| | Astronomy Lesson 1 :: Cosmic Collisions - Craters
The crisp September evening air may be just the ticket to helping you stay awake this time of evening on your first day of lessons. Or just make you want to bundle up under the covers back in your dormitory. We won’t tell you how to feel.
Stepping into the Astronomy classroom, you may be a little perplexed to find any desks or chairs in the classroom and instead are greeted with what looks like a giant sandbox with glistening white sand. After another moment or two, you are swept off your feet by some unseen force that causing you to float up into the air - although you will need to do a little bit of air swimming to reach your seat. The initial feeling is similar to that of going down the first big dip in a roller coaster, but certainly not enough to make anyone nauseous enough for a little dinner show-and tell. Looking up, you see that the large semicircle of desks and chairs are all suspended in midair some 15 feet or so above the ground, rocking ever so slightly up and down thanks to the enchantments placed upon them. The blackboard, positioned across from the semicircle of desks, has the following instructions written upon it: Quote:
Take out a quill and write your FULL name and year on the piece of parchment provided.
Once you have done so, give it a tap with your wand.
The parchment, enchanted by the professor himself, will turn into a sturdy wood name plaque when you do so. Don’t worry, it won’t go floating away from you but rather stick firmly to your desk.
Did you remember to use the lint roller on the small table outside of the classroom? It was there next to the sign that reads, "Not to be used as a brush for your hair" and has the signature of a former student in the bottom right corner. Also next to the sign is a small box containing an assortment of pips that you are meant to take and wear proudly on your robes for the duration of the lesson Professor Flamsteed is floating somewhere near the blackboard looking especially pleased with himself this evening. Surely that cannot be a good thing? ⌦Lesson Progression

Yay! Marisol wasn't good at Astronomy, but she did know a thing or two about flying objects. She had been the best in her neighbourhood Quidditch games— and yes, she was rusty, but she could hit those balls like nobody's business.
The fifth year pulled her long, brown hair back and reached into the bag. She drew out a green-for-Slytherin marble. Rolling the smooth, round object around the palm of her hand, she observed the other kids. Mari decided that from her angle, she could easily go for the third planet. "Tikalas!!!"
Marisol wound her arm up and threw the marble with full force. It hit the edge of the third planet with a satisfying PLUNK and shattered into hundreds of tiny pieces.
There it was— Mari's own green crater.

Regaining balance! Regaining balance!
WHEEEE!
Adi 'swam' aground for a full minute , trying to maneuvre himself back to the planets properly. He couldn't tell which of the yellows were his because by now there was quite a few of those coloured craters around. Ah, well. MOVING ON!
This time he was aiming for Planet twooooo! Out came another yellow marble. which was fitted above the Hippogriff feathered core wand. ''Tikalas!'' This time too, the marble was pulled back on they syllable 'las'. The gold band allowed the marble allowed and helped him to release the marble.
SMACKKKK!
Into planet two it crashed!

| Post #1... We missed (THANKS, ADI) doesn't proofread tweets | #wrongaboutcereal | #siriusly? | emo to the extremo ... THAT was a lot to remember. Zander didn't even bother answering the last few questions, instead opting to write down every single random piece of information he was offered because holy moley that was a LOT. And know Professor Flamsteed, it'd all show up in their next lesson too. So scribble scribble scribble... Velocity.... Impact.... Mass.... Etc... Etc... Etc...
Now that his hand was cramping and his quill looked just about at the end of his line, he was ready for the ACTIVITY. Aka the best part. He wasted no time in pushing all of his things down and out of the way. Got ahold of his red marbles! And swam around to get a better position.
Taking a single marble out of his bag, he held it over his wand. "Tik-ah-lahs," only as he uttered the last syllable he pulled it back in a sling-shot manner, aiming right for Planet #1 and went to release--INCOMING!
... Adi
-______-
So uh, looks like the marbles weren't the only things making collisions today. 'Cause Zander was just thrown off his A-game by one flying Hufflepuff. And that wasn't even the sad part. The sad part was that his marble (that had been gloriously aimed for planet one) was released in the process of the collision, sending the red object flying towards a wall instead. And Zander was flying in the opposite direction at that. Sigh.
At least the wall looked nice in red?

