Ho ho ho, MERRY CHRISTMAS! This Christmas Eve, all students remaining at Hogwarts over the Christmas break have been invited to join the staff in the Great Hall for a delicious annual Hogwarts feast! As you enter the hall, rather than the staff dais and four house tables you're usually accustomed to, you will see one big table in the center with enough room for everyone. Surrounding the walls are the trees that you helped decorate, and the fires, which are warm and welcoming. Soon, we will be joined with guests so don't skip the meal even if you weren't hungry.
Come on in, choose a seat and put on your Christmas hat. Your Secret Santa letters will appear during the feast, so keep an eye on those owls!

He was not sure on how to react. It made him question lots of things like did he liked Kaycee? Sure she was pretty but...Alright he was thinking too much, it was only a kiss not a marriage proposal so, chill Hugo. Okay, good.
"I think there's one in the entrance" or so he thought "Or maybe the ceiling will surprise us with mistletoes falling from it"
Kaycee couldn't agree with that. Like. Who decided that mistletoe meant you needed to kiss someone.
Actually, now that she thought about it, it all made sense. She could picture someone wanting to kiss someone and make up some sort of weird tradition because there happened to be mistletoe around.
She stood up after the announcement. Whatever. Cool. Not really what she was interested but she'd be polite enough to wait for it to be over.
"Lead on then." She would assume "think" meant he knew where some was.

Dylan entered the feast, his eyes quickly looking around the great hall for his girlfriend, Bleu. It didn't take long to spot her and he couldn't help but smile at the sight of her. He gave her a wave before making his way over and wrapping his arms around her and sitting beside her. "Hey, cutie," He greeted, planting a kiss on her cheek. "How are you?"

"Thank you, my dear, and a Merry Christmas to you as well. I'm sorry we haven't been formerly introduced before. What is it you teach?"
"Wouldn't that be lovely? You didn't miss much... the food and merriment, and the snowing began just before you came in, but the feel is really quite festive." Cassandra was very fond of the current Headmaster, and she was pleased he'd seated himself beside her. He was kind and very wise, both of which had made all their dealings thus far pleasant.
She should get on with things while she had a captive audience, right? Cassandra gave Botros one last smile before rising and raising a hand to quiet the table of students. "Please don't stop eating on my account, but I would very much appreciate your attention. The Board of Governors is very pleased to join with you on this festive occasion, not only to celebrate the holiday, but also to announce something quite exciting. As you probably witnessed at your first camp, there was a winner selected from among the participants. At the end of the term, you will have selected five very lucky winners, and these winner will have the opportunity to either participate in a Ministry internship or a Quidditch stadium tour and game, depending on the age of the winner. You'll also have the opportunity to have dinner with the Minister for Magic. Headmaster Botros will have more information to share with you about how the winners are selected, but I wanted to be the very first to tell you all about our exciting news!"
Beatrice bowed her head slightly and said "Thank you!" Yes, MERRY CHRISTMAS to all. "I teach Transfiguration. Beatrice York," she introduced herself.
And then as she stood and hushed the hall, Beatrice gave her undivided attention. Of course this announcement came with no shock, but she was eager to see the reactions of the students. She expected a great deal of excitement. After all, the Puffer herself was super excited about it all. Who wouldn't want to win what the Board of Governor's was offering them?

"Oh yeah I would love a Christmas cracker." he grinned and understood the term and accepted the nice gesture. He ate it and thought it was pretty good.
What was christmas like in durmstrang? He chewed his food and thought about it for a minute. He took a swig of his pumpkin juice and answered, "Well it was this decorated. I mean these goblets are really fancy..." he gestured towards his own cup. "The headmaster would make us cook our own food for the feast. We didn't have elves making the food for us.." he shrugged but he appreciated it all the same. "I like it here much better of course." he smiled and took more bites into his delicious food. "Did you get everything you wished for this holiday?" he asked.
Beatrice smiled warmly at the dear lad who seemed to be rather... impressed? with the spell. But thankfully he pulled himself together to take it and put it on. "Oh wonderfully festive, Colt!" She said happily, replacing her own hat. Matchies now!
What? Beatrice... frowned. "They..." she started, but stopped. No, he was here NOW, that was all that mattered. Was it? But honestly, how barbaric, making students cook their own food for the Christmas feast. And no house elves making food? But... they loved cooking, didn't they? Was that only if one was nice to the elves? Perhaps... At least he didn't seem to foster any bitterness about the whole experience. "Well I'm glad you're enjoying your holidays here, Colt." That made it all the more exciting.
After swallowing more food, Beatrice nodded, "I did! I got some more Cello polish, and some books, and my cat got a new sleeping pillow. Lots of sweets too." LOTS. She didn't think she'd have to buy any more sweets to fill up the bowls in her office and classroom anymore.

