Olathe looked at the round door, so far everything had been better than she could ever imagine and she had a feeling the dorms would be the same. Except when she opened the round door she was briefly confused and slightly disappointed to find tunnels. " Weird.." She thought but after a few moments she giggled when it finally made since to her Badgers underground tunnels were the perfect hallways for badgers. Olathe hummed softly to herself as she wondered the tunnel looking for the first year dormitory. Finally, she took a deep breath and entered. the dorms hadn't let her down either they were brilliant just like everything else here at Hogwarts. she spied her trunk at the footof a bed near a window. She bounced excitedly over to her bed with an excited squeal and sprawled out across the large bed. She had never had a bed this big it seemed like such a waste of space for someone as small as she was but she wasn't complaining not one bit.The room was huge but then again she was the first to arrive it was likely it would seem a little smaller once her housemates arrived. She climbed off her bed and opened her trunk she pulled out a family photograph for the nightstand beside her bed as well as some stationary she placed photo carefully then got comfortable on the bed again and started a letter home she just had to tell her mom all about the train , the great hall ceiling, being ... well just everything.

It was almost time for dinner, but Paulina figured that maybe she could get in a little studying for NEWTs in first. This was what her life was quickly becoming, and she could say that she didn't care for it one bit.

Sighing, she plopped down on her bed with some of her school textbooks. What could she start with? There was Astronomy, Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts... Or should she go with Herbology? Part of her thought that it was best to focus on other things since she needed more help with them, but she just loved plants.

Hmm.

Closing her eyes, she grabbed a book at random. "Astronomy it is."

Bleu had been in the girls dorm studying for hours, which seemed like all she ever did anymore. She really needed to get out of here and go see her boyfriend. She sighed and shook her head while reading through her charms notes. She didn't really know why she was studying but she knew that if the music thing didn't work out, she had to have good scores to get into a good program at the ministry. She really did have the skills to do anything, which was exactly why she couldn't choose a wizarding profession.

She heard someone enter the dorm and plop down on a bed close to her. She always kept her curtains drawn so that no one would peek in on her or distract her. Some of these girls were really annoying and loud so she would usually us the Muffliato spell when those girls were around but it sounded as if this person was studying as well. Plus it was a little early in the day for those girls to be in the dorm already. *nerdface*

Bleu peeked out of her curtains, noticing the new girl from Beauxbatons. She quietly opened her curtain, saying, "Hey, Paulina right? Studying?" She sat patiently waiting for a response.

Paulina had thought she was alone, so it was a little bit of a surprise when she heard someone talking to her. Looking up, she saw Bleu peeking her head from behind her curtain. "Oh, hey! Yes, it's me Paulina. Trying to get some Astronomy studying in."

Not that she was complaining, because the subject was fascinating. She loved getting in touch with her inner nerd once in a while, and while she wasn't the best at science, it was interesting to read about the stars and planets. More than that though, she liked LOOKING at them. "You studying too?" Or was there another reason to be hiding away?

Bleu gave the girl a small smile. She hadn't meant to startle the girl or anything. Oh, studying seemed to be the bane of her existence lately. It's all she ever did anymore. But she had to get good grades on her Newts....just in case....

"Always. It's all I ever do." She held up her notes and smiled. "This is pretty much the best place to study too. No one is ever around till after dinner." At least she wasn't the only one that took her education seriously around here. Even if she had no earthly idea what she would do in the Wizarding World.

"What are you wanting to do after graduation?" she asked as she pushed the rest of her curtains open. Maybe the fresh air would wake her up a bit...she was actually starting to doze off when she heard Paulina come in.

Paulina couldn't help but laugh as Bleu said that it was all she ever did. Seemed to be the story of every Seventh Year's life. "I had my OWLs last year, and now I have NEWTs." It really sucked and she wished that Beauxbatons was more like Hogwarts because then she would have gotten a term off where she didn't have to do all sorts of review. Thank Merlin she wasn't crazy enough to try for all 12 exams. "I find this school very peaceful in general. Is that odd? Because people say that so many weird things happen here, but everything seems rather normal besides the class rules."

Thinking about what she wanted to do after graduation made Paulina smile. She already had a plan. "I'm going to become a Herbologist! What about you?" She had a long stretch and got herself into a more comfortable position on her bed.

Bleu was surprised that Beauxbatons had OWL's in their 6th year. "That is a lot of testing all bunched up together. I'm so happy we have 6th year to basically relax a little. Though I think I got a little too relaxed last term." She sighed. All this testing was crazy, but then again the muggles had a lot more testing than they did, so she was kinda happy she didn't have to go through all that anymore.

"Not odd at all. I find it peaceful too. Of course, many strange things do happen here but I tend to keep myself away from those things. But my thoughts are...strange things happen here because we are a strange people with magical powers. Muggles don't have strange happenings because...they don't have magic." She shrugged. This school had a history of strange happenings but...wasn't to be expected with young wizards and witches running around? "What's not normal about the class rules?" She was slightly confused by that statement. But it was probably a cultural thing.

Bleu smiled. Everyone she talked to knew what they wanted to be. Here she was hoping in her 7th year something would finally latch on to her. "Well, I don't really know. Which is why I am taking the majority of the NEWTS. Ancient Runes and Arithmancy are the ones I wont be taking. I just...don't know what I want to do...in the wizarding world at least. I want to be a singer. But I don't know if that will happen so I am trying to do my best in the subjects I enjoy." She was just talented in all aspects. She really didn't have one thing that she stood out in.

Paulina wasn't surprised that Bleu hadn't known Beauxbatons did their tests during Sixth Year; it probably wasn't common knowledge to anyone other than those who had attended the school. "It's quite stressful, but I suppose it keeps me on my game." There was no worry about her slacking off too much when she didn't have a term off from studying. "Nothing wrong with taking it easy." Sometimes she got way too stressed out because of workload.

It was odd to think of crazy things happening at Hogwarts because so far theonly strange thing she had encountered was class rules. Bleu DID have a good point though. "I never thought of it that way but that does make sense. It also doesn't help that there are dangerous things lurking in the forest. It's beyond me why they haven't been evicted years ago." Who wanted to deal with werewolves and acromantulas? Weird. The unicorns and centaurs could stay though. "Well, I mean having to sing answers in Transfiguration, give food to the Professor in Potions, and wear pips and say 'live long and prosper' in Astronomy. And those are just a few examples." Was this normal to everyone else?

"It's awesome that you want to become a singer though! I'm sure you will do well on your NEWTs." Paulina was definitely not taking all of them; she wouldn't have been able to handle that.