| Post 1; Planet 1....miss Treat Yo Self | +2 | Enabler | Nerd | Blink Well that was anti-climatic. but whatever onto the the weird, awesome, maybe cool activity Airey was talking about. So they had to crash these marbles into planets. Well Dante thought he got it and you had to say the spell also.
Okay well Dante now had green marbles.
Now time to get started. He had lined up his marble with a planet. Held it in front of his wand and said "Tikalas".
But right before he shot it. He saw Zander and Adi collide and could not help but burst out laughing. Man that was hilarious. Which means, of course when he finally shot his marble. He missed the planet the planet entirely by laughing
Merlin, at least it did leave an awesome crater.
Just not in a planet.

Put away books and parchment. Ha! As if Olly had ever taken them about in the first place. Though that was not necessarily something to be proud of, heh. In any case, the first year snatched the brown bag out of the air that had floated toward him. He peered in, spotting many green marbles. Way more than looked like they should be able to fit in a bag of that size. Neat. He took out his want too, definitely ready to get on with this activity.
Olly reached into his bag and selected one marble. Next he had to decide which planet to aim toward. It seemed as if most people were going for planet one. People that weren't Slytherin. Uh huh. Slytherin was not going to be beaten if Oliver Tate Thomas-Borzekowski had anything to say about it. He did not like to lose.
Marble ready. Aim toward planet one. Olly positioned the marble above his wand and took a deep breath. "Tikalas." Pulling the marble back slightly. Ready? GO! The marble shot forward, heading toward the planet. And...
AND...
BULLSEYE. Olly pumped his fist into the air in victory and made that Peter Pan noise again. Oh yes, he was going to WIN.

| Post 3; Planet 3. Zander and Dante, too ^_^ ~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
So, so, sooooo the student it turned out he had collided into was Head Boy Zander. Hehe. "Sorrrrrry again, Zander! Merlin! Why were you in my way?" He was teasing, of course. It had been his fault. And it looked like the Gryffindor had missed his target too. Woops! But at least Dante seemed to be enjoying this too much for he missed too! Allllll these misses! "Oi! Dante! What do you do if you see an an aggressive alien?'' The Hufflepuff had figured that the Slytherin liked riddles even though he might not be able to guess the answers.
....................
Let's get another crater made on a planet, yo! Already, Adi had eagerly gotten a yellow marble fitted above his wand. "Tikalas!'' He repeated what he had done for his previous tries, pulling back on the thing reeeaaaaalllllyyyyyy enthusiastically and confidently. Annnnd the marble was off!
But UH OH.
Too much enthusiasm and confidence!
Somehow Adi's hands managed to screw up his aim at Planet three which caused the yellow marble to go whizzing waaaaaaay off from the target, shooting past some students. He couldn't see if it smacked into anyone because kids were EVERYWHERE! Good thing the Admiral had thought of his students' safety!
Maybe somewhere a students had yellow markings on them... if the things exploded on them.
Heh.

Still smug from his victory, Olly decided to turn his attention to another planet for the time being. He focused on planet 2, pausing for a moment to study it's movement so he knew exactly where he could aim. When he thought he had it, he pulled another marble out of his bag.
Wand held steady. Marble in position. Sights focused on planet number two. Olly was ready. "Tikalas!" But just as he was about to let go, a marble from somewhere else crashed into HIM. His own marble was flung who knows where. Olly glared down at the yellow spot on his arm - what was it, paint? He hoped it was easy to get off - and then raised his glare in the direction from where the marble had come. "I AM NOT A PLANET!" He yelled to the Hufflepuff boy.

