Phase 3 Quote:
Keeping her eyes far away from the bridge and doing some deep breathing to calm her nerves, Lux was happy that AJ hadn't gone with the jumping idea because no way was that happening. "Exactly my thoughts on the matter. " Duplication was definitely the simplest and most logical idea in her opinion. Ready to get this over with, she was slightly startled to hear the Professor's voice. Break time? That sounded amazing. As the breeze formed, Lux closed her eyes and sighed happily. This was almost making her forget about the bridge...until AJ asked if they should keep moving. "I think we should keep at it but be careful. How about if you do the duplicating and I keep the area lit until the darkness disappears?" That way they could get across while still being able to see and she wouldn't have to look down. Feeling proud of herself for the idea, Lux looked into her pocket to see what was inside. Squinting, she saw it was some sort of bottle. "Maybe it's to help with bug bites." Because if so she would be quite happy. |
Phase 2 SPOILER!!: Puck and Norah! As Kace suggested Immobulus, he noticed it didn't work because you needed to do it separately with each bug. Wooopsss well at least he tried. I mean he was patting Norah on the back for the hard work. "Good job Norah.." he smiled down on her. Then he noticed Puck was casting Oppungo and Norah casted Avis. I mean look at them go! He was impressed and they seemed to get the job done. I mean now the bugs were gone. He sighed with relief and now onto the second phase. He moved with his group and noticed there was humidity and they must be near a water source. He turned around and noticed they were! He thought of an idea on how to make a cup. He had no idea who because he didn't have a lesson to make like vines and trees into objects. He saw Puck take on the snake and bloody merlin that was a close one! His heart was beating not gonna lie. "Blimey Puck...that was a close one.." he said. He was dying of thirst and he noticed there were piranhas in the water. He wondered how he could get rid of them.... When he was coming up with ideas, he heard Professor Bellaire that they had break time. Thank Merlin. He was sweating and he needed time to think. But then once he was relaxing, he noticed he could use the Vainishing spell on the fish. "What do you guys think of using the Vainishing spell on the fish to get the water?" he asked. |
#5 phase 2... moving into phase 3. SPOILER!!: Grrroouuuuuuppppp! It was rather funny, Maggie, Maggie looking scary. She WAS scary, kinda, but not because she was pointing her wand at him, and not because she was taller than him at the minute. He continued to grin.... or at least, he did until she kicked him in the shin. "Ow!" he exclaimed, before his features softened again and he was laughing. Was that the best she had? His eyes were still on her as she summoned a piranha. THAT was a genius move and it made got him grinning to hear her squeal. Karma? Zeke would have been content to lie there a little longer, even if the earth was wet and hot and... moving? ... ew, but he didn't have to. "Thanks," he said as he accepted Hady's hand and pushed himself up with his other. Covered in dirt, that was him. Supposing a drink of water wouldn't be too bad, Zeke cast an eye around for something to transfigure - because he doubted Bellaire would appreciate him drinking from his wand, booooooo. Deciding to take a closer look at the piranhas, Zeke squat down near the ponds edge and waited for one to come close enough, just as Brooklyn had. Then, when the timing was right, tap tap "Vera Verto." Though apparently not. "Vera Verto," he said again as he tapped the piranha once more. By this point he was sure it was ready to jump out the water and have at his wand, OR his face. Sigh. "VERA VERTO," he repeated more forcefully this time, his intent crystal clear incase his wand didn't know. This time he was more successful. The piranha was indeed a cup, and his hand quickly dove into the water to scoop it out before it sank. The only thing was... hit cup had gills. Whoops? OH WELL. Scooping out some water, Zeke took a sip... and another... and another... and then some more. He was in fact more thirsty than he thought. "Let's keep going, we're wasting time," he called over his shoulder, but he continued walking ahead regardless of if they were ready or not. The deeper into the forest they got, the more difficult it was to breathe - or at least, that was his observation. The air was simply too hot and wet for his lungs to function comfortably. But a remarkable thing happened, his lungs started to adapt, or ask he thought until they stepped out into a clearing, a rickety old bridge separating them from the other side. THE OTHER SIDE. Awesome! If he ran over it super fast, he'd make it, right? |
