Home, she was finally home... Like she totally loved her family and everything but This house.. this family, she fit right in. Moving towards the couch she sat down and watched the lake dance across the walls. This was what it was like to relax. Looking around she waited for the other house mates to join her, it would be good to have a conversation right now.

Stepping through the entrance to the common room only one thought came to mind...This was nice. It was where she belonged and she knew it long before her first year even at the castle. Now at the start of her third year the excitement was still there for her. One never knew what to expect each day when they were here and Hady enjoyed that.

Walking through the room on her way to the dorms she stopped when she spotted Echo. They hadn't had much of a chance to talk last term and now here the younger one was sitting there alone. No better time to make a friend right?

"Hey! Happy to be back?" Hady greeted her fellow housemate as she pulled up a beanbag chair and sat herself down on it tucking her legs under herself. Now see this was nice, a comfy chair, a friendly face and the lake outside the window.

Stella followed a few people wearing green robes down to the dungeons. She couldn't stand another moment in that huge crowd. She'd sat at the very end of the Slytherin table and sang under her breath, but she still couldn't block out all the emotions of the other students.

Leaning back and slouching a bit on her beanbag Hady lifted her gave upwards to see the younger girl that had just entered. A first year. She remembered her vaguely from the feast but couldn't recall a name at all. Mostly due to her having not been paying attention honestly.

Anyhow that was short lived when the girl headed their way and sat down introducing herself. "Welcome to the home of the Snakes Stella, I'm Hady a third year." Totally a third year now even if she was smaller then most first years still. Not that it mattered since she was very much used to being tiny. "Nope not at all. The common room is for all of us, you don't have to ask." That was the good thing about this room. Common ground for all the years. Now for the people that was a good question, she could get how uncomfortable that could be. "Usually no. The starting feast is always like that because we get to see new housemates and older friends...plus the feast. Other meals isn't so bad especially if you get down there a bit early."

"Hey Hady... im so happy to be back. How about you?" she asked her fellow snakette. Adjusting in her hair she was happy to see that more people were starting to come into the common room.

Ohhhhhh a first year.... oh that was her last year... it has already seemed like shes been at hogwarts for like forever. "Hi Stella, Im Echo, second year..." she beamed at the girl while looking from both of them since they were all having a good conversation over here. "Come on over, we dont bite" she winked at Stella. he he he, Echo you Sassy Pants you... Before she could answer the rest of the question Stella asked, Hady finished it for her.

"Hady is totally right Stella, most of the time the older students are so crazy busy with their tests and stuff they just run to the hall to shove food in their faces" she made a face at that, poor older students with OWLS and NEWTS... last year she had seen some craziness with students totally stressing out over those tests... she hoped when her time comes she wont be like that.. "but we can go for breakfast in the morning together if you'd like" YAY!!!! more friends!!! Echo was getting way to excited now. Plus they were girls around her age and in her House.... BFF's anyone???

"I'm glad to be back here it just feels more homely to me, I like having people around even if I'm not talking to them." Hady answered with a small grin. Sometimes having tons of people was nice, just all the noise and commotion going on around her was something she needed. Plus there was ALWAYS something to do around here.

Having answered Stella's questions the best she could the third year snuggled down into her beanbag chair mindlessly twirling the lock of green hair around her finger. As Echo spoke up her gaze swept from Stella to her and she laughed softly nodding her head in agreement. "Yeah the older years get really crazy about their tests, hopefully I don't get anything like that." Knowing her though she would since she always pushed herself as hard as she could. Breakfast? Hm. Well... "I'm generally around...like everywhere. So if you ever need help or something or just wanna hangout find me anytime. You too Echo, I don't mind at all." Typically she was easy to find.

"I know what you mean Hady" she winked, everyone that she had talked to about this, confirmed that everyone felt like Hogwarts was their home. Thats how awesome this place was. Hady gave a firm nod when she got Echo's agreement. She had yet to come across anyone that told her they didn't like coming here. For if that day ever did happen she would be very surprised...really what was there not to like? Except well maybe what happened last year with their one house mate and such but yeah she wasn't getting into that. At the mention of her hair she smiled at the younger girl. "Thanks. I was actually kind of surprised my father allowed me to get it done."

"Who is your cousin?" She couldn't help but ask curiously wondering if maybe she knew the girl. She did know a few Gryffindors. Hady knew that no matter how much she would try to keep herself sane when it came time for her OWLs it wasn't going to work. She always overdid things. But now the talk of tests was done and Echo wanted a PJ party? Could they do that...have mixed years in one dorm? Shifting a little bit she shrugged her shoulders. "We might have to ask our head of house about that but I wouldn't mind it." She agreed suddenly reminded of her talk with Angel last time. She'd really need to find that girl soon.

