If you're looking to get from the Courtyard to the rest of the grounds then there's only one way of going about it and that's walking across the rickety old wooden bridge. Not to worry, there are charms in place to ensure the bridge does not collapse from under you but the antique feel of old wood is still present and gives the walk a nice--if not thrilling--atmosphere.
If you happen to peer over the edge, you'll notice a deep precipice-like structure below. It's a far fall to be certain with trees and rocks at the bottom and a rugged cliff face should you decide to climb down there. Unfortunately or perhaps fortunately as the case is, there is nothing down there but said trees and rocks.
Occasionally the wooden floor creaks and if you stand still enough in the right breeze you can almost swear the bridge is moving but that is likely your imagination.
This was something of a tradition now. Every year, he found himself here, on this very bridge, in this very spot, looking and leaning over the edge as far as he possibly could without plunging to his death. Ahem. Death was unfavourable.
It was here that he contemplated what the new school year might have in store for him, and as far as he could tell, it was going to be painful. Third year was scary, SUPER scary... and might very well be the death of him. Why did it seem like reading and homework was going to strangle and suffocate him? Term was only JUST starting, and already he felt so disorganised, like EVERYTHING was going to pile up in the blink of an eye - which was highly likely seeing as he had procrastination issues.
Sigh.
Oh, the bridge!
Last time Timmy was here, she was blowing flavored bubbles her mum had made and sent her. She was here with that girl, what was her name? ... Anyway, skipping towards the bridge, the blonde pulled up her hoodie, due to the chilly weather that was starting again. But that just meant her birthday was soon and she was turning thirteen. THIRTEEN! The big one three! Officially a teenager! Whoa.
But on her way there, she spotted a boy. Hello, possible new friend. Timmy slowly approached him and tapped his shoulder. "Are you alright? You seem to be dazed out," Like a lot.

He should have been more vigilant, but it was hard to be when one was so engrossed in their own thoughts about pending doom and loss of freedom and all the bad things that were going to manifest and ruin his otherwise perfect life.
Cue more sighing.
As it was, he didn't realise he wasn't alone until there was a tapping on his shoulder. Huh??????...... Turning he noticed a girl. He recognised her vaguely, only that she was a fellow Lion, but beyond that he knew nothing.
...
"Hi," he replied eventually, delayed reactions seemed to be a thing. But to answer her question... "I'm good, fine, alright I guess, just thinking of how sucky life is when you have homework." So yeah, self induced pity party. Did she want to join?

