| | Herbology Lesson I - Composting Professor Paul Myers is sitting in the front of the Greenhouse, where there are four tables lined up parallel to each other as well as a table up front, where Myers is leaning casually on said table. The table in the front is longer than the rest because there are different bins on the table holding various things; there is one bin containing trash that Paul collected himself from rubbish bins, the paper products. Another holds the food trash from the Great Hall; a third one holds leaves, grasses, and twigs; a fourth holds things Paul has gathered from the lake; a fifth holds different containers of…..manure.
The smell of the Greenhouse is probably none too pleasant.
Paul has his gloves on, ready to go, as he greets the students when they walk in. He expects that they had made themselves familiar with his classroom rules, especially the two special ones.
The blackboard behind Paul is empty for now, but will soon be filled up(hopefully). The weather outside might be a bit cold, but in the Greenhouse it is nice and warm without being too stuffy. “All right everyone--we’re going to be taking some notes and then getting...dirty. So PLEASE--make sure you have your gloves with you today!” He calls out as his bright and shiny faced students waltz through the door. “Get in a circle for our meditation--” Because you just CAN’T start class without first clearing your head . OOC: Hi guys! Kate here. Make sure you read all of our rules and stuff. [[SS ones AND my own]] I will know if you have not(; Please note that this is NOT the first Herbology class of the year; your student has been attending lessons with Paul for months now. The following happen every class: *Paul begins class with a meditation, with the students holding hands in a circle. Your student should know by now that this is expected of them at the beginning of class.
*Everyone must say something nice about a student when they walk in, preferably someone who has not had anything nice said about them already.
*There is a basket of flowers Paul keeps in the front; feel free to have your character come up at any time to grab one, and give it to another student if someone particularly touches them emotionally or anything. I include this so that you are better able to determine how to play your character in this lesson! Thanks, guys! I will start the lesson in about….15 or so hours. <3 |

| Post 2 Shoe!Girl │ Rebel Ravie │ Confundus Queen │ RP Addict Now that all her non-stinky materials were layered and moistened, all that was left was the manure. Brooklyn really wasn’t looking forward to that part, but now that she couldn’t escape it she scrunched her face up underneath her sweater collar and pulled the bucket closer. After she’d made absolutely sure her gloves were still secure, since there was no way she was letting any bit of manure touch her hands. As it was, she felt like she’d probably be burning the gloves after the lesson was over. She had other pairs after all. She didn’t need to keep contaminated ones. That was just stupid.
Once all her preparations were done, she tilted the bucket over her carefully layered flowers. Maybe if she was lucky she could avoid touching it as much as possible, but of course she had to nudge it to slide out of the bucket. Of course it couldn’t be that easy. Stupid knarl manure. Once it was free of the bucket and on top of everything layered in her crate, she found a piece of wood nearby that she used to spread it out into an even layer over top of it all. Nobody said she couldn’t get creative with it all, and if little bits of wood stuck, that’d just add to her compost.
Once the manure was spread out, she picked up the watering can again and made sure everything was still damp. She wasn’t about to fail now, not after she’d managed to nearly avoid dealing with the manure at all.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Norah Kittredge Seventh Year | Post 1 Lil' gooz | Sarangel | Junior Dweeb With the rest of the instructions all announced, Norah turned to her crate with a grin. Oh yeah. Time to do all the fun stuff. She arranged her buckets on the table, before taking a gloved handful of potato skins and laying it over the layer of straw. Once that was spread evenly, she sprinkled a layer of pine needles. On top of the pine needles went a handful of orange pulp, which only got a few squishes because there were far more important things going. Sliding her gloves off ehr hands, she picked up her wand and cast "Aguamanti," letting the water sprinkle over all the layers. Norah aimed her wand at her gloves next, casting a quick "Scourgify!" on them before putting them on again and adding another layer of pine needles.
She gave her compost an appreciative nod before beginning the process all over again. Potato and pine and water and pulp and pine. That could be a SONG. Y'know, if she could sing. Maybe she'd stick to plants. The process was repeated a third time, then all her buckets were depleted. Aaaaall done! Except for the manure.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Sophie Nesslage Third Year | Keeper of Ginny's Cuteness ~ Flying Prefect ~ GOBBLE GOBBLE Sophie continued to layer her materials accordingly- orange pulp, coffee grounds, and then apple cores. Of course she didn't forget her water. After she had completed that step, she cleared those buckets away. Next, she grabbed her bucket of knarl manure. In a swift motion she spread it all out in an even layer on top, and topped it off with a bit of water. Sophie cleared up her workstation, all that was left was filling out her card. |

