SPOILER!!: Zeke
Was she just going to stand there?
Zeke nod his head to the seats opposite him, heck, she could lay down too if she wanted. It wasn't the comfiest thing in the world, but it wasn't so bad.
Eyebrows piquing, Zeke considered Hady's ambiguous response. Solved a few things? "Oh?" he questioned, wanting to know more. Had she sorted things out with Jaxon?... Jaxton? Whatever the losers name was. Or was it a thing with her parents?
In the end, words formed and he managed a reply to her counter-question. "Never better." He couldn't think of when things were better, and he was looking forward to the term starting - not so much for the lessons and things, but for the adventures and the familiar faces.
At his nod towards the seats across from him Hady figured she might as well stay. To keep him company and all that good stuff. With a small grin she nodded stepping inside the compartment and sliding the door shut. Setting Hagan down on the seat first she then sat down sideways so that her back was up against the window, one leg stretched out on the seat and the other leg hanging downward, foot barely hitting the floor.
"Yup. Decided Jaxon isn't worth my time or thoughts, if he wants me he knows how to find me." Accomplishment number one. Leaning her head against the window she turned it just enough to look at him and yet be comfortable all the while smoothing Hagan's fur as he took up his place laying against her leg a paw over his face. "Got back into dancing again...like how I was when I was younger. Just not as crazy but fun," she continued figuring she might as well clear things up so as not to confused him. "And well my parents...I've decided to move with my dad over the holiday break. It'll give him time to find a place and getting settled first." When she thought about things one at a time it was all very easy to handle.
Never better huh? Hady tilted her head at him a little with a small laugh. "How so?" Was it just life in general he was happy about or was it something else?

The book was one of their assigned texts, Davie recognized it now. Was it worn from this boy's diligent study or from being passed down from generation to generation though? He could almost hear the nagging voice of his mother saying he wouldn't know unless he stayed here and attempted to make a new friend, so stay he did. As Davie plopped down across from the reading boy, he reached into his pocket to pull out a licorice wand, actually, two licorice wands, in case the other boy wanted one.
He took a bite out of the first and waited to see if the other kid would respond to his question about Hogwarts. No? He was not excited? All he got back was a shrug. Davie didn't mind though. He wasn't a big talker himself. "Wand a licorice wand?" he said instead, offering him the uneaten, unwrapped one. After a small pause, to be polite, Davie added, "I'm going to be a first year too. I mean, I think you're reading our textbook, which is very informative but not recently updated, in my opinion." It didn't have anything about the last fifty or so years of the school's story, the coolest years (again in his little opinion) because his parents had gone there and taught there during that time.
"Is History your favorite subject?" he tried again, just in case the boy needed a break from his ambitious study of their school.
Though at first he'd been curious about what the other boy was bringing out of his pocket, Daxton's interest waned when he realised it was just a couple of sweets. He didn't much like sweets; there were lots of foods he couldn't tolerate, and anything sugary was just too sweet for this often bitter and salty child and his oh-so-sensitive taste buds. The smell of liquorice put him off even further, and Daxton was just shaking his head when he realised that those were entirely new sweets from the magical world. He wouldn't be able to get his hands on another one unless he could find one to steal, so Daxton changed tack and nodded instead. Yes, he wanted it. For science.
He took the sweet and immediately abandoned the book on his lap in favour of inspecting this new item. Or at least, inspecting the wrapper, because he didn't want to open it and get his hands all disgusting and sticky and smelling of liquorice. The concept of 'manners' was lost on Daxton, so the other boy didn't get so much as a thank you. He was still listening to him, at least, about the criticisms of their textbook, and Daxton found that he had to agree. He'd read the book twice now and still barely knew anything of any practical use. Nodding his agreement almost distractedly, Daxton removed the book from his lap, switching it for his notebook now that he had the opportunity to do so, feeling less locked into place by anxiety for the moment. He pushed the ball point pen out from the spiral binding and flipped to a free page in order to answer the boy.
'History, literature, art, science, music, lots of things, but they don't teach all those things at Hogwarts, I know that. It doesn't matter, because I hate school. But I do like knowing things. I thought the History book might be most helpful today because I do not have the book about Hogwarts. Do you know anything about Hogwarts? I want to know more.'
Daxton turned the notebook so the other boy could see it, but kept a tight hold on it with one hand, while still holding the sweet wand in the other. After his experience with Genny Tate, who had scribbled all over his precious notebook, he wasn't taking any chances, but the boy sounded like he could be useful, at least when it came to information, and Daxton was growing frustrated with lagging behind.

