Oh that much Benny had figured out. Maybe he should have rethought the allowing Adi to levitate him first in the first place. Although this way did have the added benefit of allowing him a chance at payback should anything go wrong or weird. Of course well within the lines of possible accidental mishaps for the sake of the class.

"Funny..." he mused rolling his eyes, picking up a bug or two and trying to hold them. "You do realize I get to levitate you after this....right?" Actually had to by Myer's directions, So don't blow it and make him do stuff while trying to hold you in the air. Or keep him up longer. It wouldn't be so funny with the shoe on the other foot. Another few bugs away and one accidentally dropped.

"And yes...I'm ready to come down." So he could deposit these bugs in his gloved grasp and away from the tree of which they had been harming by their presence.

“Yep, I do. I also know that you wouldn’t drop me or bump my head against a branch or anything so I’m not worried.’’ Confidence and trust in the boyfriend. Adi had it all. He didn’t mind any mini pranks pulled on him now to give him a scare because he was one hundred percent sure he could handle it all.

Annnnd the lion was ready to get down Ali starts singing Backstreet Boys’s ‘Get Down’ at this point xD! Adi moved his wand to set Benny down carefully. “See? Got you up and down safe and sound.’’ Right! So it was his turn to go up now. “Hang on. I’ll be right back.’’

Time to move on to the activity, and Paulina was excited to work with the trees some more and help them feel better. This might be her only chance to work with gravity resistant trees because she didn't think that there was a way that she could afford them. Maybe later when she had more money she could get some for her garden.

That would be so lovely.

She needed someone to work with and then she could get started. "Anyone want to be my partner?"

Plant Healer...

He would be playing Plant Healer today. At least it was a step up from composting, far more pleasant. Though he was more interested in application of plant use as opposed to caring for them... but oh well.

"I will," he replied, giving a Puffer girl a nod. Hi. Howdy.

Benny raised a slight eyebrow at Adi's response to his veiled threat as if debating if it was true or not. "You better hope you're right," he remarks in return, his voice betraying a touch of jest as he hung there, the Gryffindor grateful as he began to decend back down to the ground. Though he only relaxed fully once his feet were back firmly on the ground. He might trust Adi but he prefered to control the situation when he was up in the air. "Thank Merlin."

About to go and work on levitating Adi this time around, the seventh year paused as the badger told him to and walked away. He watched the best friebd quizzically, until he noticed Adi go for the fertilizer and returning with some. "Right...hold on." Look at Adi...look at tree roots...focus in bringing one to the other. Thankfully the roots werent as far up as he had been. Finally he took his shot.

"Mobilicorpus!" he cast with a flick of his wand at Adi. He raised a foot or so off the ground. "Mobilicorpus!" he spoke again with another flick to strengthen the spell. This time he gets higher and closer to the roots as he directs his floating boyfriend.

Paul watched as many of the students separated into pairs, and he smiled because they at least didn't look bored? He thought getting up on their feet might do the trick! He found all parts of Herbology FASCINATING, but of course, he could remember finding the note taking parts of class when he was a student so tedious and dull.

He just had a thought, though...

WHAT IF SOMEONE WAS SCARED OF HEIGHTS? Paul hadn't thought of this! Oh dear! He was now rolling through his thoughts in frantic panic, hoping that no one was now dreading his activity!

"If anyone still needs a partner, I can assist as well!" he smiled, despite his internal anxiety, and waited to see if anyone needed him.

Davie didn't think the trees looked sick. He hadn't even noticed the little bugs in the trunk when he came up to water them. This just showed how down in the dumps he was.

Turning away, Davie almost ran into Oliver, who had been at his tea party and had been his partner in Muggle Studies before. They worked pretty well together. "Hey Olly," he greeted the first year with a bit of a sigh, no offense to him. "Need a partner? You can levitate first if you want." Davie didn't really feel like flying, or doing anything fun. This was why he wasn't partnering with his BFF, because he didn't want to bring her down.

Someone wanted to work with her!

Paulina sent the boy a shy smile. She was sure that his name was Zeke and she had seen him with Hady so she was sure that they were friends. "Sure thing. Sounds good to me!" They would do a great job looking after their tree and she couldn't wait to get started.

Honestly she would have loved to split all the tasks with him if it had been allowed, but for one thing they wouldn't have time and for another she had no idea how much he liked the subject. At any rate they should probably get started now so that they didn't fall too behind.

"Do you want to do the spell first? Or for me to?" Paulina honestly didn't really care which way they went because both tasks seemed alright to her. The maintenance part just sounded more fun.

