 You arrive in the dungeons, ready to serve your detention. You approach a desk situated in front of several doors and can hear strange noises coming from behind each of them. Suddenly, there is an ear-piercing scream and the staff member behind the desk smiles with pleasure. Time for you to sign your soul over in!

Welcome to Detention!
Here is where students come to be punished. Please RP your arrival and signing in in this thread. From here, the staff member administering your detention will assign you a detention room. Once you have been assigned a detention room, post your arrival in that detention room thread and a staff member will be there to instruct you momentarily.
Please keep in mind the following special rules for detention:
Quote: Rule number one: Do NOT complain about being in detention. You are here for good reason and if you don't know why you are here, you obviously need to learn the rules and the proper way to behave at school (RP school or REAL school). This is the perfect place to do that.
Rule number two: Please refrain from making OOC comments if at all possible.
Rule number three: Do not pester us to take you out of detention or complain when your detention is up and we haven't had a chance to take you out. Maybe you'll think twice next time. It is not our fault if you miss classes or Quidditch or can't post in the rest of the school!!
Rule number four: You must post in your assigned detention room a couple times a day throughout the course of your detention to prove to us that you have actually shown up. (We understand there are circumstance where you may not be able to get online, but sometimes, the length of your detention is dependant on how many days you have actually posted. For example, if you are given two days of detention and you only post once a week, your detention will actually be for the two weeks it took you to post.) A professor will give you instructions as to what you will be doing while here.
Rule number five: You must ONLY post in the detention rooms assigned to you in this thread. If you are caught posting in detention rooms you were not assigned to, your detention length will be increased.
Failure to abide by any of these rules may result in the professor extending your detention period. | |

Detention. He was having his first detention. And of all the things he COULD have had detention for over the years, he had to be given one for snogging. Sheesh. What was worse, was that he was sure Emily would get wind of this, and he didn't much fancy finding out her thoughts on the matter.
Hands in pockets, and dressed in uniform - though he ditched the robes - Zeke shuffled down the corridor to the entrance of Dungeon Five. He wasn't sure what Flamsteed had in store for them, but whatever it was... it couldn't be all that bad.
The noises and the darkness of the dungeons didn't bother him, not even the screams which were very obviously made to frighten them. It would be illegal for them to inflict pain. And they knew who his mum was. He wasn't scared.
"Reporting for duty," he announced, standing idly for his instructions.
He hadn't seen Maggie yet, and had done a good enough job of avoiding her until now. Why couldn't she have just laughed this off with him, huh?

Maggie had taken FOREVER to find an outfit for tonight. Finally she'd decided on her school uniform though because Flamsteed would probably appreciate that the most. She HAD brought a whole bag of other outfits though. Just in case. There were even heels in there in case they....okay most of the other outfits she'd brought probably made absolutely no sense but it had somehow calmed her down a little. She was prepared for everything.
Everything.
Even though she flinched slightly at the first scream she heard, Maggie kept walking. They weren't real. Nobody else was here apart from them. Probably. No one really knew with this school of course. Maybe they were breeding giant acromantulas down here. Who knew.
Maggie kept walking however until she was stood right beside Zeke. "I just hope it's nothing.....gross." She put some extra emphasis on the last word and glanced over to the Gryffindor. Did he get her reference? Hmm?
Also yes she was also here. Clearly. Did she have to SAY it too? | |

Appearing from the dark corridor leading to the detention dungeons, the astronomer rolled down the sleeves on his white dress shirt and cleared his throat. "Mr. Zeke. Miss Traulton," he greeted curtly. "I will require your wands." He then held out his hands, which showed the remnants of swampy water, towards both of them expectantly. "Do not fret, you will get them back upon the completion of your detention."

He needn't have turned to see who was coming, but he did anyway. Was Maggie for real? He just stared as she stopped beside him, a bag, was that necessary? It was detention, not a shopping trip... and furthermore, she was complaining about gross things already? Gross. Gross. Gross?
...
He didn't much care for gross right now, and his response was communicated with a grunt.
Feeling as if he were saved by the bell, Flamsteed was asking them for their wands. Their wands? ... No. No. He wasn't supposed to hand over his wand to ANYONE, that was Survival 101. He'd stopped falling for that trick soon after his wand was purchased!
The Gryffindor paused, eyes narrowing slightly as he weighed up the pro's and con's of defying Flamsteed. Ultimately, he didn't think he'd be able to go the mile in a duel against his Head of House - not that he'd want to either, and as far as survival was concerned, he was sure it probably didn't apply to detentions. So... that was it then? No plausible reason for denying the handover of his wand.
Full of regret, he surrendered his Larch. And... what was with the mans hands? They were, wet? "Will they be clean when you return them?" he asked regarding his wand. It was a legit question, he was all out of wand polish you see.