Well at least the boy had taken the candy wand, even if he hadn't said thank you or anything. Davie was getting the distinct feeling that he was making friends with a wild animal of sorts, or maybe like a goblin? Goblins were unfriendly and lacking manners like this boy; they also happened to be on his list of favorite creatures. In the theory of befriending this quietly grouchy goblin-boy, Davie pushed his glasses up his nose and leaned forward to see what was on his notepad.
How funny, he wasn't writing with a quill! "I know almost everything there is to know about Hogwarts," he answered honestly, almost cheerfully. "Both my parents taught there until recently," ish, "and I grew up in the village nearby." For most of his time, the most interesting part of his time so far. He wondered why this other boy hated school so much. Had he been to Muggle primary school then? He must be a Muggleborn, how fascinating! David could ask him loads of questions about Muggles!
Davie had much more to add, whether goblin-boy wanted to know about Hogwarts or not, but he wasn't sure if this boy wanted to listen. "Would you rather hear what I have to say or have me write it?" he asked suddenly, with an eying of the pen. "I can tell you about the Sorting, the common rooms, the ghosts, house elves, and most of the classes... the only thing I don't know much about is quidditch." On account of it being canceled and all. "I'm David Truebridge, by the way." He still hadn't figured it this kid's name, but now he had the chance to give to Davie.

Almost everything there is to know. Almost everything. Something about this statement was somehow more believable to Daxton than those who had told him they knew everything, and obviously more helpful than those who claimed to know nothing at all. And if all that was true, about his parents and growing up in Hogsmeade (it had to be there, Daxton knew for certain that that was the village), then that meant that this boy had essentially declared himself to be very useful. Shame his parents didn't still work at the school, though... that might have come in handy.
Daxton had gone back the turning the liquorice wand over in his hands, though he was still listening closely to what the other boy was saying. He did very much want to hear about all of those things, and here he was sat with someone quite willing to share it all.
After pulling the very slightest of faces at the mention of Quidditch (that had been, he had deduced, the topic that had caused the Tate girl to commit a common assault on his notebook, but he still stood by the fact that all sports were boring and stupid), Daxton nodded at David Truebridge, and tapped his own ears to indicate that he would listen. Because he was not handing the notebook over. Not a chance. Not after Genny Tate.
... In fact, on the topic of Genny Tate, she had mentioned a boy called David. For a brief moment, Daxton wondered if this was the same one. But 'David' was a common name, at least in his normal, non-magical world, and that wasn't enough to prompt him to ask. There would be plenty of time to work it out, in any case, and ask for confirmation once he was sure.
As for his name, Daxton knew that this was the point in the conversation where he provided it. He flipped to the front of his notebook to where 'Daxton Prince' was printed neatly, and showed it to David.
Now. Information. Get on with it. He wanted to hear it all.

Colt was impressed hearing this little dude's roar. He had that going for him. Now he was hearing where Lucas was from and he was impressed even more. So he was from Scotland, well born there and then raised in France. That is where he grew up. That was awesome comparing to the fact Colt has never been to Europe at all till now going to Hogwarts. Now his turn. "Well I am from New York. That is in the United States actually. I had to visit England a few days early to get my supplies ready." He was glad he got the chance because Diagon Alley was an experience he would never forget. "I actually went to Durmstrang for a bit because my mother wanted me to have a bit of magical education and then she realized it was too expensive sooo yeah I'm here.." He began to look out the window to admire the scenery. This was gorgeous not gonna lie.
He turned his attention to Echo when she said she was a Slytherin. Huh...was that a popular house all of a sudden? He thought so. "Interesting, in my opinion Slytherin sounds like a cool popular house." He was just voicing his opinion is all. "Sure I will feed Klein some treats." he volunteered. He noticed Echo kept glancing at him too. That was kind of amusing.
Philipe glanced around the train. His second year of doing this... At least he got a goodbye from everyone... Even his uncle Mikael who he hadn't seen in a while... And he'd also learned his not so favorite cousin, Lucas, was going to be going to his first year as well... The second year glanced around and found an empty compartment, pulling out his book out and started to read. Not that he was against socializing, but after his first year even... He had no one to talk to really.
He glanced around the compartment and sighed slightly, having a feeling this was going to be another lonely year for him... Maybe, hopefully with a little less injury than the former year... So long as he didn't nearly end up with a concussion again he was sure he'd be fine.
okay so the first kid, his name was Colt.. that was also a nice sounding name, he was from the states, just like she was and he went to Durmstrang. soo far this kid sounded way to cool. Wait did he just ask her what house she was in.. did he not like totally listen to what she just said.. she said she was in Slytherin, like to coolest house ever.. pffttt boys never pay attention. "Slytherin" she just replied because so far even though he was cute he was starting to bother her..
but the little kid, now he was just so adorable. As soon as she took out her pet he came a running. "awww, his name is Klein he loves people" she told him as she noticed that the little mouse let the boy pet him... "interesting, he normally hates boys"
she thought while giggling. this kid was funny. "soon enough your mother will allow you to have a pet and you'll have the cutest bestest pet ever" she told Lucas. Taking out some of his treats she held them out for the boy. "did you want to try to give him some peices of cheese? its his favorite" she laughed while positioning Klein so Lucas could give him the treats easier.

