As you come through the trap door there are a few things you are going to see first. Clouds, many clouds, the room is looking more like you just stepped off a muggle airplane in midair then the divination tower. The room has been charmed to look like you are walking on fluffy clouds. The next thing you will see are big comfy looking bed chairs placed around the room. Big enough to fit at least three people. The calming music and lavender smell will be familiar to all the older students as Professor Cassie wants calm and positive vibes coming into the room.
Professor Cassie is sitting on her own comfy looking bed chair and grinning as you walk into the room. Sipping on her usual peppermint tea. There is plenty for everyone and the front table has tea kettles and cups available. There is a new notice on the board that students should read.

There is a basket full of buttons. Please put these on while you are in this class. These positive buttons will show you how they work soon.

Snap! Snap! Snap!
Paulina was doing this right, yes? She honestly wasn't too sure when she was supposed to snap or not. There were so many rules at this school that she was starting to have trouble keeping track of everything.
I love your shoes!
Paulina eyed her button for interrupting Professor Cassie even if it was with a compliment. Turning slightly pink, she wondered if she could get away with silencing the thing. Sadly she thought the answer was no.
Your ideas are splendid!
...
Why wouldn't it stop talking???
Frowning slightly, it took a moment for Paulina to notice that the clouds had gotten darker. Well, that was slightly ominous. Raising her hand, she offered a guess in reply to the questions. "I believe it's referred to as Oneiromancy. A good way to remember your dreams is to write down what you remember from them as soon as you wake up."
~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
As Cassie came closer to Adi as he answered, his button went off.
You're a fun Professor!
Hehe. Wasn't that the truth? Gosh, yes. The Hufflepuff bobbed his head, agreeing at the button. And then he was getting snaps from the woman. WOOT! He had been among those that had guessed correctly. Grinning, he wrapped an arm around Bruce. What? His kid side was very much alive in him. He was never going to loose it, okay?
He watched as the clouds changed colour and listened as Cassie continued. Yeah, he didn't exactly need dreams to tell him his fears. He fought with it everyday, didn't he? Anyway, Adi totally dug the dark clouds. "Sleepomancy?'' he randomly suggested, his hand up. "Oh, no. Wait... never mind, Professor. That would be if we're studying the way someone sleeps if there's something like that.'' Hehe. Not at all feeling silly, the Puff continued. "I remember my dreams by constantly thinking about it. Especially if they are the ones that stick out in my memories. Nightmares or the ones that make me really happy.''

Penelope hugged her fluffy pillow as she listened to what Professor Cassie said. Professor Cassie's lessons were always awesome. The buttons shouting compliments were a good idea, but were a little bit annoying when they all went off at the same time. You're awesome! You have nice hair! Okay button, you can be quiet now. Your pajamas look good! So much for being quiet. Dream divination! Divination class is really fun! She had been doing some independent study of this particular branch of divination. Dream divination is called oneiromancy. I write everything about my dreams that I can remember in a dream journal." Recently a lot of her dreams had involved giant spiders. Probably had something to do with the fact that an acromantula had tried to catch and eat her last term. There were sometimes other dreams that didn't have scary spiders in them though, so that was good.
Henric quietly observed the class discussion. Everyone seemed to have their own perception and he couldn't agree more. So his thoughts were correct! They were about to do a dream interpretation class.Cool! Then, Professor Cassie explained the purpose of these beds and he listened intently. While he listened, the clouds floating above him got darker as she explained more further. Was this a sign of something negative about to happen? Suddenly the button on his shirt went off,"You have beautiful hair! This class is amazing! Brilliant smile!" His face turned slightly pink. He quickly covered the button from speaking any further. Oh merlin, that was embarrassing...
Henric knew the answers and he couldn't help feel like the questions that Professor Cassie put out were somewhat indirectly related to his current problem. His lack of sleep often caused by reoccurring nightmares during his sleepless nights. She was the one who suggested to keep a journal for his dreams which he still do. He kept it under his dormroom bed for that very purpose. Everyone else seemed to have the answers ready and so he didn't put up his hand this time round too. The name of this divination act was definitely Oneiromancy. He had read about it before in a book. Henric wondered if they were going to write a journal about their dreams soon too.
So she's right. They're going to talk about dreams today.
Candice listened as the Professor explained to the class about dreams. And before she knew it, she asked the second question. Her hands already raised up in the air. "It calls Oneiromancy, Professor." And for the How they remembered they dream. "There's this technique call Lucid Dream where we have the ability to consciously observe and/or control our dreams. That way when we woke up we still remember our dream" His Grandfather told her about that. But dream journals worked too. "Professor, if someone have lucid dream can he or she still use their dream for Oneiromancy?" Since they can control what's going on in their dreams.

