The Seating Area Outside Professor Quigley's Office The comfort of this seating area is most likely a result of the Professor's desire to be comfortable even when outside of his office as opposed to a genuine concern for the comfort of his students. That doesn't matter, the place has been made comfortable regardless so you might as well enjoy it while you wait for the Professor to be available. OOC: You MUST post here then wait to be invited inside before posting inside the Professor's office. |
She was here. On business. With her school bag slung over her shoulder, Sophie Brown made her way to the office she was all too familiar with, but she had only visited it once at the very beginning of the last term to formally introduce herself to the current Charms professor. She missed the office from before this man's reign, and it just felt WEIRD standing before the door now, but... it was okay, because Quigley was super cool. His seating area was way better than Fuller's had been, though, and she examined it all with interest before finally raising a fist and knocking a few times on the door before her. "It's Sophie Brown," she announced to the door, just in case that would encourage (or discourage) him to open the door. Either way, she wanted him to know what he was getting himself into with her arrival today. And she waited. |

He supposed he could have the students....wait no...no that wouldn't work--but what if he--no...no, that was vastly uncertain and he didn't have that level of confidence in his students as yet. Maddox leaned over his desk, crossing out idea after idea on the parchment before him. There must have been a way to get the information across in such a way that it would stick...without giant spiders descending. As...interesting as that had been, a few of the students had gotten awfully loud and his ears could do without that. The Charms Professor tapped his quill lightly against the parchment but this time his thoughts broke mid-way at the sudden knock at the door. He might have grumbled but the student did him a favour announcing who it was; he wouldn't have to leave his desk! "It's open." The man called, grabbing his wand to unlock the door from where he stood. Sophie Brown? This early in the term? Sweet Merlin, tell him she had an apple. OOC: You can post inside now ^^ |
Just so you know, Zander had actually been thinking about skipping out on this particular office visit. He'd just say he never found the time 'cause Professor Q never said it was mandatory. Only that Zander need show up when he had the time. So really, maybe Zander Adair just didn't have the time. Though, erm, that didn't really sound all that convincing did it? So going against every fiber of his very being, the very nervous Gryffindor made his way to the man's office, pacing around the seating area for a few moments before he'd go and knock the door. Merlin. He should've brought some apples along, huh? That would make this a lot easier. You know, get the man all happy before he went ahead and did whatever it was that he was planning on doing to the Prefect. That was the question of the day, wasn't it? What was Professor Quigley so keen on talking to Zander about? Or well, it was Zander's question of the day. Actually, no, Zander had lots of questions always. But this was a very important one. WHAT DID QUIGLEY WANT WITH HIM????? Ahem. He was COOL. Calm. Collected. La la la. Zander was chiiiiiill. Taking a few steps towards the door, he went to knock and WAIT. How many knocks was just enough knocks? Two? Three? Erm. Zander settled for two, deciding that one was too little, but three might be over board. Anything to not get yelled at. Zander was only trying his very best, sir! He went ahead and knocked ONE, TWO and then took a step back. Totally cool. He was SO cool. Absolutely BEYOND cool. This was great. Professor Q just wanted to invite Zander over for a nice chat. Like a chill session. Maybe they'd share stories about their summers. Enjoy some biscuits. Really get to know each other. Just a couple of bros doing what bros did. If only. |
Let's pretend for a second that I don't suck >.< Quote:
Only reason he did give a lazy stretch in the end and hop up was he was expecting Mister Adair any day now. The longer the boy waited was the worse it would be for him and the man trusted he knew that. With a final lazy swish of his tail the man stretched back into the form of a man and pulled the door open. "There you are Mister Adair." He quipped, rubbing his hand across his face to dispel the last of his sleepiness. "Why don't you come in?" Not so much a question as a directive while he stepped out of the way. OOC: Come riiiight in <3 |
Charms HW #1 He had to admit, the Charms assignment was brilliant. In addition to this, HE was also brilliant. The reason for this line of thought was simple. How could Professor Quigley miss his bright red furniture outside his office? See, if Zeke Rogers was going to leave a mark, he was going to leave one that would not be missed, and just shy of turning the Professor's robes red, this was pretty much the next best thing. Right? Strutting down the third floor corridor, Zeke ended up at Professor Quigley's seating area... and he was alone. Excellent. He didn't wait to see if anyone would stop by, and he didn't want to linger too long to be caught in the act. Instead, Zeke produced his wand from his holster and held it between his fingers. This would be brilliant. Brilliant RED. "Colovaria!" he stated clearly, his intentions to turn the off-white fabric a delicious shade of Gryffindor Red. The point of his wand was trained on the nearest armchair, and as soon as he had uttered the incantation, a brilliant red spread before his eyes. Already it was looking far nicer. Of course, he couldn't simply stop at ONE, that wouldn't have the effect he was hoping for. So pointing his wand at the next chair, he repeated the charm. "Colovaria." And so it too was red. If you'd have asked him of his plans yesterday before this brainwave had hit him, then this would have been enough for one location, but he really wasn't done yet, and though he was showing off a little... it would be worth it. With is wand pointing at the ottoman, Zeke repeated his earlier work, casting the colour changing charm at it. "Colovaria." Red was such a lovely colour. He was sure Professor Quigley would appreciate it. After re-holstering his wand, Zeke pulled another item out, this time from his bag. An apply, a shiny, green apple. Oh how nicely it contrasted with the brilliant red. Zeke left it on the chair closest to the office door, and after a quick knock... he ran off, stealing away behind a corner. He still had more work to do. |
