Secret Passage Leading to Honeydukes' Cellar The passage that was once cut off by a deliberate blockage now opens up to a long stretch of tunnel heading under the school and across the grounds. Where does it end? Honeydukes of course! It's about an hour's walk if one is willing to make it, but the sweets at the end of the tunnel are reward enough. The passage itself is somewhat narrow and pitch black unless you've got your own source of lighting. |
Gabe <3 Noel was contemplating if he should do this. He really wanted to. Despite the fact that the puffs had been blessed with the kitchen right next to their common room, and Noel could get whatever he wanted from there - he was craving something else. And he had nothing better to do. Chewing the last of his liquorice candy, the sixteen year old took out his wand and said: Lumos. With light at he end of his wand, Noel began walking. |
If anyone was familiar with this passage, they would notice something new on the steps. Well, they were not something new in essence, just more cobwebs on the corners and up on the walls. In fact, there seemed to be too many of them here due to how deserted this area was, and how conveniently dark and damp. They would get caught in your hair, your clothes, your FACE and all of you should you try and use this tunnel. |
Anyone want to RP with me/Kate and The Narrator? :D Quote:
Kate paused at the entrance to what used to be called the 'Secret Passage'. She knew where it went now, even though she'd never taken this route. There were also cobwebs EVERYWHERE, which made the place look less inviting. Her eyebrows wrinkled inward as she looked the cobwebs over. Why were they taking over the castle? She could barely walk around anymore without getting them all over her. Seriously. What was going on?! |
Kate, the Narrator, and ?? SPOILER!!: Kate Daisy had taken a wrong turn – somewhere and now found herself inside a tunnel. A tunnel that didn’t appear to be used very often. She remembered the last time she had taken a wrong turn. She’d found herself at a dead end in the dungeons with Noah nearby. She was great at getting lost. Rubbish sense of direction she had and great, now she was thinking about Noah. Ugh, Noah. She’d managed to avoid him all year and that was a good thing because the last thing she had said to him had caused him to storm out of the Great Hall at the welcome feast. She paused. Was there a sound up ahead? It sounded like breathing. “Hello?” She ventured softly hoping to find someone who could help her find her way back to the Great Hall. She knew how to get around from the landmark – usually. “Someone there?” she called a little louder. Her ballet shoe got stuck on something and as she stepped it came off. “Eww,” she muttered placing a hand on the wall. What was wrong with this place? She knew it was a castle and all, but it sure seemed like the spider webs were overkill. After all, it wasn’t Halloween. She managed to slip her foot back into the ballet flat and dislodge it from the spiderwebs, but then her hand was stuck on the wall. “Song of a banshee! That’s just wonderful…” |
Abby seemed to have taken a wrong turn heading back up to the school and saw that she wasnt alone and she wondered what was going on a where they were as she saw that she wasnt the only student who had taken a wrong turn and wondered where they were from what Abby was thinking this one of the supposed to be caved in secret passages to the school |
For Anyone c: Hady knew exactly where she was going when she'd entered the passageway to Honeyduke's. The moment she'd stepped foot into the darkness the third year cast a murmured 'Lumos' holding her wand firmly in her hand in front of her. It wasn't the brightest of lights but it was enough to cast a glow across the walls or fall to keep her from falling flat on her face. However it wasn't enough to show every spiderweb lurking around everywhere! "Ew..." she muttered quietly plucking the sticky web from her hair and wiping a hand over her face. "This is getting really out of hand..." Sighing quietly she whispered a soft 'Nox' cancelling the light charm before casting a quick 'scourgify' on herself to rid her face, hair and clothing of all the dirt and webs. Maybe this had been a bad idea... All she'd wanted was peace and quite as she took the long trek towards Honeydukes. This wasn't what she had in mind though! Once she was clean or close enough to it Hady cast 'lumos' once more holding her wand a bit further out in front of herself in hopes of being able to not walk into webs so much. |