You have fabtastic slippers!
You have pretty hair.
I'm so glad you came to class today!
SPOILER!!: answers
She didn't have any surprise when students started guessing correctly. The beds did give it away. Snapping at his great answer, "Yes we will be working with dreams today. Very good."
"Very good, yes we will be studying dreams." Snaps for her!
She couldn't help but chuckle, "I love sleepovers, but not this time." She got snaps for a fun answer!
She glanced at Angel snapping at her good try. Everyone was snapping still, weren't they? "No not scrying, we need to be relaxed and clear our mind, but maybe the beds would clear them too much."
She snapped for Candice, "Very good!"
Snap, snap, snap
"Yes we will be working with dreams! Awesome job!"
Answers were great, especially when they got creative. This one got more snaps from her, "I do understand, but that isn't why we have the beds today. Though that was a great answer!"
Hady got snaps for sure! "they do make people relax and relaxing and calming is always great here in Divination!"
That was a nice thought and Cassie made sure to give snaps. "Divination is always easier with a clear mind. So very good." It was a great answer though it wasn't fully true.
Zander had a different perspective on the question and Cassie gave him snaps, "Nice try, we do need to be relaxed and claer our mind, but that isn't why we are doing this today." She wanted to always be positive and she could see why he thought that.
She smiled and snapped at Davie, he was a bright young man. "The inner eye can be awaken with concentration so relaxing would be a great start, but that's not why we have the beds today." He received more snaps when he gave the right answer. "Yes we will work on dreams today."
"Dreams are correct." She beamed and snapped at the student.
Now this kid had a good idea. Could she do a reading with clouds here? It wasn't naturally made clouds, thought they could just go outside on this nice November day. Milo got snaps for his answer, "I like your answer and maybe int he near future we will talk about that sort of reading, but today we are discussing dream divination."
Noelle was getting snaps too, Those are brilliant ideas, we are doing dream divination today."
Giggling over the answer she gave snaps, "We should not be sleeping in class!"
She got snaps as well, "Yes they do go into relaxation and clearing minds."
Such smart students, all of them were just so smart. She noticed the ones that didn't respond, yes she was keeping an eye on them. "Now most of you got it right correctly. We have this room set up for dream interpretation. Dreams can be a wonderful thing. It helps you escape from reality, bring back your greatest accomplishments, show you your wants and your biggest fears. " Pointing to the clouds as she walked past a few, "Dreams can be light hearted and happy. You can wake wishing you were right back in it."
The room was so pretty, the clouds white and fluffy floating around. She smiled watching for a moment, "Dreams have other things they can be too. They can be darker, scarier. They could be warning you about something or telling you a future. Maybe it's trying to help you solve a problem you have in your life. " She waved her wand as she talked to the class and the clouds changed to a darker grey. "Dreams can be scary they can make us not want to go to bed, but if we know more about these dreams we can rest easier whether we will have a nightmare or a wonderful time asleep."
Moving back to the front of the room with her button still talking to any student she walked past. "Can anyone tell me what they know about Dream Divination? What is it's real name? How do you remember your dreams?"
Remembering to snap for people was difficult and it was made worse by the fact Olympia kept jumping every time her button complimented a student when they walked past; or even moved. Hers had obviously got bored of waiting for people to come to it.
"You look LOVELY today, have you done something new with your hair?!"
"Oh my, those pyjamas are just your colour!!"
Olympia's eyes widened and frantically clutched her button. Why wouldn't it be quiet?!
One hand still on her button, which had mercifully quietened down, Olympia's eyebrows furrowed in frustration as she thought about the Professor's next questions. She knew this.. she was sure. Despite not particularly enjoying Divination, it didn't mean she knew nothing about it. "You can write your dreams down, or some people can just remember them anyway.." Olympia shrugged her shoulders; her answer was very similar to everyone elses. "Also, Dream Interpretation is called Oneiromancy. It's one of the oldest forms of Divination." The Gryffindor smiled, still snapping for her classmates' answers.