Talking about this was upsetting but at the same time it made him feel better. Mostly he had kept everything to himself though AJ did know what was going on. "I know she will but she's just making this difficult.'' Parents! Gosh! Thank Merlin his dad was as cool as he was. Or rather, thank Merlin Adi was as cool as his dad. "Nope, she hasn't. I thought that maybe she could have met AJ at King's Cross but she got me annoyed again so I just got away from her and dad.'' It wasn't exactly his proudest moment but there was only so much nagging he could take. "I'll try again for them to meet though. Hopefully mom would have come around a bit by then.''
"Yep, really!'' Adi was so pleased to find out that Hades was into creatures too. "I'll appoint you my official Healer along with AJ for my Griffs, Hades.'' Hehe. If Hady was up for it, he would do it! Who better to have look after his future Hippogriffs than his girlfriend and friend? "I've just got my toad Gus and the my new pet rock, Pride.'' Yep, that's what he had named the newest addition to the family. "Got any favourite creatures? I hope Griffs are included in there.'' Cue the wink!
Adi laughed heartily. "Very funny! Yeah, I was freaked out. Imgaine a Howler embarrassing you in front of your friends.'' Admittedly, this Puffer would have found the entire situation funny rather than embarrassing. Hehe.
Adi now noticed Hady seemed less lost in thoughts. "So besides your future after Hogwarts, what else is on your mind?'' She did mention other 'stuff' vaguely.
Listening as Adi talked to her she was easily able to tell it was a hard subject for him and was more then willing to change it up and talk about more happier things. "I'm sure she'll come around soon enough, things will work out in the end." They had to really cause Adi was to nice of a guy to not be happy.
"Awesome! First I gotta learn how to do that though," she replied laughing softly as she brushed her hair off her face with the back of her hair. Why couldn't her hair just stay in place? "I have Hagan my kitty, Riddick my owl is home with my parents and so is Aime my snake and uh I also have Elvis the pet rock." Mhmm see Adi she had a Pet Rock too! Favorite creatures? Of course she had one! "Dragons but yes I love Hippogriffs too." What was there not to like about those?
"Exactly! And I was sure I hadn't done anything to be in trouble for so that hadn't helped," Hady told him laughing along with him. Really it had been funny just not in those first few seconds.
And there it was. The semi direct yet somewhat vague question. Why was everyone asking her this? Surely they all had read or at least seen that stupid flier paper thingy. Letting out a soft sigh as she wasn't sure what to think of it still she gave the simple reply of, "The Aparecium," figuring that Adi would know which part she was speaking of.
You know, Adi was always the guy to think positive stuff and see the good side of things even in bad situations but the entire scenario he was going through made it difficult for him to think that way entirely. But Hady... did Hady know how much she was helping him? She was making him REALLYYY believe that he could change his mom's mind. He smiled brightly, his eyes meeting hers. "I feel better now, Hades. Thanks for the encouragement!" Adi was very much pleased he had decided to tell her what was bothering him.
"You'll learn in no time! You'll see. I bet you'll be one of the best creatures Healer.'' Of course AJ would be number one because NO ONE could ever beat his girlfriend but Hady would be right up there. Yup. "Four,'' Adi said unnecessarily. "Nice names especially for the rock.'' Rock N' Roll name, yo! ''But you have a snake? Is it a poisonous one?'' Snakes were cool justnnot when they want to sink their fangs into you. It seemed everyone loved Dragons! "Dragons are second best.'' Hehe.
"Oh, THAT.'' Adi, being the subject of a few of those er, articles? understood where Hady was coming from. "It would do you no good to worry about the silly stuff they write, Hades,'' Adi advised. "Just laugh it off.'' He knew that was easier said than done but she could do it. So what if Zeke had put his arm around her? Friends could do that. Zeke and Hades were just friends, right? Sometimes Adi took a while to catch onto things like these... like Henric's and Leah's situation. LOL.

Timmy couldn't help but giggled. She didn't homework was too bad, but then it was boring and all that stuff. "Well, I agree but I don't like to be too negative on it," Timmy nodded, leaning on the railing carefully. No need to look down either. "I don't think we've ever formally met," She smiled, holding her hand out to the boy. "I'm Timila, but everyone calls me Timmy," Or Tiny Tim because of her height.
Whichever was better for the situation.

She'd made Adi feel better, actually managed to help him. Helped someone older then her that had a problem. How she had did that the third year wasn't completely sure but what mattered at the moment was that she had. "You're welcome Adi I'm glad I was able to help." She gave him a small smile. Helping was something she liked to do even when she wasn't able to help herself most times.
"Maybe time will tell I suppose," she answered laughing quietly. Time and lots of practice, lessons and whatever else she needed to do first. "Mhmm, thanks. Nah my father wouldn't allow me to get a poisonous one since I got Aime when I was about eight." She was lucky he even let her got the one she did. If it was up to her she'd have more snakes but then again maybe not since she was hardly home now.
Shuffling her feet a little bit she did her best to look at Adi as he spoke to her. What he was saying though was easier said then done but in the end he was right. "I know and Zeke already told me he didn't care about it and we should just let them think what they want, so that's what's gonna happen." Even if she had to ignore everyone to make it so.

