The Muggle Studies classroom is clean and inviting, sunlight streaming through the windows and casting a warm glow over the entire space. Perhaps this is why Professor Moxley seems to be in such a great mood. The brunette is perched on the corner of her desk at the front of the room, her outfit indicative of today's topic for discussion and her happy face sticker placed on her shirt, showcasing her current mood. Hopefully you're familiar with the new classroom rules because the Moxinator fully expects you to rock a mood sticker soon, as well.
The room is organized a bit differently this time around, the tables creating a big U shape, with Moxley's desk acting like a crown at the top. Once you've greeted the professor, why not sit down and relax a bit? You'll need your energy for today's lesson! That's a promise.
Janelle sighed with relief when Colt volunteered to be the bowling ball first. That would give her a few minutes to get her head together and prepare for the rolling that awaited her. Hopefully it wouldn't be too bad........hopefully. Her sister was the dancer. She could spin and turn forever and not get dizzy. Janelle, well that was another story.
As she and Colt arrived at the front of the line, it was their turn to bowl. "Come on Colt, I'll help you in", she said. Grabbing the "bowling ball", Janelle held it open so that Colt could get inside. "Comfy?", she asked, knowing that he couldn't possibly be comfortable. Then Janelle closed the zipper on the ball and waited a moment for Colt to get himself situated.
"Alright, here we go!" Janelle began to push Colt toward the bowling pins. She wanted to push as fast as she could, but she didn't want to make him too dizzy. Trying to center the ball yet keep a good roll going was a bit challenging. Careful not to go over the foul line, Janelle gave Colt a final push and off he went. She kept her eyes on the ball, trying to will it to knock down as many pins as possible. Janelle cheered, "Go Colt, go!"
Colt was prepared for this. He nodded and let Janelle help him in. He climbed into the ball and thought this was SO cool. He smiled when he was in the middle of the inflatable ball and was trying to stand up. Man this was gonna be hard. Wait a minute there was places to put his feet. He stood there and then he heard Janelle close the zipper. He was gonna do this. This was gonna happen. "Yup let's go!" he said and he felt her push him and he felt her gaining momentum. She was going fast, this was the speed he wanted. He was not gonna get dizzy that is for sure. He saw the foul line the teacher was talking about. He leaned his body to avoid it and he was sucessful. Whewwwww that was CLOSE!
He saw the pins coming into his view and he hoped to knock some down. He ran all the way to the pins and he knocked some down! He saw all the ones he knocked down aftermath of spinning. He held up four fingers for Janelle to see. He knew she probably wouldn't be able to hear him. He did good for his first attempt.

Good someone else had some experience it the matter of bowling. Although this wasn't a topical bowling now was it? Nope. This bowling looked a thousand times funnier than any other bowling she'd ever played before "I haven't played this kind of bowling before either.
She was going to be the ball!! Yes! Not that she would have minded being the pusher she was a strong lioness after all. "Awesome. We can trade off if you want to." You know Tia's arms could get tired or something or She could find some inner bravery somewhere and want to be the ball. Then again Cinna herself could get dizzy and hurl. Then Tia would have to be the ball.
She crawled into the ball. Comfy? It was almost like being in a big round ball pool floatie. Well that's basically what it was. "Alright Tia, give me a push. FOR THE PINK LADIES" RAWWWR!CAWWWW Yah.
Alright good so Cinna was cool with being the ball and the girl climbed in way too enthusiastically. Zipping the seventh year up, she nodded at her encouragingly. "I think we're supposed to switch places every turn anyway. Probably because Professor Moxley doesn't want anyone getting sick or something." Though she was sure she'd be sick anyway after just one turn as the ball.
"Alright. Ready?" Resting her hands lightly on ball!Cinna, she eyed the pins ahead. She had to run the ball at the pins but not too far because then Cinna's ball might deflate on her and her new friend could suffocate from the plastic before she had a chance to re-inflate.
Deep breath.
Running with Cinna!ball as straight as possible, she closed her eyes and released her grasp as the momentum kept the ball rolling. Hopefully enough to knock at least one pin down? For the pink ladies?

