Phase 2 ending Angel now knew what she had to do and she decided that she would do it everyway. "Okay lets do this." Angel smiled to herself as she watched as the Piranhas started to leap in and out of the water, she went for one but missed it and nearly knocked another one... it would have been really bad if that had happened. Angel managed to knock one out of the water and she decided to give it another guy and then she suddenly managed to get one of the Piranhas out of the water now to turn it into the goblin. "Vera Verto!!!!" Angel tapped the Piranhas three times and watched as it turned into a goblet... Angel then had to add the water. "Aguamenti," Angel watched as the goblet filled up. She then drank the water and smiled as she realised that she was now going onto the next faze... she really hoped that nothing else would go as bad as the first two but she had a feeling that it was just going to get worse. |
Phase 4! Quote:
Was Toby okay?! Eden saw the spider--she did--it was VERY BIG. Eden flailed a little as Toby started pulling her away--"TOBY--Toby--we can try to freeze it! Toby--stop--we have to figure this out--" she wasn't impatient or frustrated or anything. She just wanted to make sure he didn't panic. "It won't hurt us--Bellaire won't really let us die--TOBY, I WON'T LET YOU DIE--I PROMISE--" she was yelling now. And her face was turning red. She yanked him and stopped running, letting go of his hand-- She knew this was a Transfiguration class--but she was thinking of all the spells that could help and stuff--ugh--"GLACIUS--" she was like...REALLY HARDCORE TRYING TO FREEZE THE THING. |
Phase 5 SPOILER!!: Lux Was her partner actually warming up to the idea of flying? It seemed like Lux was mulling it over, and if possible AJ was getting more and more excited with each passing minute. Especially since it looked like she wouldn't be stuck on this cliff until Bellaire decided to end the lesson. Because AJ had decided that no student would be left behind. Okay, maybe that was a little far. A better saying was that Lux would not be left behind. She was the only one she was worried about at the moment. Everybody could stay back so they could be the clear winners. "You will?" she asked in a half screech. "Oh, Lux. You are SO brave and thank you, thank you, thank you." The brunette was really looking forward to this. She had really enjoyed herself when they had the same sort of opportunity in Charms class. Hogwarts was so much fun this year. Why couldn't it always be this way? Lux wanted to use a blindfold. Okay. That was easy and AJ was not in any place to not help her become as comfortable as possible. They were in a jungle and there just wasn't anything around that they could use as a makeshift blindfold. If AJ could get a big enough leaf that may do the trick. How was she going to get it to stay though? Her muggle instincts were kicking in. AJ had on a pretty big and long shirt, and she had no problem ripping it for the greater good. Tugging roughly on the bottom of her shirt, the fourth year ripped off a big enough piece that could be folded easily around her eyes. "You shouldn't be able to see anything through that," she said as she handed the material over. "Now, to turn that rock into a dragon. Would you like to do the honors?" Because flying was enough for AJ. This way Lux wouldn't have to be completely left out, and she was still sort of following her original plan. Minus, the whole actually having to fly thing, but that was minor... in AJ's eyes. Probably not so much in Lux's. |
Phase 5 Quote:
"...I think I'm going to be sick." Deeeeeeep breaths. Lots of deep breaths. Slowly the nauseated feeling passed though she was still terrified. Get it together, Lux. Be one with your Gryffindor side. You can do this. Somehow she felt that this was NOT going to help with her fear of heights, but then did it really even count for much if she was going to be blindfolded? Probably not. But then what did it really matter if she didn't have a bit of cloth to use? Maybe she could find a giant leaf and transfigure it? Professor Bellaire might give her props for improvising, but that wasn't really important to her. Wide eyed, she watched as AJ ripped off a piece of her shirt. "Thank you! I'll repair it as soon as I can." So there was no way that her shirt would remain ruined. Her partner was so thoughtful. With a small smile, Lux pocketed the blindfold. Maybe she was still terrified, but at least she wouldn't have to see where they were going and that was a small comfort. "Yeah, sure! I've had practice making dragons, so I should be able to do this no problem." She was Khaleesi and Mother of Dragons after all. A real life Daenerys Targaryen. Raising her wand, she was about to perform the spell on the rock when a sudden thought hit her. "Wait, we need a bigger dragon if it is supposed to carry the both of us..." Pausing mid-thought, she scanned around for something more substantial. "Aha!" Look at that big chunk of rock just lying near the cliff face. "I don't know how I missed that, it's perfect!" Using her wand, Lux slashed towards the target. "Draconifors!" Eager despite the situation, she watched the big rock transform into a large dragon. Eeeeep! Maybe it wasn't as big as Dani's babies but still. "I guess there is nothing else to do besides ride cross." Be brave, Lux. Be brave. |
