Once allowed in, you are first greeted by Professor Thompson's goose, Lala, residing on the nearby couch when not in her usual pen. The interior walls are wooden and carved in some areas with the occasional portraits hanging, giving off the occasional musky and spicy scent. You see a carved in cove, where the majority of the sunshine is hosted from the open windows. Below the windows are shelves lined with many books, photographs of his family and some momentos hidden in. Before those is a desk, where Professor Thompson is sitting.
OOC: Make sure to post knocking the door here if you wish to speak with Professor Thompson beforehand.
Kace entered Professor Thompson's office and he was still amazed by its beauty. Man he just loved the whole feel of the outdoors and wooden cabin type of look. He found a chair sitting across Professor Thompson's desk and he waited patiently. He wondered what options he had for him. I mean he would love to travel abroad and study Dragons. That would be amazing. His foot was tapping with the nerves on what he had to say. Also Professor Thompson mentioned he was going to get some tea. He wondered what kind of tea? He hoped it was Apple Spice. That was always good. He wondered where the cups were and he saw the Professor in the next room.
Enough with the over thinking, he just sat there and waited patiently for his tea and big talk about his future.

After they had entered in Professor Thompson then closed the door behind before he went over to the steaming kettle. "Here you are." Pouring some of the freshly brewed honey tea in the two cups. Lala was snoozing away in her spot. Bringing them over before sitting down as he passed one to the Hufflepuff. "Alright Mr. Lecium, so you're interested in pursuing Magizoology." Particularly with Dragons, but hey, who wasn't interested in them these days? Opening his drawers to take out a folder first. "You had mentioned wanting to work with creatures right after school.." Luckily he didn't even have to ask about his current experiences. Javier was a farm boy too when he was this student's age, so the magical creatures provided here was an added bonus. "Now were you particularly interested in working at the Ministry of Magic or applying at Wizarding University?"

He saw his pet was snoozing away in his office too. When Professor Thompson said if he was interested in pursuing Magizoology. He didn't quite know what he wanted to pursue but if that is what it was called then so be it. "Yes I did. I would love to work with creatures." he just wanted to assure himself of what he wanted to do. "Well I would like to go to a University, that would be a nice if I could. I can't really see myself working in the Ministry of Magic just yet when Hogwarts is over.." he told him truthfully. He hoped there were classes dealing with Magizoology. There had to be right? "What Universities deal with Magizoology?" he asked his curiosity peaking up.

Tea was wonderful for every occasion, even if it took some time to appreciate its taste. "You're welcome." Javier then nodded as young Mr. Lecium declined the option of Ministry of Magic. Well, that made things a little easier to advise. Options like everyone were great in moderation.
"Alright then, Mr. Lecium." Opening up the folder he could get a refresher on his O.W.Ls and current grades for comparison as Professor Thompson glanced down at it. "While you had achieved an Acceptable on your O.W.L's two years ago, your grades have been more than satisfactory as of late." Before closing it. "Magizoology is typically coupled with Cryptozoology, the study of unknown creatures, at the Wizarding Universities." Opening another drawer to whip out one of their pamphlets before passing it over to the student, "The campuses located here in Great Britain along with the many others offer Magizoology."
Now for the specifics, "Typically the first two years of studying will consist on you taking classes that detail in all creatures magical and non-magical. Mainly to help peak students interest in other creatures as well as supply them with enough knowledge before they can take classes more associated with their preferred creature." He paused to make sure he was on the same page. It was a lot to take in at once after all before asking. "Do you have a preference on location, Mr. Lecium?" As Javier once did, it was possible to have a certain effect where he chose to study at.

As Kace heard Professor Thompson announce his OWL grade, he couldn't believe he took it two years ago. Man that was a loonngg time ago it felt like. He heard all the information Professor Thompson was giving him and he was relieved his grades were satisfactory. I mean his OWL grade wasn't the best but he did really well on the classes. That counted right? As he grabbed the pamphlet and he saw all the locations, he was blown away how many there were. "Wowww that is a lot of locations.." he said just as a thought. He heard what he was gonna be studying and he nodded. Studying non magical and magical creatures would not be soo bad. It sounded up his ally.
He heard Thompson's question and he was totally absorbing all the information he shook his head and then got back on track. He thought about what would be easy for his parents. Yes he could stay in the United States but then he could be in London and be closer to Emmy. Decisions...Decisions. I mean he was growing up, his parents didn't need to watch over him every second. "Well I think I would like to go to the London Campus.." he said making his final decision. "Professor I am curious would the classes change if I moved to one of the campuses in the United States?" I mean he just wanted to know his options.
Eden had looked up when Professor Thompson told her to come in, which she did, shivering slightly. She hadn't been there...TOO long...but long enough to feel terribly chilly. "Thank you, sir--" she said politely as she stood and slipped into his office.
Oh.
She needed her notebook--she picked it up off the seat she had set it down on next to her and THEN swept inside. "How are you today, Professor?" she asked with a smile as she glanced around his office. She really should have visited his office before now, seeing as she was probably going to University for creature related studies, but...eh. Too late for that...
She glanced around his little...nice office. Was that a GOOSE? Eden wondered if she should sit...she should probably sit. GOSH it was a lot warmer in here...

