She picked up the scissors and cut them out. There were lots of different colours, which would be good. Colourful kept the eyes keen. Oh yes.

Once she had finished that, it seemed Lux had finished too. Zhenya looked at the cardboard for the game and her mouth dropped open. It was Hogwarts! "Lux! That's... that's incredible," she said. A Hogwarts castle board game design. It was genius! Absolutely genius! It was a trivia game set out by the subjects, what else could the game board be shaped like besides Hogwarts? "Lux it's perfect!"

Once Zhenya had looked at it long enough, which wasn't long enough actually, she asked "Should we come up with the questions now or design the board and cards?" She wanted to design stuff, the fun bit, but did they need questions first?

As Zhenya complimented her game board, Lux blushed slightly. It was nice that her design idea had paid off and she had been trying hard to make it look nice. "Thanks! We make a great team." Yaaay. Go them. BEAM. "I like how you made the cards different colours."

Now Zhenya was asking a good question. Lux thought about it for a moment. "Well, the questions are important, but I want to do some more arts and crafts, so let's finish designing the board and cards!" And after that they could think of the questions and write them down.

Oh, darn.

Kate only had time to create half of her game. She had wanted to write on the squares she'd drawn and figure out the object of the game, but she could always do that later. She put her half-finished project to the side and returned the materials she'd borrowed. "Thanks for a fun lesson, Professor," she said.

It had been fun! She'd played Exploding Snap with Dot then gotten to color on cardboard to create a different game. She could get used to classes like this one!

Ilia chuckled at his comment of pronouncing the names of the broom games. He had never even heard of them? She smiled when he said that she would have to show him how to play them. "Maybe this summer?" She already had sent a few letters to her uncles so hopefully it would be okay with his parents too.

He seemed to figure it out just fine. They were most of the way through their 'teaching game' when the professor had a new idea.....make their own games? She really wasn't sure about that....she had never 'made' a game before and looked puzzled at the prospect. Looking at Henric , then the box, then back to her best friend she wrinkled her nose in thought. "Have you ever made a game before?" Henric seemed like he might have had more exposure to this sort of thing than she did, so perhaps he would be better at it.

"This summer?!" Henric repeated her.His face brighten up at he suggestion,"Really? I can go over to your place and spend summer there? But what about your mum?"he asked, frowning a little.Henric thought it would probably be an inconvenience to Mrs.Valke, you know, because of his background.Being thought as a muggleborn and all that...which he had yet to tell llia, he wasn't. And of course, they couldn't go to his muggletown area and fly around with broomsticks too.

He was not doing good at all with the wizard chess game because his pieces were ultimately destroyed by llia chess pieces everytime he made a move. But it was still fun watching the mayhem these chess pieces did.Awww...too bad they had to finish up the game. Henric nodded his head,"Yeah, plenty of times with my dad, we made up quite a number of weird dares to see who can beat each other out with our own game,"he added. Henric peeked through the choices," How about we use the chocolate frog cards and play "Guess who?" game, its simple we can make a head gear with the cardboards and put the card on it, we can't see our own cards but each other's, we can only ask each other questions too, whoever guess it wrong...we each have a gobstone in our hands as a punishment,I don't mind..I always want to have a mustache one day, what better way to have this game, its perfect...brilliant!"he exclaimed. He wasn't sure if llia like the idea of a mustache or a beard growing on her face but it certainly sounded fun in his ears.

"Yes, this summer." She laughed a little. What about her mother.........Ilia didn't really care if her mother approved or not, but she did suppose she would need some form of consent. "Well.....It wouldn't be at my mother's place. We can talk about it later though." She smiled briefly, not wanting to overthink her family situation in class. That would make this class harder.

She noted mentally to teach Henric more about chess later. She knew she had wizard chess in her trunk somewhere. Patiently she listened as he not only had a clue as to creating a game, but experience and a plan as well! She was rather delighted at this enlightened realization and smiled as she listened. Her best friend was a perfect classmate partner for they complimented each other and were able to balance what the other lacked. She was sure that he would show her what to do and became excited about the prospect. "Sounds brilliant to me.