Sabbath was interested in this class as his people, the Rom gypsies, had made a living out of divination since time immemorial. He had observed his grandmother give interpretations and readings of all kinds for the gaje (non gypsy) customers. But, he was also aware that the interpretation given, often differed from the interpretation read - after all, it was prudent to tell a fool with deep pockets what he wanted to hear.
Sabbath grinned as Noelle approached, he had, of course, been looking out for her. "I was looking for a dream" he replied quietly to her question - it was divination class after all. He turned his attention to the professor who had begun addressing the class.
Sabbath thought about the Professors question and replied "I don’t know the name for dream interpretation in English, Professor, but I’ve seen it done many times for the gaje (non gypsy) customers by my grandmother. To interpret the dream, the person must be woken when the eyes dance during sleep. Only then they will remember the dream. The Drabarni can then interpret what she sees.
Afterwards, Sabbath wondered about the compliment that Noelle's button had given. You're the best thing since sliced bread- He didn't get it - sliced bread?? He shrugged and looked at her. Then his own button piped up "Your smile lights up the room", [/B]. Well this compliment he understood, and he agreed with it. He was not embarrassed.

Hady knew she had only given half an answer to the first question therefore she'd only been half correct. It was fine with her though and she didn't mind it at all. At least she had said something.
This time when the next question was asking about dreams and such she sighed softly to herself. Mostly all the same answers were being given already. No need in repeating them again. Taking to her notes once more the lady snake continued to write down what was being said around her while she herself kept silent on this one. There was plenty of time to answer any of questions that may be asked during this lesson.

Right now, he was at his most comfortable. In a room with friends and tea and compliments and a Professor that told him he'd given a great answer even though it wasn't the right one. It was all he needed to boost his confidence; something that took a beating every time he was required to do wand work. The boy was busy sipping at his tea so he didn't notice at first when Ellery joined them on the comfy bed and Olly started snuggling with her.
It was okay, he didn't have anything against her, so long as she didn't get really super loud in class 'cause then his quill would start paying more attention to HER than the Professor and his notes would be coming from the wrong place. So yeah, she got a dimpled smile when he DID finally realize she'd joined them.
You look like you give good hugs!
Blaise watched the clouds around them changing colour as the Professor spoke, narrating the change himself so his quill could make good note of it. "Some dreams require no effort to remember because they're SO weird or creepy or amazing that they stay with you even when you try to forget them. Relaying the dream to a quick quotes quill somewhat preserves the memory too."
It didn't always get the dream exactly as it happened but who cared? Neither was real anyway.

...................... it was dreams, and just like that, this class became a nightmare.
He peered at the two girls beside him, Hady and Norah. Jeez. Could this have been any worse?
Zeke shifted uncomfortably, tapping his quill against his leg as if he were attempting to burn through a sugar-rush. No chance. No chance. His heels bounced gently, and at this moment his fight or flight reflex was most definitely set to flight mode.
Why dreams?! WHY?!
Zeke didn't answer Professor Cassie's questions, nor did he listen to other peoples' responses, and notes? notes weren't happening either.