"The five winners we're talking about are the students who collect most points on the Camp Tracker in the student bulletin. Those are the ones who show house and school spirit, and participate in the activities held over the term," he explained briefly and added, "It's getting late, so if you haven't yet, I urge you to finish your meal before we turn in for the night. Thanks everyone for sharing this very blessed evening with your schoolmates. Those times are sacred and very dear as you get older. Believe me, I know." With a final beam at the kids, Botros sat back down to continue his meal.
And then the lovely Headmaster gave his side of the speech. Beatrice happily listened to everything he said, and stole a glance over the faces of the students. Who was super excited about this announcement? Beatrice CERTAINLY was! She couldn't wait for the other Camps and to see how much fun everyone had.
And at his reminder, not wanting to let any food go to waste, or any OWLS to eat from her plate, Beatrice continued eating her food, going now for the desserts.
CASSANDRA RAE-BRANXTON WAS AT THEIR CHRISTMAS PARTY.
Sophie tried to contain her excitement as long as she could, but the VERY MOMENT that Botros finished the speech and went back to feasting, Soph darted over to where the woman was, her eyes sparkling with delight to match the huge smile on her face.
"Excuse me, Mrs. Rae-Branxton? Mo's mum?" Um. UM. UNCHARACTERISTIC SOPHIE BROWN STAGE FRIGHT. "Hi. You look enchanting. I mean, I like your Christmas outfit. It suits you really well." Ahem. "S'nice to see you again." Soph gave a little curtsy, delicately holding out the sides of her sweater like it was a dress, and convinced herself that Mo would have been very, very embarrassed with her antics right now.
Too bad, nerd.
Though she WAS acting awfully ridiculous. But it was EXCITING because she was RELATED TO ONE OF HER GREATEST HEROES. Well... kind of SORT OF RELATED, as her cousin was married to the woman's DAUGHTER, so that made her like... err... something weird to her. Erm. Anyway.
"M'sorry you have to be here on Christmas eve." Pause. "D'you get to go be with Mo and Vivi soon? And Max and the babies and Cat and everyone?" Were they gonna have a big family Christmas? "Is Anjelica Lainey going to be there? Are you guys still best friends?" Just WONDERING, OKAY?

Well, wasn't this just the most adorable stalker of all time? Cassandra took in the girl's eager smile and the curtsying and the badge. It probably wouldn't do the girl any favors to remind her that they'd met at both Vivi's wedding and Mo's wedding, and that at every turn, she'd insisted that the girl call her Cassandra.
It wasn't likely Sophie Brown ever would call her that, but anything was better than "Mo's mum". Maybe she should try "Teddy and Fifi's grandmum" and see if it stuck better.
"I don't mind being here, my dear, especially since it was a chance to visit with all of you and eat such wonderful food. We have several family celebrations, and our big one is actually on Christmas day. Mo and Cat will be there, as well as Vivi and Max and my grandchildren." From anyone else, those would be highly personal questions. "And yes, Anj comes to that celebration. She's married to my brother."

Eyes still shimmering with elation, Sophie tried her very best to stand still and not fidget too much during Rae's response, but she couldn't HELP IT because the excitement was trying to BURST FROM HER BEING.
So sincere, she was, and so KIND to not mind sacrificing some of her time to come be with them. Soph sighed dreamily, a goofy sort of smile on her face, and she nodded along in comprehension with every single word the woman spoke. The whole FAMILY WAS GOING TO BE THERE, INCLUDING HER BEST FRIEND. Merlin's beard, what Sophie Brown wouldn't have given to be able to be at THAT celebration.
"That sounds like the best party of all time." Maybe some year SHE would get lucky enough to be invited as Max's cousin and Cat and Mo's favorite? Eh? Ehhh? She was still smiling, a bit dazed as she went on, "I'm glad your life is what it is, ma'am. You deserve all these good things and a good life and a good family and a good best friend and safety for everyone after everything you've been through."
There was another pause, but then Soph leaned in a little, lowering her voice so Botros wouldn't severely judge Sophie Brown for making a fool of herself, "I dunno if Mo's told you, but you're kind of my favorite heroine of all time. Well, I like Hermione Granger, too, 'cause she and I share identical wand types and the Ollivander's Wandmaker said that means I'm gonna be a great witch like her, but I think you're a beautiful example of bravery and kindness and compassion and brilliance and I think anyone would be lucky to even be an ounce as influential and inspirational and so purely good as you. So." She straightened up and smiled, offering a short shrug. "Thanks for settin' the bar high, 'n for being the coolest Ravenclaw role model of all time, 'n thanks for your children, too. I like 'em a lot."

