Library Study Area Way back behind the many bookshelves and bookcases a cozy area has been created for any Hogwarts student interested in his or her reading. It's a big comfy area with clusters of armchairs and tables surrounding magical reading lamps which give off different levels of light all appropriate for reading. The clusters are perfect for study groups or group projects. |
The study area seemed quiet enough. After all, it was the start of term. Zhenya made her way to the study area to study, of course. She had three heavy textbooks under her arms. One was all about the best way to start studying for exams. The other two were for astronomy and ancient runes, two subjects she struggled with. Deciding to go for comfort over good posture, she slumped into a cozy armchair and opened the book about studying. To get some tips. |

*claims you both* To be honest, this was the first time he visited the library. Not just the Hogwarts library (since he was new here) but even when he was in Kirin, the Korean boy was never been to the place that full of books and whatsoever. He's not a bookworm or study-oriented kind of guy. He's a performer, so the common place where to find THE Jackson Hwang was the music room, or the dance studio. But sadly, there's no music room or dance studio in Hogwarts. Speaking of, why on earth he was here? Well, since he's in fifth year and fifth year meant that he's facing OWLs also he had a deal with his parents that if he failed his OWLs he's gonna say goodbye to his performing arts career so... Yeah, he's already start his OWLs preparation. Maybe it sounded too early for that. Huh. Grabbing the books that he might needed, Jackson then entered the study area. His brown chocolate eyes spotted a familiar girl with another one that he hadn't met yet. He didn't want to make a noise, just a small wave to her and smiled. |

Anyone Can Claim c: Some quiet time. That's just what this third year needed right now. This was why she had made her way to the Library and straight towards the back where all the large comfy seats and couches were. Sweeping her gaze over the area Hady spotted a few others and gave each a small nod in greeting before finding herself a large armchair and settled right down into it pulling her legs up and tucking them under herself. Setting her bag at her feet she pulled out a notepad and pen to begin writing a letter to her parents. Tapping the pen against the paper quietly she just needed a way to start it off. That was always the worse when writing a letter or anything to anyone. There was already a lot to tell them! Like about her classes, new friends and Elvis! Yes she needed to fill them in on her Pet Rock! |

It seemed like she asked him to join them, right? He didn't mind of course. The Korean boy decided to turn back and join them but he didn't notice that his shoelace was untied in one of them. He accidentally tripped once he stepped in. DAMN IT! Clumsy Jackson was being clumsy again. How on earth he didn't realize that his shoe was untied? "Stupid... stupid... stupid... stupid!" He mumbled in Korean. He grabbed the books that he dropped, and stood up and grinned sheepishly. "Sorry uh... It's just a little accident." Lucky that there were just a few people here so he didn't feel too embarrassed like when he was on stage but then forgot the lyrics that he had to sing. Wait, that one was worse. "It's nice to meet you again, noona." He said to the older girl. "Hi, I don't think we'd ever met before. I'm Jackson, fifth year." He said to the other girl (Abby) and extended his hand. |
Abby smiled and shook Jackson's hand and said "Pleasure to meet you Jackson, I'm Abby, fourth year" Abby was glad to already thinking about starting her studying already |