"Ohh, my cousin... her name is Emmy... well its Emmy-lou Duchannes" she smiled as she thought that it would be good to list of some of her friends that she hangs out with. "her boyfriend is Kace and they hang around Cinna and Lux and Bay (when he was here) " she giggled. Lux was epic and a great friend for being a few years older then herself. "Oh I know who they all are." Hady replied with a nod of her head. Erm owl the Head of House or go see her? Whichever worked faster? "Whichever really, I'm not fussed with it either way." She shrugged her shoulders as a added response. Right now she was comfortable and sorta didn't want to get up.

"awesome, everyone seems to know that group" she giggled as she pulled her pet mouse out of her pocket, he looked like he had just woken up as he gave a huge yawn. "hey Klein, you ready for breakfast?" she said while reaching into her other pocket for little baby carrots and cheese. Watching him nibble on some food she continued. "we can do it later, I think were alll way to tired to do this tonight" she giggled while hearing the mouse chomp on his food.

"awesome, everyone seems to know that group" she giggled as she pulled her pet mouse out of her pocket, he looked like he had just woken up as he gave a huge yawn. "hey Klein, you ready for breakfast?" she said while reaching into her other pocket for little baby carrots and cheese. Watching him nibble on some food she continued. "we can do it later, I think were alll way to tired to do this tonight" she giggled while hearing the mouse chomp on his food.

Blinking once she narrowed her eyes at the mouse for a moment silently glad that Hagan was up in her dorm room. "Yeah we have time to go ask." No sense in getting up and trudging all around the castle right at this very moment. Klein? That was cute. Really it was Hady liked it. Laughing softly she gave Echo a small smile. "Hello there Klein. I have a cat up in the dorms...and an owl and snake back home..." Geez she missed them. Why had she left Riddick home again? "And Elvis the Pet Rock." Mhmm couldn't forget him.

Felix huffed as she finally tumbled through the secret entrance into the common room. It was hard for a short person to keep up with so many fast moving giants. Not for the first time in her life she cursed her small stature. After catching her breath she was able to get a good look at her home for the next seven years.

She stood in the middle of the common room and soaked it all in. Her great-aunt Tomasina, her aunt Paris, her uncle Lucas, her father Dillon, and her cousin Israel, had all been students at Hogwarts sorted into Slytherin. It was a wonder the building was still standing. She was Slytherin royalty. She had some pretty big shoes to fill. This was either a good idea or she really was going to have to burn the place down to leave her mark.

Her cat Boo meowed from her cage. Felix had totally forgotten about the cat. "Oh my baby," she cooed. She set her carrier down and let the tiny creature out. Boo promptly marched off to explore the castle.

Felix found an empty armchair to pen a letter for her father and her aunt.

"oh they are for sure." she giggled as she got more comfortable and placed her pet on her stomach and let him curl up and take a nap after all he had just eating. "oh you have a cat, along as hes not around right now Klein can hang out a bit." she giggled. "whats your pets names?" she asked whiles starring at the girl.. did she just say a pet rock?? really. was it just a plain old rock? "Elvis the pet rock? can i meet him, it sounds interesting." she never knew anyone who owned such a strange pet.

"i wonder how the classes are going to be like this year, i mean last year was crazy but... hey you never know. this is hogwats right" she laughed as she saw another young girl come into the common room.

seeing her open the crate she instantly scooped up her sleeping pet mouse and put him back in her pocket, the place where he liked to spend the most time.

Seeing the kitty she smiled, she loved all animals. "Haii, your kitty is so cute!!!" she told her as she introduced herself. "Im Echo Duchannes, Second year" she looked and watched the cat move around and then go out of sight.

"come over and get comfortable with us.. were just talking about this years classes" she told the new girl.

Hady grinned a little as she watched the younger girl with her pet. "Mhmm, his name is Hagan but he's in the dorm room sleeping." Or at least he had been the last time she'd been up there. "Back home I also have an owl Riddick and a snake named Aime. My parents take care of them for me when I'm not home." She explained holding back a small laugh at the look on Echo's face when she'd mentioned her Pet Rock. "Yes. Professor Airey was holding an 'adoption' stand at the start of term feast." That's where she'd gotten Elvis. Reaching into the pocket of her robes she pulled out the green rock with goggle eyes and a silver mouth. "This is Elvis." Hady didn't really care if anyone thought she was crazy or silly for having the pet, she liked it.

Hady laughed quietly nodding her head. "From what I've heard from the older kids it's always crazy around here."