You know, Phillip STILL thought that his button was being flirtatious. NOBODY made compliments like that. At least, not to HIM. Wasn't it weird? Didn't other people think it was weird? Or was it just him?
Shrug.
Pulling out his writing things, the boy started making a few notes about the topic. Dreams. DREAAAAAMS. Interesting topic, wasn't it? Like those stupid star signs that you can't help but look at the meanings for, even if you didn't believe any of them. He was certainly interested to see what these MEANT but was he going to believe it? Uh. We'll see.
Wait. Hold on. "Professaaaaaaah!" YOO-HOO! HELLO! "What if you don't remember your dreams in the first place?" Because knowing what this boy's memory was like, he would be surprised if he even remembered what he had for breakfast that day.
Angel was trying to think of what it might be called. In the end she couldn't think and so she had an idea, something that probably was wrong but it was worth guess. She raised her hand and smiled. "Is it called Dream Catching?" Angel had no idea but she would wait and see what the Professor had to say.

Noelle snuggled into the bed and reaches into her sack to get her self inking quill and parchment. She started taking notes. Of course, it was just the question the professor had asked. She listened to all the answers the others in class had given. She wasn't sure what dream divination was to be honest, but it sounded amazing!!
If only she could have her dreams interpreted. That would be fun.
And how did one remember dreams? Because Noelle had a feeling she had some amazing dreams but when she woke up, half the time she couldn't remember them. Oh no. Did that mean she couldn't be a Seer if she couldn't remember her dreams?? Pouting ensued.
Noelles attention snapped to Sabbie as he began talking. Whoa... He knew so much more than she did about this stuff. She was impressed. She wrote down what he had said because it was important... At least she thought.
Her snap went off again. "Youre brilliant!" The button was so true. She grinned when Sabbies button went off. Blushing. Darn the blushing. But she beamed because she wanted to keep the room bright.
Gahhhhh he was wrong but the Professor had said that was still a good suggestion. Milo had tried really hard to think outside of the box but it was dream Divination.

She snapped for his answer and grinned, "That is a great idea! We always dream, but we don't always remember. Our thoughts change into other things and the dream slips away, but if we can think for a few minutes before getting up it could help us remember then write it down."

Eeeeer. "Dreamomancy?" he offered. Well. It was worth a shot. At least he was putting himself out there, Professor. Or maybe it was sleepomancy? Could also be bedomancy, even. That'd explain the beds.
And also he had no idea how people remembered their dreams. It just sort of happened? Like sometimes you'd wake up and your dream would just be in your head. And other times it wouldn't. Just science. Was there really a method to the madness?
She gave Zander snaps too, "Not quite, but such a great guess!" Beaming at his effort, she loved effort!

" Honestly she just loved teaching these brilliant minds. "Now it was said that Oneiromancy or dream interpretation can be used to figure out many things. Dreams can solve problems that you are struggling with, predict things that will happen in your future, or warn you about something in your life that needs to be changed."
Making sure the clouds were white and fluffy again, she didn't want nightmares to cloud the positive in the room, but a loud thud could have scared a few when Leo's kneazle jumped from the bookcase in the back of the room. Cassie glanced at her for just a moment, she didn't have the timing Cassie hoped. No she was suppose to jump during the dark cloud part.
"Now it was mentioned that dreams happen when the eyes are dancing, this dancing is REM sleep. It is when you are in your deepest sleep. Sometimes dreams happen because our mind is so focused on something that it's all we can think about. Maybe your parents had told you no, or maybe something had happened that you can't get out of your mind whether you want to or not. Your dreams end up becoming those thoughts. It is your mind trying to work through the issues. Help you in ways you might not figure out awake. If you turn to page 520 in your book you will find the chapter about dreams. There you will find different meanings to different things. I want you to take a few moments and randomly pick a word in the book and tell us the meaning." She opened the book and turned to Daughter, "For example dreaming of a daughter means signifies that many displeasing incidents will give way to pleasure and harmony. If in the dream. I'll give you ten minutes to find your word."
She was going to sip her tea and pet a now perched on her bed chair Madonna."[/b]

