| | Astronomy Lesson 1 :: Cosmic Collisions - Craters
The crisp September evening air may be just the ticket to helping you stay awake this time of evening on your first day of lessons. Or just make you want to bundle up under the covers back in your dormitory. We won’t tell you how to feel.
Stepping into the Astronomy classroom, you may be a little perplexed to find any desks or chairs in the classroom and instead are greeted with what looks like a giant sandbox with glistening white sand. After another moment or two, you are swept off your feet by some unseen force that causing you to float up into the air - although you will need to do a little bit of air swimming to reach your seat. The initial feeling is similar to that of going down the first big dip in a roller coaster, but certainly not enough to make anyone nauseous enough for a little dinner show-and tell. Looking up, you see that the large semicircle of desks and chairs are all suspended in midair some 15 feet or so above the ground, rocking ever so slightly up and down thanks to the enchantments placed upon them. The blackboard, positioned across from the semicircle of desks, has the following instructions written upon it: Quote:
Take out a quill and write your FULL name and year on the piece of parchment provided.
Once you have done so, give it a tap with your wand.
The parchment, enchanted by the professor himself, will turn into a sturdy wood name plaque when you do so. Don’t worry, it won’t go floating away from you but rather stick firmly to your desk.
Did you remember to use the lint roller on the small table outside of the classroom? It was there next to the sign that reads, "Not to be used as a brush for your hair" and has the signature of a former student in the bottom right corner. Also next to the sign is a small box containing an assortment of pips that you are meant to take and wear proudly on your robes for the duration of the lesson Professor Flamsteed is floating somewhere near the blackboard looking especially pleased with himself this evening. Surely that cannot be a good thing? ⌦Lesson Progression

Where were the lions at? Or was it just because there were SO many people and marbles flying around that she was missing them? Either way it sure seemed like there were a lot of other students from OTHER houses flinging marbles and she wanted Gryffindor to have them all. Was that greedy of her? Probably. She was just SUPER competitive. She was too far into the zone too. So, even if she was the last lion standing, she wouldn't be going down without a fight.
Could the lions even claim more than one planet? Erm... she wasn't sure. Surely that part was mentioned in the directions, but that was A LOT of talking, and she just wasn't about that life.
With another marble aligned with the tip of her wand, AJ said the magic word... "tikalas!" The marble was pulled back at just the right time. Everything was happening just the way it was supposed to be. Perfect aim. Yes. Things couldn't be any better. Go time. Her marble was going, going.... HIT. Another hit for AJ Valentine!

| Post #3; Planet #2, hit urine trouble | Pat's Strong Confident Other Half | Pees Like a Champion Unicorn Racehorse Suddenly uplifted by his good fortune, Phillip PUNCHED the air in joy. THIS was what he was talking about! Could he celebrate this small success? COULD he? He needed to find another spot -- an empty spot -- on the planet to target at before it was too late. So, he was going to use THAT as an excuse to, well, do some air swimming.
That's right, folks, AIR SWIMMING.
So off the first year went, rising up and moving arouuuuuuuuuuuund to another spot where he could get a better aim at the planet. Maybe it was the thought that the marbles couldn't hurt him really, OR the thought that he just didn't care too much that made him, kind of, flyyyyyyyyyy in the air. And he was going to make this look as dramatic as possible.
*insert Ride of the Valkyries here*
Look at him GO! Flying this way..... dodging as many marbles as he can that way...........
After he reached his destination with some difficulty -- okay, it wasn't his ACTUAL destination that he was intending for but it was going to have to do -- Phillip tried to hover in the air and aim for the second planet. Again. Just because he could. "TikaLAS!" Off you go, marble! Shoo!
And............. hit number two!

Was AJ in the zone or what? So far she hadn't missed one time. Those planets didn't stand a chance against her. Having such success made her focus only that much more. It was true what they said about having a positive outlook and believing in yourself. Of course actually proving that you were awesome at something to yourself was even better.
No time to waste.
She didn't want to give the other houses any time to catch up or even the playing field. With another marble in her hand, she quickly placed it on the tip of her wand. "Tikalas." AJ really took the time to sound of the incantation so she would have enough time to pull the marble back. The gold color shine happened once more, and all that was left to do was aim it at the planet.
Off it went. Please hit. Please hit. Right before her very eyes, her marble was right on track. Another hit for her. Three times in a row. One could only hope to be able to keep this momentum up.

