If you're looking to get from the Courtyard to the rest of the grounds then there's only one way of going about it and that's walking across the rickety old wooden bridge. Not to worry, there are charms in place to ensure the bridge does not collapse from under you but the antique feel of old wood is still present and gives the walk a nice--if not thrilling--atmosphere.
If you happen to peer over the edge, you'll notice a deep precipice-like structure below. It's a far fall to be certain with trees and rocks at the bottom and a rugged cliff face should you decide to climb down there. Unfortunately or perhaps fortunately as the case is, there is nothing down there but said trees and rocks.
Occasionally the wooden floor creaks and if you stand still enough in the right breeze you can almost swear the bridge is moving but that is likely your imagination.

This was something of a tradition now. Every year, he found himself here, on this very bridge, in this very spot, looking and leaning over the edge as far as he possibly could without plunging to his death. Ahem. Death was unfavourable.
It was here that he contemplated what the new school year might have in store for him, and as far as he could tell, it was going to be painful. Third year was scary, SUPER scary... and might very well be the death of him. Why did it seem like reading and homework was going to strangle and suffocate him? Term was only JUST starting, and already he felt so disorganised, like EVERYTHING was going to pile up in the blink of an eye - which was highly likely seeing as he had procrastination issues.

The Wooden Bridge... Adi's absoloute favourite place around Hogwarts. Although it was so ancient, he knew magic kept it from really falling apart. As he walked across it, there were bits of creaking here and there due to his footsteps.
He edged closer to the rail of the bridge and peered over. What a nasty fall it would be should one loose one's footing or something. But still, Adi liked to look at the view from waaaay up here to alllll the way down there. Luckily heights never bothered him.

Most people came to the Wooden Bridge to think or enjoy the view. Normally Hady would come down this way to practice or sometimes study. Study and practice? It was the best place really as it was typically quiet and away from everyone so even if a charm didn't go quite right nothing would happen.
However this wasn't the case today. Like most others she was here to simply clear her head. Walking slowly along the bridge with her head down slightly and her hands in the pocket of her typically still way to large hoodie she wasn't exactly...paying attention. She could see feet up ahead a bit but hadn't a clue as to whom they belonged to until she finally lifted her head up enough. Right before her was Adi...it had been a long long time since she'd seen him outside classes.
"Hey Adi!" She greeted warmly pushing all thoughts of everything else to the back of her mind. Thinking could come later.

Adi was still peering over the edge of the Bridge. The trees and rocks painted a rather eye appealing sight... provided that one did not have a fear of looking down from such a height. Adi wasn't afraid of that for he had actually sat on the Bridge's edge last year with AJ.
So occupied with the view he was that the sixth year did not realise someone else has trudged along the bridge until he heard his name being called. "Heya, Hades!'' Did she mind the nickname? It had just sort of popped out of his big mouth. "I mean Hady. How are you? Come to enjoy the view from up here?'' If she had ever taken a good look at it before and knew about it, that is.

Hades? Interestingly enough she hadn't been called that before nor did she really mind it much. It was different and maybe even suited her a little. Laughing quietly she wandered over to where he was leaning casually against the bridge, semi sideways so her arm rested on the railing, she could see the view if she turned her head a little and was still able to see Adi too.
"Hades is cool, I don't mind it. I'm doing alright so far, not much happening yet around here. How have you been?" Easy simple reply and a question back. At least this greeting went along smoothly. As for being on the bridge today, yeah the view could help. "I guess? Well not exactly really I just needed to do some thinking but this is usually where I end up when I'm by myself and working on a few charms."

Cinna had just finished her run of the day. She had gotten back into dance. As suggested by that Kaycee chick in Diagon Alley over the summer. But the only thing was that when she went to practice her dancing afterwards her legs were so sore.
Running before dancing really helped with her soreness. She was heading back into she castle when her knee buckled from under her. Causing the sixth year to fall and bump right into someone.
"Sorry."