Phase #3 Text Cut: Three Snakes and a Lion WALK on the ropes? Now that was just dumb. What if they fell? Also somehow Maggie HIGHLY doubted the rest of her group were good at keeping their balance. Unlike herself, you know. So as a reaction to Brooklyn's suggestion Maggie just rolled her eyes and snorted softly. Although she tried to disguise it as getting a bug off her face. They were doing the whole team thing after all. Standing next to a cliff was NOT the right moment to antagonize someone else. Not if you valued your life. So Maggie nodded when Hady suggested the duplicating spell and watched when the other girl performed it. Good. It seemed to be working. So naturally she just followed the others. Zeke (WHAT WAS THAT LOOK? HMM???) and Hady were filling in the blanks - literally - so all Maggie could do was walk on the bridge. Ah yes. This felt right. They were repairing the bridge for her. She was tempted to wave like The Queen but didn't. Her smile was very proud though. As was her way of walking. |
Quote:
Don't get his knockers in a twist? SNORT. Grayson didn't comment because, you know, he was too busy trying to not have a piranha eat him alive. Merlin, those things were scary, especially with the way it was snapping at him. Nothing stopped the boy from letting out jumping and letting out a small yelp of surprise. When the piranha had been turned into a water goblet, the boy let out a sigh of relief and said, "Merlin, that was terrifying. Looks like I'm not gonna adopt a piranha anytime soon." Or ever. Just no. "Thanks, man! Kudos to you for doing the spell without letting us get eaten alive." And he got to take the first sip? FREAKING YES! THAT was what he was talking about. "That's incredibly nice of you, you know." And with that, he headed over towards the pond, scooped up some water and took a nice long sip. Ahhhhh! After the parchness of his through, that felt incredible, man. "Your turn. Enjoy!" he said, holding out the cup to Mikey. |
Phase 5 (and we have a DRAGON!) SPOILER!!: Lux "Deep breaths, deep breaths. In through your nose and out through your mouth." She heard that sort of thing was helpful. AJ didn't really have any experience with needing to calm down. At least not in the way that Lux did. Over excitement she knew, anxiety.... errr, not so much. Please don't puke. Being grossed out wasn't the issue. AJ was more thinking along the lines of Lux not going if she blew chunks, and that was something she wanted to avoid at all costs. How sweet. "No need to really." It was a nice gesture, but AJ wasn't going to lose any sleep over her shirt. But, if it was going to make her feel better about it then she was all for it. Her sole mission right now was to keep Lux happy and moving. "I have total faith in you." AJ could have transfigured the rock into a dragon too, but she was sure that Lux would get it done quicker, and AJ was ready to be in the air. It was happening. Lux's wand was in the air. EEP. But, she stopped. Why did she stop? The anticipation was killing her. She was likely to fall over any minute now. "Oh yeah. Good catch." Both of them were pretty small, but she would hate for something to malfunction while they were flying. Lux would most likely die for real. "Perfect dragon making rock." Now it was happening. One minute a rock, and the next a beautiful dragon. AJ's thoughts once more went to Benny and Adi. They were probably loving this part of the obstacle course and she would bet anything that Adi was the one who did the spellwork. "Mighty fine dragon you transfigured there." Lux had done beautiful work. Patience were not her thing, and before even thinking about anything AJ climbed on to the dragon. This was the moment of truth. AJ held out her hand for Lux to take so she could help her up. "Just think... this is all almost over." |