Was she fine. Yeah, not throwing up after being rolled down being a human giant ball was such a good sign, right? "I'm fine, don't worry." The younger lioness said. Then she rolled Candice to the lane using all of her strengh and.... Just two pins. Not that bad. At least she did knock the pins.
Ava then ran to the lane and helped Candice out, she also brought the trash can for... you know. In case if she's gonna throw up. "Crazy, huh?" She said to the older lioness. "It's my turn again now." She traded the place with Candice and entered the giant ball.
Okay, now she understood how the younger lioness felt when she got out from the ball. It felt like the world couldn't stop spinning. "Crazy don't cover it. I think." No Human Bowling for her after this. This was the first and last time she's doing Human Bowling. She took a moment to gather herself up before she helped Ava onto the ball.
She pushed the ball with all her strength. She hoped Ava didn't get too dizzy inside the ball. Candice saw the ball rolling towards where the pins were. "GO AVA!" She was pretty sure her partner couldn't hear her but who care, right?

That's was what she was thinking too. So cinna wasn't going to hurl. Or it was unlikely that it was going to happen. She was so ready for this. She climbed into the ball excitedly. "Ready!" So ready. She was born ready. This was going to be so fun. Yes she kept on thinking that. But Yes it was going to be a ball. Get it?
"WEEEEEE!!!" She couldn't help but to giggle the whole way down the line. She was honestly worried that Tia would make a fowl and the ball would deflate but Tia was a great pusher. And This was awesome, even more than she thought it would be as she got down to the end, she seen that all but one pin got knocked down, Tia was pretty good. They just missed one. FIVE POINTS FOR THE PINK LADIES! YESSSSS. Okay Tia your turn.

Did Professsor Moxley provide anti-dizzy potions here? Nope? Perhaps after this class, so many students were gonna visit the healer to get some. After she helped out Candice out from the ball, Ava replaced her being into the ball. And now... it's time to roll.
"KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!"
She screamed out loudly, but nobody could hear her, right? Based on the first try, closing her eyes made she felt more dizzy. So the younger lioness chose to keep her eyes opened. Could she hit the strike? SHE DID! Ava really wanted to jump but she's still trapped on the ball. She managed to come out and.... @______________@
But at least she didn't throw up.... yet.
"Your turn, Candice!" She said and helped the older lioness into the ball. Once she's ready, she rolled her over. How many pins that they could knock down now?

SPOILER!!: Ethan
See why AJ's cool? She didn't even questioned his decision for her to go first. Trust was key to win the game, you know? Stretching his arms, Ethan nodded along and prepped the ball. As soon as the Gryffindor was inside, the Slytherin zipped the plastic sphere for her, and gave it a good pat to make sure that AJ was ready to go.
"All right, Champ. I'll push you slowly first...and I'll pick up speed when we near the foul line." Okay? OKAY! "Here we go!"
PUSH.
Ethan was careful to coordinate his steps with AJ inside so she could adjust to his pace. Once coordination was established, the seventh year picked up his pace...and gave AJ a good, solid push before stepping inside the foul line giving his partner the right amount of force for her to take a strike.
Come on, AJ. Give us a solid six!
Man, they hadn't even technically started the game yet, and their teamwork was already out of this world. No complaints from this lion. Win or lose, they were great. But, um.. no losing, okay? She sat still why Ethan zipped her up. Not sure if he could see her or not, she gave him a thumbs up to show that she was ready. Either he could see, or he was a mind reader because they were moving.
"Good plan, Ethan." No need to get dizzy before you needed to. Not that he needed to worry about that because the contents of her stomach were safe. She didn't get queasy easy.
They were picking up speed. "WHHHHEEEEEEE." This whole human ball thing was awesome. Only thing was that she needed to focus because this was not just for fun. She needed to knock down ALL of the pins. Focus was needed. Her game face was on. The pins were in sight. She tried her best to stay on course. AJ was athletic by nature, and there wasn't a sport she wasn't good at.
Contact was made. BOOM. Four pins had been knocked down. She was totally bummed that it wasn't all of them, but not bad on her first try.
Angel was about to say something and Hady figured it was about her experience being a human bowling ball. Only she had suddenly stopped speaking and the next thing she knew she was being zipped into the ball. "I'm ready!" She agreed when Angel said to experience it herself.
Ready. Soooo ready!
As Angel began pushing her down the lane it was a moment of dizziness for just a second. Luckily she didn't mind it and she considerated on keeping a straight path. Easier said then done though as she felt herself slowly veer off to the left.
No no no. It was to late though as she slid into the pins taking down just two of them. This wasn't a strike but at least it was something. Hady waited until Angel came to help her out so they could switch places.
Angel looked at Hady as she went and took down two pins. "Great Job!!" Angel was happy with that, they were both doing ever so great. "Keep it up." Angel was sure that Hady was going to do better next time, she went and helped her get out of the ball and she looked at the Pins.
"We can still get a strike." Angel was sure Hady could do it. "But it's my turn now." Angel thought it was going to be awesome being the ball again, she waited for Hady to be ready.