Having searched the entire castle up and down, the enchanted red envelope turned to the grounds in search of its lucky victim (SpiritWolfe Malfoy). Finding her, the envelop plopped itself down on the railing beside her arm.
Wait too long to open it and your nostrils will be filled with a strong smokey smell....and you may have to explain to the new Groundskeeper why his bridge is singed.

Relaxing calming against the railing her gaze shifting from her older friend beside her to the view of the rocks down below and then back she almost missed the howler landing beside her arm.
WHOA!
WAIT!
WHAT?! A howler...why?
She knew what a howler was but she had no clue as to why she would be getting one. Had she done something wrong? Hady didn't think so as she ran over the last few days in her mind. Fidgeting just slightly the small girl picked it up and opened it before she could choose not to do so.

Adi grinned. He was so pleased that Hady didn't mind the nickname. "Did you know Hades is the Greek god of the Underworld?'' he asked, randomly offering a fascinating bit of information to the younger girl.
"I've been good. I'm so much relieved to be back here.'' He had not realised he used the word 'relieved' to describe how much he wanted to be back at Hogwarts. Adi looked away from all the trees and rocks to give Hady his full attention. "Something bothering you?'' he asked curiously. Maybe he could help because you know... he was a helpful Hufflepuff and helping out made him HAPPYYYYY. "I know what you meant though. This Bridge is my favourite place around Hogwarts.'' He fondly patted the rail but was momentarily distracted by the red envelope making its appearance next to Hady's arm and it nearly sent him into a panic. WHAT IF IT WAS HIS MOTHER SENDING HIM A HOWLER?
But, but buuuuut! The envelope was next to Hady... so it had to be for her, right? "Uhhh, Hades? I think someone sent you a Howler." Gosh! Who would be sending her THAT?! O__O "Better open it fast,'' he advised urgently, as his friend reached for the envelope.

Hady grinned a little bit nodding her head. "Uh-huh. It's okay though it's just a nickname so I don't mind if it's related to him or not." Nope not in the least. Plus Greek gods were pretty darn cool in her book.
That's a good thing. She was glad to hear he'd been doing well but what was he 'relieved' about? Did he just enjoy the school that much? Really Hady could understand that because being here made her feel so much more at home lately. "Relieved? Did something happen?" And then he was asking her what was bothering her... Hm.. Well lots? Or well not really but yeah...
"Nothing exactly but everything." Did that even make any sense? She shuffled her feet a moment looking to the rocks and then back. "Just home and then here, pets and lessons now, studying and figuring out what I want to be after school and uh other...stuff..." Yeah there we go. Stuff. Cause stuff covered a lot.
Shifting her attention the howler she had just opened she gave a tiny nod of her head towards Adi keeping any panic from showing on her face. Panic wasn't good, not at all. Then again though neither was a HOWLER! "I um know...I just have no clue as to why..."

FINALLY! The howler was about ready to just burst into flames right there on the spot. Girl was taking FOREVER!
Springing to life, the howlers ribbon tie flicked furiously as it delivered its message from a familiar voice belonging to a certain Gryffindor third year...
"HI HADY, YOU'RE AN AWESOME FRIEND AND THANK YOU FOR COMING ON ADVENTURES WITH ME AND NOT LETTING THE BOUNCING BULBS KILL ME. P.S. I LIKE THE GREEN IN YOUR HAIR."
Message delivered, the howler burst into flames and showered ashes down upon its recipient.
You're welcome.

Woah.
That was freaky. Her knee just kind of bent funny. It was kind of embarrassing. Especially bumping into someone else. She was on the ground which made it even worst. She quickly got back to her feet. "Yeah, my knee just kind of buckled out from under me." She bushed herself off. She fine nothing hurt or was clearly broke. She walked around just to make sure.

As the howler opened completely Hady couldn't help but fidget slightly on the spot. Seriously if she was about to get screamed at couldn't this Howler have found her when she was alone? Chewing on her bottom lip she held her breath as she waited for what she figured would be her getting into trouble for goodness knows what.
Only that didn't happen.
Nope not in trouble. From the very first incredibly loud word of "Hi" coming from the Howler a grin broke out on her face. Of course she knew who it was now! Why a howler though was he trying to frighten her to death cause really incredibly large spiders would've done just as well. Letting out the breath in a relelieved huff she began to laugh as she heard what was being said. Only then the laughter turned into a very light pink tinge to her cheeks as it was finished with a compliment about her hair, causing her to look at her feet a moment. Yeah her feet we're interesting right now...
Her interesting shoes was short lived when she ended up covered in ash! Did it have to burn up just then and get all over her! Brushing the ash from her clothes she tried not to laugh about it...she'd get him back for the scare.