Phase 2 SPOILER!!: Thundering Trio Zander gave Amanda a confused look. What was that thermos thing about? Of course that'd be a great idea, but Bellaire had said no muggling their way out of this and... She probably wouldn't be too pleased. So the Gryffindor just gave her a small, sad shake of the head. If only, kid. That'd be great. And then she was begging for a chocolate frog and hadn't Zander just said these were his last ones?! Merlin. But the puppy dog eyes and FINE. But only because he loved crups and had one of his own. "Here, but if it's got a Rowena Ravenclaw, I'd need the card back." Or a Merlin card, those were a rarity. Uh..... Okay. What was with his teammates and the weird ideas? Zander nodded along with whatever Natalia was going on about. But then suddenly gave her a look of sheer brilliance when she reminded him that Piranhas ARE fish. "They ARE. Nat, that's brilliant!" Something suddenly came over him and he all had his hands on her shoulders, grinning ear to ear. "They can't GET us! The need water! We could just leave and-- Wait, no. I need water too." Hmph. He was thirsty. That was their problem. He couldn't go on without drinking. Holy Merlin. He had an idea. "WAIT! There's this spell! It turns animals into goblets.... Erm... Something Verto? Um.. Uh..." Did Nat know it, did she-- "VERA VERTO???" And then break time was over and the fish were going full swing again. "What if we turned them into water goblets so that we could scoop up some water?" See, he could be smart too sometimes. |
Phase 5 Quote:
Biting her lip, Lux petted the dragon's head as AJ climbed on its back. It was obvious that her partner was more than eager to get started. Maybe if AJ had worked with Adi and Benny they would have been back with Bellaire by now. Lux would have spent the rest of the lesson with her feet on solid ground; making her way back to the start would have been a much more appealing alternative. But as it was, she had a very supportive partner. A few more deeeep breaths, and she supposed that she was as ready as she'd ever be. Reaching into her pocket, Lux pulled out the makeshift blindfold. Not thinking straight, she proceeded to place it over her eyes, but suddenly stopped. That would be silly - how would she be able to climb on if she couldn't even see? An accident would be waiting to happen and she did not want to hurt herself. With a little difficulty, Lux got herself seated behind AJ. Now she could finally cover her eyes. Officially blind, she put her arms around her partner's waist and held on as tight as possible without causing any harm. "Okay, off we go!" Chop chop, dragon! She wanted to get this over with before she saw sense and jumped off. |
Phase 4 Quote:
Tobias was terrified of spiders. That was what all the no-ing was about. Mainly, anyway. Because then he heard Eden yell something about FREEZING the thing and it occurred to the Hufflepuff that they only way to get past this obstacle would be to... to... beat it. Overpower it. Hurt it? There would be no reasoning or clever tricks or really any time to think about what to do. But Glacius would HURT IT. Toby remembered when Soph got frozen in Potions class by accident last year and that had been a super traumatic experience for her aND WHAT IF THEY TRAUMATISED THE GIANT SCARY SPIDER THAT WAS TRYING TO EAT THEM. He was... sort of past panicking at this point, Eden's words about Bellaire didn't seem to be getting through. BUT IT WAS FINE, YEP. TOTALLY FINE. HAHAHAHAH. HE WAS LAUGHING, SEE? HAHAHAHAHAHA. Laughing and FORCING THE HAPPY. NOT thinking about how his first idea had been to run away and then to HURT the spider, NOT thinking about how he was, yet again, failing to help people. About he was making excuses? About how Dakest had been totally right about him? NOPE. THINKING HAPPY THOUGHTS. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA. And that was why, when Eden let go of his hand, the eighteen year old Proper Grown-Up immediately dove to the floor and curled up in a ball, in a hysterically 'laughing' mess. |
Phase V "Lumos." Cutty aimed the light spell up and out ahead of himself to light the way as it was still too dark to see much. How long had he been traveling further into the jungle? The trick of the sky made it more difficult to tell. "Flipnsnipwitit. Flipnsnipwitit." He continued to cut his way through the thicker parts. No path. But that made it feel all new. Or maybe the brush was magicked to automatically grow over any headway a wizard or witch would make. It grew thinner and thinner the overgrowth did as he drew further in. Or it seemed to him at least as he didn't have to use the trimming and pruning spell as much. Much light was leaking through and he found that he no longer has to keep casting the light spell. The sun must have risen again at some point. The pace of his walk began to pick up, and he could feel the terrain grow more rocky. Pumice maybe? Was he near a shoreline? Was there a shark challenge awaiting him in some lagoon? Bellaire would