Phase 2 + break Quote:
Thank Merlin that the birds were eating up the bugs as if they were let out onto a buffet. Not that the Slytherin had stopped to enjoy the sight. Dude was outta there because he wasn't gonna stay back and let the bugs get to him. Had to save his own behind and all. And Mikey's to. Jeez, was it him or was it getting hot in here? And it wasn't even because he was hot, it was getting HOT. Beads of sweat were forming on his forehead and he was starting to feel tired and lethargic. Dude almost wanted to take off some layers just so that he could feel a bit cooler but something told him that Bellaire didn't want to see his torso. Shame, really, his abs weren't bad to look at. HOLY FREAKING MERLIN MICHAEL TOUSSAINT ARE YOU TRYING TO GET US KILLED?! Bloody Gryffindors. Though, admittedly, the boy wanted some water as well but JUMPED when the piranha flew out of the freaking water. Grayson practically had to grab his collar and pull him back away from the water. "I.......... I think so," he said in a hoarse voice. Dehydrated and all. "Dude, we have to change it to something else so that it doesn't bite our heads off. Something less vicious and all. Something like--" ................. Break time. Which meant that the heat disappeared, the piranha hung in mid-air and night time was about. Thank Merlin, man. Grayson took a gulp and shot Mikey a relieved look. "Glad to have a break from the madness." But they should come up with a strategy, mkay? Dude wasn't gonna lose his head for this madness. |
Phase 4 + Break It seemed that the two distracters and two restrainers idea had gone out the window as Benny shot her stunned spider with a particularly clever spell. A good offense was the best defense anyways right? She was somewhat envious that she hadn't thought of it first though..... "Nice shot Benny!" It looked like things would go well..........until there were more spiders!? "That's not good......" She said as she watched Henric attempt to launch another spider. Benny and Adi had the first one under control and the severally agitated and semi staggered creature head for her best friend was far more concerning to her. She ran for him, getting ready to stun the big fuzzy beasty ,when Henric shouted a stunning spell at it. Good choice, she had to admit............but ultimately it was the professor herself that stopped the creatures. She stopped right next to Henric as everything paused and changed. Break time? That was.............very unexpected. The cool breeze felt amazing and the 'night' was beautiful. She breathed in the cool and looked up at the starry sky. 'Constant vigilance', though all she wanted to do was sit and look up at the stars. She was more tired than she realized but she still looked to her friends , checking on them. Adi was anointing himself with the murtlap essence in their pockets. "Should we keep moving while they are frozen?" She was pretty certain that the creatures would not disappear with 'night fall'. |
SPOILER!!: oh dear me! She was JUST as thirsty for fresh water as Norah, still shocked from the snake encounter Puck just stood there taking in the surroundings for dangers…d-d-d-“PIRANHA!” she yelled out and pointed and moved to run and pull Norah’s pretty little face away from the water’s edge just as she pulled herself away. Oh goodness. Thank goodness. Thank merlin. “Oh gosh I’m glad they didn’t get you Norah,” Puck sighed with relief. “But…the thing is, Piranha’s are vegetarians until they smell blood” Puck muttered as she had paid attention in the biology seminar classes she had taken over summer. “My brother made me take a muggle biology class,” she explained and shrugged her shoulder. “So we could try and siphon some of the water somehow?” She muttered and paced slowly back and forth. Ideas flitting through her brain as quickly as they ever could. “Okay, okay so we need a way to drink the water…and a way to collect it but…should we clean it first?” she muttered and thought about those days when she and her mother had gone camping…or well tried to live without magic for that year. “the water is probably riddled with parasites and I don’t want one of