Though it was very faint, one of Professor Thompson's eyebrows did raise a little at the location questions. It was curious to him. How the student was interested in one campus but was also considering transferring to another one in the not so distant future. Not that it was a problem. The man couldn't help the curious nature on him that peaked at times. "In the case that you ever have to change locations, you shouldn't have any trouble with your credits transferring as they all operate under the same jurisdiction." Just with a different location. However, "You may find some classes related to dealing with creatures have a difference on the species or the availability of them. " Such as, "For example, the Clabbert being native in North America. When it comes time to learn of them, you will have the advantage of the ease of access to them versus in London where there's more of an expense having to rely on them being imported or having a trip to their location." As evidenced here at Hogwarts with the Loch Ness Monster. "Other than that, you should be fine no matter where you attend the University at." Javier paused again just to be sure if he had any other concerns before moving on to the requirements.
Since the Hufflepuff was all for attending the Wizarding University, Professor Thompson started with the usual, "Assuming you have already or are in the works of speaking with your Head of House, Deputy Botros, on your career choice path there minimum acquired grades the University is accepting of is no lower than Exceeds Expectations on your NEWT's or OWL's grade in my class." Continuing, "As already stated with your current progress you should be able to easily scape one with enough effort. I do however recommend you also earn the same minimum grade in Defense Against the Dark Arts and Charms, especially when you'll be working with Dragons who require the same quick reflexes as expected from Aurors." Then lastly, "What I will also recommend of you as I suggest to everyone is keeping a record of all creatures, magical or non-magical that you have previously and currently interacting with. Detailing both yours and the creature's interactions. When it comes to the entrance essay for the University, referencing your documented journal will set you apart from other applicants who merely fit the bare minimum requirement." Now how did that sound for the student? He paused again for any another questions.

After unlocking and allowing the younger Ravenclaw student inside, Professor Thompson followed her inside before hanging his scarf. "Not a problem. You may sit wherever you'd like." Lala the goose had been snoozing on the couch until she heard one of her favorite people enter. Another student of his. She merely watched. Would this student pet her? She wouldn't mind either way. She loved the attention.
Professor Thompson then went over where the cups were, pouring some milk and cocoa in before a simple mix with his wand before heating it. "You like chocolate, correct?" He offered. It was fine if she didn't since he had other hot drinks available to serve before sitting down. He returned the smile with his own, "I'm doing quite fine, thank you Miss McGee." Noticing the notebook she had with her, "Now what can I do for you?"

Eden took a seat next the fire and eyed the goose curiously. "Does she...he? bite?" she asked curiously, holding out her hand for the dear. It seemed to be pretty friendly, though. OF all the geese Eden had ever come into contact with, this was was a winner, because usually geese were MEAN MEAN MEAN, flappy squawking MACHINES.
"I love chocolate." She grinned over at him. It was one of her favorites! Was he making her some hot chocolate? Ooooh. Why were the professors always SO cool about refreshments? Professor Morgan always made her hot cocoa, too, and Mr. Kitridge with his lemonade. Merlin. She needed to find a professor who did cookies...
BECAUSE COOKIES.
"Oh--" Eden chuckled and unfolded her notebook and uncapped her quill. "I just had...an article I was working on for the Quill?" she blushed slightly. "I'm in charge of the Creatures and Herbology centered articles. I wanted to do an article this time on..Abraxan races. And I kind of just wanted your opinion on Abraxan racing...if you had ever attended one...and if you're in favor of it, why? And if not--why not?" she asked all of this very clearly and not TOO fast. She had her quill poised, ready to write down whatever he said.
She wished she knew a charm...or had a Quick Quotes Quill. Then, this would be much easier.

Kace let out a sigh of relief and was glad his credits would transfer over. I mean his mother would be happy if she wanted him to switch schools. He did make a good point because some of the creatures he will be studying will not be native to the region he will be in. "No that makes sense. I will take the into consideration but it sounds like I will have an advantage over other students if I do consider that." he grinned with glee. He heard Thompson pause and he didn't have any questions on the credits part.
Now he made a mental note to meet with his head of house. "No I haven't met with Bostros yet but I will soon." he told him with a firm nod. His heart sank when they wouldn't accept anything lower than a Exceed Expectations. He grinned sheepishly, "I mean I got an A in Care of Magical Creatures so I guess they won't accept me huh?" he asked bracing for the answer. He made sure to work extra hard in Defense Against the Dark Arts and in Charms. Kace nodded and asked, "Professor will you be able to help me get a journal and help me log stuff in?" he asked. "I mean not with all of it but just give me a head start?" he asked.