do that and he felt himself tear up. Not for feeling overwhelmed, but for the extreme happiness that meant he'd be able to really, really succeed with actual challenges. Just the thought, like...it just made him so happy. "Vipera evanesca." He said, altering the bodily form of a small tree snake into vapour before wiping a tear away. But that wasn't the sound of the shoreline. Cutty stopped very suddenly as he listened to the rocks and pebbles that his feet had kicked ahead of him seemed to have a suddenly very distant and echoey sound to them. Poking his head out of the brush he soon found out why. A cliff! And on the other side, Professor Bellaire just maxing and relaxing like it was the thing to do. "Revelio." He casted testing for any sort of illusions or hidden magicks. Nothing. He'd have his own means to get to the other side. He placed his foot on the loose rock beneath him. But first things first. "Tergeo. Tergeo." He said spot treating his shirt. This was Bellaire. She'd expect that their appearance be spotless regardless of fighting for their lives in any jungle. The leaves of the nearest tree was rustling again and Cutty looked up. He could make out a long furry tail and decided to take advantage of it. "Caught." He shouted up toward the creature who along with it's family began to make a ruckus at it's recent entrapment. Best work quickly. "Vera Verto." The monkey cup fell and bounced against this branch and then the other sending it on a somewhat unpredictable projectile of descent. It landed on the ground with a metallic sounding thump. Retrieving it, Cutty casted and filled the vessel with water. "Aguamenti." Right. Where was he, he dipped his hand into the water and cleaned off the dirt that had gotten onto his face from the ordeal. He ran his fingers through it and fixed his hair next and noticing some points at which the pruned plant life had nicked him he used the rest of the murtlap to fix those up. Checking for other places that might be less than presentable, he took to his trousers and gave them a few good castings. "Tergeo." And to his shoes. "Scourgify." He bent down and picked up the rock. "Draconifor." He slashed his wand from left to right and hit it with the spell and then took a step back. The rock began to take on curves and arches. Indentions here and there began to look less like pock marked stone surfaces and more like scales. Blue ones in fact. And as the dragon took shape Cutty stepped closer to it. He picked it up and held it like a bird for a moment before taking his wand to it. "Engorgio." And this time he casted the spell intending it to make the Swedish Short-snout a comfortable size for him. The magically made creature bent at the forelegs as might a trained elephant and lowered it's head. The senior snake boy climbed onto the beast and took off with it toward the engineer of this lesson now at last presentable. |
Phase 3 SPOILER!!: two snakes and a lion It seemed the whole agreement to work as a team had slipped Maggie’s mind. At least, Brooklyn hadn’t missed the snort, if not the eye roll that had nearly matched her own at her housemate’s obvious statement about the bridge. At least she’d tried to be subtle, as well as tried to come up with a solution to the problem. She hadn’t just waited for everyone else to tell her what to do. The small redhead had brushed the incident off as if it had been one of the flies that still seemed to want to bother her, though. She could be the better person. The more royal person. That and she could listen as Hady had agreed with her second idea, to duplicate the boards. Zeke had seemed like he’d agreed too, so at least some of them were a team. At this point, Brooklyn wasn’t sure she cared or not if Maggie kept up. Not when the whole adventure had been a lot of snorts and retaliation, although thankfully most of it hadn’t been toward her. Just the snort, which she hadn’t entirely forgotten. “Of course,” she’d said in response to Zeke’s gentlemanly idea to keep close. Plus, of course he’d offered to help Hady with the duplication. There hadn’t seemed like there was much need for her to be a third. There were only so many missing planks after all, but she kept her wand out. If she had to, she could cast the spell too, and if not, she’d be ready for whatever was waiting on the other side. |
end phase 3, moving into phase 4 SPOILER!!: 3 Lady Snakes The bridge was shaky so he DID hold on the rope rail thing as he made his way along with Hady, the two of them making good work of the bridge fixing. He'd left her to do most of it, since she was in front and doing well as a leader, he was simply content with having given it a go and having contributed to their survival of this task. How many of these things were there again? Zeke grinned as he leaped off of the last plank and onto solid ground, DONE! They'd made it. He turned back only to check to see if Brooklyn was okay, and Maggie too. "So now what?" he wondered out loud. The obvious was that they needed to keep walking, but he was eager to know what their next challenge would be - he was dying to make dragons. Amur would love it. |