those,” Puck muttered…”and we don’t know if there’s something in the water that could hurt us…microbes and those kind of things” she muttered. Brandishing her wand she walked over to a nearby fallen tree. “Diffindo” Puck muttered as she moved her wand in a little square shape. Cutting off a section of the tree’s bark before twisting the loose bark into a cone shape before tracing her wand along the seam of the bark’s now touching edges. “Epoximise” she cast and quickly tested the edges of the bark cone. It worked. Good. “Okay, so this might sound weird but we’ll need a leaf to turn into a vest so that we don’t need to put our hands in the water…a critter to turn into a cup – the piranha’s could work…but that would mean an over abundance of cups” she shrugged….”but we also need sand, but that’s easy and near us…small rocks or pebbles, charcoal but I mean we can set something on fire and put it out or use the water we collect from the vest to put it out” Puck grinned. She had plans. See? “I was thinking instead of sticking our hands in the water we could” she grinned and quickly snapped a leaf off of the ground, “take leaves like these, a few of them so we could save water for later in the cup – and turn it to fabric or a vest that we simply dip into the water and let soak up some of the water and then squeeze it out over this” she explained, “a rudimentary water filtration system…and then we could make sure this area isn’t fully created with deathly little microbes.” She grinned. Giving the leaf a light tap she cast “Folium induant” and watched as the little leaf before her became a linen vest…very impractical but VERY prone to getting wet. “There, now I’ve got a water collection method” she grinned before again moving her wand in a line down the fabric. “Diffindo” she cast and split the vest in two pieces. Collecting a few rocks and placing them in a circle she placed the fabric and a few branches on the top of it. “Incendio” she cast and watched as the small amount of wood caught fire…”okay, so we can wait here for a bit for the fire to go out and look for other supplies before we keep going?” She offered as she sat next to the small fire. Still, grabbing the other bit of vest she simply dangled it just above the water, the edge of it barely touching the water’s edge but still, the fabric began to grow more and more wet while she sat there. “So we’re working on the charcoal, sand…is well, next to us basically?” She shrugged as she began to place sand, rocks, and little things into the cone she had created. Waiting was boring. Doing things, that was the fun part. |
Break - Post 7 SPOILER!!: Tobias Eden nodded over at Toby and let go of his haaaaand. "I think we'll be okay too...and I'm not sure if the dark will last forever..." and for forever, she meant the rest of the class. It was so odd. Eden was tired, but she wasn't sleepy tired, so the darkness just felt so...WEIRD. She searched her skin for bites--which she hadn't noticed before due to adrenaline, but she could SO feel them now...all over her legs.... "OH! That's bloody great!" she cried, taking his and then--"Wait...do you?" she didn't want to take it all. "I'll take half--and you can--oh--wait--" She felt her pocket and...pulled out her own. "OKAY. We both have our own. That's good." Because she was starting to itch them....hmm...she took a sniff and was about to drink it--because she was confused, obvi--when she stopped, the glass touching her lips. ...."We don't drink this, do we?" she sighed and rubbed her face. WAS CLASS ONLY LIKE AN HOUR LONG OR SO? THIS FELT LIKE FIVE MILLION HOURS ALREADY. Had they died yet? Spreading some of the essence on all of her leg bites, she moved onto her arms and sighed..."So....I guess we should...start walking soon again? I don't know if the night will let up....Bellaire probably wants us fumbling around in the dark to challenge us more, anyways--" she capped her essence and stood up, brushing off her skirt. Hmph. She held out her hand to help the Tobert up. |
Phase 2 Quote:
But his partner was right, they needed to change it into something else. "We could change it into a fluffy bunny or something like that." That sounded utterly ridiculous even to him. He needed a drink. This heat and dehydration were messing with him, he could not think clearly. And before he could say anything else stupid, the Professor called a break and Michael gladly flopped onto the ground. "Yeah but I have a feeling that it's not going to last long." So they needed to come up with a solution to the whole Piranha problem. He glanced over at the flesh eating fish hanging in mid-air and then down to the water. "What if we turn it into a water goblet? That way we get rid of the Piranha and can get a drink at the same time." There was only one problem with that. "But to do that we need to tap the damn thing with our wand three times before saying the incantation." And while he might be brave, he was not stupid. "How about you hold the Piranha Whitlock and I'll transfigure it into a water goblet." Hahaha. |
Phase 2?? Quote:
A fluffy bunny?! Grayson shot Mikey an incredulous look. It sounded better than being attacked by a piranha but jeez! Fluffy rabbit? Was Mikey thinking straight or what? Least he was kinda talking sense. "Yeah, you're right. Bellaire's not gonna go easy on us, that's for sure." Grayson didn't trust that at all. Something just told him that there were worse things coming. Wait. WAIT! HOLD THE FREAKING PHONE. "Vera Verto! Duuuuude, you freaking genius!" ................ Or not. "Are you telling me that you want me to risk my neck? Aren't you meant to be the brave, heroic Gryffindor here?" PSH. Like he was gonna risk his neck. Merlin! Clearly, the boy didn't know this seventh year well. Kinda. "I'm only gonna do it if you promise to do the spell fast enough. I'm not dying out here. I kinda have a party to go to sometime soon." See? He could be nice. And with that, Grayson moved closer towards the piranha with a lot or caution in his step. Reaching out, he held onto the beast by the side before glancing at Mikey. "You ready to go?" When was their break meant to end? Sometime soon or what? |
break, moving to Phase 3 SPOILER!!: Eden At first, Toby was going to insist that NO, EDEN should take the murtlap stuff. Not because he was trying to be noble or because it was the polite thing to do but because it was just a lot more natural to put other people first, whether they liked it or not. He'd just opened his mouth to protest that she, at least, should go first, but then Eden had discovered her OWN little bottle. Well. That was GOOD. He took his own little phial back and started dabbing little drops of the stuff on his itchiest bites. Luckily, what with long sleeves and trousers, he'd only managed to cop the worst of it on his neck, face and hands. Didn't even need the full bottle before the itching was relieved and soothed. Aaahhhhh, sooOOOO MUCH BETTER. Eden was talking by the time he'd stoppered the phial and put the rest of the essence of murtlap back in his pocket. "Yeah, I think you're right." Ten minutes had likely passed, or close to it. "Break's probably over, and we still don't know how many more obstacles there are." It was nerve-wracking, in an exciting sort of way. Toby's initial shock from the start of class had passed and, as Toby was pretty convinced that the class wouldn't require a patronus effort from him, he wasn't too worried about what was in store. He took Eden's hand and stood up as well. "Right then... onward!" the Hufflepuff said enthusiastically, briefly raising their linked hands like they were WINNERS, before letting go again and moving onwards through the trees. It wasn't terribly long before they came to a bridge, which instantly made Toby marvel because he kept forgetting and then remembering again that they were still TECHNICALLY inside. Man. Magic. "I reckon it's definitely this way." Because... it seemed like an important Plot Point. Toby started to cross but then... ... "... Oh." Huge gap in the bridge. Nearly went through. Could'a died. NBD. "I think I know what the next obstacle is." |
Phase 2 cont./break SPOILER!!: Kace and Puck Her hazel eyes widened as she listened to Puck describe aaalll the things they had to do. Aaaaand she was lost. "Wait...we do what with the pebbles?" Hold up. A VEST? She bit her lip as she watched. "Why can't we just..." do something faster? Not that she could think of anything faster, but y'know. There needed to be something. This fourth year was gonna PASS OUT. Not that she really knew what passing out felt like, but her head was nooot feeling normal. Thanks, humidity. Something Puck had said stuck in the back of her mind, though. Turning critters into cups....huh. At this rate Norah really didn't care about microbes or whatever had been mentioned because water was the number one thing on her mind. "Waaaait. If we make cups out of animals can't we just use aguamenti and not have to clean the