Blushing Evie's cheeks turned a pink as she realized what Lance was implying. "No, no. My mum is a witch. But no one knew until I received my letter." Evie thought back to the day she received her letter and found out the truth about her mother, at first she was excited about it but then she became scared. Scared as to what else her mother had hid from her. She could hear her parents screaming at each other down the hallway, and she was quite sure she had never seen her father so upset.
Shaking her head she smiled weakly at Lance "So I had a very short time to not only learn as much as i could about Hogwarts but to get supplies and everything else before the train."
Another year..
He wondered what this year was going to be like, he didn't have much friends due to the way he acted with Sophia during the summer holiday. Sophia and the gang still didn't forgive him for breaking her heart, to be he still hasn't forgave himself, what he did was horrible. He really does like Sophia though, she's beautiful, smart, and caring. Sighing to himself he walked into the Great Hall and sat down at the Gryffindor table as he looked at the Hufflepuff table at Sophia as she gave him a look that could kill. Sighing to himself he smiled sadly at her before he looked down at his plate, he knew that he had to talk to her, perhaps at the lake.
Pushing those thoughts out of his head for now, Seth looked at Adi the boy he met in the Luggage compartment on the train. "HeyAdi how did your summer go? Hopefully better than mine did. said Seth.

"Of course you do. I plan to go to India sometime to do the same.'' Though he wasn't too keen on that idea right now. The place was crowded and very heated. "How was it that that school? Can you speak Chinese?" Adi was interested. Maybe Natalia could teach him some Chinese like Jackson said he would teach him Korean.
Likes her attitude? A grin spread across Natalia's face; she had never received that kind of compliment before. "Thank you for that praise. And I...I suppose I like your personality too." Natalia let out a soft chuckle. It wasn't quite true, since Adi the Great Hufflepuff Prefect went along with Natalia's egoistic introduction. "Ooooh, India! I love Indian food." That was the absolute first thing that came to her mind. Food was the number one priority of everything. Numero uno, including the first attraction when visiting another country.
"I loved it. It's not as good as Hogwarts, but it offers a variety of courses." Natalia reminisce her old school and friends (even though she didn't have many), feeling slightly nostalgic. "The school is huuuuge...if you can image a lot of people in China. There are a lot of international students there, so most of courses are conducted in English, actually." It was one of those international wizarding schools. That is why Natalia felt so at ease transferring to Hogwarts. "But yes, I can! But I'm not the most advanced, to the honest." Natalia never had a lot of opportunity to practice Chinese, but she believed her language skill was rather decent.

"She makes us all stand before she let's us sit at our desks during class." Zander would stand if it were the queen or something, but c'mon, Bellaire wasn't the queen. He was sure of that much. "She's also got a mean temper, so you've got to stay on her good side." Did Bellaire have a good side? He wasn't quite sure... But it was doubtful. Very doubtful. "Oh and the healer, she's... She only likes Slytherins..." This was 100% the truth, except sometimes she didn't even like the Slytherins. "And then there's Culloden, he's... Actually he's okay now I guess... Just as long as you don't blow up your potion... And then Quigley, he's that one," POINTING "He hates me and loud noises... And heights... And actually, I'm pretty sure he hates everything." Actually, what was the point here?
Oh yeah, hello Nat welcome to the weirdest next few years of your life. Professors are just the start of it. Also once the food comes out, welcome to the best food of your life too. 'Cause that was also important.
"Bellaire." Natalia repeated in a murmur, attempting to remember all the names so that she could take caution in the coming months. "The Healer. Culloden. Quigley." Whew, that was a handful! Natalia was positive she was going to forget them all in the next few seconds. That was step number one, only. "Thanks for the war strategies, I'll be sure to keep them in mind." Natalia glanced briefly over to the staff table, attempting to put the names onto the faces. It didn't end up working since she had no idea who was who, at all.
"What are some other war strategies to survive? Like homework? Exams?" Natalia felt since Zander was a prefect, he would be the perfect person to consult these questions to.

