NOTE: Fatigue points ONLY need to be used when you are physically attacking someone, or avoiding a spell. All other maneuverings around the hall do not need to be accounted for.

A referee (Professor Flamsteed or Dakest) will be assigned to your duel and present. They will only interfere if there is need, including foul play, serious injury or unacceptable or illogical use of spells.
OOC: Each duel must be completed by no later than October 24, midnight GMT-6 (OOC). Remember that a duel ends when one dueler has lost ALL magic or ALL health points. Please make duels a minimum of 3 posts each.
These first duels will be a trail run of sorts. The point system for the spells and physical actions was done by thought and hasn't been tested. You all are the guinea pigs. Let me know how it goes If you find that there are be difficulties in the weight of points, please let me know. If there are spells missing you think should be included, please let me know.
If you have questions, please ask. Also, if for some reason you cannot complete or start your duel, please let both me and your partner know. We will work something out.
Remember: duelers MUST keep track of their own points as they go. At the top of their post (in the tag line) they must include their current standing of points, as they are at the BEGINNING of that post. At the bottom of their post, they must include a 'spoiler' tag, including the spells which they've cast (and the directionallity of the spell, so the opponent can easily reference the potential damage to themselves), the spell(s) that have affected them (if any) and their own final Point Standing for that post.

Yoongi had taken the Professor’s “threat” that anyone who beat him in a duel would get extra health points very seriously even though he had been lying And had trained for his upcoming duel against one of the Ravenclaws.
Entering the arena dressed in his dueling outfit and his phoenix feathered wand at the ready. He smiled at Tia , even did a little wave and told her a quick “good luck” before he bowed like was shown in the meeting to begin the duel. The moment he bowed, his facial expressions changed. He wasn’t smiling anymore but a look of concentration appeared on it as he raised his wand. “Colloshoo!” He shouted and directed his wand at the girl’s feet.

Sorry these things weren't outlined clearly before....
1) If you are using non-verbal spells, be be advised that they cost an additional -25 magic points on TOP of the cost of using that spell. Please clarify whether a spell is non-verbal or not.
2) If you cast a spell, or try, and it fails for your character (as in YOU RP it not working) point loss still occurs for the attempt to cast (think of the energy a wizard/witch has to expend trying to do magic)
3)Also, don't worry about putting a point tracker at the top of your post. Please just (in the title of your post, put Health, Magic, and Fatigue points at the START of that post (so whatever they were ending at the last post and BEFORE any spells hit or other spells are cast)....
i.e. Post A ends with 20 Health, 5 Magic and 0 Fatigue --> please title post B with the same. (Just makes for easier point tracking :3)
4) Fatigue points are ONLY depleted if you are doing a physical attack or maneuver to defend against an attack. Duelers can move about freely, jump on the spot and so forth, so long as they aren't actively defending against an attack or doing an offensive attack

If you have already used these spells, don't worry about them, please still follow through as per the previous guidelines/point systems for the spells. If you haven't, and are considering them, these are the new rules for Expelliarmus and Stupefy. See the Q & A thread for more details
SPOILER!!: Expelliarmus
Expelliarmus:Disarms the target (of whatever they are holding) and can be used to knock-back a target if cast forcefully enough

M: -15 (ONLY if spell disarms caster of wand)

Additional Effects: If hit by the spell, victim MUST loose their grip on whatever they are holding. If it is their wand, -15 magic points applies. If their wand is disarmed, the victim can go after it without a cost of loosing fatigue points.
After Blaise Bellaire was knocked-out with a stupefy spell, it has been banned from the club. Reason for this is that the Tournament Duels are supposed to help students practice dueling, and having a K/O isn't the best way to do this. Therefore, Stupefy will be a spell permitted only in practice sessions and Challenges, as per the new point system:

Tia felt almost like this dueling club was the ultimate test. She wasn't expecting to be some sort of "master dueler", but she felt like knowing how to defend oneself would be advantageous to whatever her chosen career might be. Even though she was nearly positive she wasn't cut out for auror work, she wasn't about to rule anything out. Not yet, at the focal point of her advanced training. Smiling at the Gryffindor across from her, she did a little bow and before she was about to cast something of her own, he was quick thinking and cast a spell at her feet.
Talk about not giving her a moment. Well then she supposed it could be worse; having her feet stuck to the ground just meant she couldn't move to dodge future spells.
"Avis!" Tia call out, a flock of birds emitting from her wand tip. "Oppugno" she directed the birds towards Yoongi's head as a distraction.

Yoongi didn’t have time to see if his spell had worked because the Ravenclaw had reacted fast and before he knew it a flock of birds were flying in his direction. Ooooh no she didn’t! "Not my faaaaace!" he whined as he felt the evil little creatures pecking at his head. He was extra cautious about his face and it was probably his top priority to protect it cause he didn't want to look like Dakest, no offence sir, and he had to do something NOW. Yoongi pointed his wand at them and mumbled “Aguamenti” A jet of water came out of it and shot the birds away from his head.
Though he knew that in the back of his mind that this was probably just a distraction. He would have done that anyways. So he kept his eyes on the girl while he used the water spell to get rid of the birds, watching her movements and then directed to strong blast of water towards Tia. Grinning.

Once she saw the flock of birds were a success at distracting her peer she pointed her wand at her feet and cast "Finite" to end the spell gluing her feet to the ground. She stepped from side to side, smiling in contentment only to be greeted in the face with a mouthful of water.
Not cool, Yoongi. Not cool.
Frowning, she flicked her wand and cast the first (and easiest) spell to come into mind. "Expelliarmus!" She aimed in the direction of Yoongi's wand arm.

ONE finite would be required to get rid of the attacking and the birds. If it was say, Rope and Ice, however, these are two separate spells that would need separate Finite's to cancel)

With the flock of birds gone and seeing that Tia was moving again, Yoongi still cheered that his water spell had hit its target. But the cheering wasn’t lasting long because before he knew it, red light sped towards him and he knew which spell she had casted despite not having heard her over his cheering. And it was not good. At least not if it hit him. How could he duel without a wand?!
Reacting instinctively, the Gryffindor dived to the side , not seeing but feeling the magic rush away from him. He wasn’t giving up THAT easily! Now on the ground, Yoongi flicked his wand and casted a “Everte Statum!” before he said the Disillusionment Charm next while pointing at himself. Looking down to see if he was *invisible* and seeing the ground through him, he got up and moved to the left wall. Reaching it, the Gryffindor used his camouflage to get closer to the Ravenclaw's side of the arena.
Disillusionment Charm: Target blends in with its surroundings (Chameleon Charm) (casted on himself)

It was disappointing, in many ways, to hear the grandfather clock set off it's first strike, and to see the shield wall rise up in the middle of the dueling court. Sabel had, admittedly, been curious as to what tactics Hyland might make use of under the disillusionment charm. Unfortunatelly, it seemed those tactics would have to take a sideline on the reserve for the next round of duels.
Casting a quick finite about the arena, Sabel beckoned Hyland back over. When all three were at the center of the arena, he glanced between the two duelers. "An extremely close call." The golden spark went above Mancini's head. "But Ms. Mancini takes title of winner today."
Though really, an excellent job to the both of them.