It was main activity time and Janelle's ears perked up. She listened to see what the professor had in store for them. She was surprised when she heard that the cool trees were sick and in need of healing. Plant healing wasn't exactly her strong suit, but Janelle was game to give it her best shot. She could trim and water and fertilize, hopefully she'd do a good enough job. The levitating another student part........now that sounded like fun.

Looking around, Janelle tried to see who might still be in need of a partner. She saw a lot of people who had already paired up and her prospects were dwindling by the minute. "Anyone need a partner?", she said rather loudly. Time was of the essence so Janelle needed someone to work with ASAp.

Mental snort. Adi knew he was right. He was a zillion percent sure he was right. He merely shrugged at Benny. "We'll see if I am.'' He could feel his boyfriend toying around with him. Adi would just let him. Hur hur. "Soooo funny,'' the Puff said in response to the 'thank Merlin'.

Adi watched Benny eye him and then on the tree's roots and then back again. "Hanging on already!'' Well, he was hanging on to the fertilizer anyway. He grinned as he's lifted up a bit and then even higher on Benny's second attempt. "Look at me go!'' And he wasn't even thinking about getting dropped or bumped. Nope! Not even when he came close to the roots.

When he got close enough, Adi used his already gloved hands to apply the fertilizer to the roots as Benny moved him around to get all the roots. Not too much fertilizer was applied but just a bit that the guy thought would be enough. He used his knowledge of fertilizers and plants to determine the amount.

Wheeee! This was sure to help the tree recover!

Oh good, so it was kind of a personal preference type deal as to which type of tree was easier? Well that made a whole lot of sense. And the next part of the activity sounded kind of exciting! They were going to play doctor to sick anti-gravity plants and got to do this in the air! Well one person; they needed to do this in partners in order to actually get into the air.

Tia's eyes glanced around the room in search of a partner and it seemed like many already were partnered and starting work. Well then, maybe she could just ask Professor Myers to levitate her into the air? At least she could trust his spellwork.

That was when she saw fellow sixth year over there - only it looked as if he was trying to make himself not seen? WHY in the name of Merlin would he not want to partake in such an EXCITING task? "Yo, Yoongi. You feeling alright there?" Cause he kind of didn't look so hot and she supposed she could find someone else if need be. Like she was pretty sure she saw a younger claw or two still in need of a partner.

He didn't know Puffer girl from a bar of soap, and would have asked her name and all had she not distracted him with the actual purpose of the task - or at least, sort of.

Did he want to do THE spell first?

"Um... should we figure out what we need to do to our tree first?" he asked, wondering if they should go ad grab some fertiliser before attempting to do anything. "Unless... what did you have in mind?" Older girl, older brain, more wisdom... at least that's how he figured it worked. She had a plan right? She knew what all they had to do? Because the way Professor Myers explained it, all he knew was he was AIMING and completing TASKS... though which of them they would complete remained to be seen.

"Hi Davie-uh, are you okay?" Olly had started with a regular, cheerful greeting before he heard the sigh from the other boy. Was there a problem? Did he not want to be partnered with Olly? But then why would he have asked? So it was probably something else. But Olly was not really good with figuring out feelings, so he didn't know what was wrong. Hopefully it wasn't too bad.

"You mean be levitated? I would love to go first!" That was all he wanted to do. Be levitated! Of course, he was going to have to do something while he was up there, but that was a problem for later. Just a few moments later, but still later. "Ready?" Olly sure was. As soon as Davie started to levitate him, he could go see what was wrong with the tree.

Paulina scanned the greenhouse to see which tree was the best one for them to work with. "I think we should tend to that one," she finally said as she pointed to one that had drifted rather close to the roof. "It isn't listing to the side much and that will make things easier." Hopefully he agreed with her but they could work on another tree if he preferred.

But what did the tree NEED? She bit her lip as she tried her best to inspect it from where she was standing. "Well, from what I can see it needs some fertilizer. There are some dead branches and bark from the looks of things. I'd also bet that there are insects inside." Water probably wasn't an issue because it clearly had been watered shortly before.

Should he have been taking notes? Because Zander Adair was definitely not taking notes. Call it his seventhyearitius or something. So yes, Myers was partially right. Zander Adair was falling very, very ill. Ill with a disease that was truly crippling and debilitating. Made wanting to do anything very difficult. Symptoms include increased laziness, a desire to float through the entire term, and major bed head. It was getting worse and worse by the day. And today it meant he wasn't taking notes. He'd try to retain the information though... Kind of like how the antigravity trees, he'd make the information stick to him by association or something.