Sadly however, they would not get a chance to play his game today as the professor called the lesson to a close. She may not have fully understood this lesson, but it was enjoyable regardless. "Thank you professor." She nodded politely and began to gather her things up and checked on her partner.

FearlessLeader19 07-07-2015 05:38 AM

Awh, man!

Whyyy, Professor Glendy, whyyy did class have to finish now? Adi was bummed out that he had gotten to play the game him and Benny came up with but hopefully they could soon. He gathered up the coloured pencils and the excess materials they had gotten from the box before stuffing his belongings back into his bag, tilting his head at Benny. Was he ready to go?

The Puffer placed everything back into the box. "Bye, Professor! This was another fun lesson. And thanks for everything earlier. You know, for helping me have my best friend back.'' He didn't remember if he had thanked her properly for her help. He wanted to hug the woman but he remembered Bellaire's reaction to the hug he had given her. Maybe he would just make Glendower feel awkward so he decided against it.

Nooow, where was that hairy Benny? LOL.

WhittyBitty 07-07-2015 06:56 AM

Awww, looked like lass was over. They would have to continue working on their game later on. That was totally fine, because Lux knew that she and Zhenya would totally rock it like pros.

"Well, that was totally awesome! It's nice working with you," she said with a smile as she collected all the materials that they had borrowed so that they could be returned. Soon enough they would be back to finish up the game board and trivia cards. She was already thinking of all the creative possibilities. Hopefully Professor Glendower would love the finished project as much as they would.

Her stuff was packed away, and Lux was ready to go. "Thanks for the awesome lesson, Professor!" And off she went.

"I know we do! Now and... once we leave Hogwarts. The dream team, potioneers!" Zhenya laughed. Okay maybe not dream team, but... fun team maybe. Happy/excited potioneers! Zhenya smiled too, "Thanks. I like colourful things, I figured why not make them all colourful."

That sounded like a great plan. That way they could get their design on...

Hmm, students seemed a little slow to start or maybe it was just reluctance to give up the game playing for game inventing. Nessa walked around a bit, making sure no one needed assistance and to check progress. She knew she had creative little souls in her class, so she was rather excited to see what they'd come up with. Some of the combination of supplies that some had taken were quite interesting. And she was glad to see that Adi and Benjamin were still working together and having fun. Their friendship really seemed to be on the mend, but she did hope that Henric was not getting pushed to the side now. There was room for many friends.

It seemed like many were opting to go the board game route, though she'd have to say that she was surprised more would not opt to use one of the brooms. She did notice that a few of the were flying on them earlier of course. Perhaps one of the students busy scribbling away in their notes were thinking up a marvelous new broom game. It was just too bad that no one had finished in time to show it off to the class. She noticed that yet again, time was creeping past the end of class. That was a bit disappointing.

"Alright, everyone, unfortunately time is up for the day," she said a little sadly. "I wish that we had time to play some of the games that you certainly had come up with." Though she did see a few of them in the process, so maybe some had gotten further than others. "We can finish these up for homework, which will be posted on your noticeboards shortly. But class is over for today. Please finish up whatever you were doing and put everything that you had gotten out away." This room was kind of a mess now and she'd have her work cut out for her if they didn't at least put the stuff back in the boxes.

Oh maaaaan, Zhenya didn't want the lesson to be over. She never did, it seemed. But this time she was making awesome stuff with Lux, and she really didn't want to have to pack everything up.

"Thanks for the awesome lesson Professor," Zhenya said, a big smile on her face.

Zhenya started cleaning up and organising things in a way that they could get back to designing it without worrying about sorting everything out. She smiled at Lux "It's great working with you too! Do you want to keep working on it together for homework?" She asked, having heard Professor Glendower say they would continue on them for homework.

”I seem to remember that the properties got more expensive as you got round the board? Instead of Jail, we could have detention… and what if the most expensive places are … maybe the Black Lake and the Great Hall?” Marsha was just saying lots of different options. She had no idea what would and wouldn’t work - but this was fun!