"Hi, Klein! I am Lucas!" He beamed at the mouse and kept petting him. "She only allowing me to have my owl with me... I have a horse back home in France and a puppy but she wont let me have a mouse!" He pouted and looked up at the girl. "Youre so lucky and cool to have a pet mouse!" He bounced, "May I hold him? Pleeeeeeease?" He grinned and admired the mouse even more. When she offered to let him feed the mouse, he gasped and nodded rapidly, "YES!" He took the cheese and started to feed the mouse. His eyes were lit with joy.
He looked at Colt in amazement. "Youre from the States? You are so awesome! I wish I was from there!" He pouted and bounced over to him. "I never been! What is it like there? Is New York really shaped like an apple? Are they as rude as I heard that they are? What do you guys do for fun? Is it crowded with muggles?" He took a deep breath after that rapid round of interrogation. Lucas just sat there, staring at him with wide eyes. He wanted to know everything there was about the States. He tilted his head, "Is Durmstang strict? I heard that it is a scary place..." His eyes were still wide while he stared at him.

Now. Information. Get on with it. He wanted to hear it all.
Did the goblin-boy not like Quidditch either? Davie noticed the slight, very subtle facial change at mention of the topic, and he warmed toward this boy just a little. He was a terrible flyer himself; flying just didn't seem natural since he didn't have feathers and brooms were terribly rickety and thin. Plus most quidditch players had big egos and tiny brains.
But Hogwarts, he could talk about that school all day. "Daxton," he read the name aloud, "it's nice to meet you. So, you want to talk about Hogwarts." Or, rather, listen to him talk about Hogwarts. Huh. Davie had never had such a captive audience before, nor had he ever given a lecture. But since both Truebridges were former professors, giving a talk about a subject he was an expert on seemed to come naturally to him.
"As I'm sure you've read, Hogwarts was established by the four founders, each of whom put characteristics of their favored students into a hat. The hat is pretty cool, actually, I mean, literally cool, when you put it on. I've tried it before but it wouldn't tell me which House I was suited to. Anyway, that's the first thing you do when you get to Hogwarts: you try on the Sorting Hat in front of everyone, talk to it a bit in your head, because it can read your thoughts, and then you go and sit at the table it directs you to. These people are your new Housemates. You try to earn points in classes for your House, and the House that earns the most points at the end of the term gets the House cup. It gets REALLY competitive some years." Or so he'd heard.
Davie took a breath to see if his audience seemed interested, bored, or neither by the topic of Houses. "So far I've only met Ravenclaws who already go to Hogwarts." These 'Claws being Kyroh and Kate. "I think they're smart. The Head of Ravenclaw is the school librarian, so most Ravenclaws must like to read." Right? Wouldn't that make sense? "I hear Hufflepuff is the House for well-rounded people, or ones that don't stick out as ambitious or brave or brainy. My mum is a Hufflepuff, and honestly she's like all of those," except brave. "My dad is a Slytherin. That House is full of purebloods, they say, and people who really care about heritage and pride and tradition and all that junk." Obviously Davie could care less for those things. "The Snake Head of House is the School Healer, and she is STRICT. She also has no sense of humor and she's very bossy. Just so you know, it's hard to stay on her good side." Again, this was all hearsay from his mother the former Headmistress, and a few things from his dad the former Slytherin Head of House (however briefly).
So, what else did Daxton want to know? "I don't know a lot about Gryffindors," he informed the other boy, tapping his chin slowly as he though, "but I heard their Head is a nut. Nutty about astro...astrology? Astronomy? One of those two." He also had a pet rock his mum liked to make fun of, but Davie was definitely NOT going to tell Daxton a story about that. "Um, each House has a ghost too, and they can float through walls and poke students who aren't studying and if one passes through you, by accident or on purpose, it feels like somebody just dumped a bucket of ice water on your head." In case he thought of trying that out of curiosity. It was NOT as fun as it looked.