"Just because you're older than me you can tell me what can or can't do?" Natalia shook her head in disbelief, though she was smiling in amusement. "I reject this age hierarchy. Do you want me to call you "senpai" or something?" Oh wait, that was Japanese. "I mean, sunbae...?" Right? That was the word for senior in Korean, Natalia was almost certain. She had heard her best friend, who was Korean, frequently use this word to indicate her peers.
"AND I CAN THINK WHATEVER I WANT." Yoonfoo. Yoonfoo. Yoonfoofoopoofoo. Poof. Poofoo. Foofoo.

She had made friends all over the place during the years she was at school; it definitely had been a wonderful change from being home schooled. And the comment about falling asleep on the train got a laugh. "Happens to all of us at some point or another. I assure you I've done it and woken up looking like a total mess." Yep. Sometimes she had looked like a nightmare!! "I am glad you liked your snack, and the feast will take care of the rest of it!" The food was amazing.
Loads of friends? "That'll be nice...I think. Natalia couldn't even imaging what it would be like to have loads of friends. She had always surrounded herself with a small, close group of friends. That was probably due to the reason that Natalia's former school had an enormous population, and it was more difficult for the students to establish a "family" within the school.
"Yes! I look like a zombie all the time in the morning!" Natalia let out a soft chuckle, imaging her own messy reflection. "Finally! I was starting to think they would skip dinner." Thank Merlin the feast has started. Skipping dinner would be very, very, terrifying.

He missed singing and playing the old piano at the music room, the place that he loved to visit after the class. "You also new student?" He suddenly asked.
Wizarding art performance school, huh? That was something new. So this guy was a performer. "That's interesting. I'm a dancer." Hip-hop dancing, to be more specific. Natalia never had to impatience to endure more stringent types, like ballet or even contemporary. "What do you do there, specifically? What kind of classes do they offer there?" Since Jackson went to an art performance school, then they probably take different classes that are not offered at standard wizarding schools.

Straight to one Gryffindor Prefect, naturally.
They definitely had something to discuss later, it seemed.
Attention focused back on Chance, where it had mostly been the whole time really, Hayley was quiet as she listened to him explain a bit more about WHiM for a moment - curious of what he meant by not PG, and unsure whether or not she actually wanted to know what that meant - , until he pulled that card. She honestly hadn't seen that coming, and for the briefest of moments the surprise shown on her face. Clever, lion boy. "Not here. Meet me later?" Hayley asked, surprising even herself with the sudden decision. Albeit, she didn't let that show. It was entirely possible, and likely, her cheeks were still a fair shade of pink though. "I'll show you." And then he could explain more of his interning to her.
Thank goodness for Marsha, what a good little distraction she was. Looking over at the redhead and back again, Hayley smiled softly. "Marsha. She's another of my first year charges. We sort of.. share extended family, if that makes any sense. In-laws. I was asked to look out for her a bit, you know. Make sure she makes it safely to the castle. Doesn't get eaten by a man-eating plant in Herbology, that sort of thing."
Chance listened as the Great Hall rose louder as more students got together. Names were being called out from every direction. It was kind of distracting actually. Chance moved closer to Hayley cause he could barely hear her. "It's kinda loud. So yea meeting you later might be a better thing than trying to talk over this noise!" He wasn't trying to raise his voice but he kinda had to to get her to hear him.
Oh another person. Chance smiled at whoever that was. Hayley was about as popular as he was. About. Hehe. He waved at whoever else was going to come over.
"You have a weird kinda family thing going on." Chance commented. Really, he was just jealous. He wanted siblings or cousins or someone related to him running around Hogwarts with him. He grinned at Hayles and winked. "I'm kidding. I don't have any magical siblings. It gets kinda boring not to have them around."