”Oh, that would be awesome. It could have an empty abandoned picture of the classroom for its image, and then when someone buys it, it could look like class was in session? OH! Could we have like a badger and a snake and a sorting hat as the play pieces?”

Woah, she would totally play this.

Angel looked at her partner. "Yeah, those are great ideas, I love them so much." Angel thought about the two cheap spaces. "The broom closet and the toilets can be the cheap ones on the board." Angel didn't know if that was right but well it was worth a shout.

Angel then heard the Professor say the class was over and a light build went off in her head. "Oh how about if anyone lands on your square after you buy it. a picture shows you walking into the class." Angel giggled, seriously that would be funny.

Angel thought about the pieces, badger, snake, lion, raven, sorting hat." Angel needed to think of a few more. "I've got what the ghost can do, when you land on go to jail peeves can be the one that marches you off to jail, and when you get advance to something the ghosts can escort you there." Angel thought that would be epic. "Also we could have the pieces move on their own like once you roll the dice, the snake will sliver along the board." Angel stopped there.

"Professor." Angel raised her hand, to say that she wanted the Professor attention, she knew the lesson was over but she wanted to make sure things weren't getting too complicated with the board game they were coming up with. "Before I leave can we have a quick word?"

Hmm, she supposed she should have brought in another empty box to house all the partially finished projects for the students to work on them later. Oh well, she was sure she could find one after class. "Oh, you are welcome, Kate," Nessa said with a bright smile. "I'm glad you enjoyed it."

Felixir 07-07-2015 02:11 PM

Oh.

Uh.

Well.

Toby hadn't even got to the practical stage of his... uh... whatever he was going to do, so the news that the lesson was already OVER came as something of a shock. In fact, as Toby was leaning back on those two chair legs, still mid-stretch, Glendower's announcement that they needed to start packing up surprised him so much so that he lost balance on the chair and fell backwards. Fear not, though. Because the desk of whoever was sat behind him broke his fall and prevented his chair from hitting the floor.

"Sorry... sorry," Toby hurriedly said, righting the chair again and glancing over his shoulder. "Sorry." Oops.

Okay, so... packing up. Relatively easy, as Toby hadn't gone to get any extra materials yet. Whoops. He supposed they'd spent longer than he'd realised playing the other games and flying around, and he'd lost track of time. Well, he'd just have to make up for that in his homework, if Glendower asked them to present their game idea or something.

"Great lesson, Professor," Toby called across to her now, sounding almost distracted as he shoved his class notes into his school bag that was already stuffed full of textbooks. "Thanks for letting us fly." LIKE FOR REAL. Highlight of his year, really. The Hufflepuff looked up and grinned at Glendower as he slung the strap of his bag over his shoulder.

Time to go, then.

Cinnamon had finished planning out her game she made up. Just in time too. She looked up when she heard professor Glendower said that class was over. Awww. It was strange feeling upset over class being over.

She started cleaning up and putting her things in her bag. She'd need that for her homework apparently according to professor Glendower. She finished tiding up her desk and work area. It was ashame that she didn't get to try out the game. Though she wasn't sure if she'd get a chance to again or not. But she was glad that she got to fly around on for a little bit.

She gathered her things and headed out the door. "Thank you for the great lesson Professor."

Oh goodness. The sound of a small commotion caught Nessa's attention and she turned just in time to see Toby nearly falling out of his chair. "Are you alright?" she called over, starting that way. But it seemed as if he was fine as he was collecting his things now. "Oh.. you're welcome," she said, smiling brightly now that he was back to smiling and was starting out the door. She knew flying in a classroom probably wasn't quite the same as flying outside, but it was the best she could do today. "Have a nice rest of the day." And of course, she did wonder if his game would include flying..

Alright, here was fine with her as well and Nessa put a few of the glow sticks back in the box before she turned her attention back to Angel. She listened, but she wasn't completely sure all that Angel wanted to include. "Well, to complete all of that, it sounds like perhaps a lot of spells may be involved. It might be best to stick to one or two, or to the spells that you already know." There was no need to get overly complicated with it.