Finishing Phase 3 SPOILER!!: 3 Snake & a Lion With Zeke moving forward onto the bridge and helping her out with the duplicate making spell things got done much faster. Not as fast as if others were also helping out but whatever really they were doing just fine and Hady's mind was fixated on just completing this task and moving onto the next. Whatever that might be.... "Geminio!," she repeated clearly yet again as she took several more slowly measured steps forward. Repeating this once or twice more seen Hady finished thanks to the help she'd gotten from Zeke. Giving him a small grin and a light pat on the shoulder she whispered a soft "thanks" when her feet finally touched solid ground on the other side of the bridge. It was nice knowing how well they could work together and without any fuss about it either. Stepping out of the way she scanned the area for a brief second before continuing to head forward. She wasn't sure what was to come next but there was only one way to find out. And that was to continue onwards! "We keep moving," Hady replied with a sideways glance and a small smirk at Zeke. |
GUys we gotta start wrapping up Sophia had to admit that she was pleasantly surprised by how well the students were handling themselves against the obstacles. She was expecting to jump in and 'save' someone at least once, but that was not the case. Clearly they weren't as hopeless as she had thought originally. Unfortunately their double session was drawing to a close and she didn't want to run into another professor's class hours. Pluuuuss....hse umm...had business to attend to. She sent her patronus out with another message. The griffin made it's rounds to all the students repeating the same message. "Class will be wrapping up in ten minutes. Hurry up or be graded on the stage you are." |
Aaaaaaahhhh. #phase 4 Text Cut: Three Snakes and a Lion It was like walking on the red carpet. Like they were MAKING the bridge just for her. Just like how the servants would put their coats over a puddle so the Queen's shoes wouldn't get wet. She'd seen that in a movie once. Yes. That was Magdalena Natalie Traulton right now. And the other three were her servants. Well. Zeke and Hady at least. Brooklyn wasn't really doing anything. Aaaaaand they had all made it across. HUZZAH! Turning to answer Zeke's question and give him a weird look, Maggie opened her mouth- Only to shriek instead and jump behind Brooklyn, using her as a shield. "SPIDERRRRRR!!!!" LIKE WHAT EVEN!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Mentally going through the list in her head in like half a second, Maggie finally pointed her wand at the spider (still trying to hide behind Brooklyn) and shouted, "Inflecto Telum!" There were supposed to be arrows. Where were her arrows? There was ONE single arrow. WHAAAAT????? |
meeep! phase 4!!!! SPOILER!!: Hady, Maggie and Bellaire! They keep moving. HA! Hady was hilarious, all sorts of hilarious, did she know? Zeke returned her smirk with a slight shake of the head and was about to make ways when the patronus appeared again and Professor Bellaire's voice could be heard throughout the rainforest. THE LESSON WAS ENDING?! Noooooooooooooooooooooooo! Where they ANYWHERE near the finish? He wasn't doing very well at keeping track, but surely they were nearly there. Composing himself swiftly, he really was going to start off at a quick pace only to pause in his tracks again... this time by a scream. A girly Maggie scream, of SPIDER. Spider? Turning on his heal, he saw what she was talking about and instinctively Zeke's wand shot toward the creature, but instead of uttering one of the numerous charms he had up his sleeve, he managed to recall something from his transfiguration study that might help. "Incarcerous!" he cried out as Maggie shot an arrow. A single arrow. His own spell resulted in a thick rope shooting out the end of his wand and binding some of the giant spiders legs together. There were eight of them, so it was kinda hard to miss. "Again!" he encouraged Maggie this time. Because YES, he was totally condoning attacking a creature when it was down. Giant spiders with many legs wouldn't stay tangled for long... he was sure of it. |
