping absolutely to herself was that she actually had no problems using another student as a launch pad if she had to. All they had to do was stop in front of her, because there was no way she wasn’t getting to the back of the room. She was already over halfway there, or at least she thought she was. She couldn’t quite tell.

Since nobody had innocently chosen to help her out, she had to make the jump all on her own. Rocking back and forth slightly on the balls of her feet, she worked up a bit of momentum. A bit of bouncing happened as well, before she made a giant leap toward the seat of the chair. She’d figured that as long as she got most of her upper body onto it, she could pull her legs up easily before they hit the floor. As it was, she ended up sliding on her stomach slightly, crashing into the seat back. Once again, not as pretty as she’d wanted it to be, but it still counted. She’d avoided the floor, and once she got to her feet and stood on the chair, she could see exactly how close she was to the back of the classroom. It was a lot closer than she’d thought.

THE FLOOR WAS LAVA AND PEOPLE WERE DROPPING LIKE FLIES.

It was super, super funny, though, as each person who touched the floor ended up doing something kinda goofy or silly in front of everyone. Soph paused to watch them from her place high up on the couch, her next moves already plotted, but she mostly just wanted to keep watching everyone else. Moxley was probably loving this, wasn't she? They were all putting on SUCH a good show, especially a couple of those Slytherins. Buncha goofs, really.

She loved this, though. She loved this whole class. She... was going to miss it. So much.

Sophie took a long moment to reflect on this, to watch her classmates and enjoy their reactions, their energy, their pizzazz - and, because she was blocking the way of someone else by just standing there, she got bumped aside and ended up falling right to the floor.

...Whoops? Ah, well. Squinting downward, Soph picked up an index card and... pay Moxley a compliment? Please. Soph didn't ever have to be instructed to do that. But, to comply with the card's wishes, the Head Girl grinned a bit deviously over at the professor and waved a hand to get her attention. "You're the most enchanting professor in the whole school, professor. There's no one more dazzling than you." And, after blowing the woman a flirtatious kiss in good humor, Soph hopped back up onto the sofa to continue her journey, ready to spring back into action and continue along properly.

SHE COULD DO THIS.

Rooney laughed a little when Miss Sophie Brown said nice things to Professor Moxley and then gave her a HUGE thumbs up because did she KNOW that all those things she said were also true about her. Besides the Professor part, BUT she could be one of those if she only clicked her fingers. Maybe he would start thinking of her as Professor Miss Sophie Brown, Head Girl of Hogwarts and Sunshine of the World. Sunshine that hadn't laughed hysterically at his joke like Miss Charlotte would have. Still, she was still so wonderful and sunshiney.

Retrieving himself from the floor LAVA, Roo moved to sit on the big cushion that he had been intending to sit on before the fall. Finally seated, he started to wiggle his bottom and shuffling the cushion towards the next in his path. When there, he gave himself a cheer and crawled across to the next cushion before jumping onto the nearest arm chair to his left. The way he landed was a little unstable and the chair tilted backwards, crashing to the floor -- BUT he stayed on it, clinging to the edge of it.

Why was this so bad for him?

WHY WASN'T THIS SO EASY?!

She this HOT LAVA thing was not as easy she thought it would be. Maintaining her balance after jumping around the cushion was not easy. How did the muggle kids do that? Probably because they have smaller body so its easier for them to move around. Speaking of moving around, she need to move to another furniture. This time Candice spotted an armchair not far from where she was standing.

And safe! Sigh. She slowly went towards the edge of the armchair and got ready to jump toward a green cushion. Then moving towards the pink cushion. And the white cushion. She's getting the hang of this now. Next her destination was the couch. The couch was higher than the cushion she was on right now so she need to jump a little bit higher.

JUMP!

She was almost didn't make it but she did. She was standing on the couch but she was standing very close to the end. MAYDAY! MAYDAY! SHE WAS GOING TO BE END UP IN THE LAVA..!! And....DOWN SHE GOES!

Hady's hop from a red cushion onto an orange one was miscalculated and the snakette wobbled backwards on the edge her left foot slipping, having her step back into the 'lava' rather then completely fall over. With a deep sigh she knelt down and picked up a card off the floor.

Do ten jumping jacks before she could continue.

That she could do. It was better then having to sing which she wasn't the greatest at oooorrrrrr dance. Now that she didn't want to do.