...what??? haha TEAM MASCOT?! Haha. That would be pretty cool, but... hahaha no. Zahra kind of wanted to be something that Mikey's parents wouldn't be snobs about. Wait.
What was that about a wife part. ERM. CUE AWKWARD CHUCKLING.
It was cool though, Mikey saved the weird moment by being an inflated-ego idiot. "My arm is NEARLY as big as yours. It's your HEAD that is the size of URANUS."
teeheeheeeeeeeeee.
Anywho. FOOD TIME WOOT. Zahra was two handfuls into some bread and butter. "Well... yeah. I mean, we're SUPPOSED to have permission. It's kind of understood." Not saying it'd STOP her, since rules always were just sort of SUGGESTIONS to any Gryffindor anyway. As for where she wanted to go....? "I wanted to go to Durmstrang all last year."
"Oh please." He scoffed as he picked up her arm and gave it a jiggle. "It's no where near as big as mine and what's all this flab?" He pretended to pinch her non existent flab.
Michael proceeded to hold a plate for her while she grabbed her food. The whole getting permission to leave the school was annoying and he knew that it wouldn't stop the either of them from leaving when they felt like it, but it would be nice to be legit. Saved having to do detention. "We're not going to Durmstrang." He knew why she had said that but he had spent the last two years there and he did not want to go back. "Where do you want to go this year?"
Now that her plate was full of bread and butter, Michael picked up his own plate and began placing some food upon it. "So anything I need to know about the new Professors?"
and with this, I fear, I must depart. See you again SOON, Gryffindors ;)

Very well, then. "Oh! Right, introductions...forgot about that." Natalia wasn't very fond of giving "formal" self introductions. If he insists..."How do you do, Sir Nicholas - I think that's your name - on this wonderful evening? Let me introduce myself. I come from the house of Woolf. My given name is Natalia, but do feel free to refer to me as Nat." Formal enough? Natalia flashed a grin to the ghost before continuing. "May I refer to you as... Nick? Or perhaps... Nicky? Cholas?"Now how about that dance? Natalia thought to herself.
Yes. Natalia smiled to herself in approval. Just keep referring to me that way."Nice to meet you, Aditya the Great Hufflepuff Prefect." But of course, Natalia the Awesome was the most original and unique. "Thanks!" Natalia noticed the boy getting closer and closer to finishing that chocolate frog she had given him earlier. "I went to Shanghai Pudong Wizarding Academy... in Shanghai, China." Natalia added a vague description at the end to clarify the location, in case he confused it with Shanghai, Ireland... or something. "I move a lot because of my parents.. and because I'm half-Chinese I deserve to know a little about my culture, right?" Natalia grew suddenly interested in the conversation, as it came to her heritage that she was strongly proud of. Often times, people falsely recognize her ethnicity as Latino, and thus far, no one guessed her true ethnicity on the first attempt.
Yoonfoo sounded to Natalia like an adorable puppy name! Natalia laughed out loud at the silly-sounding name nonetheless. "I won't ever stop thinking 'Yoonfoo' whenever I see you now!" Natalia continued to giggle to herself. Okay, but honestly, she needed to stop. Slowly, she restrained herself from further expressing her amusement. ...Hehehe *ahem* "Sorry, sorry... I won't, don't worry." Natalia tried to reassure him the best that she could. But inside her head, the name never stopped echoing. Sorry, Yoonfoo.Foofoo.Poofoofoo. Poof."I'm in fourth year. You?" Now for an actual, mature conversation.
Aww...why are Hufflepuffs so nice? At least this one. c: "Thank you! With your help, I'm sure I would!" Natalia found it difficult to respond to a friendly comment. If it was something slightly more casual, Natalia would have found a way to add a pinch of sarcasm or amusement into it. Yep, Nat definitely spent waaay too much time vacationing in America during the earlier years of her life. "I sort of fell asleep right before we arrived." Natalia slightly giggled to herself. "And when I woke up, I wasn't in the best physical condition." Messy hair, droopy eyes, muggle clothes on... yerp. "The Chocolate Frogs and those Cauldron Cakes were pretty delicious! Though... they don't really seem to fill the my stomach for too long." Natalia remarked as her stomach gave another vigorous growl.
Relaxing his shoulders while puffing out his chest a bit, giving the ghost a rather undignified slouch, as he listened to a most gracious self introduction from the young lady. "Why in Merlin's beard would you wish for people to refer to you by gnat?" he said aghast. "Terribly improper for a young maiden of your stature!"
He shook his head. "Sir Nicholas, if you please."
And if she did not please, he may file a formal complaint.