| post 1 , planet 1 miss A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
Hearing what they had to do for their activity, the first thing that popped up in Yoongi’s mind was “NO” ….oops had he said that out loud? He had hadn’t he? But no. He was not going to do this. It took all his bravery to even float in the air let alone playing this…whatever game this was! Can’t he be the sand? The one BELOW ON THE GROUND?! But then the Professor aimed his wand at the sand it they transformed in to planets floating around in the air around them. Ok so he did NOT want to be the sand now…
But how was he supposed to participate when he couldn’t even let go of his desk? And no, he hadn’t pushed his desk down yet. He would NEVER push it down. This desk was his safe-zone! He watched as the students pushed theirs down and began the activity after getting their house colored marbles. Yoongi caught a bag as well. Was the Professor going to get mad at him if he didn’t really participate? Would he lose points? Detention? Nah, they wouldn’t give him detention or take away points just because he was scared. Yes, he admitted it, though not out loud, that he was scared. He just wanted to get back down on the ground. His feet touching something.
But what if that did happen? Losing points or detention? He didn’t want Gryffindor to lose in both this game and housepoints.
As he looked around again, still in the same desk clutching position, he saw Adi shooting one of the marbles and it hit a first year Slytherin. It would have been pretty amusing if he hadn’t been in the air. IN THE AIR! While the others were busy playing the game, Yoongi finally gathered his courage and pushed his desk down to the ground. He felt empty without it, like he was missing a part of himself.
The moment the desk was away from his grasp, he continued to float in the air and just stared. Too scared to move, too scared to think, too scared to even get out the way from the marbles shooting across the room, trying to hit planets. Feeling his breathing intensifying, he closed his tearful eyes but held a straight neutral facial expression and he aimed his wand at a red marble that he had seen a second ago and said in an unnatural high voice “Tikalas” He dared to take a peek and saw a faint golden band forming around the marble immediately and aimed it in the direction of a planet. ….with his eyes closed and didn't even see if it hit a planet...or someone else..

Hogwarts RPG Name: Norah Kittredge Seventh Year | post 1 planet #2 Lil' gooz | Sarangel | Junior Dweeb She got a point! SHE DID! Norah beamed at Professor Flamsteed and sat up straighter in her seat. That's right. A point earner. She was one of THOSE.
She wrote down line after line after line of explanation in her notes as the professor spoke, not pausing to question the spelling of words. There was a whole lot more to say about all these space rocks than she'd thought. When the explanation of the activity was over (after a MILLION years), she wiggled her fingers and stuffed the parchment back into her bag. Wand time was always the best time of class, uh huh. Once her desk had been pushed to the ground, Norah took the bag of marbles that had been delivered to her whens she wasn't paying attention, and pulled out a bright yellow marble. Aw yeah. Puffers got the BEST color.
Holding the marble over the tip of her wand, she said "Tikalas" and waited for the gold band to appear...which it didn't. Ahem. She glanced around quickly to make sure nobody had seen 'cause fifth years were supposed to get spells right on the first try. Everything was fine over here, yep. Nothing to see. Concentrating harder now, she cast "Tikalas!" once more, and shot the marble in the direction of the second planet before she even had time to admire her success. The marble went hurtling towards the planet, looking as if it wasn't going to hit at all, but eventually making contact and shattering on the side of the second planet. OH YEAH.

| Post 1 / Planet #1 The Kisapaths | Sila!Roti | -2 | TouchableHair | ToiletPaperGuy | QueenOfConfusion Maggie was 100% one of those with the glazed over expressions.
Like...............
She'd had SUCH good intentions for this lesson and now she was just so confused and frustrated and had absolutely no idea what on Earth was going on. Why did Flamsteed have to have such a HIGHLY confusing subject?? Why couldn't he teach, like.........sports class. Or something easy. No, it had to be about SPACE and planets and all things confusing. It was rude really.
Apparently it was time for an activity though and Maggie used her wand to unstick herself from her chair before pushing it towards the floor. The desk followed suit. So far so good. Would she get house points for that? If she smiled nicely? But before she got around to putting on her BEST smile, there was a bag of marbles floating towards her and...she was lost again.
Green marbles. That was nice at least.
Oh. Okay. No but yes, it was all about the spell. She could do spells. She had her WAND. And she could do the magic well and yes everything. Maggie was UNconfused again. Throwing things at other things. That was something she could do. So when it was ready to GO, Maggie tied the bag with the rest of the marbles around her wrist and then held up a single one over her wand. Now, which planet were the other Slytherins aiming for?
...................
All of them. They'd seemingly all gone for a different one. Which was kinda dumb. So Maggie rolled her eyes and decided to go for the one Dante had gone for. Right. Here we go. "Tika-" She moved the marble back and took aim. "-LAS!" BAM! SCORE! She was the best. Clearly. They should all just follow her lead because she was the most amazing person in this entire classroom.
Yup. |