water at all?" HOW had she not thought of that before. She used that charm all the time in potions, it only made sense. But first she needed an animal to turn into a cup. Squinting in the fading light, she crawled around the circumference of the pond before finally coming across a toad. EUREKA! She could've kissed it's lumpy bumpy skin but then SHE'D turn into a toad, and no matter how good Kace and Puck were at this stuff she wasn't sure they'd be able to transfigure her back. Pointing her wand at it, she cast, "Vera Verto!" The resulting cup wasn't crystal clear or anything, and was pretty much still the murky green color of the toad, but y'know WHAT who cared not her okay carrying on. "Aguamenti!" The funny looking cup filled to the brim with clear water and she set right to pouring it down her throat. Aaaand repeat. "Aguamenti!" Drinkdrinkdrink. "Aguamenti!" Now that she was finally hydrated after 85 million years, she flopped on her back right as Professor Bellaire announced the break. But it was NIGHT time now. How were they supposed to do this whole entire thing in the dark? Man. Maybe she could just sit here with her water for ever and ever. Instead, Norah pushed herself to her feet and bounced from foot to foot. They had to DO this thing. "C'mon c'mon c'mon! We've gotta keep going." |
Look who's back (Phase one post one) Okay. Ophelia could totally do this. She was strong, and had some kid of a working brain, even if it wasn't up to most standards. And the girl had survival instincts. That was the one thing she had going for her in life. How to solve muggle math problems? Absolutely no clue. Knowledge on how to survive some weird even that would likely never even happen. That was what the blonde was MADE for. So this, this might be right up her ally. Or something of that nature. Okay, well she wasn't likely to die, as the sign rather DRAMATICALLY adhered to, thank you very much. Stepping under the canopy, the thirteen year old was greeted with buzzing noises. Very aggressive buzzing noises. Where did these insects get their protein from, Godzilla? No matter. Because the third year was currently getting attacked, and waving her arms in front of her face wasn't doing her a bit of good. They weren't leaving, were they? This was why the kid didn't like this class. Normally mosquitoes and such were just nuisances that were swatted away and forgotten about until she complained about her arms itching, but knowing about Hogwarts, they were probably way more than that. They were probably trained to kill or something. If only she paid more attention in class these last few years anyway. Maybe the third year wouldn't be struck so dumb by these annoying insects that seriously needed to GO. The little blonde might actually have a plan and not look like such a big idiot. Also, the bug bites she got from this -if any- were going to completely SUCK. Pun totally intended. She needed a spell. A simple spell. Something to get her through this phase and onto the next one. Thinking was hard when swarms were coming at you! Uggh. Okay, there had to be something. Ophelia just had to focus. Focus in on the task at hand and work out what she needed to do. Keep letting herself go further and further on the same thought. Okay, bugs. What repelled bugs. BESIDES BUG SPRAY, YOU DOPE? Birds. Birds ate bugs, right? They were like the bugs natural predators or something. She was outside in nature enough to learn that. Okay, so what was the spell for birds? Oh crap. She might be here a while while she thought. |
Phase #2 + break Text Cut: Three Snakes and a Lion "STOP LAUGHING!" This was not funny. Seriously. Her hair. DID HE SEE HER HAIR?? Which was now wet thanks to him. On top of slowly starting to get frizzy due to the humidity. Like, how DARE he not take her seriously?!?!? She was going to...going to.....okay, not do anything right now because of the whole piranha issue - also them being in class you know - but LATER. He was going to HAVE TO WATCH HIS BACK from now on. The glare she sent his way clearly suggested all those things. Stupid Gryffindor! But for now, at least that piranha hadn't hit her in the face. And when she turned around to look for it, it was right around the time Professor Bellaire's voice could be heard. Which in turn meant that when she did find the piranha on the ground it was completely still. Not entirely sure if they HAD to take a break, Maggie bent down to the piranha and quickly tapped it with her wand three times. "Vera Verto." It wasn't cheating right? Now she could fill it with water. With her own water though. From her wand. Because she still didn't QUITE trust that pond-water. Even if the piranhas were frozen for the time being. Putting some of that cream she'd just found in her pocket on a mosquito sting on her neck, Maggie watched Zeke....walk off. "We're supposed to-" Okay, actually, never mind. He was none of her concern, so Maggie just shrugged, rolled her eyes and continued applying that itch-relieving essence. Again, stupid Gryffindor. |