Of course his silly Sleepomancy answer was downright incorrect. But Cassie seemed to appreciate it, didn't she? That was good enough for Adi would was not one bit discouraged about his reply. He made his notes and was suddenly startled when a sound happened. He looked around. Oh! It was only one of the many familiar felines that wandered about the Castle. Why was he being a 'fraidy cat? LOL! Geddit? Gosh, he was even hilarious in his own head.
Ehem. If anyone knew the amount of times he dreamt of Hippogriffs, they would think he was crazy. Oh wait, he WAS crazy. Pulling his text towards him, he flipped to the specified page. Soooo, which word to choose? Adi didn't know so he placed Bruce in front of the book and used one of its front paws to randomly select a word while he closed his eyes.
Once his brown eyes were opened again, he peered down at Bruce's selected word. He snorted. Macaroni. The word was macaroni. "Hungry, huh, Bruce?'' Hehe. The Puffer raised his hand, the other one clutching Bruce still. "Macaroni eating means small losses. If it's in a large amount this means money will be saved and if a young lady dreams of it, it means she'll soon have a stranger in life.''

Dream interpretations! Now this topic sure is an interesting one. Ethan would sometimes wonder about the dreams he could remember and what it meant. Some of the meanings were obvious to him, and some were super elusive, that he can’t even be bothered to know what it meant. But with this information, maybe it can shed some light to some of his thoughts.
Following the professor’s order, he opened his book to page 520, and picked out a random word. His eyes landed on the word ‘Detective’.
Was it coincidence or what?
Raising his hand, Ethan recited from his book. “Professor? It says here that when you dream of a Detective, keeping in your wake when you are innocent of charges preferred, denotes that fortune and honor are drawing nearer to you each day; but if you feel yourself guilty, you are likely to find your reputation at stake, and friends will turn from you. For a young woman, this is not a fortunate dream..” Ethan placed his hand down and grinned at the woman. It only took seconds for his button to show the message, ‘The shade of your lipstick looks nice on you!’
Well, definitely, that didn’t come from him. He was oblivious to such details.

Henric going to choose the word 'Badger'...because it was the only word he could think of right now. Honestly, he did dream about badgers before...kind of weird if they asked him. But, badgers represented his house too so there could be a meaning behind this dream he had. He grabbed the textbook and flipped the pages to page 520 as instructed.*Flip*...*Flip*..."Merlin...this book is thick, who can actually read this..."Henric thought.
He didn't forget to snap for his classmate answers, of course...before raising his hand,"I have search the word 'Badger', it says here it is a sign of luck after battles with hardships...wow...I didn't know that..."
She didn't get the answer for her question from the Professor. Oh well, never mind. She could always visit her after the class and ask her the question.
Candice listened as the Professor explained to them about REM sleep and dreams. And now she asked the class to open their book. 520....520...520...Ah! Here its!
The fist word she saw when she opened the page was 'Throne'. She raised her hands in the air. "It says in the book that if we dream of sitting on a throne we will rapidly rise to favor and fortune. And it means much disappointment for us if we dream descend from the throne. If we dream someone else sitting on the throne, we will succeed to wealth through the favor of others." Dreaming of throne seem like a good thing except the descending part.
And the button has something to say too.
"You smell like candy"
Say what now button?

Yoongi wanted to say something back to Olympia but he merely smiled at her because the Professor was busy teaching a class and he didn't want to be rude and interrupt her. He would talk to her later or something. Instead, he went back to -snap snap snaaaaapping- as answers were given and writing down notes with his pink flamingo quill.
The next bit they had to use their textbooks. Yoongi reached for his bag that stood on the ground next to the chair bed and pulled out the copy. He opened it up, flipped the pages and placed it on his lap when he got the right one.
He remembered dreaming about a castle once, not long ago so instead of randomly choosing a word he decided to see what his own dream had meant. "I pick castle because i actually dreamed of a castle a few nights ago..lets see..." he traveled down with his finger until he got to the C "ah! the castle i had was...that i am likely to become romantic in my tastes, and care should be taken that i do not contract an undesirable marriage or engagement"
.....................................He immediately thought of what Professor Dakest had said about Ava calling him Flower Boy and that it COULD be related to weddings. O_______o