| Post 1 Toothless - Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror - DoctorDonna Layers....got it.
No willy-nilly tossing around of the stuff you had collected into the crate. Benny was paying attention to everything that was being said by Professor Myers, and it was a LOT. But he needed most if not all of it to make sure his work he could manage. Dry...wet...dry...wet. A little bit of water every few layers. And manure all on top as the icing on the proverbial cake. Got it...got it...got it. The Gryffindor was writing as best he could as he listened in case he forgot anything along the way.
When the professor finally stopped speaking and they were free to actually do what needed to be done, Benny moved from his spot at the table. He went to retrieve a watering can to use, preferring it to having to worry about getting too much water into the layers. It was easier to sprinkle with the non-magically manuever. "Aquamenti!" he cast, aiming inside and filling it aup before returning to his station clearly now ready to begin in earnest.
First layer...pine needles.
Second layer...corn cobs.
Third layer...pine needles again. Then a sprinking of water.

Rooney applied them on top of the grass clippings and decided that he would add his next layer before putting any more water into his compost. He didn't want to soak it and so minimal water appliance would work for him with each layer that he added. The dead flowers went on next and Roo willed with all of his might that the flowers would take all the energy from his compost and live once more so he could give THEM to Miss Sophie Brown and Professor Myers wouldn't be able to take them away because they were part of HIS compost. HIS. Meaning that he couldn't claim them as his own and take them back.
So, take that, Professor Compost!Emotions.
He poured a little bit of water on top of that, before adding his last layer. The orange pulp. The mixture of all the smells was making him feel a little bit dizzy, to be honest, and he was not looking forward to adding his manure -- THE manure. Not his manure.
He wouldn't put his own into compost -- why was he even thinking about it?
Ugh.
Did he HAVE to add it? Would it make a big difference?

Looking down at his pile, he decided to just get down to business and start layering everything right now so he could be over and done with this. First, he took his apple cores and started to line them down, then took the coffee grounds and put them on top of the cores. He did another layer of apple cores and then more coffee, and then he took a little bit of water and sprinkled it over his layers. A little bit more, a little more...there, now it was all nice and damp again. Now to start layering again....

All will nilly, Zeke scooped out the remaining grass clippings and scattered them around the inside of his crate as if it were fairly dust. Lalalalala. This was easy. Next came the remainder of the wasted cake, and that too was sprinkled around the surface of his soon to be compost. Of course, the cake was still bitty, so more lumps and bumps formed on the surface which he would need to even out. And lastly!... coffee grounds. Taking his bucket, he just TIPPED it upside down over the rest of his stuff, and then with his gloved hand, flattened it out, filling in the gaps where the cake hadn't filled. Done.
With one last sprinkle of water from his wand tip, Zeke then cast a glance at his manure. THIS would be the icky part. Poop. Abraxan poop.
Dumping the contents of his bucket of poooooooop on top, he pushed it around with his finger tips until it looked even.
FINISHED!
Content with his work, Zeke pulled his gloves off and set them to the side while he filled out his label card bit. Quote: Zeke Browne

Herbology wasn't the study of becoming a smelly farmer, was it? There was no way that Professor Truebridge would have been so into this if it was. She'd probably have cried if she got manure behind her fingernails. Rooney wanted out of this and he was going to write home this evening and ask his parents if they could get him excused on medical grounds.
Maybe he was allergic to cow manure, because the stench of it was making his eyes water and his nose twitch every so often. Allergies, gosh. Extensive allergies, actually.
DEATH VIA MANURE.
DEATH. DEATH. DEATH.
Maybe he could stage a death scene right here right now. Rooney put up his hand and waved it in the air. "Professor, I'm.. I'm not feeling amazing, you know?" Cue a little fanning of his face, but total dedication, carrying on adding the manure to the top of his compost and writing out his card of explanation. One hand for each thing. Multi-tasking. Quote:
Rooney Bronwyn's Compost Materials and Layers
(order of top to bottom in crate)
Cow manure (Nitrogen)
Orange pulps (Nitrogen)
Dead flowers (Nitrogen)
Apple cores (Nitrogen)
Grass clippings (Nitrogen)
Straw (Carbon)
Soil High levels of Nitrogen And then..of course, when his work was done, he clutched his heart, dropped his gloves to the floor and yelped for some help. Before he joined his gloves on the floor and closed his eyes laying as still as he possibly could. His entire life rested on this performance.
And he'd played dead on stage for over two years of his life, he was a professional.

What had he grabbed for his compost again? Peeking into his buckets, he smiled...all right. He had Abraxan manure...the old cake, cardboard, and also some potato peels. He sprinkled on some of the potato peels first...and then a layer of some cardboard. Then, the old cake...then cardboard. THEN the rest of the potato peels..and the last of the cardboard. It looked...like a...FUN HERBOLOGY CAKE or something.
Lastly, he had to do the manure. So interesting, it was. Abraxan manure...he dumped the contents onto the top layer of his compost and pat it down. The Abraxan poop was niiiiice and squishy. Heh.
Glancing up at his class (which he had almost forgotten existed), he looked around. "Everyone doing all right? Any questions?" he called out.
HE WAS HERE TO HELP!
.....ROONEY! Paul JUMPED up--and ran over to the boy, clearly concerned--his face was wrinkled with worry! "Mr. Bronwyn! Are you okay? MR. BRONWYN?!" he sounded...hysterical. "SOMEONE SHOULD GO FOR THE HEALER!"

Ava listened to the Professor's explanation very carefully because... it sounded like the compost would fail if she didn't listen to the instruction very carefully. So first, she needed to put the dry and moist material in layer and then sprinkle some water and finally... put the manure.
This would be interesting.
Since she had two dry materials and two moist materials, the young lioness contemplating which one she put first. Well, it didn't matter did it? Okaaaaay.... She decided to put the apple core first as the first layer. And then for the second layer, she put the dried leaves. For the third layer, she put the orange peels and then the coffee grounds on the top of them. Next, Ava cast water-conjuring spell because the Professor said that they needed to add some water, right? "Aguamenti!"
Oops, was that too much water?

Candice listened to the Professor as the man explained to them what they need to do to make their own compost. It sound easy enough. She just have to make layers and stuffs. She could do that. Now, its time to get busy!
The first layer, the Gryffindor decided to use the Orange peels. She grabbed the bucket number #2. There first layer of Orange peels, Check! Then she added the tea bags for the second layer and Orange pulps on top of the tea bags. There three layers. Now she just have to sprinkle some water. Candice decided that she gonna use the muggle way. Its fun that way. She grabbed the water can and sprinkled some waters to her compost. There done.

| Post #1 (gonna pretend the Rooney death hasn't happened yet since we're behind oop) be curious, not judgmental Oh, there was a specific ORDER to making the compost. Soph got her notebook at the ready as Myers got VERY animated and passionate about being VERY PRECISE about the LAYERS. He was using a whole lot of scientific words - "you pretty much just have to" was actually really kind of cute of him to say - and Soph made note of the order, from alternating between the dry and moist layers to sprinkling some water in to keep the layers moist, then with the manure on the topmost layer. Once she was finished catching up with her note-taking, Soph GOT TO WORK.
Peeking over the brim of her buckets, Soph took a looong moment to consider which she should start with. He had said... moist first, correct? Did it matter if it was moist first or dry? Well... she was going to hope it was OKAY to start with the moist first because that's what she was going to do, then took her bucket of apple cores with her gloved hands and started delicately sprinkling them over the dirt in her crate.
As she did so, she thought about... how she'd ended up picking potatoes and apples to combine for her moist materials, and she wondered if it it was a good combination or not. "Pomme... et pomme de terre..." she murmured under her breath, noting the French terms and how the potato was literally the apple of the earth. And she'd done that without even realizing. Huh. Well... hopefully their similarities made it a good thing, yeah?
Once she was done adding the apple cores, Soph peeked over the buckets of pine needles and coffee grounds and squinted, trying to decide which to add next. She supposed it didn't REALLY matter since it was all going in anyway, so... she... went ahead to add the coffee grounds next. Yes. Caaasually sprinkling them over next.
Easy peasy.