Phase 4 - SPIDER!!! SPOILER!!: 3 Snakes & a Lion Hady let out a slow breath as she realized everyone had made it across the bridge in one piece. That was the only way to get this done. No injuries. She was just about to move forward when the peacefulness was interrupted by a loud shriek. Maggie's of course. It took a second to register what it was her fellow snake had shouted but when it did Hady instinctively took a step backwards at the same time grabbing Zeke's arm (since he was beside her) and tugging him backwards with her. The other girls were safe being as they were already behind Zeke and herself so that was good. There was no time for fear or to mess up. Something needed to take place soon and she was semi surprised that Maggie was the first to react on this. Having no trouble with following the others lead she raised her slightly shaking hand and pointed her wand at the very large, very much real spider and stated clearly, "Inflecto Telum!" Nothing. Whoa what?! Blinking once, twice, Hady groaned inwardly. Get it together Hadleigh! With a deep intake of breath she tried again. "Inflecto Telum!" Several arrows shoot forth from her wand at the spider. Thank heavens! She couldn't choke, not now. It was just a spider....only a very large...hungry spider...It was probably much easier not to miss this time with Zeke's spell having come into play as well. Anyhow all that mattered was getting away from spider... |
Adi couldn't stop grinning at his team from a top his dragon which was tossing its head as though pleased with the job it had done. It had every right to be actually. It had done some magnificent flying. If the Puffer hadn't already had a human-dragon, he would have tried to convince Bellaire to let him keep this pretty creature but Benny was Dragon enough. Looky! Zhenya had made it! Woot! Adi waved back at her and flashed a thumbs up. Great job, Zhenya! He looked back at Bellaire as she conjured up a Patronus. He was a tad envious of persons who could do that. Ten minutes left! They had finished just in time then. |
Phase 4 still. lulz. SPOILER!!: Poor TOBY Eden was remaining calm. Toby was on the ground, laughing? Crying? Doing something Tobias-related--and Eden had frozen the spider solid....and she sighed. Her first instinct was to blast it, and KILL IT. But she thought Toby wouldn't be able to handle that. So. "Toby...hey, buddy..." she knelt down and touched his shoulder. "Hey...I froze it...and I think we can transfigure it into something else....that won't hurt us...or something...a goblet or...anything. I won't hurt it, okay? We can move onto the next part...because I don't think we're in the clear yet...come on, Toby...you can hold my hand, okay?" she took his hand gently and rubbed her thumb over his palm...soothingly. She didn't want to have to drag Toby through this. Also, the poor guy looked distressed, and Eden did NOT like that...nope... |
Still on phase #4 Text Cut: Three Snakes and a Lion THAT WAS GOOD THINKING THERE ZEKE! Not that she'd ever admit to that out loud. But you know, the THOUGHT was there. "Inflecto Telum!" Maggie yelled again and this time there was more than one arrow coming from her wand. GO HER! BAM! But the spider was still there and you know it was making her quite anxious and what if they turned and it was still alive and, "MAYBE WE SHOULD TRANSFIGURE IT INTO A WATER GOBLET??!??!?!?" Vera Verto, you know? YES??? NO???? |
All done!!! SPOILER!!: Lux There you go. Pet the nice dragon's head. If that calmed her down and made her feel more comfortable for their ride, then it was okay in her book. They were so close, and AJ would be feeling so much better once Lux was firmly planted on the dragon. Okay. She knew Lux was scared, but how exactly was she going to get up here with her vision impaired. It seemed like the hufflepuff realized her mistake and they were back on track. Annnnd Lux was on the dragon. AJ fist bumped into the air for good measure. Patiently waiting for Lux to get all set, AJ looked up at the sky and admired the view. Once she felt Lux hanging on to her she knew it go time, and if possible she smiled even wider. "You heard her dragon!!! Let's go!!!" What a smart little rock dragon it was too because they were officially in the air. Man, the breeze was wicked awesome on her face and it felt exceptionally good going through her hair. There would be absolutely no complaints from her if she was allowed to stay up here the entire time. All too soon they had made there way over to where Bellaire was seated. Lux hadn't passed on her, had she? AJ made extra sure to pay attention to the grip her partner kept on her. If she felt any slack, she would be concerned for her safety. "We made it safe and sound." Did she need a brown paper bag to breath into? AJ hopped down off of the dragon, and smiled at the others that were gathered there. They definitely hadn't been the first ones over, but it didn't matter to her anymore. She was just glad that her and Lux were able to accomplish this together. "Great going, partner." Together they had kicked this obstacle courses butt, and neither one of them gave up. This fourth year was proud! |
