If you know the password, or where the entrance is from the Secret Passage you can make your way through a portal in the stone wall of the dungeon and walk into the Slytherin common room:
The ceiling is low and the walls are made of stone, and even though they seem dank and cold, the room tends to stay a very comfortable temperature. There are greenish lamps by black leather couches and chairs, with skulls all around. Scattered around the room are very comfy green bean bag chairs. Once you get in them you just might think you've been attacked by Devil's Snare as you find that the bean bags are almost impossible to get out of. With the common room being located under the lake, you can occasionally see mermaids, grindylows and the giant squid swim by when you look out the windows. A rug covers the floor in front of the fireplace that has a hunter green fire burning in it. The Slytherin emblem is everywhere, as house pride is one of Slytherin's strong qualities. It reminds students of what being a Slytherin means and allows them to share those feelings with others.
This is where Slytherin students are allowed to unwind, study and chat with one another. There is a room straight ahead that students may use as a quiet place to study and ask prefects and high scoring students questions. To the left, a corridor that leads to the Boys Dorms, and to the right a corridor that leads to the Girls Dorms. Beside each corridor is self inking quill and parchment with the words Attendo Thea Vipera on it. This is where you can leave a little information about yourself so your housemates can get to know you better.
On the side of the fireplace is a Notice Board for class and homework announcements, as well as general announcements. The Roster is also there for Students to make sure their name is listed and spelled correctly. Placed around the room there are four different Wizard Chess game boards. Find a partner and see who can keep their pieces from getting smashed by the opposing team.
A podium stands to the side with a copy of Hogwarts a History, which is where you will learn that even though the whole dungeon had once been flooded, nothing was waterlogged or permanently damaged.
Continuing the motion of scratching the cats ears she lightly leaned against one ofthe other chairs rather then sit. It didn't appear as if he wanted any company and especially not when she had her cat with her.
Upon hearing his name she gave a small nod of her head. She knew that from classes but she'd never really spoken to him which was a bit messed up really being as the were in the same house. "Nice to officially meet you Dalton, sorry again if we bothered you we'll leave you alone now so you can finish reading." Hady gave a gestured towards the comic with her head to show she noticed it and didn't want to remain in his way before turning away to return to where she'd been sat earlier.
She wasn't one to push conversation on anyone. If he felt like talking she'd be around.
"Yeah."
As in, 'yeah I guess it's nice to officially meet you, too'. As in, 'what does officially meet even mean?'. As in, 'Crikey, I really need to get better at this people thing'. Dalton offered Hady another nod as he spoke, but she was still talking and now...
Merlin, this was awkward. Almost as awkward as the fact he was now thinking 'merlin' - what on Earth was this place turning him into? His mental answer of 'a wizard' just annoyed him even further. Poor Hady, the boy wasn't scowling at her, but in all honesty it wouldn't have been surprising. The second year leant back in his chair slightly, frowning as she walked away from him, before discarding the comic onto the table and forcing himself up.
What had gotten into him? "Hady?" he called, as he followed her to where she'd returned to sit. "I'm -" Inappropriate swears rolled around his head, but he forced them away. "- sorry, I just... Don't really talk to people much."
Which was his way of saying, "sorry for being awkward and rude and making you feel uncomfortable". She got that, didn't she?

"Yeah."

Which was his way of saying, "sorry for being awkward and rude and making you feel uncomfortable". She got that, didn't she?
The one word answer didn't help make her anymore comfortable and it didn't appear to be helping him much either. The scowl on his face now as well only served in making Hady consider that she'd angered him more then she'd thought. Yes, he might have said it was 'cool' and such but really his attitude shown otherwise.
As she returned to her seat she thought about the fact that maybe Dalton could just be having a bad day and decided to brush it off for the time being. At least that was until she'd heard her name being called. "Yeah?," she asked with a glance over her shoulder to see that he'd gotten up and was following her. When he apologized about his behavior she turned completely around to face him. "Oh, well it's alright really. You don't have to apologize to me about it. Everyone's different when it comes to socializing so yeah it's cool." She gave him a light playful smirk hoping he'd see she really was fine with it. "However though if you ever happen to find you don't feel like being alone or something I'm always around and...you don't even have to talk."
Cause well talking isn't always needed when being around others. Sometimes it was just not being alone that was nice.