SPOILER!!: Stupid, huh? He didn't realize that his shoelace was untied and now he tripped because of that bloody untied shoelace! Better to tie it first or he could trip again for the second time and it was NOT funny. "I'm fine." The Korean guy answered and smiled. Then he took a seat between them. "Thanks, by the way. What are you doing?" But then he noticed that the older Slytherin was busy with the textbooks and stuffs so.. She was studying. Maybe preparing for the final final exams a.k.a NEWTs already. "I assumed you're kind of... study-oriented student, huh?" He guessed. "Hello to you too, Abby." He smiled at the Ravenclaw girl. Jeez, she's still a fourth year and had been thinking to start preparing OWLs? Were all Ravenclaws kind of study-holic people? Both of his parents were Eagles and uh... They're kinda... passionate about studying and stuff. What? Arithmancy? He couldn't help but crack up when Zhenya asked if he's good in Arithmancy. Seriously? Did he look like a studious guy who loved runes and numbers and stuffs? "No." He stopped laughing and shook his head. To be honest, Jackson Hwang didn't really excel in some lessons, that's why he loved singing and music more. |
Abby nodded at Zheyna and said "That is what i am afraid of Zheyna that i fail my Arithmancy OWL because i seem to can't get my head around the subject but i am going to keep trying" Abby smiled at Jackson as he said he wasn't good at Arithmancy and said "Well what sort of things do you like to do then Jackson?" If studying and stuff wasn't for Jackson |
SPOILER!!: Jackson She looked down at her spread of textbooks and sighed. He guessed it. Study. "Studying for final year exams," she said, almost bitterly. Not excited, not one bit! But then she smiled at Jackson. "Not really study-orientated, which is why I'm pushing myself to study now, so I don't get bogged later. Nothing worse than cramming it all in the night before." Well, not doing anything would be worse. Though perhaps not. Zhenya half smiled at her friend and shrugged. "Worth a shot." Quote:

SPOILER!!: Hady Eden should probably do her homework. Not that she normally didn't--because since coming to Hogwarts in fifth year, she always did her homework. But she'd been procrastinating the past few days due to her EXTREMELY LOW SPIRITS. And now...she had a WHOLE bunch of STUFF to do...in order to stay afloat. How dreadful. She really needed Cole for this...but she thought she recalled that he needed some twin time. That was fine. Cole became something of a distraction sometimes, anyways. So the Ravenclaw took a seat, chewing her gum more quietly because there were other PEEEEEEOPLE in here. Ahem. Chewing gum was probably ILLEGAL in here. But anyways--yeah--she unzipped her backpack and leaned over to pull something out--and--her bag was kinda' close to other girl's bag, a girl Eden recognized as a younger Slytherin...and Eden suddenly yawned-- And-- WELL HOLY SNAP. Her mouth..open..her gum...landed...in the girl's......BAG. HAD SHE NOTICED IT? HAD SHE SEEN IT? DID EDEN HAVE TIME TO RETRIEVE IT? |
SPOILER!!: "Yeah, better to start preparing from now." He nodded. He should too since he was about to face OWLs.. Urgh, his brain was already cramping if he thought about that. Not to mention that he was slightly panic if he couldn't do the best. "Well you... already did OWLs, right?" He asked. "How uh... did it go? Maybe you can... spill your tips to me." The Korean boy grinned. He needed some advice from the older students. He already asked Micky how to face OWLs but he just said. Just go with the flow. Sometimes his brother was slightly... useless. "Well what sort of things do you like to do then Jackson? Wasn't it weird to ask that sort of question to somebody that you just met? Well, he didn't mind to answer that because it showed how passionate he was in his passion. Music. "Singing and music. I also enjoy some dance and act but... I just feel better when I sing." He answered. "Lucky that in Gryffindor common room we have a piano so I still can play like I used to in my old school." |
SPOILER!!: Eden With most of her attention on her letter writing Hady hadn't been paying to much attention to those around her. In her defense though nothing much was exactly happening anyways so this was why she'd chosen to come here and get this letter written. With several lines finally written onto the parchment her writing paused, pen dangling in her fingers as she noticed someone coming her way and sitting in one of the chairs beside her. The older girl hadn't said anything to her so for the moment Hady would keep quiet. Maybe she didn't feel like speaking which was alright by Hady really. People didn't always have to talk. Shifting slightly in her seat her pen touched the parchment once again as she went on to complete her thought. Eden was seen just barely out of the corner of the third years eye as she leaned down and got whatever it was from her bag. When the girl yawned and something from in her mouth fell into Hady's bag she cringed inwardly. Ewww! Whatever it was just get it out of her bag... She would keep quiet for the moment so as not to cause trouble. Just so the older girl retrieved whatever it was and nothing was ruined. Like the two-way mirror...that she needed. |
SPOILER!!: Hady! Eden glanced up at the Slytherin and..yeah. She seemed distracted--so--she swiped the gum which had lodged itself onto one of the girl's notebooks and...where to PUT this? UGH. This is what she got for chewing gum in the library. She dug in her bag for SOMETHING and ended up using an old piece of homework to wrap the gum in. Yeah. RUBBISH BIN anywhere? She spotted one nearby and darted, quickly, to throw it away. She sank back into the chair, blushing, and glanced over at the girl. "Gum. You shouldn't chew gum in a library..." she informed her. Because ...then you might accidentally spit out the gum on someone else's possessions and then have to awkward retrieve it..and..yeah. Not to mention, it was against the rules. AHEM. |
SPOILER!!: Eden That wasn't exactly something Hady wanted dropped into her bag. Especially unwrapped and chewed up gum. Crinkling her nose a bit she watched as the older girl used one of her own notes or something from her bag to wrap the gum into before throwing it away. While Eden was doing that Hady shifted in her seat to bend down and grab her notebook flipping through it and simply tearing out the page the gum and ended up falling onto. Folding the torn page in half a few times she then placed it in the front of her book and set the book back into her bag. As gross as that was it could've been much worse really. As Eden spoke to her she held back a laugh. Sure she could've been angry about it but it was kinda funny. "Probably not. It's okay though, it was an accident." She gave a small shrug. |

