Nat. Nat. Nat. Got it. This was going to be a lot harder than he thought. Didn't remember there being this many new kids last time around. Must've been something in the water 'cause Gryfindor was getting LOADS. Not that it was a bad thing or anything.... New kids were great. Just made memorizing names a TON harder 'cause there were so many more to remember. Kinda like memorizing the names of Runes, and that is why he failed that one. Ahem. ANYWAYS. "They also enjoy watching us suffer with homework," he nodded, still grinning by the way. "But they're not all bad... Well not most of them anyways." Bellaire was awful. And the healer was mean. And-- This was probably the wrong way to encourage a new kid. Ahem.

"Have a good summer, Nemo?" he figured as much. Nemo wasn't really the most enthusiastic student. Zander sort of got the impression that he had wanted to leave the minute he got here. But then again... Didn't he have some girlfriend he was always talking about? That was a pretty good reason to not want to be at Hogwarts, just sayin'.

Remain calm.
Uh? Zander followed Puck's stare over to the staff table. What in the name of Merlin was she talking about? "Huh?" First off, no one should ever assume that Zander Adair is an avid Daily Prophet leader because first off HA and second off LOL. The Daily Prophet was a newspaper, right? Maybe. He wasn't actually entirely sure. "What cultist article?" Had the staff hired yet ANOTHER potential azkaban prisoner. Not that Zander really suspected that Domingo lady in the first place. But still. You'd think they'd learn after the first time...

You know, it was really nice being on good terms with the ghosts. Well, other than Peeves because was Peeves really on good terms with anyone? But then again, did he even count as a ghost? All great questions that Zander didn't really care all that much about. Anyways. Sir Nicholas. "Yes, Sir! I haven't heard anything about it this time around," he was quite confused about it too. Mhm. So yeeeeeees Sir Nicholas of Gryffindor House, please.

Just went through some family stuff and it wasn't the greatest." She nodded, that was about as much as anyone was going to get out of her mouth about that subject. "I still had fun but not the whole summer I didn't." She beamed at him. "It sounds like you had a really fun and busy summer?" She shrugged. "I don't know why but I have this gut feeling that this term is going to be so much fun." She nodded fast and more than once.
"I just feel like I've gotta meet everyone since we're in the same house 'n stuff. But there are SO many new people to meet! Did you get the second and third years on board too? Oh no. Don't tell me... I want to be surprised." EEEEEEEEEP. Zander was really pulling through for her. "We will talk later. I need food to be of any use." Not that she didn't consume enough candy on the way over here to put down a horse. That didn't count. This chick needed some protein.
Is there ever a time when you just want to smack your head against the desk for saying possibly the worst thing possible? Because this was that kind of time. Well, it was for Zander anyway. "Uh..." was all Zander said.
O______________O
'Cause NO he didn't have any better plans or more minions and NO they weren't going into the forbidden forrest to grab unicorns. Didn't she remember what happened last time people went down to the forbidden forrest? It was MADNESS. But how could Zander break it to her in front of all these people? Especially when she seemed so excited and Merlin. this was going to be a lot tougher than he thought. "Uh, yeah we'll just talk about it later, then..." he scratched his head, slightly confused by this interaction. Merlin. She was even more confusing than the arithmancy textbook.

Where Zahra went after the carriages wasn't NEARLY as important as what she had RETRIEVED after she disappeared. She appeared in the Great Hall with a SHINY trumpet under her arm, her black feast hat skewed to the right, and a bag full of firecrackers.
Then she played her mysterious trumpet UP THE AISLE (badly) PpprppppruummmmmmppeeeeeeeeSQUEEEAAAKKKKBLARRRRTTT ppprrrruuueeeerrrrmmmmmmmmmmm until she reached the side of her long lost Dumstrangian boyfriend. Once there, and TOTALLY out of breath, she did a poorly practiced tap dance number. DID HE FEEL WELCOMED BACK? Because he was. He was SOOOOOOOOO welcome back.

OH MERLIN!!
Even with the chatter of hundreds of students around the Great Hall there was no way that Michael could not hear the sounds of a trumpet being played. He looked up to where the sound was coming from and immediately burst out laughing at the sight of his girlfriend walking up the aisle. He turned in his seat and couldn't stop grinning as she proceeded to do a tap dance. This was one of the reasons why he loved this girl so much.
"What? No confetti and streamers to mark the occasion?" He was still grinning as he reached out and pulled her onto his lap. "Thanks Kettleburn."

"In the GREAT HALL? Ain't NO WAY I'm getting detention on your first night back, Toussaint. You know how Bunz and the rest of them like to it all clean."
Zahra hugged him SO HARD. If she wasn't careful, she might even cry... nah... nah.... she was too tough for that. But having Mikey HERE, HERE at the Feast - it was THIS that made his "being back" seem so REAL.
"Besides," Zahra slid off of his lap and into the seat next to him. "That's just the preshow." She pat her bag of fireworks MYSTERIOUSLY.

