| | Let's throw some paint: Eagle House Pride Activity! Timeline: This activity takes place on Saturday afternoon down by the black lake on the grass. A week has transpired after the opening feast.
As you head down from the castle with the last of the summer warmth shining on your face, you spot what looks like a field. On the field you see lots of trees, tree trunks, boulders, portions of stone walls, and other materials that make for good hiding places. Professor Tanner can be seen walking around putting up the finishing touches on the field. The house leaders aren’t taking any risks this term after the tragic death last year: a force field is up to keep unwanted visitors of the creature kind out and for no eagles to stray out of the field and into the Forbidden Forest. If you bump into the force field you will not be injured, you’ll just be nudged gently backwards.
When you come to the entrance of the field you’ll see that Mr Kitridge is already standing there waiting for you with what could only be recognized as paint stains on his clothes. OOC: Welcome to term 40 all you lovely and amazing eagles! Take a seat on the grass and the reason why your HoH has paint stains on his otherwise clean clothes will be revealed. Make sure you have your wand with you; wear clothes that can get dirty and comfortable shoes. No high heels, sorry girls. |

So it looked like Team Bronze was winning. Clearly she knew she had picked the winning side all along. How could they lose with team BRONZE led by Miss BROWN?
Tiara was in stealth predator mode for sure, so the beeping of her watch made her jump - literally jump, wand aloft and ready to Protego five paint balls. Except they never came, and it took a full five seconds for her to realize what was actually happening. It was time to wrap up. Putting her fingers to her lips, she gave a shrill whistle. "Time's UP! Everyone head back to the meeting spot!"
The professor headed back there herself, smiling smugly at the sight of Leobald. He'd been hit several times, by the look of it. "Gather around," she instructed the wet and colorful students. From a box, she dragged a large white sheet out and opened it on the ground. "To commemorate our activity, we'd like you all to use the paint on your clothing to leave a set of hand prints. Then fingerpaint your name underneath." And if they hadn't been hit with anything, well, they knew the spell.

| be curious, not judgmental TEAM BROOOOOOOOOONZE.
They'd TOTALLY dominated - well, at least Sophie wasn't going to see that any other way - and when Tanner called the game to a halt, Sophie pumped a victorious fist in the air. No winner had been DECLARED by any means, and it didn't look like that was going to happen, but the sixth year was okay with quietly taking the brownie points for her team. Which... still included Eden, in her eyes, even though the older girl had been taken back over to the blue side.
But y'know. Everyone was a winner, really, when it came down to it, because no one had died. That was the most important part of any Hogwarts-related activity. THEY'D ALL LIVED.
An impressive feat by far.
Jogging over to the area where Tanner was laying out the white sheet, Sophie eyed those without paint on them - there were a few, actually, and she briefly considered helping them out by shooting a paint bubble at them here and now in close quarters, but she resisted. Instead, Sophie pointed her wand tip at her own hand and cast, "Pingo Bronze." The paint bubble popped on her hand, leaving it brown and slimy, but she cast the spell again to add more paint - she needed enough for BOTH hands and to write her name. When she had a sufficient amount of paint on her hand, she holstered her wand before smearing the paint between both hands.
Was no one else going to go? Well. Then... she'd pave the way.
Taking the initiative to step forward toward the white sheet, Sophie bent down, placed both hands against the sheet, and held them there for a few long seconds to let the paint from her handprints soak in nicely. She hummed to herself as she waited, then gave her hands one last firm press against the sheet before lifting them to see... beautiful. Two nice, brown hand prints. There was one spot at the bottom of her left hand print that was especially goopy, so she swiped a fingertip into the paint and used that to lightly write Sophie Brown below her hand prints.
Perrrrfection.

Good, their team leader was going first. It seemed appropriate. Tiara wanted to go put her own mark on the blank canvas, and she scooted right up next to the Prefect. "A good fight today," she said jovially to the girl.
Was all the paint dry on her clothing? ..no, there was still a fresh blob right above her knee, and it was bronze, so perfect. She smeared the fresh color onto her hands, rubbing them together for maximum paint coverage. Then slowly, deliberately, she placed her mark upon the sheet, her prints slightly bigger than Sophie's. The professor wiped her hands off on the grass, then pointed her wand at her left hand and said, "Pingo blue," causing a small blob to form. Her finger dipped into the little pool of color before tracing out TIARA TANNER under her previous work.
Beautiful.