| Post #3, Planet #2 Made of Awesome | Ern-la the Best-wa | TZ's Apogee Gryffindors. Boo. Hiss. If the Slytherins had to fall to anyone, Dot would rather it be Ravenclaw. Not the lion babies. She growled quietly under her breath and glared at that traitorous first planet, before turning her attention to the second and third planets again.
All was not lost, right? That second planet was looking pretty green. Pretty and green. "Focus on that second one, Snakes! It's ours for the taking!" That was what prefects did, yeah? Rallied the troops?
Now, to put her knuts where her mouth was... Dot plucked yet another green marble from her bag and lined up her shot with that floaty green giant planet. Nearly-green, at least. "Tikalas," Dot flicked her marble hard at the planet. Extra extra hard, because she wanted to make the hugest crater ever and start a new ice age on that planet. A Snake Age, actually. Yeah, that's what she was gonna do.

WHAT? TO GRYFFINDOR?
Olly's eyes narrowed in frustration. He was definitely not happy about that new development. The only consolation was that at least it was Gryffindor and not one of the other houses. Ellery was a Gryffindor so he supposed he could let her have that. Not that she had necessarily contributed to the win, but still. It was her house and therefore a victory for her. FINE.
But Olly would not give up on the other planets. He did not want to lose to anybody else humph. He quickly grabbed another marble from his sack and aimed for one of the planets. He couldn't tell the difference between the other two anymore, not when they were both covered in craters of all different colors. He took aim at one and held the marble right in front of his wand. Oh he was so ready. "Tikalas!" Ready, aim, FIRE.
BULLSEYE!

Did everyone SEE that? GRYFFINROAAAAAR. Hashtag LIONNATION. #GryffinPWN. #Actuallythat'sit. That's all Zander had. But, he was very VERY proud of Gryffindor house for sealing away one of the three planets. GO TEAM. Which meant technically, they only needed one more planet to come out as the TRUE winners of this whole thing.... He did notice the sheer amount of green being flung towards the second planet, but there was TONS of red going on at the last one....
And so why not finish it off, right? Zander was gonna focus all his energy at planet number three. 'Cause Adair was going in with some strategy here. While everyone fought over number two... He was gonna go over hither and be sneaky. Well, not that sneaky. But still.
He took out another red marble, "TIKALAS!" he managed and watched as a golden hoop appeared for the RELEASE. And FIYAAAAAH. Ahem. It was a very nice looking red crater if he said so himself. Heh. And his aim was on pooooooint. See what seven years of education can get you kids?

| Post 1; Planet #3 (miss) be curious, not judgmental Notes completed, class materials put away, desk pushed away, wand in hand - Sophie Brown was READY FOR ACTION. She caught her small drawstring brown bag and peeked inside it, admiring her blue marbles before watching with BIG, HAPPY EYES as Airey made the sand into PLANETS. He always did the COOLEST magic, and Soph LOVED it. Good on you, Starman. Keep impressing the kiddos. She was certain this was a prime example of why so many kids LOVED his classes. Never a dull moment. The spell Tikalas made her giggle, though, and shot a glance over toward Zander. The magic behind the spell was even MORE awesome, and she was PUMPED TO GET STARTED.
At the order to ENGAGE, Sophie SALUTED, slipped the string of the bag over her wrist, and pulled out a blue marble. Pretty, it was, but she wanted to see what it could DO. She held up her wand and put the marble at the end, then cast "Tikalas!" as she pulled the marble back like a slingshot--
...But no gold band appeared, and she was left pulling back the marble in disappointment. NOTHING. NO RESISTANCE. She was usually pretty good at getting things on the first try, so this was one of those rare moments of confusion for Sophie Brown, but she didn't hesitate to try again - she brought the marble back to the tip of her wand, and started the pullll the marble back again the moment she cast, "Tikalas!"
...But again, no band appeared, and Sophie Brown was a DISAPPOINTMENT TO HER HOUSE AND FLAMSTEED AND MANKIND AS A WHOLE.
People around her were having loads of success, and there was the Head Girl, struggling with what should've been a SUPER easy spell. So. Uh? Her wand definitely wasn't broken, as she polished it regularly and made sure it was in TIP TOP CONDITION, so it was definitely all her. Maybe... it was a combination of the whole floating thing, of the fluster of competition and feeling like she had to lead Ravenclaw to domination, of missing Tobes and thinking he'd think all of this was super fun, and of wanting to impress people. Too many factors clouding the seventh year's brain, and she took a deeeep, cleansing breath, her eyes closing, and she tried to focus on the task at hand. She saw what she wanted the marble to do in her mind's eye, the gold band that would appear to launch the marble, and envisioned the fluid, simple, slingshot-like motion--
Opening her eyes, Soph did exactly what she saw herself do in her head, lining the marble back up with the tip of her wand, then cast with determination as she pulled the marble back, "Tikalas!" THE GOLD BAND APPEARED, and much to her delight, she aiiiimed at the nearest planet and LAUNCHED HER MARBLE.
And she missed.
That was disappointing.