"...You saw?" Whoops. Eden BLUSHED and ran a hand through her hair. "Sooorrrrrry...." she mumbled as she pulled out a notebook. "Is' kinda' gross...." Blegh. Now, McGee was EMBARRASSED. "SO sorrrrry." but the other girl was laughing, so Eden didn't think she was mad or anything. "Name's Eden.." she said with a big smile and a nod. She would have included RAVENCLAW in that introduction, but she straightened her blue and bronze tie as she spoke...so she didn't have to. The girl would see the colors and just KNOW. That's how Eden had known the girl was a snake, after all. And from classes and whatnot, too. |
Abby smiled at Zheyna and said "Yeah i think i will try that and see what happens, no harm in asking Professor Tanner really" Abby turned to Jackson and said "Well suppose that is a fun hobby to study and stuff Jackson" Abby was hoping that she was going to learn a bit more about Arithmancy while she was her in the library |
SPOILER!!: Eden Quickly finishing up with the letter she had been writing earlier she scribbled her name on the bottom as she always did. Folding the parchment in half and capping her pen she returned both to her bag before looking over at the older girl. Yeah she had saw what happened but she was more then willing to let the accident go. Forgive and forget. Ya know? "Yeah kinda but it's okay, I'm more then happy to forget about it." Hady told her with a small grin. It had been an accident and Eden had already apologized already. So there was nothing more left to be said. Plus if it counted for anything Hady was more then capable of seeing just how embarrassed the older Ravenclaw seemed to be over it. With that moment done and over she shifted slightly to sit somewhat sideways in the arm tucking one of her legs up under the other so she was facing Eden more. "I'm Hady," she answered with a small grin. |

"Good. Because I have many other talents BESIDES gum chewin'," she explained. "I'm also super good at homework and--AND--I'm good at taking care of animals AAAAAND ...other stuff. I'm good at baking--and--" she blushed suddenly. Was she babbling? She was probably babbling...how...embarrassing. But Hady was a cute name. "it's veeeery nice to meet you, Hady. I've definitely seen you around," she said with a nod as she held out her hand for the girl to shake. "Hady is a cuuuute name. Is your whole name Hady? Or is it a NICKNAME?" Why was she TALKING SO MUCH?! |
SPOILER!!: Jackson OWL's… yes, Zhenya had done them. But tips? Easy. "Well… I just studied. I studied early in the term, though not as hard as I should have done, and I went back through my bits of parchment to remember what we covered from first year through to fifth year and just revised everything. I don't know how the curriculum differs between countries, but I could suggest you speak to your Professors to figure out what was taught in the first four years. If there's something you weren't taught then read up about it, learn it." Was that a lot to do? Probably… but that was her advice. It was easy for her as she had actually been there to learn all the spells and information, but she wasn't sure what Jackson had been taught. Quote:
