| | |  Gobstones Preliminary Match: Gryffindor vs. Slytherin
 The building used for the Gobstones matches had had its doors closed against the late autumn morning chill. Its surfaces magically dusted by Professor Tanner and Mr. Kitridge, the school's Gobstones sponsors and made ready for the term's second preliminary match.
The red and green marbles were set out and the playing 'field' had been marked. Chairs were set out on each side of the arena creating a Viewing Area for those not playing to watch.
OOC: Remember only members sorted into Gryffindor and Slytherin Houses can post in this thread, it is not a chat thread and there is no rping.
Read the Gobstones Rule book before playing and if you did last term, please check again for potential updates and changes.

The red stone rounded handful of obstacles before it stopped, crashing into a new obstacle. The green stone surpassped its opponent and one more obstacle before it stopped.

Ava switched with Franklin for the lions and Oliver switched with Cilla for the snakes. Franklin seemed to have picked up some sort of luck with his first try with the shooter. He was getting his house's stone closer and closer to the Slytherin's stone, and the goal in extension. "3 points to Gryffindor at the end of the third round. Slytherin leads 10-6 as we head into the fourth round!" Leo declared.

The green stone picked up pace as it rounded several obstacles and then it for no reason swerved heavily to the left and towards the court edge. The red stone surpassed its opponent for the points.

The last encounter between Gryffindor and Slytherin was concluded by the facing off between Lynch and Messer. Both players did their best in this last turn with their shooting. The greeb stone raced towards the goal and was the first to touch the Jack Stone, causing Mr Kitridge to start applauding a little too enthusiastically not because Slytherin had gotten the last point of the match, but because it was finally over and they could all go back to their headquarters to eat some well deserved food.
"Slytherin wins!" He announced, clapping lightly, "Great game Gryffindor, you were fantastic as well. Thank you everyone for watching and taking time out of your leisure time to enjoy this championship match today. Today's player of the match is Oliver Tate Thomas-Borzekowski, thank you for your dedication to the game." He flashed Oliver a big smile. "Off you go to your common rooms for hanging out with your housemates or even studying for your next lessons." Leo ushered everyone out, out, out.
Advisor note: So sorry for messing up again everyone. There are only 5 rounds in the match as the rules state and thus the match is now over.