| Post 2; Planet #3 (hit) be curious, not judgmental Well... at least she'd gotten the spell down finally. A confidence boost there, but not so much with her AIM. Merlin. She'd just say it had to do with her OVEREXCITEMENT over having finally gotten the spell to work in the first place, so of COURSE her aim was going to be insufficient. There was just a BURST OF ENERGY that made her SO EXCITED TO RELEASE THE MARBLE WITHOUT GIVING IT PROPER CALCULATIONS.
Yeah. She'd go with that.
Even worse was that by the time she'd FINALLY launched that first marble, Gryffindor had ALREADY taken the first planet, and now their huge house crest was floating (more like GLOATING) for them all to see. Great. Juuuuust great. Now there were only TWO planets left, and... at least the one she'd wanted to get was still in tact, so. Sophie Brown was going to MAKE IT HERS.
Fueled by determination to not let the Gryffindors take ALL the planets, she was ready to try again and plucked another blue marble from her drawstring bag, then swam through the air a bit to get a better positioning in relevance to the planet she had just missed. She was going to GET THAT ONE WHETHER IT LIKED IT OR NOT.
She positioned the marble at the tip of her wand, already aiming at the planet in question, then pulled it back as she cast, "Tikalas!" Gold band in tact, she LAUNCHED the marble toward the planet-- and-- BULLSEYE!
TAKE THAT, PLANET. THERE WERE MORE BLUE CRATERS WHERE THAT CAME FROM.

| Post 4 - Missng planet 3 ♥s her SS family l Wifey is MINE | Naughty Niffler l Whittysaur l #awkwardturtle<# Feelng that the activity was coming closer to an end, Paulina wanted to try her best to get more craters in.
This activity was quite fun her opinion, and floating in 'space' gave it an added challenge that she rather enjoyed - even though it gave her the occasional motion sickness. Right now, for instance, she had managed to do a somersault of sorts in the air. It had been pretty enjoyable, but looking down on the classroom hadn't been. Everything seemed so far below, and it really put into perspective just how high up they were. She had to wonder how they were going to get back down to earth...
Deciding not to dwell on Professor Flamsteed's plan in that regard, Paulina got back to the business at hand: making pretty yellow craters.
Marble at the ready, she muttered, "Tikalas."

| Post 3; Planet #3 (hit) be curious, not judgmental Now that she'd REALLY gotten the spell down, Sophie Brown was liking this activity a whole lot more. She still wished Tobes was here, but she would just fight in his honor, then, and tell him all about this later. Well... maybe, depending on how his mood was. She didn't want to make him feel BAD for not being in class and missing out on this. She just wanted him to know how much she missed him and how she thought of him the whole class. It was nice to be missed, wasn't it? So that was the idea. She wanted to make sure he KNEW he was loved, and that she wasn't moving on or replacing him. There'd always be that place in her heart reserved only for Tobias Fuller-Thompson.
Another blue marble extracted from the bag on her wrist, and Sophie floated around the planet she'd just struck, determined to hit it AGAIN. She just had to find a good place to do it, a part of the planet that wasn't already struck by a crater so she could make SURE that the blue REALLY made a good impact and covered as much of the planet as possible. She wanted to make SURE this one REALLY counted, so she kept floating around it, taking her time, calculating positioning and squinting a little to find the best spot, a place where she felt like she could hit and - with a glance to her classmates - where no one else was about to shoot...
...THERE! With sharp reflexes, Soph aimed right at the spot she felt best about, lining up the marble at the tip of her wand and casting "Tikalas!" as she pulled it back, launching the marble with great acceleration thanks to the magical golden band-- BOOOOM! COSMIC COLLISION! Did anyone SEE that?! SO WICKED COOL.
Stand back, Gryffindors, and look out, planet three. Ravenclaw was COMING FOR YOU.