Human BOWLING though. Sharing the same elation and excitement as Zander, Sophie gave him a smug sort of nod of approval. Yes. YES. They HAD this. Even if they DID alternate back and forth, she was probably a good weight and he'd be able to aim her really well, and SHE was a good AIMER so she could aim HIM well, too. They were gonna be ALL SET HERE.
"If you insist," she grinned, certainly not going to argue when they were BOTH going to be able to get their turns anyway, and when it was their turn, Soph tugged Zander over as she ducked her way into the ball, fully expecting him to zip her up. "Try aiming me slightly off-center. If I hit the middle pin, I might leave the two on the ends in the back, so if we hit just offside, it SHOULD create a domino sorta effect and we can get ALL of 'em." Strategy, they had it.
Sophie Brown was READY TO GO.
Zander was very glad that Sophie shared the same enthusiasm he did. That meant they were a shoe-in for this competition. He was SURE of it. Plus with Soph's aim and Zander's... Well.... Okay maybe he didn't have the best aim, but he had been working on the whole bicep, tricep, forearm thing. So hopefully he at least brought some momentum to the table. But anyways, enough of that. He was ready and so was Sophie Brown which was apparent when she pulled him towards the set up.
Of course he was there to help her get into that ball contraption thing, which he had never used before... And he had been bowling a few times, okay? "Off-Center, got it," he wasn't really sure how that was supposed to work, but Sophie was the Ravenclaw here so maybe her unconventional method would do the trick? He let her get in herself and then helped zip her up so that it was all proper.
And now it was time to ROLL. Literally.
He rolled her towards their alley thing, making sure to peek around the side of the ball to get a clearer view of his target. Plus, he needed to make sure he knew where the foul line was. Didn't want to trip that up, y'know? So then he rolled Soph back some so that they could gain some momentum... Which he attempted to do with a RUN towards the alley and riiiiiiiight before he could cross the line he gave her a GIANT push, doing what Sophie said and not going for the direct middle, but instead letting her roll slightly off to the one side.
And then he watched.

When Angel came over to get her out of the inflatable ball she accepted the help getting to her feet. She was a bit wobbly for a second but she was laughing. That had been epic! "I wasn't expecting to shift to one side near the end but that had been really fun," She told the older girl grinning at her. They still had a few more go's yet to knock down even more pins. Hady was sure they'd do much better in the turns to come.
"We sure can, cause you got this!" The snakette helped Angel into the ball and zipped it up tightly. "Ready?" She waited until she got the okay before taking a few steps back and with a small running start began pushing Angel the bowling ball quickly down the lane letting go at the last possible moment only to slip and land on her butt on the floor laughing while calling to her partner, "Remember you got this!"

Keeping her fingers crossed, she hoped that they would get some pins knocked down on this try. Once the ball made contact with the pins, Janelle smiled. They got four pins down. Not bad for a couple of Human Bowling rookies.
Rushing down to the bowling ball, Janelle unzipped it and held the sides of the makeshift door open so Colt could get out. "Good job", she said to her partner, reaching to give him a high five. "I hope I can get some points for us without throwing up, that is. Janelle started to move the ball back toward the starting line. It was her turn now, ready or not. Once they were set to try again, she took a deep breath and began to climb into the inflatable ball. Putting on a confident face, she said, "Here goes nothing".

Its her turn now. The Gryffindor got inside the ball and let her partner zipped her up. Maybe the second time would be much better than the first time, right? Before she knew it, she started rolling.
Nope, she still feel dizzy. Everything was spinning. The she felt like she hit something. And FOUR pins were down. Its not a strike but its still better than her first rolled.
Now someone please give her some anti-dizziness potion please because she felt like she was about to throw up.

Woot four more pins! Hady grinned a little to herself. That put them at eleven so far which wasn't to bad. Remembering she was still on the floor Hady finally got to her feet and made her way to Angel.
"Nice going! You knocked down another four," She told her dark blue shirt wearing teammate. Hady unzipped the ball and helped Angel to her feet. "We're doing pretty good and this time I'll knock down more!"
Hady positioned herself inside the bowling ball and waited on Angel to get ready. She was good to go now and prepared to take those pins down!

She then started to run with the ball, trying to stay dead centre because that is where they needed to be right, she wasn't sure when she released it, if it had just gone slightly to the right but she would find out soon. "Come on Hady!!" Angel cheered.