Were partners really necessary though? Because that meant he'd have to move. Which is why it took him so long to go looking for one. He would just take the easy way and partner with Soph... But everyone was probably sick of seeing the Head Couple working together... So.... He was gonna branch out. You're welcome. All this and STILL sick with SeventhYearItus the boy was truly an inspiration.

Truly iconic. So motivational. You go, Adair. Four for you, Adair. Jk. You are still a Monkey Brain, Adair.

What was that? Did someone need a partner? YES. Zander volunteered as tribute he-- Actually, did Janelle mind walking over to Zander? Because he was still very ill right now. Ill with Seventh-Year-itus. Ahem. Totally a real thing. "I do, and I can levitate you first if you want?" Also, please come over to his workstation because Zander wasn't moving, apparently. Thanks.

And we have a taker. When Janelle heard a voice responding to her plea, she turned to see who it was. Zander! She was two for two with the male student leader/partner thing.........and he was willing to lift her up first.......and he was trusting her to lift and not drop him. "You won't be sorry Zander", Janelle said as she walked toward the seventh year. "Thanks for agreeing to work with me." So now Janelle officially had to do a good job because she would not let her partner to be down.

Since she was going first, Janelle made a quick decision about which task she would do. "I think I'll start by cutting some dead branches. Taking out her wand and holding it steady, Janelle prepared herself to be lifted. "OK Zander, I'm ready. Give it a go."

Zander had worked with the girl before... And had sat by her before too... But man, he never realized the spunk. She had spunk. But ahem. Anyways. No, THANK YOU JANELLE for working all the way over here. Because honestly, Zander wasn't about to walk to her. Oops. But this was perfect. She was willing to walk here and she was thanking him for it? What. Even. Ravenclaws, man. Ravenclaws. "Oh yeah, of course," not quite sure what the thank yous were all about, but yeah... Of course?

He watched the spunky Ravenclaw as she began to decide exactly what approach she wanted to take.

Okay, dead branches, he could lift her to do that. "Sounds like a plan," the Head Boy lifted his wand, looking up at the tree they were going to work with first before casting a spell. So she wanted dead branches, which meant they'd be better off if he had her lifted towards the left side. It looked like there were loads more dead branches over there. The other side had some too, but he was assuming some other pair would get to that while they worked on this first side.

"Ready?" Hopefully she was because Zander wasn't about to wait much longer. Oops. "Mobilicorpus!" he pointed and lifted his wand towards the side in mention earlier. And YES, success. Hopefully she wasn't afraid of heights or anything... Speaking of which... Was Yoongi gonna be okay with this activity orrrrr....?

Questions. Zander had them.

Janelle was doing the cutting thing though, right?

People were starting to move on around her, but Brooklyn still had her tree claimed. She might’ve snuck a peek over at some of those who had actually gotten started on their plant healing, but she was expert at subtle by now. Just as she still felt she was expert at asking for partners when she never really said anything. At least, it worked for her nine times out of ten, including now. Although she was hardly surprised when Hady had appeared and joined her with a nod. Of course. It was a pairing they already knew worked, so she didn’t see a reason to question it. Nor to decline it, as she nodded in return. Even if neither of them looked particularly into the lesson, they’d get it done. That was inevitable.

“So are you hoping that there isn’t a lot wrong with our tree too?,” she asked after a moment, letting her blue eyes flicker up to the tree high above their heads. Obviously they had to decide who was going up there to check first, but that was a question that didn’t need to be asked. By now, she felt like they had a nonverbal method of communication with each other. It always seemed that way, anyhow, and therefore after that initial random question she merely waited. She could do either one. All it needed was the confidence in herself and her capabilities, and Brooklyn didn’t have a problem with that.

That one, yes, that one... he was totally down with THAT one. Zeke nodded to show his support for this idea. Mmmm. He wasn't sure what she meant by listing to the side, but he figured it was as good a pick as any other.

He peered at its roots, tilting his head one way and the next. "I guess that's a start then. Did you want me to check it for bugs?" He didn't mind bugs, but knew that most girls did - which wasn't to say ALL girls, or that it was a GIRL thing... Circe knew he wouldn't hear the end of it if he said that out loud. Was Amur here? He peered around quickly before looking back to his partner. Verdict? Shoot him up to get his hands dirty?

Zeke agreed with her choice. Perfect. He also wanted to check the tree for bugs, and Paulina was totally fine with that. "Okay, great." She could have done the job herself, but then she could do any of the tasks. Insects didn't really bother her.

"Here goes nothing..." Paulina wanted to get this spell right because otherwise he couldn't do his part of the activity; and more importantly - he might get hurt otherwise. After taking a deep breath she was ready. "Mobilicorpus!" She tried her hardest to aim it so that he was in a good position to do what he needed to.