Maggie didn't get the chance to explain what she'd meant, however, because Flamsteed had joined them. Oh the joys. And Zeke was acting weird. Ugh. This detention was NOT at all going well. Which, probably, was the point but still. She'd managed to soooort of convince herself that it was going to be fine.
Now, she wasn't so sure anymore.
With a small sigh and a glance at Zeke, Maggie nodded and pulled out her wand. While she might have been a little paranoid usually she highly doubted a staff member would be using her wand against her. After she'd placed her wand in Flamsteed's hand (yes she'd noticed the fact that they were, well, dirty, ew), Maggie looked up at the professor. "Sir, is what I'm wearing okay?" So, like, they wouldn't be flying again or something, right?
She WAS wearing a skirt. Maggie switched her back from left hand to right and waited for an answer. | |

Accepting both their wands, he wrapped them in a Star Trek handkerchief and then tucked them into his enchanted breast pocket. "Hopefully," he winked at Mr. Zeke. Unless he had to jump in and save one of them from drowning or something.
"I am GLAD you asked," he chuckled, pulling out his own wand once more to give it a quick wave and conjure a pair of Wellingtons in house colors, or the neon variation of them at least, for each of them. Which meant a lively green with little silver snakes all over it for her and a spirited red with little gold cartoony lions for him. Pausing before handing over the pair of green ones to Miss Traulton, he gave her attire a quick look over. "Well...it won't go very well with these boots...but it's acceptable, I suppose."
With one last shrug - he wasn't the fashion police - he handed over the boots. "Just slip those on and follow me."
He was wearing his own pair of Star Trek inspired footwear, thank you for asking!
Upon entering the room, they wouldn't see anything out of the ordinary due to the darkness. They would, however, be greeted by the unpleasant sound of water sloshing about. Nothing too drastic. Just enough to cover their toes really.

Botros finished conversing with one of his colleagues, grabbed a big book from his office and headed down to the Dungeons. It was his least favorite place of the school. He remembered when he supervised a detention during his first year teaching her on behalf of Mrs. Tanner. It wasn't pleasant.
And now to have to do this to two Hufflepuffs whom he liked, it was worse. | |

Okay, so Adi had come to terms with what he had done at the Treehouse but it didn't stop the empty feeling he had in him. He wasn't violent... he hadn't known he had violence in him. Henric hurting Ilia was enough to provoke it though and he had made up his mind not to let this happen again. He would just get this detention done with and move on, learning from his mistake. Yep! Positive Adi was beginning to show himself again.
He shuffled down to the dungeon to meet the Professor overseeing his detention. Gah! It was Professor Headmaster. He almost wished it were the Healer. You know, someone whom he wasn't that fond of? Great. Now he'd have to deal with the disappointed Grandfather. "Good afternoon, Professor Headmaster,'' Adi said as he set his bag down since he came here as soon as his class was over. "Um, thanks for considering my exams. Henric's too.'' So, did they get started soon?

OH GREAT DRAGONS! WHAT WAS THAT!? A ear-peircing scream was heard from the hollow darkness which they called Hogwarts dungeons. Henric felt a little afraid to be here all of a sudden. It was the first time he would serve his detention and so far, he had heard nothing good coming out from this place. Be calm...Henric...be calm...nobody is going to hurt you. It was just detention right...just detention. Brrr...so cold...so dark...so...s-scary. This place was a far cry from the Hufflepuff commonroom that he was used to. He felt nothing warm or homely and bright in here. The dungeons smelled terribly close to a sewage he once resided in for shelter. He frowned at the memory. No no...he didn't want to remember the bad things in his life. He was going to face his fears head on. There was no turning back now.
Henric was going to serve his sentence with his house prefect. Poor Adi, his mate was still shaken up by the whole ordeal. But Henric had long forgiven his buddy, he didn't like dwelling in the past. Henric just felt sorry that Adi had to spend his last year in detention with him. Sighing, he stepped over some gooey, disgusting looking, muddy waters and walked straight towards the dimly lit place where he saw Professor Botros already waiting for them with his cane. He felt so terrible for dissapointing one of his respected professors in school. He didn't mean to let it happen, it just did. He stopped right in front and stood firmly in front of his Headmaster.
"I'm ready to serve my detention,Sir." He should really stop his lips from quivering. He just felt all too overwhelming for his soft heart.

Botros had his disappointed face on alright. He nodded at the two Hufflepuffs. "Good evening," it wasn't like he was angry at them.
"Of course. Can you please sign your names here and leave your wands over there? Then, you can follow me." With his cane in his hand, Botros started towards the assigned room for their detention. | |

Adi flicked Henric a look when he turned up. He also gave the boy a tiny smile. Hey, they were going to get through this, right? Oh, hey... Adi's positivity was showing even more now... Woot!
Sign their names? Yep, Adi could do that. He quickly scrawled his name with his left hand before resting over his Hippogriff feather core wand at the indicated spot. Okay, now to find out what their detention would be all about. The seventh year wasn't going to complain because he deserved whatever punishment he was going to have. He trailed after Botros.

Henric returned Adi with a small smile of his own. It was as if he read Adi's mind and nodded in agreement. Yeah...Adi would be here to bring the positivity back into his life. No doubt about it. He followed suit their instructions on what they were supposed to do. His wand laid to rest on the table before writing his name down. He couldn't help but notice the past list of student names who had already or currently serving their punishments here. Hmm...there would be always be bad cookies in this school. He wouldn't deny the fact since now that he was categorised as one too. Hopefully they would get their wands back after this. Henric was going to take a loooong shower too once their detention was over.