Hady, the Narrator, & Kate SPOILER!!: Hady & the Narrator With great muster, Daisy managed to pull her hand free of the wall, but not free of the spider webs. Some remained stuck to her hand as if eager to come along for a ride. As if the webs needed help getting around. They seemed to be everywhere. “Great! That’s just great…” Daisy said staring at her hand. The light was dim in here and she could hardly see much. Then suddenly the passageway was brighter. She raised her web-covered hand up to shield her eyes from the light. She recognized the voice that spoke before her eyes adjusted to see the face that spoke them. Hady had used her favorite spell, or least her favorite spell when Daisy was around. “Hady?” Daisy said lowering the web-covered hand. “You do enjoy that spell don’t you?” she asked the older student. If someone looked at Daisy, you’d swear her hair poofed up in response to the charm. The last time Hady had used it, Daisy’s hair had become a puff ball that rivaled a pigmy puff. In the light Daisy could see how badly the webs covered her hands. She didn’t dare reach for her wand. She’d get webs all over herself if she did. Then something else came into focus in Hady’s light. “What the?” she began noticing red spots covering her hands. They looked an offal lot like chickenpox. But she had had those when she was 3, she couldn’t get them again...could she? And then they started to itch….and her feet started to itch. “Oh my ….” She scratched. She wasn’t able to help it. The spider webs spread a to her other hand. |
Kate blinked as she was suddenly joined by not one, not two, but three other girls. Merlin, this place must have been more popular than she assumed when she'd stopped here only seconds before. Noticing that both the Gryffindor girl and Hady were getting rashes of some sort from the webs, Kate tried to think as quickly as she could. "Watch out," she told the Ravenclaw girl, the one she thought was related to Angel and AJ. "Something weird is going on." She gently grabbed both Hady and Daisy's arms and tried to pull them into a safer direction. The cobwebs weren't going to try and eat them alive, were they?! "Are you okay?" she asked them. *BLIIIIIIINK* |
Abby nodded at the younger Ravenclaw when she saw what had happened to Hady and the younger gryffindor girl what was going on with these cobwebs everywhere and why were there rashes forming now Abby was truly puzzled |
Before the Slytherin could take another step forward she heard a voice coming towards her. She knew the voice but didn't completely place the name with the face until the younger girl was in front, her question making Hady laugh. "It comes in handy." Like for cobwebs or pastry snacks. She was clean for the moment and that's what really mattered to her. As she was talking she felt the pain. It was an odd sort of pain...one followed by an extreme want to scratch where the pain was coming from. Trying not to scratch her face or head she raised her wand to shine it's light over her hands that were now itchy as well. What was that?! It liked like some rash of some sort...only she was fine not even five minutes earlier. Chewing her lip and trying with all her might not to scratch she glanced at Daisy about to tell her not to touch the bumps she noticed she had too. Before she could though she was pulled aside by someone. Kate. She remembered her from the summer trip to Loch Ness. "Yeah, yeah I'm okay. Itchy but okay. Uh did anyone else touch any cobwebs...I know you did Daisy it was all over your hands..." She looked at each girl in turn and then to Abby just noticing she was there too. "I think the webs are causing the rash..." Hady crinkled her nose in annoyance as she used her wand arm to rub at her cheek where it was incredibly itchy. She couldn't help it! |

In the light, Daisy could see that Hady was biting her lip. She continued to scratch at her hand, spreading the cobwebs to her other hand in the process. "What's wrong?" she asked, not realizing that she too, was making a face. The itch turned into a burn that itched and burned and itched and burned and itched...it was a vicious cycle. Daisy had no impulse control and therefore could not stop herself from itching. Quote:

"Yah think?" Daisy asked the girl who stated something odd was going on and to Hady who stated the dots itched. Couldn't she see Daisy knew that? Itch - scratch - burn - itch - scratch... Something grasped Daisy by the elbow and she was yanked back just as she was about to start rubbing her right foot (the one that had lost the shoe) with her left. "Oye!" she called out. "What's with the man-handling?!" She struggled a little, wanting to scratch more but unable to do so with the girl holding onto her arm. Instead, she started rubbing her right hand on her jumper, spreading cobwebs around. Yes, poor Daisy wasn't very good at impulse control... |
Well, it was obvious the cobwebs had caused the breakout on the other two girls. Did cobwebs normally do that? Kate had no idea. She'd never really had that much contact with one. Looking at Hady and Daisy, she was suddenly glad she stopped and paused next to the nasty gathering of webs and not right on top of them. She blinked at the Gryffindor's reaction to Kate's help. "Man-handling?" she asked. Hadn't she just gently taken their hands and guided them away? Maybe somebody else was hiding in the depths of the passageway and had yanked the girl's hand? Just in case, Kate peered into the passageway but ended up seeing nothing unusual. "Sorry," she mumbled, just to be nice. "We probably shouldn't stick around any longer," she told them. "You two might need to get the Healer to check that out. Want me to walk with you?" |

Perhaps that Ravenclaw's idea about running to the Healer was a good one. |

She'd run, but she was too scared to look up, and what if she fell down into the secret passage? "RUN!" she screamed again. And she would have run had she not felt so sick all of the sudden. "I'm going be sick to my stomach..." she mumbled. |

She scratched her right ankle with the toe of her left shoe. Itch-scratch- burn – itch… “Um….” She began. Quote:

So much was going on all at once now. There was talking, pulling, pushing and a lot of confusion. All Hady could really think about however was the itching and the want to scratch those itches. Clearly they had established the fact that the red painful itchy bumps were caused by the cobwebs which were everywhere. What they needed now was to move...as in get out of the passage way and back into the corridors of the castle leading them up to the Healers. There really wasn't any time for her to voice what was going on, how she felt or what they needed to be done as the two younger girls began screaming. Out of nowhere something landed right on her shoulder and bit her making her jump in surprise as well as flinch slightly in pain. Just as the first one landed on her there were spiders everywhere! Taking a deep breath and refusing to scream Hady did something really stupid and side-stepped out of the way placing a one of her hands on each of the younger girls backs (Daisy and Kate) giving them both a light push forward. "Try to keep calm...slow even breaths there Kate, it'll be alright. Keep your heads down if you can and keep moving until you're in the corridor." As she spoke to them both she reached over and grabbed a hold of Abby's sleeve tugging her along with her. There was no time to waste and her head was already beginning to pound. Gripping her wand tightly still she cast another 'lumos' to give them some light so hopefully no one would trip. What she wanted was to make sure they all got out...even if she had to drag them out of there. SPIDERS though! Ughh how she hated SPIDERS! |
Abby gripped her wand as she was being pulled along by Hady and her head was pounding she would have to pay a visit to the healer these bites were painful and now she hated spiders a lot |
Seriously? ... What was the deal with the Gryffindor girl? They'd get nothing accomplished yelling at each other and shoving one another out of the way. Kate gritted her teeth in frustration but quickly clamped her mouth shut when she realized a spider or two or ten of four hundred could crawl in. EWWWW. "I'm trying," she said, and she really was trying to move. Somebody pushed her forward then, and Kate tried to remember to breath like Hady was telling her to. "I'm going to be sick..." she mumbled again. Finally, she reached an opening that didn't have a rainfall of spiders coming down on it, and she opened her eyes. Breath, Kate. Breathe. Then on that note, she threw up, the contents of her stomach spilling into a puddle on the corridor. |

“Not good…” Daisy let go of her to cover her own mouth with both hands spreading webs onto her face. She could handle spiders and darkness and webs, the itching and burning and the being bitten, but puke? Nooopppee. Her own stomach, which had started to hurt as they moved, began rolling. She got that funny penny-coppery-sweat-salty feeling her mouth and soon the contents of her own stomach were splashing onto the corridor floor. Tears started to form in the corner of Daisy’s eyes as she stood there bent over with her hands on her knees. If there was one thing she absolutely hated and couldn’t deal with and it was now dribbling down her chin. A groan escaped her as she tried to hold back big deep sobs as well as the urge to upchuck again. |

Feeling no need to answer Daisy's question as it was clear she was moving them to freedom of this passageway Hady kept quiet holding her wand light higher. All that was important now was not scratching the itches, not getting sick to her stomach and getting everyone out! So move! Move! Move! Spotting the light of the corridor up ahead Hady kept moving along behind her three friends not stopping until they all were safely out in the corridor. "Nox.." she muttered cancelling the light charm finally. They didn't get far though as almost right away Kate could be heard and the poor girl spilled her stomach onto the corridor floor followed closely by Daisy the same. With a small groan the brunette turned away from them to take a calming breath trying to keep herself from doing the same. Shuddering a little she fished through her bag for tissues passing them to both of the younger girls. "Here...let me clean you both up..." Without saying more and trying to calm she raised her wand at them each in turn casting a much needed 'Scourgify' before doing the same to the floor. There. That hopefully should keep them from getting sick again. "Uh...do you both think you can make it to the Healers wing?" Clearly that was where they all needed to go even if she didn't want to. As she said this she cast the same cleaning charm on herself once more to rid her clothing of any cobwebs though it did nothing to make her feel better. |
Kate was honestly feeling too nauseated and sick on her stomach to follow all of the conversation going on around her. She was, however, vaguely aware of somebody passing her a tissue and then cleaning up the throw up along the corridor. "Thank you," she mumbled, wiping her mouth. Could she make it to the Hospital Wing? Kate had no idea, but she had to try. "I'm going to try," she said. "At least we're already on the third floor." "Let's go. I'm not sure we'll be okay much longer without some help," she said to them. Then on that note, she left the area and headed toward the Hospital Wing. |
SPOILER!!: Kate Hady gave a tiny nod of her head when Kate thanked her for the tissue. It wasn't a big deal really since she always had tissues in her bag. Especially now since all the cobwebs and stuff. Thankfully the younger girl didn't get sick again and she seemed stable enough to make her way to the healer. "Yeah, lets get going." Hady wiped a hand across her forehead as she tried to take slow even breaths. Each step took her closer to where she needed to go. Just keep moving along Hady and you'll be alright shortly. Hopefully. |
Abby was scared and shaking she had a pounding headache and listened to the others and continued to try to get out of the secret passage she hated spiders now and she felt sick but wasn't ready to throw up yet |