While he often favored staying inside the Castle than wandering around the grounds, particularly around summer times, today he simply didn't feel like leaving the Common Room. It was highly likely he missed a lesson along the way, but it was nothing to be concerned about.

Divination was the one he probably missed.

Instead of occupying himself with important matters or homework or whatever it was education demanded of you, Oleander was lounging on a sofa, admiring Hemlock incessantly twisting around his wrist. The snake seemed to be in quite some distress, while the owner appeared to be deep in thought.

Agatha had FINALLY managed to get a hold of her mad cat and she took her to the Common Room with her. Her plan was to stretch, but since a miracle had happened and Lady had been distracted enough for Agatha to grab her, she took advantage of this and her new plans were to show off how beautiful her Turkish Van Cat was.

Unique, see. Just like her owner.

The Slytherin flipped her hair proudly as she got nearer one of the sofas and saw there was already someone there with their own pet. A pet snake, no less. What was that? Some sort of trend? The sixth year paid no attention to newcomers, and kept on pretending to be deep in thought, until he couldn't no more for he was interrupted. At least he didn't mind the interruption, he welcomed it, even. Only because it was Agatha and she was alright, although her curiosity caught him off guard. "Him." He said, eyes on Miss Hapgood. "I don't know, he's usually not this restless. Maybe he wants to be outside or senses something is off...," then his gaze focused on the cat the fellow Slytherin was holding, "...is that yours?" The poor thing truly looked like it wanted to get away, an image quite contrary to the one he sees when his sister hangs out with her own cat.

Perhaps Agatha took it from someone, but that would make no sense whatsoever, she wouldn't deal with someone else's pet no matter what. Actually, besides horses, he didn't know if she liked animals or not. Assuming she even likes horses to begin with.

Dragging his bag across the floor behind him, Dalton slowly made his way into the furthest corner of the Common Room and flopped into a chair, dropping his bag to the floor underneath him. This 'trying' thing was HARD, man, and it was making him tired. All he wanted to do was was give up and stuff, and it was hardly like he'd done anything.

He'd barely even glanced at his homework, but turning up to lessons was difficult. When could he go home? He leant down and dug around in his backpack, pulling out the scruffy, crumpled copy of the comic Aled had sent to him only a few days ago. He should probably write back at some point soon, but he'd only written to Tristan a few weeks ago, and he needed to read the comic first.

Blerrrgh.

Having been sitting in her usual beanbag seat with her legs tucked up underneath her Hady's attention was fixated out the large window watching the water outside. It was typical of her to do this was she was in some type of thought and needed to be alone for a few moments. So she didn't entirely realize it when her cat Hagan hopped off her lap and padded across the room.

Hagan made his way for Dalton standing beside the boys leg and rubbing his head against his pants with a quiet mewing sound slowly circling around his leg.

Snapping from her daze when she heard her cat the third year shifted in her seat to look around. Spotting her kitty she let out a deep sigh. "Hagan come here...leave him alone.." She scolded half-heartedly. Yeah she wasn't one to scold anything really so this was a huge fail. Clearly the cat wasn't about to listen to her like he normally did making Hady rise to her feet and cross the room where she scooped the Calico Munchkin Cat into her arms giving a small smile at Dalton. "Sorry about him..he likes attention."

Opening the pages of the comic, Dalton felt a slight twinge of guilt - his best friend prided these things, if he saw the state it was in. Meh. Being a rather perceptive young snakette she noticed Dalton had bitten his lip as he jerked his leg up earlier. He also appeared grumpyish? Maybe he wasn't a fan of cats or something was wrong? She wasn't sure and it wasn't really her place to pry but being in the same house she felt she should at least check that he wasn't allergic to cats or something...

Shuffling her feet a little she caught his grimace and sighed. "Normally he doesn't do that...I hope he didn't upset you to much..." She tilted her head towards the comic. "I'm Hady by the way."

Oh, and now she looked all uncomfortable. Had he said something? Had he done something AWFUL? Not in his opinion, but he'd probably just come off as rude AS PER USUAL. He didn't exactly care, but took a few deep breaths to calm himself down and stop himself from saying anything that would offend her anymore.

If he hadn't already insulted her cat enough.

"It's... It's chill," Dalton said with a little nod, brow furring and grimace dissipating slightly. The cat hadn't done any realistic harm, just really bloody annoyed him, and he SUPPOSED that it probably wasn't the nicest thing ever to take that out on its own.

It wasn't as if it was her fault. But it wouldn't have happened if she'd controlled it better.

"I'm Dalton."

Continuing the motion of scratching the cats ears she lightly leaned against one ofthe other chairs rather then sit. It didn't appear as if he wanted any company and especially not when she had her cat with her.