Angel had no idea what she was going to do next.
Angel looked at Nearly Headless Nick and blushed. "Sorry sir Nick, I was just excited to see you again after last term." Angel was really upset with herself.
Angel smiled as she looked at Adi. "ADI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Angel was totally happy to see things. "I'm pumped about being a fourth year." Angel thought that it would be amazing to actually spend time with her boyfriend without him having to do his OWL exams. "How did you do on your OWLs?" Angel hadn't seen him for ages, or so it seemed.
Angel looked at Benny as he motioned her to come closer and so she scooted up next to him, "Hi." Angel had thought there had been two people next to him but she must have been seeing things which was crazy. "Hey Benny." Angel looked at her boyfriend. "What you doing and how did your OWL exams go?" Angel hadn't even seen Benny that much either, she had been really ill this summer which wasn't that good, though she had seen him a few times. "So what we doing tomorrow?" Angel wanted to spend some time with him.
Angel looked at Lux and gigged. "It wasn't good, I was ill for most of it, I have no idea why though." Angel pouted, she was glad that Lux had a great summer probably spend time with Bay. "So you looking forwards to being a sixth year?" Angel couldn't believe that they were both growing up so fast, Lux, Adi and Benny would be gone in a few years which was scaring her loads.
Galloping gargoyles, was she quite alright? Completely in one ear and out the other!
"Nicholas," he corrected once more. "And that natural flush suits you quite well."
Twas a pity that ghosts could no longer attain such a shade. Truly.

Oh yeah, hello Nat welcome to the weirdest next few years of your life. Professors are just the start of it. Also once the food comes out, welcome to the best food of your life too. 'Cause that was also important.
Yeah HOW!? Zander had only met a few of the new folks, but man this was very exhausting. Having to think about what to bring up as casual small talk. Like you could only go on about how hungry you are for so long before it starts getting old, y'know? "Did you just stay with your family, then? Or did you erm, hang out with any friends and stuff?" 'Cause Zander hated just staying with his family. Especially with his brothers, they were the worst. But this summer was great 'cause he was out and about for most of it. Mhm. Great stuff, Diagon Alley and going over to Toby's that one time, and then to Sophie's that other time, and to Amur's farm, and the field trip and... Yeah. Home was boring.
Zander leaned towards the ghost trying to get as secretive as he could, 'cause apparently this was highly classified information... Even though they were supposed to find out about it right after the feast. How come they had to do all this secret stuff, huh? Not like Zander would've told anyone anyways. It wasn't fair. So the Gryffindor was very thankful to have a Sir Nicholas on his side. Heh. Take that, secrets!
"... Sand?" he whispered in a very confused fashion. What the what? Sand? .... Uh. Were they having a beach party? Egyptian themed? Uh. Sand? This was not what Zander expected to hear...? "I wonder what they're doing with that...." He had zero ideas. Well, aside from the two previously mentioned ideas, but what the heck was a vibrant blue flickering thingy doing with sand? Zander was lost. Very. "Are you going to join us in the Common Room?" Vibrant, blue, flickering. Zander was not just about to let this go. A blue fire? Fires flickered???? It could literally be ANYTHING.
But Zander was gonna figure it out. He was, okay?
"Oh yeah! You could always work on that next summer! Especially since we'll be of age and everything," Woah. That was kind of weird to say out loud. They were OLD. Sixth Years. Like woah. When did that happen? Zander didn't feel old, but then again.... Anyways, he wasn't going off on this whole thing in his head. He was having a conversation, yes. "Oh-I-uh-no... I haven't really seen him since... Erm.... His graduation?" It was hard keeping up with all the graduates. Luckily he had mirrors with Lottie and letters were always helpful to keep in touch, but he sort of lost the others. And by others he really just meant Bay because Bay and Lottie were definitely the only old people he really knew.
This girl was insane. Moreso than the others, he was sure of it. What did it take to make her happy? Well, a unicorn obviously, but weren't there better ways of getting one than going into the FORBIDDEN forrest? He got into HUGE trouble for that last time. And someone DIED. AJ needed some common sense talked into her or something. And Zander Adair was going to figure out a way to do it... Or a way to completely avoid her for the rest of the term until she forgot about their deal. Yeah. That sounded like a plan.
But anyways, where was the food? His stomach was grumbling.
Twirling his ghostly fingers around his goatee as the prefect thought things over, Sir Nicholas had hoped that Zander would have been able to figure things out with those clues. But with the speech over and done, he would see soon for himself.
"But of course," he replied with a polite bow of the head. "In fact, I should start making my way back there shortly."