Okay, so she seemed to be taking the apology alright, which was good, right? Extending this effort thing to people wasn't something Dalton had planned on, but even he had to admit that he'd felt kind of bad for the way he'd come across. What was this? Growing up or something?
He groaned internally.
"Sweet." He managed a small smile in return to her smirk, which was playful - right? He wasn't misinterprettig that wrong or anything. Leaning slightly against the chair nearest to him, in an 'okay I will try and be polite and nice and socialise' kind of way, he nodded his head to indicated the cat. "How long have you had... him?" Wild guess there, but it was more polite than saying 'it'.

Settling down into the beanbag chair Hady placed Hagan on her lap smoothing his fur gently so that he remained asleep. Leaning her head back in such a way she was able to rest it on the beanbag chair comfortable as well as be able to look up at Dalton without to much trouble.
She wasn't expecting the small even if it was just a small one. It was something! A step in the right direction she supposed. And now he was even trying to continue talking with her...that was nice. "He's a boy yes, his names Hagan. I got him right before I came here in my first year. Do you have any pets...here or at home?" Maybe he didn't like cats but liked dogs or snakes or something. One could never really know for sure unless they asked.
Somewhere nearby someone must have been flipping their hair, right? This was, after all, the Slytherin common room, so it wasn't entirely strange.
The sixth year paid no attention to newcomers, and kept on pretending to be deep in thought, until he couldn't no more for he was interrupted. At least he didn't mind the interruption, he welcomed it, even. Only because it was Agatha and she was alright, although her curiosity caught him off guard. "Him." He said, eyes on Miss Hapgood. "I don't know, he's usually not this restless. Maybe he wants to be outside or senses something is off...," then his gaze focused on the cat the fellow Slytherin was holding, "...is that yours?" The poor thing truly looked like it wanted to get away, an image quite contrary to the one he sees when his sister hangs out with her own cat.
Perhaps Agatha took it from someone, but that would make no sense whatsoever, she wouldn't deal with someone else's pet no matter what. Actually, besides horses, he didn't know if she liked animals or not. Assuming she even likes horses to begin with.
Him. A male snake. "How do you know it's a 'him'?" How did anyone know anything about snakes anyway? Agatha didn't know since that wasn't something they learned in Care of Magical Creatures and even if it were, she would probably still not know.
"Let him outside, then." Said the hypocrite holding her cat s firmly as she could. "Nothing's 'off' in here, so maybe you should keep him in." Agatha Hapgood made no sense. No. She did, actually. "This school is mad enough to have weird things happening all day long around the Castle, so I'm sure it's better to keep them here." She finished with a firm nod, petting her cat who was sort of almost giving up on trying to scape. "Yes, she's mine. Her name's Lady and I've had her for five years now." And Lady loved her, obviously. "She's my favourite pet." Agatha added solemnly. No wonder, being her other pet Chess, the insane raven. The sixth year would not bring that up, though, in case Oleander didn't know Chess was hers.
The Common Room was a better place without Chess.

Every important mission, and her little scoundrels of housemates better appreciate or she'd hexed these fangs right off them. Entering the Slytherin common room in a brisk pace, and with a firm look on her face, Beverly dropped her bag on the leather sofa she had claimed as hers.
"You and you!" she told a young girl and boy from her house. "Go get everyone from our respective dorms, please." She was being nice. She said please.
While those two went to fetch their housemates, Beverly took a deep breath and spoke loud and clear for all in the vicinity to hear her. She was only saying this once. "Listen you lot." She paused, giving them time to turn in her direction. "As you all know there are sketchy things going around the castle with the cobwebs and spider business. So with the help of Professor Morgan and Professor Glendower, I've made these Basilisk fang necklaces for you guys." Where they listening? She wasn't going to give one to whomever wasn't. "They are to repel spiders away from you and hopefully keep you safe. Come and get one and wear them at all times." You dimwits.
But not really. Her housemates (besides her closest friends) were the first lot she thought of handing these out to, and if that didn't express care and responsibility of some form they could go down to the Chamber of Secrets and good luck to you, sir.