As the lesson progressed Hady cast a quick glance beside her at Zeke noticing that he hadn't answered the question either nor was he taking any notes. Lightly nudging him with her elbow she whispered a quiet, "You okay?" while giving him a curious look.
Did they really have to speak about their dreams? She didn't exactly want to. Could she maybe write it down instead and be done with it all? Sighing softly she laid her parchment and quill down on her lap and pulled out her textbook from her bag. Laying it on her knee she carefully flipped through it's pages until she came to the correct page. 520 there it was.
Using her finger to scan through it's page she eventually came across something that was listed and was in the most current dream she could remember. From just the other night actually or well last night. Reading what it had to say she wrinkled her nose a bit before slowly lifting her hand into the air. "It says that dreaming of a raccoon means you're being deceived by enemies acting friendly."
Well um alright then. Cause this was something she wanted to hear right now. Sigh. Sticking her parchment into her textbook at the page of 520 she closed the book and set it down at her side before dropping her gaze onto her lap. Dreams had weird meanings.

Was it nap time yet? It was really hard to expect a girl to stay awake in these super comfy conditions. As it was though, her eyes remained open. Her mind was pretty alert too. What you could normally expect out of her anyways.
She opened her book and skimmed the T's. No tacos. Too bad. Although, it was pretty obvious what that meant when you dreamed of them. Her finger then scanned the B's. No batman either. Boo. Fine. It was looking like some random word was going to happen.
Closing her eyes, she decided that whatever word her finger touched would be the one she would share with the class. Upon opening her eyes, she noticed that her finger was on tea. BORING.
Or was it....
Her hand was in the air, and when it was her turn, she told all she knew about dreaming of tea. "If you dream of brewing tea it means that you will be guilty of indiscreet actions. You will be really remorseful about it too." At least that's what the textbook says.

So today, they weren't gonna have sleepover. But doing dream interpretations. Boo.... Ava just listened everybody answered the questions while she was... Doodling. Yeah, she did draw like a cartoon sleeping with the stars and the snoring. Heheheh...
And now they're gonna find the meaning of their dreams! Oooooh! A few days ago she remembered that she was flying on her dream. Looking up on her textbook, she found what's the meaning of flying. "Professor? It says that dream of flying high through a space, denotes marital calamities." The lioness answered once she raised her hand.

Ugh, the Professor was SO right. It was the absolute worst when you couldn't get a bad dream out of your head and you walked around the whole day with it stuck there in your head. That happened to him once or twice before but they were never bad enough to make his father give him a memory changing potion--as much as he pleaded. Thankfully they didn't stick around for much longer than that day or the other.
Blaise watched his quill become side tracked from the notes it was taking by the sudden thud sound that came from the back of the room.
That....was gonna make for some interesting notes when he got to that part. Anyway, focus back on the Professor, the boy threw open his textbook to find a word. He already knew which one HE was looking for and once he found it his hand was waving high in the air.
"It says that if you dream about quills it'll mean a 'literary inclined season of success'." See that? Quills meant success, so maybe people would stop looking at his weird when it started floating closer to take their quotes. People around here were real paranoid.

[color=#3ab9bd]With a small grin left over from being RIGHT, Norah snapped for all her classmates, then picked up her quill. This REM sleep stuff was COOL. Maybe she could be a professional dream studier when she grew up. Could you do that? Just study dreams? One time she'd met somebody who spent their entire life studying the pams of peoples hands except she'd told Norah that she was going to find "great love" soon and that sure hadn't happened. So the palm thing was clearly a lie. 'Cause she was doomed and everybody and their grandmother knew it. DREAMS could be the real deal, though. They came right out of your brain, so they had to count for something.
She flipped to the indicated page and went straight to the section with the first letter of her name. The very first word on that list was 'Nails' so she read the explanation once, and then again, and put a hand in the air. "If you dream about nails then you're going to work a lot and then not be rewarded for it. Usually it'll be honorable work 'cept if the nails are rusty they mean bad illness type things." Ta da! It wasn't a very good explanation, but at least the dreamer was working hard. That had to count for something.