Dante had just closed his eyes when he heard the door slide open. Not that quiet was it. Sigh. He opened his eyes and turn to see who was taking his sweet quiet time because he would get none of it once the train stopped and they got to school. If it was somebody he knew then. Sure they could come in and mess with his quiet. But random people. No way.
Stare.
It was someone he did not know. But if she was just going to read then fine. He just nodded at her and pointed at the seat farthest away from him.
"There"
Though now he wont be able to sleep.
Sigh.
Timmy just stared back at the boy with a blank expression.
There? THERE?
She was not some animal. Who in Merlin's name did this rude, lanky punk this he was? King of the Isles? Ha, no. Making a face, Timmy sat down and opened her book again. She was casually going to pretend this boy didn't exist and continue reading her book. Not like she didn't have any other choice.
Turning the page towards the unicorn section, the small, blonde girl slouched down and continued to read. Though she wished the awkwardness in the air went away quickly.

Never better huh? Hady tilted her head at him a little with a small laugh. "How so?" Was it just life in general he was happy about or was it something else?
As Hady followed his cue and claimed the spot opposite, Zeke lay back down - no longer propping himself up. His fingers laced together and retuned to supporting his head which had turned sideways to watch her. He was curious to hear about her solutions, but he had an inkling what it might be about.
Hearing her first response, he couldn't help but grin. It was sad, tragic even that her friend was being a flobberworm, but she was better than the muggle. "Good, and if he's got two brain cells to rub together he'll come to his senses and make things up to you." Because a simple 'hey, can we be friends again?' wouldn't be good enough. Surely.
The next part surprised him. Getting back into dancing, was not something he expected to hear. He nodded on this point, and was happy for her, so long as she wasn't going to try to teach him any moves again.... that had failed miserably last time. He was about to pass comment on the news when she continued, and the topic wasn't one he felt he could interrupt just so. "That's awesome, any idea where that'll be?" Moving was one of those things. It would be sensational and exciting, but it could also be incredibly dull and inconveniencing.
Pulling out his other ear bud, Zeke removed a hand from behind his head to fish out the device from his pocket, turning it off. The look Hady gave him didn't go unnoticed though. How so? Zeke just shrugged, a subtle smile lifting the corners of his lips. "What's not to enjoy?" So long as there wasn't another Acromantula attack, things would be rosy.

Finding herself rather comfortable in her current position Hady let herself lightly swing her leg (that was hanging down towards the floor) back and forth the toes of her shoe just skimming the floor beneath. This was what happened when one was still little-ish for their age. Her fingers lightly ran through the fur of the cat on her lap.
"As of lately I've come to learn that I don't believe he does. That being said I doubt it but oh well, I honestly just can't care anymore," she commented simply with a small laugh. Deep down she did care just a bit still but it was mainly due to having grown up with Jaxon her whole life. He was more of a brother then a friend but she'd easily come to accept it and move on.
Watching his face as she spoke to him allowed for her to see the surprise on his face when she'd mentioned dancing. Her father had appeared to be surprised by it as well. "Dancing was always an outlet for stress and anger. That's mainly why I decided to get back into it again." That made sense right? Something to help her keep calm and take her mind off of other things. Hady shot him a quick grin as she added a second later, "Don't worry though I have no intentions on teaching you to dance anymore, unless of course you'd like me to?" This last part was said with a laugh since she knew he wouldn't want that. "You're more then welcome to watch me though anytime you like. Just you though." She was clear on that part? No one else was to know.
As quickly as she had spoke of her ex-friend and dancing she had went on to talk of the move. Something of which she knew nothing about. "Nope. Not a clue. Though he's asked me if I have any ideas on where I'd like to live. Like I know I've only lived one other place and I was really little then." That had been Ireland and she wasn't even three yet when she had moved. "You have any ideas maybe? Like places you like?" Just some general nice places to look into and all that.
Hady glanced down at Hagan when her hand was headbutted and laughed quietly returning to scratching the cat behind the ears. At Zeke's comment she turned to look at him and smiled back a bit when she saw his smile. "Uh large man eating Acromantula?," she answered with a shrug. Anything but that should be okay. She was more then ready to see what this year held in store for her.