Boo! “Can I ask how old you are, Sir Nicholas? Well…obviously you’re not alive but with the ghost years added?” he was just curious how long he had been at this school.
Natalia was still giggling at her nickname for him and the Gryffindor rubbed the back of his neck to keep himself from getting truly offended. True, he liked jokes but when things got to far he set his foot down. Only, setting his foot down did not mean what normally meant when someone stood up for himself. Yoongi blinked at him (Adi). “It’s that unusual wanting to be a Puffer?” he asked. Why though? That house had really good traits. All houses had but Hufflepuff sounded like they were a combination of every house. “But I’m a Gryffindor now so don’t think I’m helping you people win that House cup” he said and reached inside his pocket to grab out a lip balm stick. He applied it to his dry lips and put it back where it belonged. “I’m really excellent in Charms yes” he answered. “You’re the second person asking that, you know that? A girl named…named…” he frowned slightly and seemed to look in to space for a moment as he tried to remember her name. Nothing came to mind and he whined frustratingly. “I can’t remember her name! ..but I do know she’s from Hufflepuff as well” anyways… “She wants me to help her out as well with Charms” yup yup. He fell silent again, but if anyone could see inside his mind they would see he was thinking at top speed. “LEAH!” oops, bit too loud? “Leah was her name… do you know her?”
Clearly why he had not been sorted into Slytherin then. The ghost chuckled to himself for a moment. "A pleasure, Yoongi, to make your acquaintance. If you are asking when it was that I got this," he said, pulling his head to the side to reveal just how he got the nickname Nearly Headless. "It occurred on the 31 October, 1492. I wrote a ballad of the tale once, if you would care to listen to it sometime."

Oh. He slowly nodded in understanding at his mistake, wringing his hands together on his lap as he listened carefully to each detail. Ravenclaws being super smart (his nose wrinkled at the mention of books, not particularly fond of the objects), Hufflepuffs being super cool, and Slytherins being super... Nice? Mean? In-between?
The name did ring a bell in his however. Slytherin. That was the house his grandmother wanted him to be in. Though he was confused as to why, especially now if they were described as mean. His grandmother always said it was the best though. "His plank? Like...a pirate?" What what?
Lance puffed out his cheeks as he stared at the adults up front. There was no sign that indicated anything about food, so he blew out the breath he was holding and settled himself comfortably back in his seat. Patience is a virtue, the words rang in his head as if his grandmother was right there telling him them.
What did virtue even meeeaaan?
"Soooooo," he started, occupying his hands with his empty plate, "What are you going to name your rock?"
His eyes crossed, following the ghost's as much as he could as he drew nearer, though a rather unpleasant feeling passed through his head, or his nose more specifically. A slight icy chill made him shudder involuntarily and scrunch up his nose. Woah.
The feeling was forgotten when he was just dubbed SIR LANCELOT, Gryffindor Knight of the Silver Platter! OH MAN! Could the ghost DO that?! Did he get a shield? Or a sword?? He almost missed what was being said, the feeling of pure joy rising up through him and endless possibilities of being a KNIGHT was rather distracting. Plate of roast beef with caramelized onion gravy (ew), yes yes, he could do that! And a dollop of mashed potatoes, YES! And-
And he was at a loss now.
"Ferment?" he repeated questionably, his look of joy disappearing instantaneously. "What?"
"Ferment. Spoil. Rot. Food that we ghosts can almost taste," he confirmed. "I'm counting on you, Sir Lancelot."
And then the ghost floated through the remainder of the table and began making his way out of the Great Hall.

