As you explore and look for your items you might want to be careful of what lurks in the shadows. Many eyes are upon you and their many legs are moving quickly making splashing and scratching noises to keep a good watch on you. The sound of your footsteps are making them eager, but they will wait in the shadows for now.

Nessa looked up as she felt Cassie's hand on her arm and she nodded at her words. It seemed that perhaps Cassie was concerned about the items for whatever reason and she didn't want to startle the children so she simply smiled as she picked up the robe remnants from the ground and carefully pulled the shoe from the web.

Oh sweet Merlin. Nessa had begun to start looking for another basilisk fang when she heard a blood curdling scream, nearly giving her a heart attack. Spinning around, her eyes quickly assessed the situation, seeing Benjamin on the ground but he appeared to be unhurt. "Is everyone alright?" She wasn't sure what the scream as about, but it was not such a good idea with everyone's nerves already on edge down here. She allowed Cassie to handle that, then looked around on the ground some more, sticking close to the students.

"Is that three now?" She had heard another student claim to have found another fang and just in time. She as sure she heard something and her skin was beginning to crawl. Nessa as not sure that it was her imagination either. "I think we should start heading out now.."

His eyes met Bev's for a second... whaaa? Was that an actual SMILE coming from BEVERLY WAYNE? NO WAY! Adi was in shock, yo! What a fine time to give him that smile, Wayne. Mhmmm. “You look weird smiling at me like that,’’ he kidded then got serious again. “I will.’’ Yep, his friends came first and always will.

The Puffer grinned at Zhenya and Professor Cassie. "Thanks. Just found it by luck I guess.'' But then Adi shook his head at Toby. "It looks more recent. Not faded and frayed or anything.'' It was really puzzling. Just then Kate mentioned... a shoe in a web? Adi frowned. There HAD to have been persons down there recently. "I got one, Professor,'' he said to Glendower not realising she had been late in joining them. "Let's just find two more and get out of here, guys.''

Oh, hahaha! OF COURSE AJ wanted to touch the fang. “Sure, AJ. Here.’’ The basilisk fang was held out for the girlfriend to take. “Careful with the point of it.’’ He couldn’t help it, okay? He remembered his promise but he would always be looking out for her. Before he could answer her musing to the missing persons, two things happened at once. One, Angel let out a scream like a banshee. Adi winced. What was that girl trying to do? Wake up the Chamber’s creatures? She got a quizzical look before he turned his attention to Benny, who was the source of the second thing. “Dragon! You alright?” Concerned bestie here. "Didn't you take the Antillergen Potion?'' Fortunately, Benny seemed to be, however. “Is it another fang? Kate found one too!’’ If Benny found another, this meant they could get out of there. “Be right back.’’ Adi’s eyes had caught Toby right about then. “You okay, Toby?’’ He wasn't having a heart attack, right?!

So many things seemed to be happening all at once, which made Zhenya quite overwhelmed. Screams, shocks, sneezes... shoes and robes, and fangs. She nodded at Benny, seeing he was okay. Where should she be focusing? On the ground? Towards all the... all the webs? At the students and Professors? Or...

In the shadows?

Zhenya could hear something. Professor Glendower suggested they start heading out now, seeing as they had their three fangs. "I couldn't agree with you more, Professor," Zhenya said to Professor Glendower, who had suggested they start heading out. Something... something was in there with them, Zhenya was sure of it. She didn't feel comforted by that thought either. And what had Benny found? Zhenya heard Adi ask him, and then head off towards Toby. Another fang? Or... some more clothing? Not... not anything else, hopefully.

Beverly gripped her wand tight as Benny sneezed and tumbled, trying not to give away the startled jump she gave. For Merlin's sake. If there was something down here it was sure to find them now. It echoed. The yelling did the same, making Beverly jump for the second time.

Someone was looking to get hexed. Who wants to get hexed? HMMM???

Rolling her eyes at the Gryffindor girl, Beverly nodded at Zhenya. "Thank you." Now shhh. The hairs at the back of her neck raised. Her gut was telling her leave. Self-preservation was striking.

"That's three," she said, rubbing her free hand over her wand arm as goosebumps rose up her skin. "Yes. We should go. Now. We should go." She was calm. She was cool.

What was that noise?

She was NOT hearing things, she wasn't. If she wasn't so focused on the strange sounds and on the exit, she would have thumped Adi on his arm, instead she gripped his sleeve. "Don't go too far...There's something out there."

There was.

She wanted out. Now.

Hearing Kate she got excited and went over to look, "Very good this one is cracked a bit more then the first, but still can be used." This was good, they were almost done. Yes, they were going to do this without any troubles. Though her eyes went to the shadows, she knew they were there she could sense them. She wondered if they sensed her? "I can just pick it up." She reached down and grabbed it, no need to be afraid she figured.

Someone else had found something too? She looked towards Benny just as she heard Professor Glendower say about leaving. "Is it a tooth Benny?" She wasn't sure in the dark and not close enough to get a good look.