Adi offered Hady another grin. Yes, talking about this with her certainly had helped. He just needed to make sure that he kept what he knew and what Hady had reminded him with him at all times even though that was certainly going to be a challenge. Especially when he knew his mother was going to owl him anytime soon to ask if 'he broke things off with that girl'. Hmph. He was going to ignore that message and all other ones with similar messages from her.
"All you have to do is to keep your goal in mind and work towards it,'' was the wise owl's badger's suggestion. Indeed. having a goal and working towards is almost always ensure that you got there. Aime was an unusual name for a snake, wasn't it? But Adi liked it. Unusual was good. "That makes sense.''
Adi could tell this was a touchy subject for Hady. "He would be right. If I worried about what others thought because of that they wrote, I wouldn't be showing my face anywhere.'' Like that article where they had written about him and Hannah and making his oldest Slytherin friend look like a cougar. LOL! Adi stifled a laugh. That always amused him. Honestly, he had never been after Hannah nor was it vice versa. She was too mean and rude for his taste, anyway. "So, cheer up, Hades! You'll see in a few days everyone will have forgotten what they read.'' Was Hady up for a hug? Hugs were good... they fixed you up at least a little bit. Adi cautiously put an arm around her and squished her for a second or two. He didn't like her worrying about that silly article.

The grin she was given then made her smile a bit more. Being helpful wasn't exactly a Slytherin trait but it seemed to certainly be a Hady trait and a good one.
"I intend to. In the end I normally figure things out." It might take loads of practice and drive her insane during the process but she always kept at it. Which is probably how she was a little more advanced with her charms work then some in her year. "I suppose. Doesn't mean I won't keep asking for another snake until my father finally agrees." Hady smirked slightly. Persistence was key when you wanted something bad enough.
Okay so Adi had a point there. She couldn't deny that. It was just keeping that point up front and center in her mind and moving onwards and upwards. "I'll be alright I always am. Whatever happens, happens now and just so we remain friends then things won't be so bad." Her friendship with Zeke was more important then anything else. Smiling up at him she accepted the one armed hug by wrapping one of her arms around him as well for the moment. Really Adi was an awesome friend, did he know that?

"If you need to talk again or even some advice, I'm always around.'' Adi just had to let Hady know that. But he laughed at what she said next. He was getting the feeling she was a tad stubborn which wasn't a bad thing. Of course he would think that. He was stubborn as well. "I bet he'll give in.''
"That's the spirit, Hades!'' Adi encouraged. She shouldn't let the article get her down though sometimes taking the risk at being more than friends really wasn't all that bad sometimes. But Adi wasn't going to hurt Hady's with such complicated stuff. Nope.
Adi released his friend from the squish. "Thanks again, Hady.'' He smiled broadly, really feeling as though a ton had been lifted from his shoulders. "I should get going now, okay? I'll see you around.'' With a cheerful goodbye, Adi set off back towards the Castle.

"Thanks, the same goes for you." Hady grinned a little bit up at him. If she was able to talk to him then he should know that he could always come and talk with her as well. She was a great listener even if she couldn't always help with the situation. "Maybe. I'm not to fussed really if he keeps saying no."
Laughing quietly she nodded her head. "I'm trying." All she really needed was to talk it over with someone and clear her head which she had done. Now she'd be alright just so she didn't focus on it which she wouldn't.
Feeling Adi let her go she smirked slightly stepping backwards to lean on the railing once more. "Anytime Adi." She returned his smile with a small one of her own. "Okay, see you later," she agreed with a firm nod of her head watching him leave for a moment before turning and walking the way she had been before they'd stopped to talk earlier.

Dakest had told him that outdoors could be helpful with keeping in touch with the happy memories and Adi couldn't agree more. This was why he was yet again at the Wooden Bridge. This bridge was associated with his happy memory and he had told the Professor that he would meet him here. So Adi was waiting for the man but that didn't mean he wasn't trying to conjure up a patronus on his own.
Nope. This Puffer hated wasting time but so far, he was lucking out. That was not surprising, was it? At least in the maze and the DADA classroom he had produced a wisp. He took a deep breath and tried again.

Zhenya had found she was getting cabin fever, studying in the library and the Slytherin common room, and she needed a break. She needed to be outdoors. So, she rugged up and went outside and went for a walk... after a while, she found herself to be on the wooden bridge, where she stopped to look out at the beautiful Hogwarts grounds.

Nothing!
How sad. Hmph.
It took him a bit longer than he expected to get to the meeting place. A disraught fourth year Gryffindor had taken a bit longer to sort out than he had expected. But really, he should have expected the time. It was in the definition of disraught. Why he wasn't a Ravenclaw.
But it seemed a few minutes late or not, his absence had not gone missed. Sabel watched the kid as he made his way to the bridge. Once there, he rested his forearms over the railing and shot the Hufflepuff a grin. "Easy does it Rehman. You look like you're about to burst something."