SPOILER!!: Marsha
Looking back towards AJ, Marsha giggled. "Not much, just super hungry!" She informed the older Gryffindor. "Oh, is it? Woah, can you show me? Maybe I'll have to just start walking around the corridors--.... at the weekends." She added quickly when AJ said to not try it before class. Which was completely sensible - because being late to classes didn't seem like a sensible thing to do... She would have to try and remember the school corridors so that she wouldn't get lost anyway - the castle looked and felt HUGE to the almost-twelve year old. "Woah! Who is Bellaire?" She had heard the name before, but she couldn't remember what the witch taught.
Being hungry was one thing that AJ could relate to. "I'm almost always hungry." In fact it was unusual that she didn't have something stored in her pocket at the moment. As it turned out she consumed her entire stash on the train ride over here. It was looking like an owl to her mom was in order. "I usually have treats on me, but it was a really long train ride."
This was the kind of excitement that AJ could get down with. "Totally. Oh yeah, we could explore the castle anytime you want. I'm sure there are loads of places I haven't even come across yet." Ah, to be a first year again.
AJ cleared her throat and looked Marsha dead in her eyes. "She's horrible. She teaches transfiguration. A little word of advice.... don't sit down until she says it's okay." Did that tell her what kind of person she was?
SPOILER!!: Sir Nicholas
"That's the confidence I love to hear!" he exclaimed, fluffing his luff a bit more and puffed out his chest. "But a word of caution to all. A true knight perseveres to the end in any enterprise begun. Do not let overconfidence cloud your dedication!"
What could she say? AJ was a very confident girl. A smile cracked the face of the younger lion while the transparent gryffindor seemed to 'float' a bit taller. Overconfident? Her? PFFT. "No overconfidence here. I know what I'm capable of." And that was being awesome. Not to mention that she would be putting some points up on that lion board. All the other houses had better be on their A game.

The name did ring a bell in his however. Slytherin. That was the house his grandmother wanted him to be in. Though he was confused as to why, especially now if they were described as mean. His grandmother always said it was the best though. "His plank? Like...a pirate?" What what?
He seemed to be taking in every detail that AJ threw at him. She thought she had all of the houses down pat. The only one that she didn't have all figured out was Slytherin. Ethan was the only person she really talked to in the Slytherin house. Why was that? AJ was just going to have to change that. "I don't really know what their "thing" is." Every house had a thing.
Soon enough he brought up pirate talk, and AJ completely forgot about the Slytherin dilemma. "Oh, it was really cool. The potions professor let us take this potion that made us all super strong like Batman." That was her personal favorite super hero. "And then we had this race to see who could carry the most planks, but that wouldn't have been fun without people hanging off of them, you know?" So, Ethan let me hang off of his plank while we raced everybody else." This had to be a lot of information to a firstie. "You're gunna love Hogwarts." As if that last statement explained everything.
SPOILER!!: Lux
SNORT.
Lux laughed at the thought of a zombie Adi. Honestly, she had been in just about the same state by the time summer holidays rolled around. AJ still had that to worry about next year, and the redhead did NOT envy her. Then again she would be dealing with NEWTs at that time... Oh well, after that it was the real world and Bay wouldn't be able to get rid of her even if he wanted to! "I actually did a lot better on them than I thought I would." It had been an amazing surprise especially considering how nervous she had been before opening the envelope.
Nodding, she could understand what her friend was talking about, feeling like she was in the middle. "I felt the same way when I was a Fourth Year." Totally understandable even though she wasn't a middle child, but the baby. Willa was the middle child. "And maybe we can be study buddies next term!" That could be loads of fun.
The lion was elated to hear that Lux had done a good job on her exams. "Of course you did well. You are super smart." She should have more confidence in herself. Own it, girl. AJ had one more year of peace before she would have to worry about all that extra studying. She wasn't going to stress herself out over it though. Where was the fun in that?
"You did?" It was crazy how alike the two girls were. On the outside Lux was girly and AJ was a tomboy, but inside they favor each other. The fourth year has really started to look up to Lux. Her eyes brightened up at the thought of partnering up with Lux. "I hate studying, but I bet we can make it fun." If you had to do it you might as well make it enjoyable.