| Catch up AND Post 1, Aimed for Planet 1 but hit Planet 2 Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite His heart was definitely not strong enough for this form of torture. The Professor was winking and saying nothing else which just about had the boy doing some internal screaming. Did the lack of verbal response mean he didn't accept his apology?? HOW ELSE WAS HE MEANT TO GET HIMSELF OFF THE HOOK???? This wasn't happening, it wasn't happening. How did everything get so messed up so fast?? Was it the silence that got him returned silence? Would the Professor PREFER he spoke?? Was that it? Cause...why didn't he just SAY so if that was it. Merlin, this was doing his head in way fast.
All the boy could do was scribble his responses once more, unsure of how to really proceed given the lack of verbal cues. It was like when he gave his little sister the silent treatment ...only the Professor couldn't run off to tell his mum and get cookies for it.
He kinda wanted cookies now, and warm milk andawholebunchofassurancethathewasn'tintrouble.
And what's this? They were getting into the activity now? Marbles? They were shooting marbles and making craters and all that??? OH BOY!
It took no time at all for this little lion to wiggle out of his seat after securing everything he had in his school bag....just to make sure they didn't float away while he was busy BEING science--Merlin he never thought he'd get a chance to do that. While he waited for the go ahead, he paid special attention to the spell instructions because he didn't want to be the only one who DIDN'T get it right. It was bad enough he'd probably never get it right the first time.
Could they start now? Yes? YES! Clutching tightly to his bag of acquired red marbles, Blaise spun this way and that trying to decide WHICH planet he would help take down first in the name of Godric Gryffindor.
Hmm...that one there didn't look so bad. One marble ready, the boy cleared his throat, ready to practically EXUDE confidence. "Tikala!"
...
.......
Clearly his wand had missed it's cue. It didn't realize that when he said "Tikala!" it was meant to actually DO something. Like just now, Second attempt and the marble was still floating there, staring him in the face. SIGH. He would try again and AGAIN if he had to. "Tikala!"--WHOA!
Rogue marble, marble on the run, somebody stop that thing it was going in the wrong direc--BOOM. Welp. Weeeeeellp. There it went. Hitting...the...other planet.....he...guessed that worked too but...like...whose side are you on Mr. Wand?????

| Post 2; Planet 1. Adi! Treat Yo Self | +2 | Enabler | Nerd | Blink And Again with the riddles. Well he would admit he loved them. This was not the time for them or was it since this was Airey's class. Now Dante was just confusing himself. Once he was finally finished laughing at the thought of what just happened.
He gave a minute to think about it.
And he had the answer, he thinks. "Give it some space!"
because aliens are in space and yeah it was good.
He lined up his wand with the marble on top of it from the planet he failed at before. No failures the second time. Not for this Slytherin. "Tikalas!'
BOOM. Look at that crater on that planet. It was awesome.

| Post 2, Planet 3 - Question for anyone there at the end ^_^ Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite Just when he thought spell work was gonna be the hardest part, you had to throw in the fact that his aim sucked too. Granted, it was brilliant no one had gotten hurt with his last attempt despite it having been completely rogue but now he felt a certain responsibility to ensure the others went straight--which might have had A LOT to do with him trying to get back to the Professor's good side so he the future meeting in his office could go well.
For that reason, Blaise was entirely blown away when, after casting his spell, he saw the marble ricochet off the wall and dart through the window.
How even....?
It was things like this that could seriously leave a boy discouraged but he wasn't ready to give up just yet. Somehow he had to find a way to get the marble going where he wanted, which begged the question of WHAT was controlling it if he wasn't. Blaise fished another marble from the bag, amazed at just how many he had (The Professor must have planned this part of the activity with him in mind, ahem) and again he took aim. "Tikalas!"
ZOOOOOOOOOOM!
And there it went! Going...going...goi--seriously? Really? The First Year watched, mouth agape as the marble went RIGHT BY THE ONE HE WAS AIMING FOR and straight on over to the OTHER planet.
sjkfavEIYFgisdf!! "How do you control these things??"

