A large number of floor-to-ceiling bookcases fill up the library, creating aisles upon aisles of books available for students to read and browse. To make finding books for all years a little easier Mr Kitridge has divided the bookshelves into sections like romance, suspense, crime, history, plants and fungi etc.
To return books just walk up to the appropriate shelf and hold up the book. The gripping charm in place on the shelves will take a hold of the book. When you feel a tug on the book let go and the book will fly up and find its right place amongst the other books on the shelves. When retrieving a book you can use the sliding ladders or if you feel confident with your magic you can use a simple accio charm to retrieve the book you want.
In front of each aisle there is small set of desks which students can use to complete homework, copy notes, take book references or chat. Keep your voices down and be mindful of falling books and other students accessing books around you.
Angel looked up as the Professor spoke too her. "I'm fine, thank you Professor." Angel really was fine though she was still trying to figure out the Professor's patronus issue, seriously she wanted a cute butterfly like he had a cute Otter.
"Eh well my parents are muggle and one owns a shop whilst the other is a tourist guide." Angel said truthfully. "Maybe I could asked one of them for some muggle money and then I can transfer it into Galleons?" Angel was sure that would work, she'd just have to figure out how much she would need in muggle money.
Angel thought about how much was in her bank account. "I don't think there's that much, last time I looked." Angel sighed, she spend it on her books and things though one day she hoped that she could save up loads.
So, he hadn't really expected a life story. Nor had he really thought the young girl was serious about this. But, apparently, she was. Very seriously serious.
There was a twinge of guilt at baiting her into such a consideration. Into even considering baiting her into more. It didn't do much to dwindle his amusement, though it did serve to soften it a little. "I don't know if you could buy a patronus with galleons."
Truthfully, he didn't. There were ways to buy things that one should never be able to acquire, but that was a discussion for a never-ever-in-the-future day.
He replaced the book and turned to look at her. "Though if there was a way, I would not recommend it." A gentle smile touched his lips. "How's the practicing going?"

Angel looked at the Professor and decided to ask him a question, she hoped that he wouldn't mind and she was never going down there in her life not after what happened in her first or second summer. "Professor I heard that in knockturn Alley you can buy anything right?" She wasn't going to tell him she had once been down there.
Angel listened to the Professor intently, so if there was a way he wouldn't recommend it, well he was a Professor so maybe that would be why he had to say that, she wasn't sure though. "Well I can get the silvery light out more now but I can't get it like yours, I've tried to think of different happy memories, but I don't think there strong enough."

The smile was gone in the instant the question mark hit the end of her inquiry. It was replaced by something darker, less forgiving. Possibly scary, if he had a mirror to view himself at that particular point in time.
"The only thing you can truly buy there, is death." His tone surprised even him, but he didn't think to rectify it. If he scared a child so bad from going to that place, then, in his mind he had done the right thing.
Turning back to the shelf, Sabel retrieved a book that had caught his interest at an earlier point. He flipped through it, letting the emotions subside so that he could address Valentine's next point with a more level tone. He even managed to get some of the smile back. "That's good progress. Very good progress. It will come with time and practice." He half forced a chuckle. "Remember that I am old Ms. Valentine. I've had a lot of time and practice to make mine, as it is."

Angel was scared as the Professor spoke about what she had asked, well she and her sister had met this really nasty woman down there and she hadn't been back, but now she was thinking it would be cool to see if you could buy a Patronus down in Knockturn Alley, that was until she saw the look on the Professor face and she blushed like crazy and looked down at her feet.
"I'm sorry about asking Professor." Angel looked up after awhile and was glad to see the Professors mood had improved. "I know that you are older Professor, I just wish I could produce something as amazing as you can." Angel really wished that she make a nice butterfly. "Could you teach me, Professor?"

Sabel let out a huff of air. "Don't be sorry about asking. Never be sorry about asking."
True, he had shot her down quite quickly, but that was the risk one took when asking questions. Any questions. Didn't mean they still shouldn't ask. Doing, on the other hand, was a completely different story.
The huff quickly into a chuckle. Teach her? Wasn't that what he had been trying to do during their lesson? He shook his head in wonder. "Wouldn't be much of a Professor if I said no, now would I?"
Moving down the line of books towards Valentine, Sabel plucked a thin one from the shelf. He'd spared it a few moments of his time earlier. It was a small, thin thing on the little that was written of patronuses. "Have a read through this. See if you can glean some new knowledge from there. Then, we will practice."

Angel looked at the Professor, this was very confusing was he angry with her for asking him the question or didn't he mind her asking the questions, sometimes grown-ups could be really confusing.
Angel looked at the professor and watched him shake his head though he seemed to be agreeing to teach her, awesome. She totally wanted a butterfly as a patronus, that would just be so amazing.
Angel took the book the Professor told her to read through it. "I can read through it now." Angel smiled as she opened the first page and started to read it, she looked at the Professor and smiled. "Professor would a memory of a person you love work better than when I got my Hogwarts letter?" Angel was in love with someone and she really hoped that they would always love her though she wasn't sure at the minute.

No complaints? That was quite a surprise. An agreeable one, but a surprise nonetheless.
His eyebrows went up at her next question, an effort to keep the first thought he had from slipping out. "Depends on which one is stronger. Which one you feel more stable in. That you know, with your heart, is a happy and good one."
Love could be..questionable in that regard. Especially young love. But it really wasn't his place to say she was too young to be in love, even if that was his honest opinion. She didn't need to know it.
"Come find me when you've finished the book. And...do take your time reading it." He gave Valentine a smile. "We'll talk more then."