"Don't love me for fun, girl. Let me be the one, girl... Love me for a reason, let the reason be love..."
It was a very beautiful day and Jackson was just walking around the ground. He didn't have anything to do today. Though actually he should've started studying for OWLs but studying was boring. Huh. Or maybe he should work on his homework but... Never mind. There's actually something that had stuck on his mind lately. Maybe he should talk about this to a friend, but WHO? He didn't want to tell this to Yoongi because that boy seemed not a trustworthy person to keep his secret.
Walking through the bridge while he's still singing, the Korean boy spotted a familiar face. "Hey, Noona." He smiled and greeted that Slytherin girl. "What are you doing here?" He asked. Wasn't she supposed to study for NEWTs? Yeah, Jackson often saw her carrying books around. Even once he met her studying at the library. Well, maybe she was tired. Grabbing a chocolate bar from his pocket, he broke it into two pieces and handed one of it to Zhenya. "You want some?"

Zhenya thought she could hear someone singing? She looked around just as her friend Jackson approached. Her serious face broke into a smile. Noona. "Hi Jackson," she greeted her friend, happy for some company. What was she doing here? "I just needed a break from study. I'm going over and over some arithmancy equations and I can't figure it out. I think my brain just froze and needed some time with nature." She looked around. Nature was beautiful, and restoring. "How about you?" she asked. "Good acoustics for singing? You have a nice voice."
OH CHOCOLATE! Zhenya nodded and took the piece he handed her, "Thanks! I think I needed this!" and ate the delicious chocolate.

Having break from study? He could see that because right now she's just... staring at the scenery without books on. "Good. Too much study makes your brain... cramping." Hehehe. "Also, arithmancy? Ugh..." He The Korean guy rolled his eyes. Wasn't it difficult? He didn't take that lesson because numbers were hardly to be understand. Or maybe he's just dumb for learning about numbers.
Jackson just smiled and blushed when the Slytherin girl said that his voice was nice. "Thank you... I came from performing arts school and I... was a singer." Yeah, was. Past-tense. Maybe it was suitable for him now. When he was in Kirin, he practiced his singing everyday at their studio there. He also always performed at annual Kirin event but not this year. He missed that time, being on stage. Usually he sang around or played the piano at common room to cure his stage-sick. Was that a word? Stage-sick?
The Korean guy took a bite of his chocolate, then suddenly this idea popped on his head. Maybe he should talk about his problem to her. "Can you… keep a secret? " Because she seemed so. "I uh…" Blushed. But then, he saw a butterfly flew around. Jackson was freaked out and tried to hide behind Zhenya’s back (which was such a waste because she was smaller than him).

But it seemed a few minutes late or not, his absence had not gone missed. Sabel watched the kid as he made his way to the bridge. Once there, he rested his forearms over the railing and shot the Hufflepuff a grin. "Easy does it Rehman. You look like you're about to burst something."
Adi shook his wand. It seemed to be a norm for him now to do that whenever a spell went wrong or if nothing happened. Fortunately, he was distracted by none other than Professor Sabel. He had almost forgotten he was to be meeting the man. "Hi, Professor!" Adi returned the grin which then turned into a laugh. "Did I expand like a Puffer fish?" He puffed out his cheeks. Get it? Puffer fish, Hufflepuff? Hehe. Adi thought he was hilarious.
The sixth year pushed the air out of his cheeks, creating a small Whoooosh! "This must be the most complicated spell EVER, Professor.'' Emphasis on the 'ever'. "Any tips on how to make it easier?" Adi would take any advice at this point in time.