#6 break... because apparently that's a thing that I missed. And so it got dark? Like DARK dark. BLACK dark... Zeke stood, processing. But he didn't want to take a break! He wanted to DO things... but preferably with charms, those were better, MUCH better. Deciding he couldn't very well run and jump a broken bridge in the dark, Zeke sat himself down and scratched at his itches. But apparently they had essence of Murtlap... how? ... Zeke patted his pockets down, and sure enough, there was. He applied some to the bites on his neck, but quickly grew bored. He REALLLLYYY wanted to use lumos so he could see and do things, but considering the Professor had said something about constant vigilance he didn't want to draw attention to himself. Nope. Instead, he felt around on the ground around him, searching for a rock... because he REALLY wanted a dragon companion. |
Still phase 2 + break Quote:
PFFFT...Michael was so not jealous of Grayson Whitlock and he gave the Slytherin a look. "You can have your pretty looks Whitlock, I'll stick with being ruggedly handsome." BWAHAHAHA!! He choked back on his laugh at the look Grayson was giving him. Okay, okay yeah it was a dumb thing to say, the guy didn't need to remind him of it. The heat did weird things to people okay? And Michael was about to tell the Slytherin that too when he all of a sudden changed his tune and was now calling Mikey a genius. About time he realised that. Grayson's obvious reluctance to hold the piranha was not unexpected. Only an idiot would do it.... ...and Grayson Whitlock apparently. Oh this was gonna be so good. Michael got slowly to his feet and took a step closer to his partner and the piranha. "I'm ready." Could Bellaire call the break off now? |
Phase 2-3 & Break SPOILER!!: Team Snake/Lion Once Zeke was up on his feet Hady dropped her hold on his hand cause we you know he was alright and stuff. Quietly sipping her drink since he seemed content with making his own goblet she searched the area to get a better idea of what was around them. Other then the pond, trees, and dirt it wasn't all that much for the moment. And then was the announcement about it being 'Break Time'? Seriously? With a slight look of confusion on her face and a glance over her shoulder to see if the others were coming as well she wandered after Zeke as the sky suddenly grew very very dark making it near impossible to keep going without some light. Not to fussed about the itchy bug bites Hady lowered herself down to sit on the ground beneath a tree. Everything being frozen meant they were safe for the moment but that didn't keep the third year from continuously looking around her as the minutes ticked by. At least it was cool out for the moment and stars were quite nice. To bad she wasn't able to just lay there looking at the stars for a bit. |
Phase 4 Continued/ Break - with Adi, Henric and Ilia One minute they were all shooting various spells at the spiders and thankfully getting the attacked ones to move back. The next...the creatures were all frozen in place, even the ones Benny believed no one of the four of them had managed to stun as of yet. Had he missed something? Had someo- Oh...Bellaire was being nice and giving them a break to regroup. So nice of her. Murtlap essence...Benny turned to Adi as he heard the exclaimation. That's when he noticed his own lump in his pocket, the sixth year reaching inside to find his own sample. Watching his friend he remembered the usefulness of the stuff, adding some to his arms that had grown itchy. Must have gotten stung and been too busy moving on to notice right away. Putting the bottle away, the Gryffindor took in the frozen scene. Now onto the next move before the given 10 minutes were up. "Think its cheating if we tie them up while they aren't moving." Seemed like a good a time as any to do what was originally planned. "Incarcerous!" he aimed and shot at the nearest spider, wrapping it up in conjured rope. Nah...he didn't think so. |