Colt saw Lucas' eyes widen and he chuckled at the little dude. "Yeah it is not a big deal. It is just we have better food." He was joking of course but he thought so. Woah woah dude, slow down too many questions at one time. He began with the ones he heard first. "Slow down dude..." he advised him. "Well New York is a big stinky city. It has a lot of people from all different countries and there is a lot to do there. For instance I go skateboarding so I go to the skate parks. It is a really high paced atmosphere so you gotta know where you are going and how to get around." You couldn't be lost in NYC because then people will get aggravated or especially walk slow. Walking slow is like the sin in the city. Is it shaped like an apple." He couldn't help but laugh at this one. "No it isn't shaped like an actual apple. That is just the nickname is all."It is really crowded with muggles, sometimes you are sandwiched like sardines." Hopefully the kid got the reference.
Now onto Durmstrang to let the kid absorb all the information he gave him. "Yeah they can be strict at times. The teachers show no mercy and even the magic we are taught is kind of intense. Too intense for my liking which is why I'm coming here.." he smiled.
At first, Daxton didn't respond in any obvious way; David Truebridge's phrasing had been confusing and slightly redundant. For one thing, Daxton didn't want to talk about anything, because he couldn't, and also he probably wouldn't want to even if he could. For another, they had already established that Hogwarts was the topic of interest. So he just waited.
And waiting paid off. It turned out that David Truebridge was easily the most useful person Daxton had encountered so far. He was the first to go into any real depth about the Houses, and the first to reveal that trying on the Sorting Hat was done while sat in front of everyone. Just the thought of that sent a ripple of terror through Daxton; he hated being the centre of attention, though it happened a lot more often than he liked. This news gave him time to prepare himself, or to find a way around the matter. If he were a politer boy, more concerned with what was socially appropriate, he might have thanked David Truebridge for that.
The rest of it was all very interesting, and there was a lot of information, but Daxton had an extremely reliable memory and so simply filed it all away to mull over later, especially all that about the Slytherin Head of House, in case he ended up there. Daxton supposed it didn't matter what he knew about the Houses; theoretically, he should be placed in the House that suited him best no matter what he knew about them. But he still wanted to know as much as he could. Knowledge, after all, was power.
The way David Truebridge told it, it sounded like Daxton was most fitted for Ravenclaw. He was smart, and he knew it, and he liked to read more than anything in the world. He had actually already read through his History textbook and mentally worked out profiles of famous witches and wizards and attempted to work out some sort of correlation between the houses they were sorted into and common traits that kept appearing. According to that, he fitted in with Slytherin wizards as well as Ravenclaws too, and a couple of Gryffindors. But it was all very vague work, and based on his incredibly limited resources, and he wasn't going to share all of that right now because it would take too much time. Also, it sounded like a lot of his deductions were wrong, because what he was hearing now about Slytherin didn't match up for him at all. He didn't much fancy sharing a theory where he risked turning out to be totally wrong, and looking like an idiot.
No, instead, Daxton went back to the page where he'd written his last message to David Truebridge, quickly but neatly added more to it, and turned the notebook back to him again.
'Astronomy. His name is Airey Flamsteed. I met him. He came to my house when I turned eleven. He is a nut.
What do you get if you win points? Trophies are boring, especially if you have to share with everyone. Do you get anything else? Do you lose points too? What happens to you if you do?
Do you know how to catch a ghost?'

Dante keep staring at her until she went and took a seat. Well at least she was quiet that was a plus. Though now he had company and that meant he could not nap. Sigh. Napping with strangers was a recipe for disaster. Suspicious Dante was suspicious.
What was he going to do now.
He started staring at her book wondering why she wanted to read on a train. Wasn't the movement going bother her.
Meh, whatever. He did not care.

Well his audience wasn't bored yet. Davie could get used to this, this talking-and-explaining thing. Daxton Prince was still bright-eyed and nodding now and then, or at least when Davie asked him something that required an answer that didn't have to be written down.
"Yes, that's the guy," he responded instead to the other boy's writing. No comment about whether he was or was not a nut, however, as Davie preferred to defer judgment until he actually met someone. Hmm, as for his first question... "I'm pretty sure it's just a pride, glory, and trophy kind of thing. Like a bragging point for the next school year." Yes, you could definitely lose points, so Davie nodded to that. "If you're late or unruly or disrespectful, you can lose points. Some kids lost points and got detention for being out-of-bounds a few terms back...." One of which had died in the process. And he'd heard ALL about it, since they were in the Forbidden Forest and his mum had helped with the detentions. So Daxton probably didn't want to do that, okay?
He tilted his head at the last question, which almost sounded like a riddle. "In theory there's a way to trap a ghost, in a runic circle, with some ancient spells... but I've never done it." And he didn't have much of an interest in doing so, to be honest. Davie had to know, though, since he was giving out all this information: "Why don't you like talking out loud, Daxton?" Davie was a nice kid, a friendly kid. He wasn't loud or obtuse. He could be easy to talk to, instead of just listen to.