Puffer....fish? Sabel couldn't help the laughter that spilled out of him. The head shaking was for either the kid's joke, or his own amusement by it, he couldn't properly tell, but it was there. "Nearly. I fear what state I may have found you in if I had been another minute."
He shook his head again, marveling at the connections that children's minds contrived.
"Well, it does have that reputation for a reason." Why was it every student he encountered thought it would be simple, when they had all acknowledged it was advanced magic. Maybe because he, and a few others, had made it look simple? He wasn't entirely sure.
Letting out a breath, Sabel turned his attention out over the small watercourse beneath them. "Don't really have any advice in that regard, except to say that if it was easy, the results wouldn't be nearly as worth it." A sidelong glance and an arched eyebrow. Too philosophical? Maybe.
"Why don't you show me what you have, and tell me where you think you're struggling."

Zhenya chuckled. "Yeah, I think my brain is pretty cramped right now." But yes, Arithmancy. Zhenya nodded and sighed. Why did she bother taking arithmancy?
Ah... was? "You don't do singing anymore?" she asked, curiously. That was a shame.
Zhenya frowned, concerned, when he asked if she could keep a secret. "Yes, I can. Is everything alright?" Well clearly not... he didn't seem like the secret was gossip, boys didn't usually do that. But then the Gryffindor had a freakout and was hiding behind her. She looked around thinking perhaps it was a person that he was trying to avoid, but there was no one around. Not any teachers. There weren't any werewolves about to attack them, or dementors. "What's wrong Jackson? What is it?" she asked, spinning around to face him.

He just exhaled when she asked if he didn't do singing anymore. "Sort of." He is still singing but not performing it on stage like he used to when he was in Seoul. Not to mention that the deal that he had made between his father if he failed his OWLs. Well, he's optimistic that he's gonna survive the exam but... Hey! He actually made a PROFESSOR laugh! Seeeeee? Adi KNEW he was hilarious. Someone should totally date him! Oh, wait! AJ was already doing that. Back away, girls and Cutty Mordaunt. This funny Puffer was taken already. Hehe.
Adi grinned. "I'll be careful not to explode, then.'' DID Puffer fishes explode though? He didn't know. Buuut onto the seriousness of casting the Patronus Charm. "I guess that makes sense. It would explain why I want to master the charm so badly. The more challenging something is, the more I would want to go after it.'' It was a logical thought, right? "That's true,'' he continued as he mulled over Dakest's words. Gosh, the man had deep thoughts. At least Adi knew whom he could go to now if he ever needs words of wisdom.
Show him what he's done? Okay! He could do that. "Sure, Professor.'' Adi raised his wand, did the wand movement and concentrated on him and AJ right on this Bridge two years ago. "Expecto Patronum!'' Wheeee! A whole load of NOTHING. He looked back at the Defense man. "That's all I've got, Professor.'' During classes he had been better with a wisp or two. "Would it be better if there was a Dementor around, do you think? I think it's because I know I'm not in any real danger and that is why I can't do it.''

Another chuckle came from Sabel. "That would be preferred. Never had to scrape 'child' off a bridge before, and not really interested in having the experience."
So, no exploding students okay? Seemed like a simple enough request.
A sound of acknowledgement left his throat at the boy's explanation of his eagerness. There was a great deal of ambition in his class, which in and of itself wasn't a bad thing but he was beginning to suspect it was part of the reason for all the high emotions that had run during that particular lesson. At least Rehman seemed in a pleasant enough mood today.
Pushing back from the railing, Sabel took a few steps backwards until his lower back was resting against the opposite railing. His arms folded across his chest as he watched the boy's attempt at the charm. For a moment, he considered the empty air before the kid, before turning a soft smile over to meet Rehman's less than pleased demeanour.
"Well, you've got a good start. The memory is strong." And that was where all the magic, persay, started. "It could be that you're more inclined to produce results when there is danger." He shrugged one shoulder, unconcerned. "Some people are like that with their patronuses. It isn't so much on will, as it is on need."
Especially if a great need had never been experienced before.
"Why don't you try casting with the intention not to protect or defend, but simply to enjoy your memory. A physical form of its emotions, if you will."