They would see and they did, for now, as Benny levitated Adi to his first post on the tree they were working on helping. They could joke and fool around all they wanted, but the truth was he had to put more effort into it. You didn't see him using non-verbals on every little spell available to them in classes. The seventh year was watching his boyfriend work but most of the attention was on keeping him there up in the air. Adi was busy fertilizing the tree while he was doing his best to keep his magic steady as he occasionally moved the Hufflepuff around to get at different stuff.

"Where to now?" he asked when he figured enough of the fertilizer had been added to the roots, at least from his perspective. And did Adi need to come down to put anything down or something. Fill your best friend in, Adi. He knew his friend but couldn't totally read minds.

Janelle was kinda excited about being lifted into the air. Could be lots of fun, yeah? Taking care of the tree and having fun while doing it. Who said there couldn't be fun in learning?

Since Zander seemed ready, Janelle tried to focus on the task at hand. She went into concentration mode and reviewed the spell she would have to do, in her mind. "Yes, I'm ready. Hit it." And with that, Janelle started to rise slowly, getting higher and higher until she was even with the tree. "Wheeeee!", she said as she went up. "This is fun!" Not afraid of heights this one. Nope. She was enjoying every minute of the ride so far.

Taking a moment to inspect the tree, Janelle found more than a few dead branches that needed tending to. Already holding out her wand, she pointed it at the first dead branch. Carrying out the appropriate wand movement, she saidm "Diffindo". Ok, she hadn't quite thought this through because the now severed limb went tumbling to the ground. "Heads up", Janelle cried, as a warning to those below. She certainly did not want to take out her partner, after he had been nice enough to work with her.

Lesson learned, Janelle moved on to the next branch. This time she was more careful. "Diffindo, Diffindo" More branches were cut, but Janelle was ready for them. This time, Janelle grabbed the cut tree branches in her free hand. Over and over she Diffindo'd the dead branches until the tree was looking better and better.........at least on one side. "Hey Zander", Janelle yelled down. "I'm going to drop these down, OK? Stand clear and make sure everyone else does too." She was sure that there was a magical way to do this, but for now, she was just going to drop them. The branches fell to the floor with a clatter.

"Hey Zander", Janelle said again. "While I'm up here, I think I'll give the tree some water........if you're OK with that. Then it will be your turn." With that statement. Janelle gave Zander a little eyebrow wiggle. Was he scared? Not to worry. She would never let him fall.

A plan, they had a plan.

He had his wand in hand, because one never knew what they might encounter, and he didn't particularly trust anyone not to drop him - not that he couldn't handle the small fall, but it could be easily avoided or at least the impact minimised if he was ready for it.

When Puffer girl cast the charm, Zeke fixed his gaze on the tree above and searched it with his eyes as he rose up to meet it. Instinctively, he held out a hand to grab hold of a branch to steady himself, and as he did so, he noticed the hollow that was there just above it. From where he was, he could just peer into it. "A little closer," he instructed, moving his wand from his preferred hand to the hand he was using to support himself, and then sunk his arm into the hollow right up to his elbow.

His nose wrinkled a little as he felt crawly bits, with lots of legs, some of them squishier than the others. Larvae? Scooping up whatever he could, he did what he supposed he ought to do... get rid of it... by dropping it down to the ground below.

And ... whoops? "Heads!" he called out, a little late.

He went back in to get the rest of them, the process not taking too long as the hollow was small - not the type to be house owls or anything.

So far so good. No one paid attention to him. Which he on the one hand didn't mind and on the other he did. Because he WANTED attention but DIDN'T at the same time. Ugh he had it so difficult right now. But if he did attract attention he would have to do that activity which, by the way, he wanted to do , he wanted to help out and earn some points as well but he also wanted to sit back and do nothing. Why did it have to be floating trees?!

He heard the Professor asking if anyone wanted his assistance and he wanted to but also didn't. Merlin's beard he was bad at making decisions wasn't he? But before he could say anything, he was distracted by a familiar voice calling his name.

Turning around, the Gryffindor saw Tia, his dueling opponent from some time ago. "Huh? yeah i'm fine?" he frowned, waited for a few seconds and bit his lower lip. He was EVERYTHING but fine. He bit his nails nervously as he looked up at the tree. "It's just ...it's uh..its a bit high isn't it?" he laughed though it wasn't his usual cheerful laughter.

"Alright let's cure this floating ...high...in the air...tree!" and he marched towards it, faking bravery. And trying not to cry. Cause he's NOT a coward.