So she used her foot to nudge to a cushion over a little to have some more room before she began her jumping jacks. One..two...three... Hady continued on counting quietly to herself until she was finished. TEN!

On ten she leaped up onto the cushion that she had slipped off of in the first place and continued on with the game. Leap. Hop. Jump!

See all those kids dying in the hot lava was a result of their lack of ninja training. Maybe Bentley would have to seriously open up a ninja class or something because this was disastrous.

Anyways. He had just jumped on a green cushion so noooow it was time for a red one! And of course he'd jump on a blue then yellow and that would take him three quarters of the way. Everything would be perfectly co-ordinated.

Maybe he could even be super stylish and wave to Rooney while he jumped. That was quite risky if you thought about it, since there was hot lava on the ground and all.

Okay ready!

"Roooooneeeeeeeeeeh...wooooah!!!"...Steady!..Steady......"May day!!"

Angel was enjoying this game and now she was feeling confident of not hitting the Lava, she looked at the next place and smiled maybe she should try and land it backwards, turning around so she was facing away from the next place, she was heading towards she decided to jump without knowing where it was.

Angel turned around just in time to see that her jump was a little off and now she was heading to the side of where she wanted to go, maybe she shouldn't have tried to be too cleaver.

Angel sighed as she landed straight into the Lava. Now would she turn to someone like Darth Vader or a super hero thanks to someone saving her like she had seen in a few movies. Angel thought it would be cool if that happened in real life.

Angel know had a punishment to perform, she then saw that it was tell a joke.

Angel didn't know if it was good enough or not but she had done the task so what was next?

Darn it!

She's end up in the lava all thanks to her horrible balance. She thought learning a skateboard help her with her balance but apparently her balance still crappy. Now, lets see what she has to do. She grabbed an index card hoping that she get an easy one. She read the card and it said

She need to go back to the starting line and start all over again????!!! NO WAY! She thought singing a song aloud to the class was bad. This was THE WORST! With that Candice went back to the starting line and made her first move towards the brown cushion. Then jumping to the green one and the black one. Apparently her second try was much smoother than her first trial. She hoped it stayed that way.

Adi paused, standing on a blue cushion as he surveyed the room. He was almost to the front now. Just a few jumps would take him there. His eyes found the cushions closest to him and he quickly mapped his exit out of the lava pit before taking off again.

Jump, jump, jump, leap, leap, jump!

He was a toad like Guster! Hehe! All he needed was the right skin and the long sticky tongue. Oh and a little shrinking. Anyway, the Hufflepuff was just about to be out of the 'pit'. Just one, two leaps annnnnd done!

Woot!

He had survived the 'lava'!

Angel got onto the seat she had been trying for, she was still annoyed with herself and she realised that she had to stop trying to be clever if she wanted to do this because if not she was sure she would end up in the lava again and she didn't want that to happen, no way was she going to try that again. She wasn't going to go backwards at all it was important that she remembered that and she made sure she was.

Angel looked around for the next place to land, after the fiasco of the last attempt she decided to just simple jump from near the edge, she knew she didn't want to jump too close to the edge otherwise the seat would just tip over and she would be back to square one, she got as close to the edge as she dared and then she jumped and landed on the next seat this was much more like it.

Hady swung her arms forward springing from the cushion up onto a recliner. Wasting no time at all she set her hands down on the top of it and leaped over it onto a couch that laid behind it a few inches as if she were leaping over a crouched down friend playing leap frog.

Landing on her knees on the couch she crawled across it's length before hopping down onto random cushion that was just next to it.

Hop. Leap.

And-and!

Hippity Hoppity! One more large jump and the snakette landed safely in the center of a small green cushion on the other side of the room! She'd made it across the 'lava' and now all she could do was catch her breath and wait to see what they would be doing next. Of course until that moment came she would be watching the rest of her friends and how they were all doing.

Angel was starting to get the hang off this, she was moving from one place to another fast and she was sure she wasn't going to fall off, right until the moment that she did, and she was so close to the end. She looked and saw Hady had made it which was great, she had one last jump to get right, but that was if she didn't get what she was expecting to get.

Sing to the class.

Angel was relieved it was just this card.

Angel did the action as well to the song, she was sure she was looking weird whilst she was doing it but for now she had to finish this off, getting back on the one that she had fallen from, she had some how managed to jump to far, she got back on and the she jumped straight to the finishing line, how awesome was this she had finished the course.