| Post #1: Planet #2 (Hit) Otter This World ♡ Catpurrccino ♡ Slotherin ♡ Pandamonium Yes!!! They were done note taking! Hady could almost do a dance she was sooo happy about this. Only she wouldn't cause well you know there was people and um she didn't dance around people. Usually. With a small grin she returned her parchment and quill inside her bag when they were given the instructions about what they would be doing today.
Carefully getting out of her seat she gave her desk/chair the required push needed to send it downwards to the floor below. Pretty cool the charms and such that were on this room today. Anyhow her eyes went back to the Professor as he showed them how to turn their wands into a sling-shot. Now this was even cooler! She knew how to use the muggle type so maybe this would be nearly the same thing.
Making a quick grab at a bag of green marbles that floated her way she smirked slightly removing one and rolling it between her fingers, her eyes fixed on the large planet things that were floating about the room. Everyone had gotten started and marbles were flying about everywhere, she'd had to duck once or twice when someone had terrible aim and missed.
Slipping the marble bag into her pocket the fourth year gripped her wand holding it upwards and held her green marble of it's tip. "Tikalas," she spoke clearly pulling the marble back at the 'las' part of the word. Instantly the gold band appeared just how it should and turning a bit to the side she raised her wand 'sling-shot' up a bit higher and closed one eye taking aim quickly and watching the green marble soar slamming right into it's intended target. Planet 2.
She. Had. This.

| Post 1 - Hitting planet 2 ♥s her SS family l Wifey is MINE | Naughty Niffler l Whittysaur l #awkwardturtle<# After recording some more sciencey stuff into her notes, it was activity time.
Paulina wasn't so sure how she felt about activities. She wasn't required to do anything that put her in the spotlight, was she?
Oh, good. They just needed to shoot marbles at sand planets. That actually sounded pretty cool, she had to admit. Astronomy class wasn't like this at Beauxbatons - but then that probably wasn't saying much since this Professor was odd.
Quite cool, but still odd.
Putting her school supplies away, Paulina wiggled out of her desk and pushed it downwards so that it floated towards the ground. She was still getting used to floating in 'space', so things felt a bit weird, but it was also kind of fun in a way. It was almost like she was flying.
Catching her bag of marbles as it was levitated towards her, she muttered "Tikalas." After repeating the incantation a few times she felt ready to give the spell a go.
Turning her attention to the second planet, she pictured in her head exactly where she wanted to create an impact crater. Holding her marble over the tip of her wand, she said the incantation. Having pulled the marble back at the 'las' part as instructed, there was now a golden band around it. "Cool."

Hogwarts RPG Name: Norah Kittredge Seventh Year | post 2, missed Lil' gooz | Sarangel | Junior Dweeb It took a good five seconds AND a collision between Adi and Zander for Norah to turn her attention away from the crater she'd made and fish another marble from the little bag. All the colors together on the planets' craters were just really pretty, okay? Pretty things deserved to be appreciated. Well, everything else deserved to be appreciated too, but now she was just wasting time.
She held her newly chosen marble over the tip of her wand and cast, "Tikalas," letting a gold ring form before launching it in the direction of the second planet again. That was gonna be HER planet. GO GO GO. The marble flew at the planet just as it changed direction, and ended up hitting nothing at all. Wow. WOW. That wasn't very nice of her future planet, nuh uh.

Oh? Activity that actually requires movement? Well, about time! Ethan didn’t need to be told twice as he crammed his notes and quill inside his bag, and stuck it to his chair. Once that was done, he got out of his seat, kicked back his table and chair and watched it descend on the ground.
Floating and turning upside down, Ethan got his wand in his hand and listened to the professor’s instructions. Well, the rules weren’t too confusing, thankfully. He knew that he and the rest of the Slytherins would do well in this activity. Yep. Getting his own pack of ‘meteoroids’ Ethan took a peek and procured one green marble out from it and positioned it, aiming to hit planet number one.
As soon as he heard the word engage, Ethan muttered the spell, “Tikalas” and watched his marble land on planet number 3 instead of planet number 1.
Huh. Lucky shot.