"Oh," Zhenya started with. That was a shame. Well they didn't have a bit musical program at Hogwarts, which was a pity. "Does that make you upset that you can't sing like you could in your former school?" Zhenya wondered why he moved to Hogwarts if he was such a good musician. It was a shame, obviously Hogwarts had gained a great student, but he wasn't studying what his passion was.
Zhenya couldn't help but widen her eyes at the boy. She didn't know a word of what he had just said, but he didn't say it in a pleasant tone. "Don't you like butterflies?" she asked, having seen him shoo one away. And was he yelling at the butterfly? No, she wouldn't laugh. Though... a butterfly? "Jackson it's okay, did you want us to move away from here? I know there's a butterfly garden around, they're just coming from that. We can move inside where there are no butterflies?"

He wasn't upset with Hogwarts. No, this place was great though it didn't have programs that could explore his talent. "At first, yeah. But I came here to... you know, more focus on study because I kinda failed at most of my wizarding subjects back there. My parents are... kinda strict when it comes to study. Stereotypical Asian parents." The Korean guy exhaled. They let him went to Kirin instead of Hogwarts before because they wanted him to excel both in wizarding lessons and musical talents. It didn't mean that Kirin had bad teachers but... He failed because he couldn't manage his time very good. Back when he was in Kirin, he spent his time more in music and acting class rather than lessons. "Also... in here I sort of.." He slightly blushed.
Thank Merlin that the bloody butterfly had gone far far away from his sight. And of course he knew that there is a butterfly garden, that's why he'd never wanted to be ANYWHERE nearby that bloody place. "I'm fine, Noona." He said. "Don't judge me, I'm phobia of butterflies." Jackson explained to the older student. Yeah, he knew that it was weird but it's real, okay? Even there's a term to refer the phobia of butterflies, lepidopterophobia. "Where was I? Oh..." Remembering what he actually wanted to say, he started blushing again. "I sort of like a certain Hufflepuff girl but... She just thought that we are friends and uh..." He bite his lip. "I think she likes another guy." He couldn't believe that he told Zhenya about this. But hey, this girl seemed not a gossipy person so...
Of course he's talking about Leah Abbot.

Ohhhhhh, that explained it all. "Your parents thought you were too focused on studying music?" she asked. It sounded like that. That was rough. Harsh punishment. "Well how are you going at the moment with lessons? Are you more focused and passing things? If you improve, will they let you transfer back to your other school?" Hopefully she wasn't being too questioning. But would they reward his effort with the music programme?
Hmm... something else going on? She noticed the boy blushing, and restrained herself from asking questions. Obviously something he wanted to say, but she didn't want to force it out.
Butterfly phobic? Zhenya said "Oh, oh well that explains it. Well... I'm really scared of spiders. I hate them, big or small." There, he wasn't the only one with a phobia. Even though butterflies were... well, Zhenya didn't find them scary. Everyone had something to be scared of.
Ahhhh, he has a crush. Zhenya's lips curled into a smile. That was really sweet. Oh, but not the part about her liking another boy. "Have you told her that you like her? Maybe she's just... friends with this other boy?"

Child? "I'm not a child,'' Adi replied with amusement. "Aren't those tiny human beings?" He wasn't tiny to say the least. Hehe. Plus he would be of age in a few months. Wheeee! Cue the emotional sobs from his RPer.
.............
Why was Professor Sabel smiling and looking so calm at his failure? Adi could not understand it. Surely the man didn't like to see his students fail at things. Without realising it, the boy was shaking his wand again. Eh? "A good start? How is that, Professor?" he questioned with a slight frown and a tilt of his head. But Adi did know one thing... the memory he was attached to WAS strong. He could feel it had happened just yesterday rather the over two years ago.
Will? Need? The Puffer was getting confused, yo! But he nodded at the suggestion though he still was a bit puzzled. "I had never thought of Patronuses being a physical form of the emotions.'' But it made sense. ''Alright. I'll try to do that.''
Adi took a DEEEEEEP breath as he raised his wand. He focused on his memory and looked at the exact spot where he and AJ had sat on the bridge in hoped of re-living the memory. "Expecto Patronum!'' Silvery wispy things could be seen coming from the Hippogriff feathered core wand. Wisps, that was all but it was something! "I did it!'' the Puffer exclaimed and bouncing on his feet like a CHILD. "Did you see that, Professor?" He saw, right? RIGHT?