She was probably gonna go now.
It never did any good to ask if Sophie Brown was for real, because Mo had insisted for years and years that, in spite of appearances, the Ravenclaw was 100% real. And sincere. And just... goofy and maybe a little intimidating. And Cassandra wasn't intimidated by much.
"It'll be a really lovely time. The babies are far too young to remember their first Christmas, but they'll get passed around and I have the most adorable little hats for them to wear." Vivi would hate them, and that was part of why they were funny. Cassandra's polite smile slipped at Sophie's mention of 'everything you've been through', but it was back in place a moment later.
"Thank you for your kind words, my dear. I don't suppose I believe I should be anyone's heroine, but at least you admire me for reasons I can be proud of. And you seem to be well on your way to be the kind of witch you can be proud of as well. Head Girl, a promising future. Good luck to you, and feel free to owl me if you need any advice."

One would think her face would hurt from smiling this much, but Sophie was actually feeling just fine and dandy, thank you, as her smile actually grew the more the woman talked, and there was even a giggle at the mention of little hats for the babies. "That's good. They're lucky kids to have grandparents like you 'n m'Aunt Erin. Spoiled rotten, they are, I reckon." As if Max and Vivi probably didn't already spoil them rotten themselves.
Those were probably the luckiest babies in the whole world.
At Mo's mum's nice little spiel, Soph broke eye contact, her cheeks flushing ever-so slightly, and she shook her head fervently in protest. "That's a dangerous offer," because Sophie needed a LOT of advice lately, "but thank you all the same, ma'am. Would y'mind giving Mo 'n Cat an extra hug from me when y'see 'em? I miss 'em an awful lot." Not that she didn't miss Vivi or Max, but well... she just missed Mo and Cat extra, okay?
There was some bashful sort of shuffling of the Head Girl's feet happening as she realized she'd very likely overstayed her welcome at this end of the table, and then she forced a smile, "Sorry for interrupting, I'll let you get back to the feast. Thanks for the chat." She was just gonna... go.

SPOILER!!: Secret Santa Letter
Dear Benjamin Atreyu,
You. Are. Beautiful. Inside and out. I want to tell you how much you are appreciated. Without you, this world would not be quite the same. If it weren't for you, I probably would not be awake right now (Because I'm Writing this letter). I wouldn't be as happy as I am now knowing that this letter might make your day brighter.Dear, admirable stranger - Do me a favor. Look around you. Look up. Look down. Look at yourself. Deep into yourself. Are you happy? Are you happy as you could be? Should be? What would make you happier, just what would make you smile? One hour ago, 5 minutes ago, until the VERY last second you opened this letter, you didn't know I existed. But now stranger, we will forever be connected in a sense of anonymity! We're friends! I want the best for you. I want you to live a remarkable, joyous life. I wish you only good things, and long-lasting health, and wisdom and sensibility. Because that is what a friend does for another. Stranger, friend, brand new acquaintance-
I CHALLENGE you:
To try something different each and every day of your life. To do what makes you happy. To live without regrets. To make new friends and meet different people! To breathe and feel at peace. To ACCEPT YOURSELF for who you are.
Life is already difficult. Why make it any harder?
I hope the best for you.
Your Secret Santa
Oh cool, the owl was heading their way. Benny had noticed it as it swooped towards Adi, dropping off a Secret Santa letter to his friend after landing on him. Silly owl! The bird moving onto him with a few hops and a dropped piece of silverware or two as it was displaced by the creature’s movements. “Thanks,” he said, accepting the offered letter before giving it a scratch on the head and letting it on its merry way to the next student as he opened up his letter.
As he started to read it, he couldn’t help but be confused. And he was certainly curious as to whom it was sent from. The words were uplifting yet left him dazed and Benny’s eyes darted around the table as if spying to see some reaction from the giver at his receipt of the letter. Nothing stood out so he went back to reading it again, only drawn out as someone spoke to him.