| Post 2 BOOMBAYAH! | #PuedoPorquePiensoQuePuedo | Certified Blank and Random Person | Raventastic Hold on, did she just hear someones's fainted?
The young lioness looked at fainting lady.... Wait, it's not a girl. It's a boy. Woah, what a shame. She just shook her head and... Maybe it would be better to go back to her work.
So she had put the apple core, and then the dried leaves, then the orange peels and coffee grounds on the top layer. She also had sprinkled some (a little bit too much maybe) water. And what's next??
The poop. How on earth she forgot the poop part??!!!
Ava then grabbed the poop bucket and she had chosen the knarl one. This must be the last layer, right? She put the manure on the top layer of her compost with her hand. For those who had invented gloves, they should be awarded order of Merlin or anything else. Thank Merlin she's not kind of girl who's afraid of getting dirty. And nope, she's not gonna hurl or faint like other victims here.
There, done!

Sprinkle....Sprinkle....Sprinkle.... It looked a little uneven, so the Gryffindor used her hand to flatten it out. There. It looked nice. She was happy with her layers. Now, she just need to add the last part and the most interesting. THE POOP!
Candice grabbed a handful of poop from bucket number #1 and put it on top of the layers. She pushed it around a little bit to even it out. Okaaay. She was done with her compost.
She was about to do the last part which is filling out her card when the Professor called out for someone to get the healer. Whatsgoingon? Did someone just die?

Before her gloves got all mucked up with knarl manure. This was IT. She reached into the bucket, but paused before her fingers could touch anything. Wait. Why was she doing this? Drawing her hand out quickly, she wiggled her gloceves off and picked up her wand again. "Wingardium leviosa!" She concentrated hard on the contents of the bucket as she levitated the manure onto her compost. Her goes nothin'.
The fifth year put her gloves back on and faced the crate with a determined stare. Reaching out one hand, she hesitated for a moment before pushing the manure flat down on the last layer of pine with a loud SQUELCH. Heheh. Heh. If you didn't think about what she was squishing, it was almost kind of fun. The smell made it hard not to think about it, but y'know. She squished the rest of it all down too, until she had an even layer of manure on the very top. Ta da! In a flash, her gloves were off and her wand was back in her hand, first to cast "scourgify" on her gloves, and then to add water to the compost again. "Aguamenti!" ALMOST THERE.

| Post 3 Shoe!Girl │ Rebel Ravie │ Confundus Queen │ RP Addict There was no way she could deny that she was glad that she was done dealing with the manure. Not that Brooklyn thought anyone would have dared ask her, but she was happy that she’d gotten through it. Although she still wasn’t about to return her sweater to where it was supposed to be. No, that was staying over her nose and mouth until the lesson was over and she could go outside. Breathe the non-manure-contaminated air. Until then, the knit was staying securely as a barrier. It was actually doing a good job of filtering out most of the stench, too.
She’d taken her gloves off in order to write on the label for her crate, however. As long as she stayed away from the top of the crate, she figured she’d be safe. Plus, then she wouldn’t get any remaining ick on the label or her pen. But then, of course it had to be more complicated than just putting her name on it. Nobody got the point of making things simple anymore.
There had definitely been some checking of the notes on the board. She hadn’t remembered which ones were nitrogen and what was carbon, but somehow it looked like she’d ended up with a nearly even mix. Points for her. And she wasn’t playing dead like that little Claw boy. That was too much even for her.