Now that Hady asked, he wasn't going to lie about if even if he disliked burdening his friends with his problems. "It's been happening for a long time,'' he said, looking back down at the rocks and trees. "My mother does not approve of me dating AJ and she gives me a hard time about it.'' He puffed air heavily out of his mouth. The entire situation saddened and frustrated him but he was too stubborn to back down. He still maintained that it was HIS life.
Adi tilted his head. "Do you need a Penseive, Heades?'' he joked. Gosh! What a lot of things were swirling in that head of hers! "What are your options for after Hogwarts?'' He was more than willing to offer advice, having already planned out his future. "What other stuff?'' Very curious he was.
Poor Hades. She looked so panicky. Adi wished he could help calm her but yet there was no need to. He was soon grinning and looked at his friend knowingly. "That's so nice. Zeke?'' He didn't feel he really needed to ask. Zeke and Hady were such great friends. And hey! At least Hades had not been in any trouble.

Cinna knew this one. Well not really. She only knew the younger as one of the triplets. She obviously hadn't met this one. Just AJ she talked to her a few times. "Hi, I'm Cinna."
Giving the younger girl a small smile. She really wasn't sure of what else to say to the girl. After the run and fancy practice she was planning on going to look for Bart so that they could hang out later. So her mind was a bit more focused on that then the present time.

He didn't feel he really needed to ask. Zeke and Hady were such great friends. And hey! At least Hades had not been in any trouble.
"And Amphitrite the sea-goddess." Hady added with a grin. Yup this little third year did know a few things about Greek gods and goddesses. Not much but enough when the topic kept her attention.
Oh now that would very much explain why he liked coming back to the castle so much. Hady was sure if she was in a relationship and her parents didn't approve she'd feel the same exact way. AJ though? Really what was there not to like about her, she was awesome and so sweet. "Really? Is there a reason behind that?" She asked quietly with a small tilt of her head hoping he'd know he could talk to her if he felt like it but also he didn't have to do so either. Hady wasn't one to push anyone into talking.
A Penseive would be great! Sometimes she wished she had one for moments like this when her mind was so crammed up she couldn't think straight. The comment made her laugh and shake her head. "Nah I'm sure I can handle it but I'm thinking about being a magical creatures healer...I was hoping to speak with the school nurse about it a little. Do you know what you're gonna do after Hogwarts?" Since he was older he might already now, right?
"Uh just stuff... confusing stuff?" Yeah way to be clear about things Hady.
Still laughing quietly and brushing bits of ash off her clothes she lifted her eyes to meet Adi's face. "Yeah Zeke." She replied not sure what more to say without saying to much.

Adi grinned. "Quite right! I think.'' Hehe. The boy often got mixed up with that goddess and Aphrodite. Oh, well. Zeus was the best in his opinion so it didn't matter.
Would Hady understand what he was talking about if he told her? He himself could not believed his mom thought... so old fashionedly. "Er, she would rather me date someone like me. Indian,'' he mumbled, looking back at Hady .UGH! What the heck did ethnicity matter? "But on the bright side my dad is cool with it so that sort of makes up for mom's disapproval.'' One day, he was sure he would be able to change the woman's mind about the entire situation but today was not the day.
Adi's eyes lit up with excitement. "Really? AJ wants to be that too!'' Wasn't that so cool? "I didn't know you were so into Magical Creatures, Hades.'' In his opinion, there could be no better area to pursue a career. "After Hogwarts, I want to study Magizoology at University then I want to be a Hippogriff breeder mainly but I want to work with other creatures too. Also, I want to have a career in Potions.'' Adi wanted to invent more potions in the future, yo!
"That was awfully nice of him,'' the Hufflepuff said with a smile. It had been pretty easy to figure out it was the Little Lion Man. "You should have seen the look on your face when you saw the Howler.'' He chuckled. Really though... what was he talking about? He nearly panicked when he thought the Howler was for him for a moment there.