finishing up Phase 4- Benny, Henric and Ilia! <3 Feeling at peace with the world despite the weirdness of everything frozen and the 'night' appearance of the forest, Adi kept looking all around them. He wouldn't put it past Bellaire for throwing some other obstacle their way to keep them on their toes. But he could see nothing. He turned his attention back to Ilia and Benny when they spoke. Keep moving and tie the spiders up? IT SOUNDED LIKE A PLAN! Adi nodded at them both. "Yeah, let's do that!'' It would for out in their favour for two reasons: 1. They wouldn't have to keep attacking the spider and possibly harming it and 2. There would be no chance of the spider eating them... though he was sure Bellaire would not allow that. "Incarcerous!'' The Hufflepuff cast the spell, ropes from his pointed wand joining Benny's. His ropes secured the spider's many legs. There would be no more scuttling around for you now, giant arachnid. |
Stage 4..finishing...Time for the last showdown! *Benny,Adi amd llia* Henric nodded at llia,"Yeah, I think we should move on but what we're going to do with those spiders?" he asked, pointing with his thumb over his shoulder. Good thing he wasn't afraid of giant eating spiders or he wouldn't go near that thing...on a second thought, he still wouldn't. Urghh...those fangs were enough to give him the dreaded chills. He saw that they already applied the Murtlap Essence onto their bodies. Henric rolled up his sleeves and apply some of it too. Nice...a cooling sensation was felt throughout the length of his arm. He should save it for later, he thought. Benny had a great idea, they should tie up the beasts while they were still frozen in that state! Henric didn't need to hear twice to get to business. Sorry...mates...time to put your leash to the ground. He pointed and aimed the wand at it,"INCARCEROUS" he recited. Once done, off they went to find Professor Bellaire! Perhaps she was right, it was best to stay vigilant especially at night. You never quite know what lurks behind the shadows. Soon they came across a big cliff that was hard to go around it, what should they do? They couldn't possibly fly up there unless they brought along their broomsticks. Hmm...maybe he should try climbing it but he didn't think he could make it that far. What if he slipped and fall, poof...no more Henric..goodbye world. Any better ideas,Henric? "So...how do we get up there?" Henric asked. |
Thundering Trio<3 SPOILER!!: GoldenSnake EEEEEEEK! What was wrong with these crazy wizards? If her mother knew what they thought education should be she'd be at the school down the street from her house with all the other kids on her street. First bugs and then vicious man eating fish? She was 11 how was she not supposed to be forever traumatized? If she even survived this.... She questioned just leaving the class.. but she was on a team and she wasn't sure that they knew what was going on either. What if she left like a wimp and they died? "Umm piranhas like meat right? So anyone got food in their bag?" She looked pointedly at Zander. He looked like a snacker. He probably had something in his bag that could be tossed at the fish. She was running low on ideas. |
SPOILER!!: Norah <3 Puck grinned over to Norah. “Nice one” she grinned and immediately covered the smoking fire with the wet clothe putting it out. Yep. No use for this anymore because of Norah’s geniousness. Puck glanced around herself and smirked at a little toad that was about to jump into the water. “Immobulus” she cast and watched as the toad stopped in motion. Proceeding to tap the toad three times she cast “vera verto!” and watched as the toad shifted, twisted and shook as it transformed into a cup. Grinning she just raised her wand and cast “locomotor cup” and raised it up twisted her wand and moved it around watching as it dipped below the surface and yeah. Water. It worked. Taking a sip of the water she just grinned. “So…you guys ready to head on?” She asked before taking another sip of her cup. |
Phase 3 - Post something SPOILER!!: Tobert Eden couldn't remember anything about a break. But that was probably due to her thirsty state before. She helped the Hufflepuff to his feet, though, and they were swiftly on their way! What an adventure! And nothing was too terrible yet! Eden only almost died once! She followed behind Toby as he stepped onto the rickety...completely and TOTALLY stable She was thinking...ugh... She wished she had problem solving skills right now. "...I'm sorry I'm such a bad partner, Toby...." she whispered. She was feeling...pretty mediocre right now. Less than mediocre, actually.. |