He surely had never been this bewildered in his LIFE. Lance's eyes squinted somewhat as he thought over it for a couple seconds, though decided not to pry any further. It was rude to after all, even though he really really really wanted to. REALLY. "Oh, well," he leaned back from the table, fixing his plate again, "If you have um, questions, or stuff... I can maybe, y'know...help."
If...she wanted it. He grew up with the knowledge and still was no expert.

His mouth couldn't have hung open further if he tried, surely.
The potions professor sounded COOL. Not only that, but AJ totally knew who BATMAN was! A smile began to form the more she described the situation until he had a look of utter amazement upon his face. He wanted super strength! "Oh man, I hope he'll let us take that potion this year too," Lance wiggled in his seat a little, gripping the edge of the table to hold in his excitement.
He was definitely going to like it here.

Ferment. Spoil. Rot.
The expression he wore continued to distort into a cringe at each passing word. Nothing could sound less appetizing right now. "Yes, sir," he said weakly as the ghost floated away. He was going to have rotten onion gravy in his dormitory...
Perhaps, left him a little less on the hungry side.

'Cause it was called the Start of the Term FEAST not the Start of The Term 'let's-just-hang-out-and-STARVE". Ahem. Sorry, he didn't really munch on too many of his chocolate frogs on the way over, okay? He was saving them. Maybe if he could just find a house elf.... And ask very politely.... Maybe since he got that superlative they'd be extra nice to him?
And he was practically homies with Toddles now, so maybe the elf would spare him some--HUH? It took him a second to adjust to the total darkness he was now staring at. Clearly someone was trying to take advantage of his vulnerable, hungry state. Clearly. Actually no, it was probably Sophie or Amur. Those were Zander's first guesses, anyways. He would say Cinna, but he'd seen her and some of the other potential perpetrators sitting around him. HM. Who could it be? "Hey!" he reached his hands up to feel the hands over his eyes. You know, thinking that maybe he could recognize the person based on that? Eh. It seemed like a good idea in the moment, okay? "Well whoever you are, you've got really soft hands," he chuckled a bit like the good dweeb he was. Sophie? Amur? WHO? Reveal yourself.
With her hands still covering Zander's eyes, Tia felt herself smile at his touch over her hands. BUT she would not reveal herself just yet ....

Straight to one Gryffindor Prefect, naturally.
They definitely had something to discuss later, it seemed.
AND nor did she need to reveal herself as moments later both Lux and Hayley greeted her back very loudly - SHAME she didn't have more hands to cover Z's ears too.
Smiling at the two girls, she let her hands fall from his eye covering as she slid onto the bench next to him albeit facing the opposite way. "Hey, Zander. Did you have a good summer?" Which really meant ... did he miss her?
Uh oh. Was the feast wrapping up? She should have come over sooner ....