| Post #4; missing planet #2 and hitting planet #3 urine trouble | Pat's Strong Confident Other Half | Pees Like a Champion Unicorn Racehorse You know what made all of this MUCH harder than it should be? The planets orbitting. Phillip had just about managed to cast the spell, "TikaLAS!" get his aim straight for that planet over THERE when.......... it moved away.
And his marble? That was lost somewhere else.
SCOWL.
The sound of their Lady Prefect talking to them, the green people, made him turn his attention towards HER instead. Aim for planet two? AYE AYE! Did Lady Prefect SEEEEE that two of the green craters on the second planet were because of him? Proud, he was, of that little fact.
With a small proud grin on his face, Phillip reached into his bag and pulled out another green marble. "TikaLAS!" Aiiiiim.......... and SHOOT! GO AND FLY TOWARDS THE SECOND.............
.............. uh.
THAT wasn't the second planet, marble. Sure, it BOOMed its way to the third one but they had a PLAN.

| Post 4; Planet #3 (hit) be curious, not judgmental The planet kept changing its orbit, moving unpredictably, but Sophie kept swimming after it, determined to NOT let this one go. No, this one was going to be HERS. She wanted to see it became a RAVENCLAW CREST for the WHOLE WORLD TO SEE. Gryffindors weren't ALLOWED to get another one in her book, so it was Ravenclaw against the Slytherins and Hufflepuffs. She just had to make Ravenclaw's craters outnumber THEIRS.
How embarrassing would it be if the other three houses dominated a planet, but Ravenclaw didn't? What kind of leader would she be?
Not a very good one, she decided. She had to make sure they at LEAST got one. Just one. Right? Riiiiight?
At least she had some former Chasing skills to fall back upon from her Quidditch days AND from Gobstones, too. While she didn't get to THROW these marbles, at least her aim should've been PRETTY decent with this cool magical slingshot contraption sort of thing. That, plus her knack for playfully tossing things at her friends, like the jelly beans she used to bother the older Ravenclaw boys with back when she was a first and second year, should've been enough to ensure her some mighty fine shots.
Confident in her aim for these reasons, Soph kept tracking down the planet in question, surveying the amount of each house's craters on it - she didn't like the looks of the amount of blue, but she was optimistic that she could keep trying to make a dent, enough to overtake the other house's colors - and plucked another blue marble from her bag in her pursuit. Getting prepared to take her shot, Sophie put the marble at the tip of her wand, made sure to keep her expected trajectory aimed well at the planet - then, in a moment of impulsivity as the planet changed directions once again, cast "Tikalas!" as she pulled back the marble, the gold band sending it shooting toward the planet-- BOOOM! The marble JUST exploded against the planet as it had almost moved out of its trajectory, leaving a beautiful blue crater, and Sophie pumped her fist in the air in success... and also sighed in relief. Soooo close. So close. But persistence always paid off, didn't it? She was going to keep trailing this planet until it was RAVENCLAW'S.
Even though the Grey Lady thought Sophie Brown was highly unladylike and disapproved of the seventh year's whole life in general, Soph wanted her to SEE her now, fighting in SUCH AN UNLADYLIKE MANNER for the GOOD OF RAVENCLAW. That would certainly earn some credibility points back with her, right? Riiiight? House loyalty above being ladylike? Shouldn't THAT have been most important?

Time to go again. There was not time to wait between shots. If Oliver wanted to win, he needed to get as many green craters on that planet as possible. He didn't let it get out of his sight as he reached into his bag and pulled out another marble. How many were in there? Probably a LOT more than he would expect...or be able to count. It was magic, after all. It was good, it meant he would be able to make a lot more green craters.
He held the marble carefully over the tip of his wand and aimed toward the planet. It would be a lot easier if they were not moving, but luckily his aim had always been on point so far. That better not change any time soon. Not if he was counting on a win for Slytherin. "Tikalas." And release and...hit! He grinned smugly as he watched a new green crater appear on the surface of the planet. But it was hard to tell what color held the majority.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Norah Kittredge Seventh Year | Post 5 planet 3 (hit) Lil' gooz | Sarangel | Junior Dweeb Norah pulled another marble from the bag more quickly this time, because the two planets were covering up with craters reeeeal fast. And not just any craters, mostly NOT yellow craters. That was tragic for sure. Where were all those Puff at, huh? As much as she was ready to be the queen of a planet, she couldn't do the entire thing all by herself. She couldn't do much of anything all by herself.
She propelled herself even further left to try and get in a position where she could aim at a surface free of craters on the second planet. Did craters on top of craters even count? Could craters on top of craters even HAPPEN? She looked back at where Professor Flamsteed was floating, considering going over to ask him what'd happen if two space rocks hit earth in the same exact place, but eventually decided to stay put 'cause she was wasting loads of time doing all this thinking. Who needed thinking, anyways. Positioning her marble over the tip of her wand, she cast "Tikalas" and didn't stop to admire the pretty golden band before launching the marble at the second planet. The little sphere missed the planet by a good meter or so, but made contact with the third planet instead. Well. That worked too.