"Good," That this one did like chocolate. Javier could only imagine how awkward it would've been otherwise for anyone of that matter to have to explain otherwise. But he didn't need to fret over that as he handed her the cup of hot chocolate. The Creature Professor then did notice her hesitation to Lala which led him to say, "She's very found of human contact in case you're wondering. You can pet her if you'd like." She had been trained not to bite unless necessarily and this wasn't one of those cases thankfully.
Now Javy knew what was going on. He had an idea, but this settled most of his own thoughts out as he nodded slowly after sipping his own chocolate drink. "I see.." He had been aware of the Quill and may have read a few of their articles. As for the question on Abraxan racing, "I have been to quite a few in my University days. It's no more different than the other sporting events that take place in providing entertainment and exposure to main competitors involved." Did Miss McGee need more of an elaboration? He would have no trouble providing it if needed.

As Javier expected from his students in terms of effort at the very least. "Excellent." Now as for his OWLs grade, Professor Thompson made a small waving off motion with his discouragement, "How well you do on your NEWTs will take priority over your OWL grades. You'll just have to put some more effort in your entrance essay for them to accept you. Otherwise there are courses at the University you can take before applying to their department again in the future." A small smile then did appear, "As long you have the journal provided, I'll be more than happy to help give you a few pointers on your entries."

Eden smiled instantly at his words and reached out for the goose to lick or sniff her hand, whatever the goose wanted...and then reached ahead to stroke the goose's head.
She seemed sweet!
Her hand was scribbling down his words as fast as she could. So..he had attended some?! That was cool. Eden did have a few followup questions she wanted to ask, yeah! "So when you attended them while in University...did you enjoy them?" she asked curiously, her quill poised. "Did you find the Abraxans were treated all right? I know there are some enthusiasts out there who oppose the racing of Abraxan--but there are others who find it perfectly acceptable."
Eden herself was still on the fence.

Then he heard his course work at the University will help him and it decreased his anxiety level a little bit. He also wondered about this, "When should I apply. Did i miss the dates?" he asked hoping he wasn't TOO late.
Ah well he needed to get a journal. He grinned and got out his wand and summoned one journal that was empty. "Well I have this empty journal right here I will use..." he said opening it and showing his blank pages. "I guess I will have to remember all the creatures I dealt with huh?" he laughed. "I am mad I didn't make notes back then when I was a first year.." he shrugged. But then again he didn't know he wanted to do this back in his first year. "I know we dealt with Unicorns, Abraxan Horses, Nifflers and Hippogriffs that is about all I can remember for now.." he said making notes on his journal. "Would the animals from my farm work too? Would I need to put them in?" he asked to be sure.

Lala knew one thing for sure, she liked this girl! She was very gentle with her and this goose knew her delicate feathers deserved the best pets, making her move even closer. Meanwhile Professor Thompson was softly stroking his own facial hair beard. Could probably use a little extra trim, but no matter as he was reliving those earlier days. "I certainly did," Before continuing, "You'll find those critics around in just about any sport, with legitimate reasons, such as that with Quidditch," However, "Most of the criticism is on the overall concern for the well-being on the Abraxans and their treatment. While kept in a controlled environment during the race, there are some incidents of their drinks being tainted with potions to increase their strength and speed for example. Actions that are dealt with just as well as with any evidence of abuse thanks to the strict rules kept in place." So what did that mean? "As long as it remains in control, there will remain fewer reasons to discontinue the sport."

"Well Mr. Lecium, for starters you'll want to introduce yourself and your own background and include why you want to attend their Magical Institution. With your own words and how you feel attending there will help benefit you as well as them." As for the dates however, he gave a little wink after saying this "Let's go with yesterday as your due date." Now why? "Not because it is too late, but putting this until the last moment will not only hurt your chances but interfere with your NEWT studies. The coursework is only just beginning to pile on even more during this time."
Good, he did have a journal at hand. Remembering all the magical creatures? "That is correct." Now where to start, "Yes, non-magical creatures can count. I suggest you start from as early as you remember. Listing their characteristics and appearances. Dated by year if you prefer. You might just happen to even remember the ones your earliest years here at Hogwarts." Since Professor Thompson wasn't around then to help on that. Now how did this sound to the young man? He waited on that.

Kace nodded and understood he needed to write an essay. He got out his notebook from his backpack and made a little note. "If I wrote the essay would you be able to proof read it when I am finished or is Professor Bostros a better candidate for that?" He was just curious is all. Kace chuckled and understood. He would start today and began to make notes in the library. "Sure Professor I will go over all the creatures I have encountered. Also I will be going back on my farm for christmas so I can make notes then." he grinned. He was getting even more excited. "Thanks Professor for everything. I will take everything into consideration." He began to pack up his bag and notebook that he made notes in. "I guess I better get to work huh?" he grinned sheepishly.