She'd have to get over there and help a little, it would be so fun!
Snaps from Professor Morgan got a small smile from Benny. “I am….And I hope you are too, Professor.” She certainly seemed to be having a good time, but then she usually was pretty upbeat about all the things. He shook his head at her question, having noticed where her attention had gone. “No, I haven’t. Not sure I’d be much help.”

Didn't want to admit it out loud or anything, but Zander had been worried... Especially after what he had read in the aparecium, though that was a rubbish publication. Y'know, some times it had some truth in it.
The food? Yeah the food was pretty great. Not that it wasn't good normally, but the house elves tended to try and outdo themselves each and every special meal they prepared like holidays and feasts. "They all certainly smell delicious." He hadn't been eating that much as of yet. Just a few tasty nibbles and and a couple sips and swallows of cider.

He just needed to make sure he had heard correctly. He feigned a disappointed look now. "That's not much of a present,'' he teased back.
Adi carefully opened his letter to read the contents, grinning at what he read. Clearly it wasn't a Hufflepuff who was his Santa but he liked the message all the same. Especially the quote. Yep! He would ALWAYS try to be that rainbow in someone's cloud. Thank you for this, Secret Santa!
So yeah, he had clearly taken his bestie by surprise by his offer to let him do magic on him. Well duh, Adi, didn’t know know he was a glutten for punishment. “Yeah I’m sure,” Benny assured the Hufflepuff, “Of course if you don’t want to…” Because he supposed there was a chance of reluctance on the part of his companion. Small…but still ultimately possible. And then there was something else catching his attention…

…like the little glittery white flakes falling down around him. And upon him. It was a white Christmas!! Yeah, there was certainly some outdoing going on because Benny couldn’t think of a better holiday at Hogwarts at the moment and he had been at the school for all of them.

"I'm looking forward to my crackers, Adi. Don't forget them." Hehe. "I think everyone took part in Secret Santa. I hope my person likes their gift." That would be nice.
Sad about having only one Christmas at Hogwarts?
Benny could see that being something to be sad about. “Though on the plus side, it’s one more than you had the possibility of.” After all, she could have went home like her original plan, or not come to Hogwarts for her final year at all. The latter being a thought that brought some discomfort with it. Paulina was a nice addition to their graduating class after all.

Benny had simply nodded in acknowledgment of the woman’s entrance but when she stood up and spoke up, he was willing to give her the attention she asked for. Though he wasn’t expecting what was coming out of her mouth. It seemed the challenges had the possibility have earning the winners perks. Very interesting perks. Well except the dinner with the minister. No offense to the man, but he wasn’t exactly one for stuff like that.

The question about the move made her nod her head. "It is really far but my father wanted a change. A completely new start I guess you could say." And if this move wasn't a BIG change then the girl snake didn't know what was.
Zander couldn't help but laugh either. Merlin. This owl really was CLUMSY. "Merlin, poor guy." He said looking over just in time to witness another failed letter landing. "He's probably tired from all these deliveries." You'd think Hogwarts would invest in having more than one Secret Santa Delivery Owl. Especially when there were so many secret santas out there. "Errrr, I have no clue," he replied giving his head a nice scratch. "I hope so though, the suspense is killing me." Also, aheeeeeeeeeeem. But also if he spoke about this any longer he'd probably end up spilling who he was secret santa for so yeah, better not.
Ahem.
"Oh," he nodded, deciding that her father had an alright reason after all. "I've lived in the same house my entire life." Which was weird. Change could've been nice, maybe. Eh.

Y'know, as if sitting through two yearly feast speeches wasn't enough, they had another one too? Zander should've known. This whole feast event was just another ploy to get them all in one place. But he was respectful, shutting his mouth and turning to face this random BoG person. Ah, thank merlin. He wasn't going to stop eating on her behalf, thanks! Quidditch tour? That was eh. Zander didn't understand Quidditch and it was even harder to figure out now that they didn't have school teams to cheer for.
And he didn't particularly care for a dinner with the Minister either.
BUT what DID catch his attention was the Ministry Internship????
Zander NEEDED that. Well only because he wasn't sure what to do once Hogwarts was over. Sophie was planning on uni, he was sure. And everyone else had plans... Except, Zander had no idea. An internship though? That... That could give ideas? Yes. Zander wanted that.
But errr, how were these wins scaled because uhum. That might be an issue.