She'd gotten him in the right direction and stuff and there was only really one way to go so that was the direction he pushed for....except....except he felt like the ball wasn't going straight anymore! jdbsajkbgfraugieu! No! Thiiiis way, this way!!!! Blaise pushed against the wall of the ball with everything in his little arms. Whether it was working or not, he couldn't be certain because suddenly everything was spinning and he'd lost his footing, falling onto the forward end of the ball. This had him rolling just as much as the ball did until he finally felt impact with the pins and came to a stop.
That. Was. EPIC!
Blaise laid on his back inside the ball for a moment, not sure he remembered how to move but that was so amazingly brilliant and he couldn't wait until it was his turn again. Finally sitting up, he could see they'd managed to get four pins! COOL!
The boy climbed slowly from the ball, trying to catch his footing then rolled it back to the top of the lane. "YOUR TURN!"
Eagerly Pauina watched as Blaise made his way across the lane towards the pins. Hopefully he would manage to get at least one pin down. Who cared if they got a strike so long as they had fun? Well...her partner had fun. She still wasn't really looking forward to being a ball.
Could they just pretend that she had her turn and stick with her being the pusher?
Sadly it didn't work that way, but at least they knocked down four pins. "Awesome!" Paulina said clapping her hands. That meant that it was her turn to go. Meeeh. "Here goes nothing..."
Eyeing the ball, she carefully stepped inside, knowing that Blaise would send her off once he saw that everything was ready.
Zander was very glad that Sophie shared the same enthusiasm he did. That meant they were a shoe-in for this competition. He was SURE of it. Plus with Soph's aim and Zander's... Well....
Grateful that Zander helped her inside, Sophie gave him a bright smile and an encouraging thumbs-up, glad he was going along with her plan of off-center. Or... at least that he'd TRY to, but they WERE at an advantage here - Sophie was light and tiny and thereby undoubtedly easy for Zander to push, roll, and aim, right? She would certainly go wherever he intended, so as long as he didn't step over the foul line... they should have been SOLID.
"YOU CAN DO IT," she called to him, because ultimately this was all on him and she was just meant to sit in there and look good. So when he started rolling her into position, Sophie wiggled to get comfortable, and... OFF SHE WENT.
Spinning, spinning, spinning-- CRASH!
She felt the pins tumble over as the ball made impact, and... FIVE PINS DOWN. There was one on the far side that hadn't fallen, but they'd gotten FIVE OF THEM. FIIIIIIIIIIVE OF SIX.
"ZANDER ZANDER LOOK WE GOT SO MANY." Could he even hear her inside the thing, which was now rolling back to him? ZANDERRRRRRR. "D'YOU WANNA GO NEXT?" If he did, she'd get out, but if he wanted she could GO AGAIN TOO. UP TO HIM.
It wasn’t falling out that Brooklyn was concerned with. She was more determined to keep enough control over her trip in the ball that they could score more points. Besides, falling out couldn’t be that bad. She figured Professor Moxley had taken precautions against that sort of thing. Lessons weren’t supposed to injure them after all, and she’d be out of the ball if she fell out. Nobody could blame her for that.
Except Norah had finished zipping it up, effectively entombing herself in a big plastic ball. Which honestly did remind her of the bubble wrap from the mail lesson in a previous term. At least her bracing had seemed to work. She hadn’t gotten into a completely awkward position as her partner had begun rolling the ball. Of course, it seemed way more careful than she’d been, almost as if there was a fear of going over the line. That was just silly. It wasn’t that hard to stop running.
She’d actually slid sideways a bit as her journey had started in earnest, spinning sideways instead of upside down. Her arms had kept her from crashing down to earth as she’d finally tipped upside down, closing her eyes until she’d felt herself right ways up again. And seeing the pins right in front of her. She tilted forward, almost as if she could roll the ball merely with her body weight. Which was stupid since she hardly weighed that much. it had worked enough that she’d stayed on a slightly straighter course though, skidding sideways the tiniest bit and taking out the four pins toward the left side of the lane and finding herself on her side again once the ball stopped rolling. Squirming a little, she at least found the zipper again, but she waited a second before she even thought about trying it.
Four pins! FOUR PINS! That was two whole more pins than last time. Norah threw her hands in the air and gave Brooklyn a double thumbs-up, not entirely sure that the Slytherin could even see her. A thumbs up didn't always need an audience. Or so she'd decided.
She sped over to where the ball had stopped. It was her turn again. REDEMPTION time, aw yeah. Not waiting for Brooklyn to ask, she unzipped the ball in one swift motion, grinning at the sound it made. "Good one!" Norah turned right back around again and sped to the front of the lane. Waiting for your turn was a lot harder than it should've been. She still wasn't very good at the patience thing. Patience was boring though, so she wasn't too torn up about that. It was going to be a STRIKE this time, she could feeeeel it. Or maybe she was just hungry. Or BOTH.