Now was not the time to hesitate. Oliver had another marble in his hand just seconds after the previous one had hit its mark. He did spare a few seconds to glance around and get a feel for his competition. The people in the general vicinity of himself were mostly aiming toward the other planet. Fine. He couldn't aim for both of them at the same time. As long as Slytherin won one, he would be happy. Ahem. "Tikalas." Wand in position. Marble in position. He pulled back slightly and released, his sights focused on the movement of his planet. The marble shot forward and hit its mark. Olly grinned and wasted no time before pulling more marbles out of his bag. Come on fellow Slytherins, now was the time to win.

RIGHT.
So Phillip was going to ignore that last hit and swiiiiiiim his way over towards that second planet over there. Dramatic air swimming was happening while a dramatic song played in his head. That was what was making this a LOT more interesting than it already was. This was serious business, after all.
And if the planet moved unexpectedly AGAIN, he was..... he didn't know right now but he'd think of something, okay? This boy wasn't about to give up! "TikaLAS!" Now pull back the marble and aim for that planet over there. He was GOING to hit it, even if it meant that he had to swim after it dramatically while being hit by oncoming marbles. If only actual swimming was this much fun.
Aim.......
.......... swim a little........
............... aim.........
................... swim a little more because Merlin, this planet liked to move, didn't it.........
......... AND SHOOT! "YES!" Cue another air!pump. THAT was what he was talking about!

He had read about non-verbal magic as soon happening upon a mention of it in one of his books, and as far as he could tell, it was considered to be quite advanced. Witches and wizards were not expected to be able to manage it until they were about sixteen or seventeen, generally speaking.
Of course, that did not mean he wasn't going to try to learn non-verbal magic as soon as possible, starting right now, just that he was being realistic and not expecting it to work straight away. But, judging by what Daxton already knew he could do, and by what he knew about his wand properties, he could probably master it in, oh... a few years? No doubt.
After spinning the floating marble in the air a couple of times, Daxton tried again. He held little blue orb above his wand. 'Tikalas.'
Back the marble was pulled in time with the '-las', but no gold band appeared. Obviously the 'spell' had not worked, but Daxton released it again anyway. As expected, it simply floated.
And now he was bored, because he had an entire drawstring bag full of these things, and could not for the life of him manage to make a crater. He thought he would much prefer attempting the spell (or any spells) on his own, in private, which left him with nothing to do until the end of class. Or so it seemed.
That moment, Daxton realised that his floating self had began to slowly drift back towards the main fray. He took a moment to scramble through the air and back towards the classroom wall, away from the ruckus.

| post 6 planet 3 doesn't proofread tweets | #wrongaboutcereal | #siriusly? | emo to the extremo Merlin. It sure felt a whole like Gryffindor against the world right now. What with their crest already dominating one planet's place... It looked like all the other houses were determined to keep Gryffindor's successes limited to just the one. BUT LET'S TALK ABOUT SLYTHERIN FOR A MINUTE HERE!!!
Didn't people even care that planet two was looking ENTIRELY TOO GREEN??? Because Zander cared. Zander cared a whole lot. Gryffindor takeover couldn't happen if Slytherin got planet two. 'Cause then it'd be slytherin and gryffindor takeover and no. That wasn't allowed. Not on Zander's watch anyways. Flamsteed had definitely got the competitive side out of this one.
So with all his might he tried his best to SWIM over to... Eh. He'd get planet two after he shot another one at this guy. Like he was already all the way over here. Might as well just take another dig at it while he could. Plus this whole swimming back and forth thing was a lot of work. "Tikalas!" he again drew his wand back and flung the marble straight towards planet number threeeeee. EHE. Another success. Take that Slytherin! HA! And also all the other houses too. Ahem.