Merlin, there she went with that look again. How come he always felt like Candice was hardcore judging him? "Eeeer no, not really," he shrugged. What? He was telling the truth, okay? What more did it take? "Ah, why does everyone keep reminding me," the last year this, the last time that. "It's going great though... Just don't want it to end." So if everyone could quit reminding him that he was a Seventh Year that'd be absolutely dandy. "How are you enjoying Christmas so far?" Probably loads more than he was since it wasn't her last. But ahem, just a guess.

No matter where she was, either she was home or stay at school, Christmas is still Christmas.
The Gryffindor gave her a weak smile, but a smile nonetheless. "That's true," he nodded. Though, he wished it wasn't his last. "Christmas feast are my favorite," he commented looking at all the food. "The elves always make them extra special," he only knew because he had stayed behind at school a few times in the past. Man. He'd pay a million galleons to be having his first Hogwart's christmas feast. Ava didn't know how lucky she was.

Zander nodded in agreement, taking his fork and scooping something or another into his mouth. MHHHHMMM. He let out a satisfied hum, giving Benny a thumbs up as he did so. "Delicious," he smiled. And now if you'd excuse him, he was most likely going to stop paying attention to everyone in the room and focus in on the beautiful plate in front of him.
... Also, did Sophie know that Governors lady or something?

SPOILER!!: Zander
Eh.
Hady laughed softly nodding in agreement as she set the soggy letter down on the table. "He most likely is. Hopefully he gets a nice long break really soon." Poor owl definitely deserved it. All that flying about back and forth was enough to make anyone tired. Watching the owl fly off again her attention once more returned to the older boy near her. She didn't think they would easily be able to find out who sent the Secret Santa letters to them but it would be nice to know. A small grin graced her lips for a brief moment before it was gone and she didn't comment on the subject anymore.
"Nothing wrong with living in the same home. I've lived in house since I was around two and a half until we move." It's nice growing up in a familiar place. Building lots of memories. Moving would be nice to though. Hopefully.

Colt laughed and thought Professor York was pretty cool! She was a new teacher so he heard but these professors were more friendly than the ones at Durmstrang. Well the ones he had were kind of strict and stiff. They weren't that social in his opinion. He smiled and was certainly enjoying the festivities. "I am probably gonna gain thirty pounds from all this food but it is worth it." he joked with her a little bit. Oh wow she played the cello? He was impressed. "That is cool you love classical music. I have a cat at home too but we only give her toys." he shrugged. He looked around and wondered, "Do the house elves come out?" He never seen one yet.

Because it looked like other students just got their secret Santa letters. "Did your parents send you the Christmas present?"
Not a big fan of sugary foods? That should be a crime. He gasped at her and shook his head. "Man I love sugary foods. They make me happy.." he said continuing to take another bite of his cookie. "Yeah possibly. I didn't know they were doing secret santa letters. I would have done one for Kate." He winked and ate a little more of his cake too after finishing his cookie. Did his parents send him anything? He took a big swallow of his food and finished it down with milk before he spoke.
"Well my dad gave me a nice tools to use. He feels that I need handy tools to use when I am older. I mean I can see his point. They are military made which is nice and it is engraved." he smiled. As for his mother? "My mother gave me nice homemade pies and cookies. They are soo good. I got a new skateboard and clothes. She goes for the basic stuff. How about you?"
You've all got 24 hours to wrap your lovely and fun to stalk Christmas Rpies before the event closes at 9 am GMT tomorrow morning. We are so glad that you enjoyed celebrating christmas with us.

Dylan couldn't help but blush slightly when she called him handsome. He chuckled, giving her a small squeeze and letting his chin rest upon her shoulder. He closed his eyes for a second, enjoying the closeness with her. It had been so long since they had really hung out and he had missed her terribly.
"Well," he replied to her, looking at her with a smile, "I'm more than perfect now that I'm with you." He told her. "I've missed hanging around you, y'know." He added, giving her another small kiss on the cheek.