Wrapping up phase 3 SPOILER!!: Lux Looks like she had been right in assuming that Lux had an issue with heights. AJ squeezed her friends hand. "I'll get us over this obstacle." Forgetting that this was a race and forgetting that she wanted to be first; AJ gathered her thoughts on how to best help a friend. "I'll fix it to where you don't even have to look down." Hopefully. No need to let Lux know that she wasn't 100% confident on how she was going to handle the situation. "Great." If Lux was in agreement it must mean that she had come up with the perfect plan. All she had to do was put it into action. "Sounds good to me." AJ waited for her friend to give them some light, and she got straight to work. This would give them an advantage over the others. They didn't need to take a full out break. They weren't seventy. "Gemino." No extra boards were produced. Good grief. She was trying to keep her partners spirits lifted and she couldn't get the freaking spell to work. "Gemino!" Better. Much better. The lion repeated the spell over and over until all of the missing spots had boards. Help with the bug bites? AJ eagerly started to apply some all of her itching spots. "I think you are right." Instantly she was feeling better, and this just gave her an extra burst of energy. Holding out of her for Lux to take AJ egged her on. "All you have to do is walk straight and don't look down. Just picture yourself walking through the jungle like normal." AJ gave her an encouraging smile. "I'll lead you over to safety." |
Finishing Phase 3 Quote:
As she shined the light so that AJ could see, Lux watched as progress was made without looking at anything besides the pieces of wood. Yes, this was much better. Heights weren't her biggest fear, but they could be VERY problematic. Quigley's last class had NOT helped either; being launched into the air like a rocket wasn't good for anyone. Soon enough all the boards were laid across. It was now or never. Partly to stall heading across and partly because it seemed to work, Lux began applying the solution to her bites. Aaaaah, much better. "Thank goodness for Essence of Murtlap." Always worked like a charm. Poor muggles who had to suffer through bug bites without it. Placing the empty bottlle back in her pocket, Lux figured that it was about time to move ahead. Even though she didn't want to cross the bridge, this was a race and she needed to. She had made it across the ropes with Bay and Sander back in Second Year, and she could make it across this bridge with AJ. Nodding, she took a few more breaths to steel herself before setting foot on the bridge. The desire to close her eyes came upon her, so she shut them tight. Lux was not looking where she was going, but as she was moving in a straight line it was okay. One foot in front of another, she slowly made it across the bridge. |
Phase I He'd made it a certain way into the Transfigured jungle when a bird overhead had seemed aim right for him. It pooped and he prepared to be disgusted, however it was not the usual discharge. A small rolled up little scroll bearing instructions and a list of trials they were meant to answer to. Never hurt to know what was coming. His smile was something more of a smirk as he had known this was intentional on Bellaire's behalf. Some students were still shocked by it years later. But this was her nature. Make it hard. Make it real. No one will coddle you when you leave these walls. He appreciated it every time. Maybe he could marry into the Bellaire family. H'mm... That thought was interrupted by an aggressive and very loud buzzing. Cutty rolled up his scroll and gripped the hilt of his rapier-like wand to his hand. He'd know that sound anywhere said five straight summers in Egypt. He aimed his wand at a diagonal to the ceiling and fired, "Avis!". Before he could spot the locusts, the birds gave them away by doing battle with them mid sky. But for the roar that was the swarm, he knew he'd need more. "Avis! Avis!" He casted again, moving from beyond the shade of the Banyan. The swarm drew closer and he could feel some of their microbodies landing on his arms and bothering him around his face. He used the spell he'd mastered to duplicate the business cards he'd had made for the hustle and fired it off at two to three birds. "Geminio." Yup. Time to run. |