"You think?" Hady questioned unable to keep herself from laughing quietly.
Tilting her head slightly and resting against the railing behind her, a elbow resting on it she looked at Adi as he tried to explain. He seemed rather upset by it and as he told her why she easily understood. "I see...well um maybe she'll come around soon. Has she really taken the time to meet AJ, like really talk to her and such?" She didn't understand why it would matter that AJ wasn't Indian like Adi but she knew to some people it was a VERY big deal. "That's good then that he does."
"Really?!" Hady exclaimed shifting her full complete attention to Adi now. She hadn't known any of this! If AJ wanted to do the same thing as her she'd be perfect to talk to! Hady needed to make a mental note of finding AJ and talking to her about it. "Yeah well I've always liked animals...I have a few but nothing like the magical creatures some have." A Hippogriff breeder? Awesome! "That sounds really cool. I was thinking about focusing on just one animal but I can't." There was just so many to choose only one!
"Yes it was." She nodded her head in agreement. Wrinkling her nose at Adi's comment she shook her head in denial. "Oh really? Well what about you, huh? You were as freaked by it as I was!" Hady quickly broke out into a grin and some laughter as she teased her friend right back. It was really nice to be able to laugh and have some fun with her friends.

Talking about this was upsetting but at the same time it made him feel better. Mostly he had kept everything to himself though AJ did know what was going on. "I know she will but she's just making this difficult.'' Parents! Gosh! Thank Merlin his dad was as cool as he was. Or rather, thank Merlin Adi was as cool as his dad. "Nope, she hasn't. I thought that maybe she could have met AJ at King's Cross but she got me annoyed again so I just got away from her and dad.'' It wasn't exactly his proudest moment but there was only so much nagging he could take. "I'll try again for them to meet though. Hopefully mom would have come around a bit by then.''
"Yep, really!'' Adi was so pleased to find out that Hades was into creatures too. "I'll appoint you my official Healer along with AJ for my Griffs, Hades.'' Hehe. If Hady was up for it, he would do it! Who better to have look after his future Hippogriffs than his girlfriend and friend? "I've just got my toad Gus and the my new pet rock, Pride.'' Yep, that's what he had named the newest addition to the family. "Got any favourite creatures? I hope Griffs are included in there.'' Cue the wink!
Adi laughed heartily. "Very funny! Yeah, I was freaked out. Imgaine a Howler embarrassing you in front of your friends.'' Admittedly, this Puffer would have found the entire situation funny rather than embarrassing. Hehe.
Adi now noticed Hady seemed less lost in thoughts. "So besides your future after Hogwarts, what else is on your mind?'' She did mention other 'stuff' vaguely.

Listening as Adi talked to her she was easily able to tell it was a hard subject for him and was more then willing to change it up and talk about more happier things. "I'm sure she'll come around soon enough, things will work out in the end." They had to really cause Adi was to nice of a guy to not be happy.
"Awesome! First I gotta learn how to do that though," she replied laughing softly as she brushed her hair off her face with the back of her hair. Why couldn't her hair just stay in place? "I have Hagan my kitty, Riddick my owl is home with my parents and so is Aime my snake and uh I also have Elvis the pet rock." Mhmm see Adi she had a Pet Rock too! Favorite creatures? Of course she had one! "Dragons but yes I love Hippogriffs too." What was there not to like about those?
"Exactly! And I was sure I hadn't done anything to be in trouble for so that hadn't helped," Hady told him laughing along with him. Really it had been funny just not in those first few seconds.
And there it was. The semi direct yet somewhat vague question. Why was everyone asking her this? Surely they all had read or at least seen that stupid flier paper thingy. Letting out a soft sigh as she wasn't sure what to think of it still she gave the simple reply of, "The Aparecium," figuring that Adi would know which part she was speaking of.