| Post 3, Planet 2 Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite The relative silence in response to his question shouldn't have concerned him too much, not for two reasons; 1. The Professor had been giving him that treatment since whatever mix up occurred making this out to be something of a trend setting in and 2. No one answered him in Potions lesson either til Kyroh. Blaise would simply chalk this down to older students not being too keen on talking to younger ones. He didn't particularly mind because sometimes he did that to Julie when she wanted to talk to him and his friends. So it was probably normal.
Right now? He would just keep shooting marbles and hope for the best. Roughly four marbles sent and everyone still had both eyes lodged in their sockets and no craters on THEM so this was enough of a success for him--not to say it was possible with all the MAGIC the Professor used to prevent that.
Magic was so neat.
Except right now where even though it was working, it wasn't working. Blaise huffed a little, trying to get out any frustration building in his little chest then pulled for another red marble. In all the confusion it was hard to tell which planets where done for and which weren't so right now was just random selection and lots of finger crossing. "Tikalas!" And off it went! Did it surprise him that the marble went in the opposite direction of the first planet and ended up hitting the second one? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOPE, he was starting to think that's what the spell was meant for. Mhm.
See, the way he was starting to imagine it, no one in this room was actually hitting the target they were AIMING for, which left him in an understandably better mood. It wasn't that he sucked, it was simply the spell that was a little crooked and surely the Professor knew THAT. All a part of the demonstration that space rocks don't always CHOOSE where they end up. It all made perfect sense to this 11 year old and Airey was looking even more clever.

Since she had already succeeded in hitting Planet Three once, Marisol decided to try again. She grabbed another marble out of her pouch. She poked it with her wand, saying "Tikalas!" Once again the marble was lit with a golden halo. Ooh.
It slammed into the heart of the third planet, creating a giant emerald hole.

| Post 4, Planet 1 Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite With his new found confidence in the fact the spell was a shoddy one anyway, Blaise Bellaire was ready to take on this activity and proper ensure that the planets were decked in red. By now he had developed a strategy that couldn't possibly have failed in his eyes, namely, aiming for a planet he did not want.
Since this whole activity started, he'd been hoping to hit that dang first planet and had always managed to miss. His new course of action would simply be to NOT aim for that one. A bit of reverse psychology. He didn't know if rocks and marbles subscribed to such things but at this point what did he honestly have to lose? If he missed, he'd never aimed for it in the first place and if it DOES hit it, then that'd be a stroke of good luck on his part.
Best pep talk he'd gotten all evening.
All he had to do was aim his marble somewhere else, somewhere completely different but not through the window. This time he took aim at the third planet, noting it had a few holes already. He wouldn't be adding to them this time because it wasn't REALLY what he wanted...just don't tell his wand or it would make it happen. "Tikalas!" Oh look, his marbles were being shy again. It was okay, he was used to this and would give it some time and another cast. Sometimes the marbles just didn't understand their cues and it was like he'd learned through all those forced drama lessons, forgetting your cue leads to limited action. Right now, this little guy didn't KNOW that him yelling the spell at it meant move move move. No problem, he would try again. "Tikalas!"
Yup. Camera shy.
Ahem. "Tikalas!" Suddenly, as if it was finally remembering its lines after a deer in the headlights moment, the marble shot off, actually hitting into another marble which changed its course completely then had it bounce off the wall--which sent it toward a desk that FINALLY steered it toward...wait....wait, sweet Circe was this actually happening in real life? The first planet--THE ELUSIVE FIRST PLANET NOW HAD HIS GIGANTIC CRATER ON IT!! DID PROFESSOR AIREY SEE??
Did he even know he'd been aiming for that one for a while? Would he care? Time to move on Bellaire.

| Post 3; Planet 3...miss Treat Yo Self | +2 | Enabler | Nerd | Blink So this was getting crazy fast. Dante was seeing all the house colors zooming on by past him. It was amazing them where not mistakenly hitting him or something. It was possible. He did not trust people enough to not think about it. He was floating around trying to stay out of everyone way and get a good shot at any of the planets.
It did not matter which one.
He lined up his marble with his wand tip and cast "Tikalas!"
Merlins, saggy left....HE MISSED
ARGH!!!
Failure was not fun

