| | |  The Corner Room
Beside the Restricted section a new room magically appeared a few years ago. Mr Kitridge stumbled over it when he was following a trail of rat and bat droppings. The empty room was then furnished with bookshelves, a few comfy sofas, reading lamps, side tables and a few plants. On the shelves you can find books, pamphlets and magazines about any and all magical careers/professions known to exist in the magical world today. Each year the pamphlets, books and magazines get stocked with new and updated information. New for term 40 is that Mr Kitridge has also added a collection of writing desks complete with all neccessary writing material and folders to inspire creative writing.
Come in, grab a magazine or a book and dream about what you want to work with when you graduate from Hogwarts or maybe even start on that short story you always wanted to write.

Scanning her eyes down the length of the page gave Hady the information she may have needed. The book currently on her lap probably wouldn't be of much help. Closing it and setting it aside Hady picked up the next book in her pile and set it on her lap before looking over at Lux realizing she hadn't disturbed her and she was being spoken to. "Trying to find some information on becoming a Healer for magical creatures," she replied with a light grin.
The information she could find by herself the better. That way she could check it all out in her own time and truly decide if this was for her even if she knew already in her heart that is was. There was nothing wrong with getting as much about a subject as one could. |

Ever since Noel had discovered the corner room, he had absolutely loved it. Not because he could easily sink into those comfy sofas with a good book, but because he could sink into those comfy sofas and take a nap. Oh yes. The OWLs were a pain in a not so decent region and finding a sofa so near in the library is all he needed after he had drained himself from preparing for them.
It was one of those late afternoons, he had exhausted himself trying to memorize ancient dates and was so in need of a nap. Picking up his book, the sixteen year old made his way to the corner room and plopped down on one of the sofas. Ah sweet comfort.
And yes he had noticed the new writing tables Mr Kitridge had set up but no, he was not looking at them. Nope. Not even thinking about writing.

Leah stood in the doorway, not daring to believe that she had only just discovered it. But then, she was never in the library before her OWLs preparation so naturally she had not imagined that a pretty room like this existed in such a boring place.
Her Charms textbook still in hand, she looked around and immediately spotted the Hufflepuff beeest friend. "Noel!" she said, not caring to lower her voice as she plopped down on the squishy sofa next to him. "Whaaat's up??" she smiled.

When she so nicely sat down next to him, Noel relaxed and rested his head back on the sofa. "Well ... I was about to dream about goblin revolution but you woke me up," he half smiled, and closed his book. Cause no studying was happening now that Leah was here. "What's up with you? Looong time no see" he commented, turning his body toward her direction. Of course he had seen her but they had seen seen each other you know? Even though they shared the same common room and passed each other everyday, they hadn't hung out in a while.

Her Charms textbook left forgotten on her laps, she smiled at her fellow Fifth Year. "I've been good, just been preparing for OWLs and such. We should hang out more often." She stated. They saw each other everyday but rarely had a chance to chat.

"Oh, cool. So you are seriously considering doing that? Or is it just a maybe?" It all depended on how passionate a person was about something, because it wasn't good to be stuck doing a job you hated for years on end. People should do what they love. "I bet Professor Thompson would have a lot to say on the matter." The man was very learned when it came to creatures, and he was definitely good at his job. Working with animals sounded like a really cool career. | |

Hady gave her older friend a smile. "It's what I want to do," she answered softly. The thought was stuck in her head during her first year when she'd asked Zeke if he knew what he wanted to do after school. His reply that he didn't know yet had gotten her thinking about her own career. With some honest true thought it wasn't all that hard for her to come to decide on a Magical Creatures Healer. Animals were her thing and so was helping others. It fit.
And then Lux mentioned Professor Thompson. Hady couldn't help but give a soft laugh. Lux hadn't been the only one to mention the man. "I was planning on going to speak with him after I checked through a few books first. I'm sure there's a great deal he could help me with. How about you, are you still wanting to make potions?" | |

So he had been joking or teasing, just wanting to know what was up with her. But now it seemed it wasn't just a joke. Brows pulling up, Noel slowly nodded, "I think I can, what's up?" Did Henric propose or something? Oh that guy had a huge crush on her, right? But why was this a secret?