Adi seemed to handle the second roll a bit better than the second roll, taking less time to recoup. That and he didn't collapse on the floor upon exiting the bowling ball. When his friend mentioned the last go, it hit Benny that not only did they have one more roll to complete down the lanes, but that by their order, it was his turn. Lucky him. He did manage to chuckle as the Hufflepuff rattled off encouraging phrases to him in preparation for the roll.
"I'm not being changed into a ball..." the Gryffindor warned as he climbed into the inflatable ride with Adi's help. No trasnfiguration or magic in general allowed in this class. Not to mention he drew the line on inanimate objects. And he certainly wasn't going to taste it. Bleagh...rubber. But he was going to feel it, of that he was sure from the other two rolls.
Benny braced himself as Adi began, finding himself rushed even faster down the lane and picking up speed. "Woah...." he said inside as he rolled, finally released to shoot down the rest on his own. When he came to stop, he wasn't entirely sure of his success with the pins until the room finished spinning. Was that four or five lying there?
THIS LOOKED SUPER FUN BECAUSE ELLERY LOVED DOING WEIRD SPORTS THINGS.
She allowed Dante to zip her up. It was nice and cozy in the ball. She liked small spaces, she was NOT claustrophobic at all. She tried bouncing a bit, but it didn't really work, so that was sad, bUUUUT then Dante was trying to throw her.
…
"WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! NEEEEEEEEEEEEERROOOOOOOOOO." Ellery was yelling in delight as she veered towards the pins. She tried to control her direction, but it was a LOT harder than she had originally thought. She came really close to hitting some pins, but she rolled past them at the last second.
"IT'S OKAY WE CAN RECOVER FROM THIS." Pep talks for the win.
No, Ellery. you were suppose to HIT ALL THE PINS. Maybe even one if he was feeling less optimistic. But to get none. Sigh. Well he guess he should not be surprised. Got to keep your expectations low. Even on activities like this. He waited to Ellery came back because he need her help on getting him into the ball part.
"Come On, Ellery. I need your help getting into the ball thing and of course we will recover from this. We are too awesome not too"
It was true.
Just don't tell it go to your head when you are pushing.
Please.

Still on the little adrenaline rush from a while ago, the boy was shifting restlessly from one leg to the other while he waited for her to get into the ball. He was gonna have to be careful about that line they shouldn't cross. Only question was HOW he was gonna watch where the ball was going while watching the floor for the line?
He didn't want to mess up or anything, not especially since Paulina had already gotten them four pins.
"Okay, ready!" Blaise said, once she'd gotten inside the ball. The first push barely had the ball moving but that was 'cause he'd underestimated it. This time Blaise pushed with everything in him cause he had to move the ball AND the girl inside the ball. At first it didn't seem like they were getting anywhere but then the ball picked up speed and soon it was running away from him.
"Wait!" Blaise tried chasing it but had to stop narrowly avoiding the line.
Oh man...oooohhh man. Hopefully...it...didn't end too badly? At least she was HEADING for the pins.

But anyway, onto the game! Davie watched with big blue eyes as Moxley inflated things and then informed them that THEY were going to become the balls. Oh no! He didn't want to do that! He was very happy not rolling anywhere at all ever again. No no no no no no no thank you, ma'am. Fortunately, he had a partner, right? And he could be the pusher and his partner could be the energetic ball that knocked down all their pins, right???!
Right. "I'll be the pusher, and you can be the ball," Davie answered. "Here, I'll help you in and everything." Wasn't he so nice?
Olly didn't think that the bowling they were doing in class would really help them learn the rules of real bowling. In normal bowling, the people weren't in the bowling ball. But it would be fun, so he was fine with not really learning the rules.
"Okay!" He was excited to be the ball. With David's help, Olly got inside the large inflatable ball. It was so cool! He grinned and gave his partner/pusher a thumbs up. He was ready. As soon as David was ready to push, they were so going to win.

Ellery made her way back to Dante pretty bummed but still SUPER PUMPED. As she zipped him up into the ball, she gave both herself and him a pep talk.
"Okay, so it is WAY HARDER THAN I EXPECTED to aim for the pins, but you WILL have more luck. I will push you hard and you will knock ALL the pins down! You got this! I got this! We both got this!!"
She surprised herself by not being competitive with the other teams. Maybe Hogwarts was changing her.
Or, as she pushed Dante as hard as she could, skidding to a stop before she crossed the line, maybe not.