| Post #2 (now we're coming for you Rooney xoxo) be curious, not judgmental With her first two layers of moist then dry materials all set, Soph didn't hesitate to take up her bucket of potato peels, her second moist material, and sprinkled it atop the layer of coffee grounds. She gave a pensive hum as she went, considering the amount she was depositing into her crate, and when she thought it was a nice coating, she switched and almost started with the pine needles... when she remembered she needed to sprinkle in some water.
Totally under control. Totally had this.
"Aguamenti!" Soph cast into the crate with her wand, controlling the stream of water so it was a gentle sprinkling over the topmost layer of potato peels... then stopped the stream when it seemed like there was a good amount. Onto the the pine needles, then, and Soph sprinkled them over the potato peels for a nice new layer, back to humming softly all the while as she did so until it seemed like enough, but not too much.
Aaaand ALL DONE WITH THE MOIST AND DRY MATERIALS.
She still had to deal with the manure now, though, which was... less fun, but it was fine. Totally fine. Knarl manure was better than the other manures still. Fearlessly, she picked up her bucket and got her glove ready to go, and just as she went to deposit the manure into her crate--
Rooney was saying he wasn't feeling great, and before long... the kid was DEAD ON THE FLOOR. Kind of a theatrical death, one that almost made her a bit suspicious, but Soph had quickly abandoned her bucket and removed her gloves to land beside Rooney on the floor, her brows furrowed with concern. "Rooney?" Her voice was oddly calm, even in the face of a potentially legitimately FAINTED kid on her hands. "It's Soph." She rested the back of her hand gently on his forehead, feeling his temperature, then moved it to his cheek. Her voice was soft and sincere as she went on, "Hey. C'mon. You're not allowed to die on me. We've still got stuff to do 'n adventures to go on." So could he wake up? Would her encouragement for their future fun be enough to alert his unconscious of a reason to wake up?
Glancing up at the slightly panicking professor, Soph suggested, "Someone could send a patronus?" Faster than a kid, uuunless Rooney came back to consciousness sooner than later. But... did... was he BREATHING? He was laying awfully still, and Soph gently picked up the boy's wrist to feel if he had a pulse. He couldn't just fall over and DIE IN HERBOLOGY CLASS FROM MANURE.

Angel was wondering what they were going to do with the composed when they were finished making it, because surely you didn't go around doing this for no reason and even though Herbology was her favourite subject and she loved the plant side of it, this was one side that she wasn't keen on because it meant touching old stuff.
Angel decided that she would try and do this as quickly as she could, she first put some apple cores were placed in first, then she placed in some grass clippings and then it was apple cores again and then grass clipping and then she put some chicken manure on top of them and then it was time to use her wand to put some water on the thing to make it wetter.
"aguamenti!" Angel did the wand movement and then she watched as the water came out before she stopped when she thought it was enough and she looked at her wand, well she hadn't thought that through, she would seriously need to wash it after this lesson, though if she was going to be an herbologist then she would have to get used to her things getting dirty.

| post 1 + "dead" kid A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
Because he did not really trust this wand when it came to the aguamenti charm since it always came out too strong, Yoongi walked over a table to grab a watering can to sprinkle some water into the compost. Placing the can next to him after filling it with water he placed it on the desk, the Gryffindor began to work.
Checking that his gloves were on correctly and that no skin was seen, Yoongi decided to begin with the dry materials. He grabbed a handful of pine needles, winched as one of them pricked his palm and layered the needles inside of the crate on top of the straws. Now that he had done a dry layer he had to do a moist layer now right. Putting his hand in the orange peels bucket he had grabbed earlier, Yoongi took out a handful and placed them on top of the pine.
He cleaned his glove with magic before his hand went in to the bucket of flowers when he heard the Professor yell. And a second later, Sophie was kneeled down beside a kid on the floor ……..wait a kid was dead?! HOW can a kid DIE in Herbology?! ………well he did know that there were dangerous plants but they weren’t working with any right now?
As he watched, his eyes transfixed on the scene, he still managed to put a layer of flowers on top of his orange peels. Someone could send a patronus. He would have…problem was…he couldn’t . See! This was exactly why he had went to Dakest with his trouble on the subject of patronuses. What if something happened again? Well, there was that something and he couldn’t do anything. "throw some water on his face? not too much though... maybe the cold will wake him up?" he said while still standing at his work station.

| Post 3 + Yoongi, Professor and Rooney BOOMBAYAH! | #PuedoPorquePiensoQuePuedo | Certified Blank and Random Person | Raventastic The apple cores, dried leaves, orange peels, coffee ground, some water, knarl manure, and.... All she needed now just a little bit more of water. "Aguamenti." She said as she cast the water-conjuring spell. And it's.... DONE! A compost made by Ava Burton is ready to serve... Well, not now maybe. Didn't they need to leave it for a while until it's ready to be used?
But now, she just needed to make a label. Quote: Ava Burton// First Year, Gryffindor
Material used:
Straw (carbon)
Apple core (nitrogen)
dried leaves (nitrogen)
orange peels (nitrogen)
coffee grounds (nitrogen)
knarl manure (nitrogen)
rich in Nitrogen, I think And people still focused on that fainted kid. "Well, I think Yoongi is right. Splash some water on his face." She pointed her wand to his face. "Aguamenti."