It bugged him because the man did that ALOT. It would be alright if he did it for important reasons but it was always for stupid stuff! Glitter or pips falling. Flamsteed was a loose cannon and that did not seem like a good quality of a Professor. Frown still on his face, Kyroh raised his hand. "You need to say sorry. To Charlotte." Slytherin Prefect Charlotte. His Charlotte. Yes, Flammy needed to. "It's not okay to just tell at someone like that and then act like you didn't do anything. That's bullying Professor." He was so upset with her that he couldn't even LOOK at her. How terribly upsetting. It made the lip wibbling go away, though, because it was unfair and embarrassing, and she didn't want people to look at her anymore. Except for Professor. Airey. Flamsteed. He ought to look at her.
And then Kyroh spoke up, sweet and perfect and wonderful boyfriend Kyroh. Best human ever. Big blue eyes filled with adoration fixed on him. She was glad that Professor. Airey. Flamsteed. didn't go after poor wonderful Kyroh for standing up for her, but he LOOKED at him, at least. Still not looking at Dot.
Once they were released from their seats, Dot shoved her desk away and threw herself at Kyroh, wringing him around the neck with a hug. No kisses, though, because Merlin knew that Professor. Airey. Flamsteed. didn't approve of anything.
"You were wonderful. Go ahead and take out a planet with all that mighty superhero anger you're working up," Dot gave Kyroh another squeeze before she lifted her own wand. Her own superhero anger was starting to color her mermaid sadness, and she thought she could take on a planet by herself. That middle one? IT MADE HER FURIOUS. SO MIDDLE.
So what was? Just... hold the marble, cast the spell, aim.... and go! It was like Quidditch, only the ball was smaller, no one got knocked out, and there weren't any cheerleaders. "I'd be a very good cheerleader," she informed her wand, before saying, "Tikalas."
She let go of the marble right over the tip of her wand, slung it back, and released it right in the direction of the terrible middle planet. Awful middle planet. AND STRIKE!

He was going to bet that Slytherin will not win this activity. Why? It seemed that the odds are always against them when it comes to these activities...except for...well, capture the flag last term. They totally owned that ravine, and it was awesome to see the area full of green banners. Maybe they work better while on ground? Probably.
Floating and somersaulting involuntary was actually fun, but not when you have to CLAIM a planet. He and the rest of the Slytherins need to channel out their inner Khan...or inner Kirk to win this activity.
Swirling like a stiff ballerina, Ethan fished out another green marble, and positioned it at the tip of his wand. The Slytherin bit his lip as he concentrated on Planet 3 again, trying his best to ignore that he’s now aiming at it while floating upside down. “Tikalas!” Pffffffft. Boom.
SCORE.

| Post 5, Planet 2 Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite The great thing about getting an experiment right was that feeling of accomplishment that started sinking in right after that. The bad thing? Easy, not being sure you could do it a second time. If he couldn't duplicate his actions just now it was likely to have only been a fluke which was even worse because it meant he'd never truly grasped it the first time.
You couldn't show off if you never grasped something 'cause then others might insist you show them TOO and then you'd look like the biggest loser ever.
On second thought, maybe it was a good thing the Professor hadn't seen the way he got the planet the first time in case he was expecting him to do it AGAIN. Right now the boy was still getting accustomed to his wand. The lady at the shop promised it would be loyal to him and all that fancy stuff but right now they were at a crossroad in their relationship and the wand seemed to be doing all the tugging.
He couldn't just NOT go along with the tugging. What if it left without him because he refused to keep up and it found someone NEW????? The hypothetical analogy was suddenly all too real for the Gryffindor who was now trying to shake the thoughts free from his head. Just relax Blaise. Be in control. The wand listens to you. [s]If only.
The Gryffindor took another deep breath and went back to the tactic of the last cast. Absolutely not aiming at planet 1. That was how he did it last time and it worked. This time he put all his concentration into it, as much as his brain could allow and got another marble set. He would aim at the second planet this time. "Tikalas!"
...
........
....................
Oh SURE. NOW you go where you're meant to. Blaise watched in utter disbelief and dismay as the marble plummeted into the second planet and made its mark. It was where he wanted technically but obviously someone missed the memo on reverse psychology that had worked so well just now.
Merlin!