Austin walked along the corridor hoping to find an empty compartment. Sadly, he found none, but what he did find was a young boy reading. The boy looked to be in his first or second year, and he was the only one in the compartment. So hopefully it would be cool to sit with him.
"Do you mind if I sit here?" He said, knocking. "The whole front of the train is full, and I'm not willing to check the back." That was part because he was lazy, and part because he knew there wouldn't be one. Austin was late to the train this year. His younger sister was throwing a fit, and it was hard for him and his dad to get her dressed.
Well his audience wasn't bored yet. Davie could get used to this, this talking-and-explaining thing. Daxton Prince was still bright-eyed and nodding now and then, or at least when Davie asked him something that required an answer that didn't have to be written down.

Davie was a nice kid, a friendly kid. He wasn't loud or obtuse. He could be easy to talk to, instead of just listen to.
Daxton mulled over that for a moment. Pride and glory, more things that were completely lost on him. He'd never had or achieved anything he felt was worth bragging about either, so, again, another thing that didn't make much sense to him. The fact that those things, along with winning a shared trophy, were the only incentives for winning points... well, it was baffling. Unless the points were the incentive, but that was even stranger still. It was intriguing; something else to think on later.
Rolling both the liquorice wand and his pen between his palms, Daxton began to think quite seriously about the ghost trap idea. He was just wondering how something like that might work, logistically speaking, when David Truebridge's question caught his attention.
It was a question he'd heard dozens of times, which meant he already had a page in his notebook with the full answer written out. But it was an answer he very rarely chose to provide, as it tended to prompt annoying comments and stupid questions from people who didn't understand. Last time that happened, the person Daxton was talking to ended up getting smacked around the head with the notebook. Not out of anger, but as a last resort to try to get the kid to leave him alone. It had worked.
Continuing on the current page, Daxton wrote the next message and turned the notebook around for the other boy to read.
'Something in my brain doesn't let me talk to people. If I want to say something, I write it. I can communicate using my hands, but most people don't understand it.'
Daxton eyed David Truebridge carefully. He thought him smart, yes, but didn't expect him to know something as specific as sign language. He tended not to expect it of anyone, as life was much less disappointing when he lowered his expectations of those around him.

But, here he was going in to his sixth year after transferring last year.
The Gryffindor held his bag in his arms as he searched for a compartment. Did he want company? or a nice and quiet ride to school? Maybe catch some sleep? First he need to find a place to sit though so he walked down the hallway, searching for a compartment that was either empty or not too full. As he looked in a few of them, he suddenly noticed a fellow Gryffindor who he remembered had clung to him and Adi. Opening the door and leaning against it, Yoongi did not enter the compartment but stayed at the door, trying to keep his balance as the train turned to the side a bit. "Hey Marsha, had a nice summer?"
Marsha looked up from where she was stroking Duchess as the carriage door started to slide open. The metal of the door was in the way to begin with, but her face split into a HUGE BEAMING smile at Yoongi. ”Yoongi! Hi!” She waved at him, excited to see him. ”It was nice with no huge spiders! I got to go to Diagon Alley a few times and I went horse riding a lot with Chestnut. I missed her a lot over the year. I wish there were horses we could ride at Hogwarts.”
More smiles. Really, she wanted to leap from her seat (probably to Duchess’ disapproval) and hug him tightly light she had done when they were standing in the Great Hall having escaped from Herbology and the crazy as all heck acromantula’s that had just STOOLLLEEN their Headmistress. It was no wonder the woman had decided there and then to resign. Her Dad alwas told her there was a point when things just were “too much crazy.” She supposed that time had equaled too much crazy for Professor Truebridge.
Oh well. It wasn’t like she had known her well - she wasn’t even sure if she had had a proper conversation with her outside of Herbology… Hmm. Who would be teaching Herbology this year? Hmmmmm.
Looking back up to Yoongi, she smiled at him AGAIN ”How was your Summer? Did you get to relax and get ready for school again?”

