| | The Charms Annexe __________________________ The Charms Annexe is a converted space on the third floor housed in one of the small towers. It is a round tower room which opens onto the Charms Corridor and stands opposite one of the smaller stairwells that leads up to the fourth floor.
With wide window sills, big enough to sit in, it is the perfect space to curl up with a textbook and study your charms. The round room itself is mostly empty, and has been set aside for practice purposes. Students are permitted to practice any charm they have learned in class during the term or from the Professor or an approved tutor. Duelling and fighting are NOT permitted in this space.
To the sides are shelves of books that contain information on charms for varying skill levels in the event you might like to try something new on your own. The only other thing in the room is a large chest towards the top left corner which contains any items that may be needed for charming purposes. The chest itself is locked, but can be opened with simple unlocking spells.
On the wall facing the door is a board that will occasionally have challenges on it for you to try your hand at while you work towards getting better as well as the names of those who've mastered previous challenges. They aren't a must but they could prove beneficial. Quote:

Don't let him have to come over and break up the party. Feel free to have your charries stop by for a little extra charms work guys. If you need the Professor's help just title the post as such and I'll have him swing by ^^ |

Surely not. And it would be quite amusing if the man himself were to open the golden box with white question marks on it placed riiiiiiiiiiight smack dab in the middle of the circular space.
TADA! Now to scamper off so as not to be seen!
Flamsteed out.

Flamsteed out. The charms annexe was a fantastic place for studying charms. Charms textbook in hand, Penelope headed over to one of the large windowsills. Sitting down, she opened her textbook and started to read.
Peering over the top of her charms textbook, she noticed a box in the middle of the room. Had that been there when she got here? It must have been put there by Professor Flamsteed or someone in her astronomy class.
Should she on the box? Was the person who left the box still around here? Penelope put her book down and went over to the box. Very carefully opening the lid she looked in the box.

The moment light seeped into the box, the firecracker red envelope shot out and straight for the Ravenclaw's face. It did not, however, smack into her or anything and instead settled for swirling around her head a few times before dropping itself into her hands.
OPEN IT! OPEN IT! OPEN IT!

OPEN IT! OPEN IT! OPEN IT! Was there anything in the box? Something shot out at her face, and Penelope stepped away from the box in surprise. Definitely a Flamsteed box. The thing that had come out of the A HOWLER! Why did it have to be a howler? It was flying around her head! She hated when things did that. At least it hadn't smacked into her face. When it landed in her hands, she opened it. Howlers were better off opened than unopened. Hopefully this one would only have good things to say.

Unfolding, the Howler took no time at all to deliver it's message in the voice that could only belong to one person, Professor Flamsteed. "STELLAR JOB! ONLY THE CURIOUS HAVE SOMETHING TO FIND AND YOU HAVE JUST FOUND YOURSELF 5 HOUSE POINTS! CONTINUE TO FUEL THAT CURIOSITY OF YOURS AND FOLLOW THE EXAMPLE OF ALL GREAT EXPLORERS BEFORE YOU. AS ALBERT EINSTEIN ONCE SAID, 'I AM ONLY PASSIONATELY CURIOUS' AND THIS IS A STELLAR THING TO BE!"
Message delivered, the Howler torn itself into pieces that rained down upon the Ravenclaw.

Message delivered, the Howler torn itself into pieces that rained down upon the Ravenclaw. Professor Flamsteed, that was definitely Professor Flamsteed's voice. She had been kind of worried about opening the howler, but the message was actually very inspirational. Only the curious have something to find. That one was going in the front of her questions notebook. Five house points. House points were good, but unnecessary to fuel her curiosity. It was stellar to be passionately curious! Penelope smiled. She was proud to be a Ravenclaw, and she was always curious about everything. Albert Einstein, she would have to find a book about Albert Einstein. If the library didn't have a book on Albert Einstein she could ask her dad to send her one. Penelope pulled her questions notebook and quill out of her pocket. She opened the notebook to the first page and wrote 'Only the curious have something to find' and 'I am only passionately curious.' On another page she wrote 'How do howlers work?' Maybe she should get a bunch of howlers to experiment on. After vanishing the pieces of howler that had fallen on the floor, Penelope got her charms textbook and sat on the windowsill again to read. It would be really cool to make posters with inspirational quotes on them and put them around the school. Were they allowed to put up posters anywhere? She would have to see what art supplies they had in the art nook in the common room.