Carefully wiggling three out from his bag, Davie again cast, "Tikalas!" on his wand, pulling back the gold rubber band with the last syllable. He tried to arrange three marbles on the band, though it was tricky, and then let them all fly toward planet #2.
Did he hit it? Did he? DID HE---- oh.
No. There really wasn't enough strength to hit the planet andddd it was harder to aim three than one. So he'd go back to one again.

Go go go! How much time was left in class? Olly glanced around, but there was nothing around to indicate how long he had until class, and the activity, was over. It was probably soon though, which meant he should act as fast as possible if he wanted to be able to win. He had gotten the hang of the activity, and was able to have his next marble ready in seconds. He held his wand out and held the little marble above his wand. Ready...oof.
Somebody smacked right into him. Unsurprising, considering the amount of activity happening in the room. He was honestly surprised it had not happened more often. And luckily he'd been interrupted before performing the spell, so his marble did not go off course or anything. He simply had to take aim again. "Tikalas!" That attempt went off without a hitch. The marble shot toward the planet, right where his aim was directed. And perfect hit again. YES!

| Post 5; Planet #3 (hit) be curious, not judgmental Sophie Brown was having the absolute time of her life, really. She got to float, she got to do magic, she got to make explosions that resulted in pretty blue craters in the bodies acting as planets - it was the GREATEST. But there was a LOT of Slytherin action happening, and there was a LOT of Gryffindoring happening, too. Sophie was WATCHING YOU, ZANDER ADAIR. TARGETING HER PLANET.
"Zanderrrrr, you guys already GOT one. Leave this one for Ravenclaw. Wouldn't our crests look nice together?" Eh? Ehhhh??
Would the boyfriend just let her have it? She didn't think so, but it didn't hurt to bat her pretty little eyelashes at him.
In the next moment from being cute in his direction, Sophie put on her game face again, put her wand into place, snatched up another blue marble from her bag, and positioned it at the tip of her wand, squinting in concentration. She was losing the planet in its orbit, though, as it was still moving unpredictably and making her chase it down. Eventually, she just came to a halt in the air, stuck her wand back out in front of her, and cast "Tikalas!" as she pulled back on the marble, the golden band appearing once more and aiming as it sent her blue marble flying forward-- CRASH! The impact of her marble on the planet left another blue crater, and Sophie shot a smug look to Zander Adair. TOLD HIM IT WAS HERS. "Doesn't that look WAY better?" It did, didn't it? HEHEHE.

Olly was getting tired. First he'd had to walk all the up countless flights of stairs to the highest point in the castle. Then he'd had to sit through the lesson, a rather boring one if he did say so himself. And it was LATE. He wanted to eat some candy and go to bed. But he was still in class, and no matter how tired he was his eagerness to win would not fade. So he took a deep breath and readied another marble above his wand. "Tikalas!" He let the marble shoot forward and watched as it hit its mark. It was the same thing over and over, but he did not tire of it. He would not tire of that feeling of satisfaction as it - hopefully - brought him closer to winning.

| Post 1 Practice Toothless - Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror - DoctorDonna So there was one planet won by his house. Benny was proud of that fact even if he was getting distracted by Angel and the Professor. It wasn\'t too hard to notice there was something up with his ex-girlfriend, possibly connected with him. He inwardly sighed and strove to ignore it in favor of bigger things. Like planets and house pride rather then personal issues. He just needed to focus on the spell work to make it right.
"Tikalas..." The Gryffindor said, speaking the demonstrated incantation aloud. "Tikalas...tikalas...tikalas." That practice seemed to be well enough. The wand work was more tricky. Marble out in one hand, his wand out in the other as he floated. He put the marble at the tip as shown or described, he nearly forgot which. Benny then counted out three representing the three syllables of the incantation, not wanting to speak and act together until he was ready. As he hit syllable three, he pulled away. Trying it a few more times until it felt smoother, the Gryffindor looked for the two sand planets that needed to be claimed by the lions.
Time to take them.

So he floated-swam back toward planet number two, lined up ONE marble with his wand, and aimed.
"TikaLAS!" Down down dowwwn went the marble, closer and closer to planet two, and.... SUCCESS! A blue crater for him!