SPOILER!!: Norah & Kace Puck stumbled a bit as she heard the spell being uttered. “She’s dead.” She muttered as she tried to scour the jungle for any signs of Bellaire. “This…isn’t fair, I didn’t mean…he’s died,” she gulped and nearly crumbled right there until she looked at the fear in Norah’s eyes. She needed to do this for Norah. She was innocent. She hadn’t set any creatures into angry hunger mode…this was just an EVIL thing. “We can face it,” she told herself as she stood there trying to be as tall and confident as possible. “Diminuendo” she cast pointing her wand at the spider shrunk down in size which was a good thing. She did not want to deal with any more hungry spiders or half eaten friends…that would not be cool not at all…her own CoPrefect and friends were almost spider food last year. “We should stop it, you know…for good so no one else has to face it,” she muttered as she again raised her wand and pointed it at the slightly smaller still twitching spider. “Inflecto Telum” she cast, the smirk that sat on her face felt good, felt right as she watched the spider’s body fall over the arrow sticking from its corpse. “Done, it won’t hurt anyone else, c’mon lets get out of here before its friends come” she muttered and began to walk faster down the path past the spider’s corpse. She was walking so determinedly that when she spotted her sipping her drink and being fanned by a House elf she nearly ran…well, she did that is until she felt the ground was soft, almost crumbling. “Cliff, there’s a cliff.” She yelled out so her companions could hear and stood there glaring across the raving at Bellaire. “I want to make a dragon…” she grumbled as she knelt down and picked up a rock. “and then set it on her for the spider thing” yes she was mad. Yes the ravine and cliff was a really good idea otherwise she would have a detention and not have to think about conjuring a kind looking spikeless dragon. |
Finishing Phase 5 Quote:
She was in a car. Yes, they were moving down the highway, and the occasional dips were hills. If she kept telling herself that, maybe she wouldn't pass out and fall to her fake-death. She really liked the sound of that, because what if Bellaire docked points from her??? After what felt like a million years, Lux felt a small jolt. That meant they must have landed, because she couldn't feel the wind in her face anymore. A moment later, AJ spoke up to confirm her suspicions and Lux happily took her blindfold off before letting herself fall off the dragon. "Oh, solid ground! How I have missed you!" Tears in her eyes, she hugged the earth not caring who saw her and what they would think. "I never want to leave you again unless it's to go on a rock wall with Bay!" |
end phase 4 start of phase 5 SPOILER!!: Three Snakes and a Lion Intense is what this was. The spider, was scary, he could see that... but a part of him knew this was just a class thing, and a Professor wouldn't legit let a student die, so he was confident enough with that thought not to be fazed by the experience, girls though were generally speaking more susceptible to fear from bugs with lots of legs. Between Hady and Maggie, the creature didn't have much hope in dodging or deflecting those arrows, and he KINNNNNDAAAAA felt sorry for it. "No, I think that'll do, let's just get out of here," he said, tugging at Maggies elbow before letting go and instead tugging Hady along. ALL OF THEM, LET'S GO! They'd put plenty of distance between themselves and the spider, and he thought they were pretty much home and hosed, except. "Cliff?" A cliff, with NO bridge to mend. They had to.... "DRAGONS!" Yes, they had to dragons, ahem, FLY. Setting straight to work, Zeke's eyes fell straight to the ground in search of a rock or stone big enough for the task. He wanted a decent sized one to begin with, even if he would only be enlarging it later anyway. "Draconifors," he recited clearly as he performed the spell to a T. He'd had LOTS and LOTS of practice with this one last year by the lake, there was no way he could get it wrong, and he didn't... the small rock shook and shifted until before him was a small Hungarian Horntail. In hindsight, a spiky dragon might not have been the best idea when he would have to ride it, but so long as he didn't impale himself mounting it, then he would be fine with the spike-less space behind the dragons wings. "Engorgio," he cast, watching it swell and grow to a size suitable for riding on. |