"Nope. Not a clue. No two braincells to rub together? Well that was a crying shame... poor guy, or not. Zeke just smirked at Hady's response. It was sad that she had lost a friend, and one so close, but at the same time... she was strong and, well, friends came and went anyway. The loss was... inevitable? Perhaps. Especially considering they were now from two different worlds.
He was content with staring up at the compartment ceiling between looks at her and Hagan, the cat was needy man. The whole outlet for anger and stress thing, he supposed that was true, though it hadn't occurred to him before she said it. He preferred to hex things, jinx them, curse them even... and where magic was not an option, break things. It was something he didn't do very often, and he couldn't recall the last time he'd gotten so worked up. First year perhaps? "Cool," was the only assessment he was able to give. Lady's grin was infectious though, and on the topic of him dancing, he couldn't help but grin too. The notion was ridiculous. "Yeah, no, I can do without your instruction, after all, people need people like me to make them look good." Zeke shrugged. He was okay with making others look good, or better. And he was allowed to watch? Neat. "You should get more dance friends though, there's Kaycee from our year," did she know her? the Gryffindor? "and apparently Kyroh dances too." So, they could like, all dance together? Or not... just a thought.
Zeke was slightly distracted by his own thoughts when Hady replied, something about not having a clue and not really having any ideas on where to live... and then, she was asking him? Zeke shrugged, adjusting his hands behind his head before turning to gaze at her. "Depends on what you're looking for, it's hard to really say. Anywhere would be good though, cause family is what makes the place." And WHY did he sound like a soppy girl? Ugh. "I grew up in Birmingham, but we didn't really have a home, so that kind of doesn't count, after that I lived in London before moving to Prague." La Rochelle didn't count either, because even though they had a house there, they didn't LIVE there... and he didn't speak much French, so life was tough going when they were there during the summers. "I miss London, it was familiar and convenient but... each to their own."

That huge beaming smile was what Yoongi liked about her. It was like she was always thinking in a positive way and it made his mood better as well. He still leaned against the door , not wanting to sit just yet because he wasn't sure if she was waiting for her own year friends or not. "Sounds like you had a good time" he smiled as he hoisted his bag better over his shoulder. "Maybe you can ask the care of magical creatures professor if there can be horses at Hogwarts" he suggested. It was worth a shot right? Personally, he wasn't a big fan of horses. Too big and high...
How his summer had been? He smiled at the memory "It was fun, we wanted to go to my home country and maybe meet my birth parents but it was too expensive so we went to france instead. The eiffel tower was less fun though, i dont like heights but my sisters made me go up" he sighed heavily at the thought. Better not tell he nearly cried ... "can i come in or are you waiting for someone else?" he asked, nodding his head to the empty seat in front of her.

Zeke's smirk only served to make her grin even more to which she ended up laughing as well. It was clear she had gotten over the loss of her former best friend. Either that or she had simply become very good at hiding it. Whichever was the case here Hady wasn't about to talk about it. There was much more important things to discuss.
Catching him looking at her her and Hagan she couldn't help but smile at bit and glance down at the cat on her lap. She was actually a bit surprised Hagan hadn't gone over to check Zeke out yet like he normally did with most people. Oh well. "Don't worry I won't force you to dance with me or at all unless you choose to someday." He'd given it a try once because she had asked him to and that was way more then enough for her. When he mentioned finding friends that could dance and then even went on to mention a few names she simply shrugged her shoulders. She knew who they were but didn't exactly know much else. Frankly she really couldn't care...if they spoke to her yeah she'd talk back but she wasn't about to go and strike up a conversation with them because they danced.
Home is where family is. She knew that. Really though it was only going to be her and her father now unless he meant like cousins and aunts and uncles. In which case they were everywhere. Listening to him though she understood what he meant. "I kinda want to stay around where we live now, mainly since it's all I've known for the last eleven or so years besides Hogwarts. Not to mention the forests and streams and all the animals that are around but I know my father would rather not." It was something to think about and luckily she had a few months yet to do so. "It's not important right this minute but having an idea never hurts." Hady glanced at him and smiled a little.