Picking up her pace she moved towards her students and reaching out grabbing Toby's arm she pushed him away, "Toby watch" Was all she said before her wand went down closer to the ground. She sensed the action and reacted. "Yes, I agree with Professor Glendower it is time that we leave and leave quickly. It isn't safe down here, so please let's all move as quickly to the exit as possible. It is going to bring you to the Blake Lake. I do not want any of you wasting anytime. Stay with the group and quickly head to Professor Glendowers Wizarding Suite. We will work on the rest there."

She turned to be the leader of the group and headed towards the exit and out.

Zhenya could sense that Professor Cassie was just as freaked out as the rest of them. That was comforting, in a way, because it meant that they weren't all just freaking out over nothing. There was something.

She was super glad when Professor Cassie suggested they all leave, now, and head back through to the Black Lake and up to the castle, to the dance room. Zhenya stuck close to everyone else, of course, and rushed out with them towards the exit.

Angel wasn't scared of no creature, no sir she wasn't scared of a little spider if that was what was down here, she would just talk to it an ask it politely to leave the place and then she would see what happened.

Angel decided though it wasn't worth getting into trouble staying down here so when the Professor told them to leave she followed them out of the chamber even though she had really wanted to see if it was spiders down here.

"Yeah, I'm fine.. I'm fine." All good. Still alive and kicking. No need to worry. Toby stood there a moment longer, waiting for his heart rate to come back to a more acceptable level for a human. He didn't notice anything else untoward, of course, being Mr. Unobservant, but there was no way he could have missed the professor grabbing his arm.

"Wha-...?" Toby simply blinked and went where he was pushed, before trying to look at whatever Professor Cassie was looking it.

Okaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy. Now all Toby could think of was just... great big giant spiders, lurking in the dark, maybe even spiders the size of his WHOLE HAND. But at least he couldn't see anything of the sort. He tried to remind himself that it was likely just his imagination, and to think of HAPPIER things, like puppies, but when the professors both agreed that it was time to move out of here, Toby wasted NO time at all in going right along with the group to the passage that led out of here.

It would be her sister down here screaming like she had no sense. Way to point out exactly where they were. Not to mention that AJ was pretty sure she heard scratching or splashing. Maybe it was just one of the other students though. Who could really be sure? Of course it would be pretty cool if something did come out...

As Adi held out the fang, AJ reached over and touched it. "Wicked." Too bad she hadn't found any yet. She was just about to go off on her own when two other people spoke up about finding one. Aw man. Things were starting to get interesting too.

Too bad.

She really didn't want to leave this place. AJ kind of drug her feet because she definitely didn't want to be one of the first ones out of here. It was really cool.

Poor Bevvy. "I'm right here.'' Adi patted her arm reassuringly. She had heard something? He craned his head, trying to catch the sound. "Is it those scratching sounds?'' Yeah, he had heard it too. He involuntarily shuddered. The Chamber's creatures were awakeeee and it was all Angel's fault! Well, she had screamed and that's what woke them up, so he thought anyway.

Aha! So Benny had found a tooth indeed and Toby was fine! AWESOMEEE! Now they could get the heck out of here! The Hufflepuff tugged on Beverly's arm, looked around for Benny and Zhenya and made sure AJ was close by. Why was she taking that long to walk? Never the less, he followed her and the ones in front of him out of the Chamber.

Benny his hand on the item when he registered the scurring and the splashing and froze in place, crouched close to the floor. What was that? And why did he get the feeling they needed to leave without anymore fangs? Gathering his wits, he pulled the item quickly from its former home revealing the truth as he scrabbled back up to his feet. They had the three they needed!

So they could leave...right?

"I'm fine....I did take it," he defended himself to Adi at his question. Was it his fault that there was a ton of stuff for it fight against and keep him from sneezing all the time? Benny didn't wait for Adi to come back to him from Toby, the sixth year moving back to the main group himself. Hearing Professor Glendower's question on the fangs, he held up his. "I think that's three."

Professor Morgan in turn didn't have to ask them twice to leave, Benny agreed with the plan. An escape to the lake followed by a trek to a safer part of the castle sounded good to him at the moment. He looked around to spot first Angel...then AJ ...and finally Adi to make sure they were all around as they started to move.

Exit stage right...or whereever they were heading, the Gryffindor following the group with the fang carefully in his robe pocket.

They were leaving. GOOD.

Clutching onto Adi's arm, she followed the rest out. She wasn't scared. Just a bit freaked out. What with last term's incident involving Greg, Beverly wasn't so sure anyone was guaranteed here. Especially with this being the Chamber of Secrets and she didn't much like places with no windows. It also raised an alarm in her head when her gut was telling to get a move on.

Why did she come here again?

She'll ask herself that once they were out and safe. Yes. Let's goooo.

Kate's stomach did somersaults as she thought about what could be hiding in the Chamber. Whatever it was, she wanted to get out and far, far away before it had a chance to come out of hiding. If she could help it, she never wanted to step foot in this place again. Maybe it was just her age. She didn't know. Either way, Kate didn't waste any time bee-lining for the exit and getting out of there.

A moment later, she was out, at the Black Lake, and headed toward the Wizarding Suite.