| Post 2 Otter This World ♡ Catpurrccino ♡ Slotherin ♡ Pandamonium The layering of the materials hadn't been so bad. In fact that part was easy. Simply moist and then dry, moist, dry until she was finished. Of course Hady had remembered to sprinkle some water from the watering can over her layers just as she should have. She wasn't about to mess this up at all. Not when she was almost finished.
Her last layer had to be the manure. Knarl manure to be exact. Tugging the bucket that held said yucky material inside of it closer she instinctively took in a breath holding it. As quickly as she could manage to do so the fourth year dumped the manure from the bucket into the bucket that held all her nicely layered materials. Still trying not to inhale anything at all she smoothed it out the best she could before once more adding just a sprinkle of water on top making sure it remained damp enough. There. Now she was able to move on to the next step.

Janelle updated her notes and now she was ready to layer her compost. So much for her putting the manure on the bottom so it wouldn't stink so much idea. Oh well, it was worth a shot. Janelle took a second to decide how she would do things, but once that decision was made, she was ready to go. Dry, moist, dry, moist.....right.
Coffee grounds seemed like a good way to start so, gloves in place, Janelle began with those. She sprinkled the grounds on top of her layer of twigs until they were sufficiently covered. At least she thought it looked right. Then it was her moist layer next. Janelle arranged her apple cores atop her coffee grounds. She probably didn't need to take as much care as she was taking, but dumping them in just didn't seem right.
Next came some tea bags and once they had covered the apple cores, Janelle finished with her tea bags. She had four layers so far and it was time to water her compost. Although she could do a perfectly good Aguamenti spell, Janelle decided to go the watering can route instead. She went over and retrieved one. Even though it was an extra step, she wanted to water with the can. She took out her wand and said, ""Aguamenti". Janelle watched as the water flowed into her watering can. When she was finished, she ended the spell. "Finite" At last, Janelle lifted the watering can and tilted it so that it sprinkled water over her compost layers. Now she had to do it all again.

| Post 2 Toothless - Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror - DoctorDonna First set of layers done, however many more to go. Benny figured it went until he had nothing left in his buckets by their instructions so he was making sure not to use too much of anything at any one time. Fourth layer was back to moist and the Gryffindor traded off from the corn cobs to the melon rinds before adding another layer of pine needles into the mix. After the second layer of cobs was completely added, it was time for another sprinkling from his borrowed watering can.
With that done it developed into a simple system.
Dry good...moist goods...dry goods...water.
Moist goods...dry goods...moist goods...water.
And on and on untill eventually all the goods in those three buckets was gone and his watering bucket was only half full. So far everything looked good, and smelled relatively okay. But that wasn't going to last long as the manure adding was the last step in the process.
Oh boy.

There was more layering to be done and Janelle kept up a steady pace. She repeated what she had done previously 'cause you know, consistency was a good thing. That meant she started over with a layer of coffee grounds, followed by a layer of apple cores. Then it was on to the tea bags and finally the orange peels. When Janelle had finished her second set of layers, she picked up the watering can and began to sprinkle. For some reason, she enjoyed the whole sprinkling part.
Surveying her work and her supplies, Janelle decided that she probably had room for one more set of layers. So........she repeated the process one last time. Coffee grounds, apple cores, tea bags, orange peels, each layer carefully placed. Finally Janelle was done with her dry, moist layering. Now it was time for the dreaded manure. Janelle was going to need a moment to prepare her mind, and her nose, for this.

| Post 3 Toothless - Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror - DoctorDonna Now all that was left was the smelly manure, but then Benny supposed it wasn't that bad to work with. It wasn't like dragon dung was any better a smell or composition within his gloved hands than knarl manure. Speaking of such, the seventh year taking handfuls and adding it vigorously to the top of his layered crate, evening it out so it resembled one final layer on top of his class project almost sealing it all in.
There...all done.
Benny then slipped his gloves off gingerly and picked up card and quill to write everything down. The hardest part was keeping track of what was carbon and what was nitrogen, but eventually he had it completed to the best of his ability. Hopefully it was right in the professor's more knowledgeable eyes. Quote:
Benjamin Atreyu
Manure: Knarl (Nitrogen)
Dry: Pine needles (Carbon)
Moist: Corn cobs (Carbon) and melon rinds (Nitrogen)
I would say my composting is a pretty even mixture of nitrogen and carbon.