Catching him looking at her her and Hagan she couldn't help but smile at bit and glance down at the cat on her lap. She was actually a bit surprised Hagan hadn't gone over to check Zeke out yet like he normally did with most people. Oh well. Whatever the reason, Hady appeared to have found her peace, because frankly... she seemed happy enough. Not at all as distracted as she had been the day in the Alley. It was good to see, especially as he wasn't so good where consoling people was a thing. Hugs and pats on backs was all he could do.
He chuckled under his breath now. "You couldn't force me if you tried," he pointed out, eyebrows raised as if challenging her. Now was hardly the time or place for such things though, so he didn't expect her to try anything. But then she had also raised the point of him CHOOSING to dance some day. "Maybe." He wouldn't rule it out, but he couldn't see reason for doing so. Dancing voluntarily didn't seem at all the kind of thing he'd do.
Nodding in understanding, Zeke considered Hady's ... predicament? Was it even that? Moving and having a place to call home was important, but at the end of the day, one could always move again if the first choice didn't work out. It was hardly permanent. "I'm sure you'll find somewhere nice, somewhere you're both happy." Prague took a lot of adjusting to, but Emily made it easy. Besides, he'd have been selfish to protest against it, especially considering he wasn't home most of the time. It was her and Gavin that had to live with the choice more than anything, for him it was a long vacation, with the occasional breaks to France and England. The view from his room had grown on him though, and the cafes in the street made great pastries... he could go for one of those now.
"Where's the food trolley? I'm starved," he commented idly, craning his neck to see out the compartment window before relaxing back into his position. He really didn't feel like moving.

Oh she couldn't now could she? That sounded like a challenge. Hady smirked at him raising her arms and clasping her hands together behind her head in a relaxed postition. "Is that so? I'm positive that I could...if I wanted to." She then winked at him playfully. This was one challenge she knew for a fact that she could win if she wanted. At his answer of 'maybe' dancing if it was his choice she laughed. Someday when the time was right as was the person Hady knew Zeke would dance. There wasn't a doubt in her mind.
As for finding somewhere nice that she wanted to live she agreed with a simply nod of her head. "I'm sure we will given the time to look. It's more my father's choice since he'll be the one living there full time but it's still nice that he thought to ask me what I'd like to." Cause really he could've picked a place and home without including her at all. At least this way she was able to give her opinion on it all.
And then Zeke mentioned food. Or we'll that he was starving and Hady laughed quietly. "Not sure I haven't seen it yet...but...," Hady flashed her bestie a quick grin and pulled out a small bag of mixed candies from the pocket of her robes and tossed it to him. "Enjoy." She hadn't forgotten which candies he liked and that she agreed to save him his preferred flavors to jolly ranchers and candy canes. It might not be true food but it was a start until the trolly arrived.

Hmm, Daxton was nonverbal because of something in his brain. Interesting. Davie wondered if a Healer like his uncle might be able to fix that for him, but he would never wonder that aloud. He also (mistakenly) assumed that Daxton just meant he gestured to talk with his hands, since he had no knowledge of Muggle sign language.
"Well," he responded finally, "at least you'll never lose points for talking out of turn." He smiled a little at the boy, even though he was thinking of how frustrating it must be to not talk whenever you wanted to, and how maybe Daxton wouldn't be able to show how smart he is in class because he'll probably never raise his hand.
But those were thoughts for another time, if they got to know each other better. "Did you have more questions about Hogwarts?" David asked instead, thinking that if not, he might head down to the food trolley.

She hadn't forgotten which candies he liked and that she agreed to save him his preferred flavors to jolly ranchers and candy canes. It might not be true food but it was a start until the trolly arrived.
Laying down just didn't feel right any longer, and he was far too alert to properly 'rest' in this position. Swinging his legs off the side, he pulled himself up into a sitting position. Zeke nodded solemnly to Hady's reply, because yes, it was so indeed. It was cute though that she thought she had the ability to MAKE him dance should she want to. Pfft. Yeah, good one. Hilarious. "If believing that makes you feel better, then I suggest you don't try... I'd hate for that bubble of yours to pop," he goaded, returning her playful wink.
He gazed out the window, watching as the pastures rolled past, his eyes also focusing on Hady in the reflection. He was sure that they would find somewhere nice, though the prospect of house hunting was incredibly dull and not at all motivating, especially from Hogwarts. "It is nice to be included," he agreed in the end, turning back to her.
The 'but' had given him hope, and so he watched Hady with renewed interest. As se fished around in her robe pocket, he couldn't help but think that perhaps he ought to change soon too... it wouldn't be long until they were there. Catching the small package she threw at him, Zeke grinned when he saw it was candy, and better still, cherry flavoured. "You're a life saver," he stated with all the seriousness in the world. His stomach would be grateful. "Thanks." Of course, now with a mouth full of candy, he didn't have much more to say.