"I guess I had forgotten." It was going to take a while to get back into the swing of things he guessed. At least the students here seemed more civilised than those he had to put up with at Durmstrang. He didn't see him getting into any fights with any of the students. He hoped not anyway.
He kissed the top of Zahra's head before she slid off his lap and raised an eyebrow when he noticed the bag. "You've obviously been doing some shopping." Michael had the feeling that they were going to be pulling another all nighter. "I'm still disappointed that we didn't get to fly the motorcycle right into the Great Hall." Because that would have been totally awesome, but as Z had pointed out, they probably would have gotten expelled and knowing Bunz she would have confiscated his bike. Perhaps at the end of term feast.
He eyed the bag again. "You're not going to tell me what's in there are you?"
A ship in harbor is safe — but that is not what ships are built for.
Natalia was slightly taken aback when she was approached by another girl, grinning and wearing a prefect badge like Zander. Whoa, authority. ”Oh, hello Puck!” Natalia decided to return a grin. It was great, Natalia thought, that people were already starting to use her preferred alias - Natalia the Awesome! ”Puck from Shakespeare?” Natalia scavenged through her memory in attempt to search for the reference. She was never so good at literature. ”Well, shall I refer to thee as...Puck the Mischievous?” Natalia had to silently high five herself while shooting another grin at the prefect.
What a friendly ghost! Natalia beamed to herself as she shouted to Sir Nicholas: ”Can you...dance?” Natalia wasn’t sure what inspired her to think that he could, but it would be quite amusing. ”Dance! Dance for us!” Wait, why again? Maybe because...the ghost's flimsy figure looked flexible and dance-able? Natalia waited for a response with a look of eagerness on her face.
When the badger acknowledged Nat’s presence, the lioness beamed. Yerrse. ”Yaay,” Natalia silently high fived herself - again. ”yeah, don’t forget me. I’m in dire need of acquaintances...and friends.” :3 ”How was the rest of your train ride, Lux?” Natalia asked.
Natalie. Thank goodness she wasn’t named that; the name was simply too conventional and plain. Natalia, on the other hand, sounded much more exotic and unique. Many people did often forget that Nat was the short form of Natalia, which irritated Natalia, very. much. ”Nat for Natalia.” She responded, eyeing Yoongi carefully, making sure he was absorbing every. single. word. ”Not Natalie, and don’t ever call me that. It’s like me calling you Yoon…foo...” Yoonfoo. Hurhur. Where did that even come from? ”So yeah!” Natalia made sure to give a bright grin to show that although she was serious with the precaution, she wasn’t trying to be hostile at all.
The Korean boy, Jackson, had an obvious accent, and Natalia couldn’t stop the questions popping up in her head. ”Wait, did you just move here from Korea? Did you go to a wizarding school there?” Natalia often grew curious whenever she met a foreign student. Because who knew what kind exotic life they lived on the other side of the globe? :O
Natalia then turned to the Zander again. Yes, teachers' greatest (and evilest) tool of all: homework. "How do I survive?" Natalia pretended to rub forehead in distress. "Maybe I should escape while I can..." *EVIL GRIN* Of course, Natalia was merely having fun. "So tell me who-" Natalia peered at the professors sitting at the staff table. "-I should watch out for." The first step to surviving school was to know who you're fighting against. Then, it was to plan out the battle strategies -but those were for later.

As soon as she had sat down, she got a BIG grin from Zak. ”YES! This is amazing! I’m so excited… Now we need to wait and see where the others end up.” The Welsh girl grinned happily as she listened - or rather tried to, it was LOUD in here - to the others who were getting sorted as they continued to go through the students.
Woah. She just got a smile! From one of the older Hufflepuff students (Adi). That was so cool! The girl smiled back, waving her left hand slightly at him. Was that a Prefect badge she saw? Silently, she wondered if he was… now, what had Alyssa said their prefects were called? Ally…? Anny? Andy? Hmm… No.. They didn’t sound right but maybe she would figure it out one of these days… Or she could find her aunt and just ask her.
YES! Evie was with them in Gryffindor too!! Marsha hadn’t really had much of a chance to say anything to her on the train. She had been too excited and felt rather bad for taking up the boys time before running back to the first carriage to be with Zac and Rusty. However, it had been awesome running between the carriages - she felt like she had such a great group of friends already! Wasn’t that AMAZING. ”I’m Marsha!, She added, frowning slightly as she couldn’t remember if she had properly introduced herself at any point. ”Sorry if I didn’t introduce myself on the train.” Oh well, friends now?
OH! OH OH OH OH!!! LANCE WAS IN GRYFFINDOR! ”It is SOO cool!” Cool totally wasn’t a good enough word. It didn’t describe how in awe the ALMOST-twelve year old was feeling. How did you describe it. She just didn’t know. Honestly. It was just all so overwhelming! Her head nodded furiously, grinning widely as the boys met properly. Whoops! She should have done that on the boats. She was silly. ”Yes! Lance, this is Zac… Zac, this is Lance. You are both awesome!” Because it was obviously true.
She clapped happily as Rusty followed Lance, all hyper and loud and PERFECT. LOOK AT THAT GORGEOUS HAIR. Marsha still couldn’t believe she was in the same year and house as another red-head. AND they were in the Red house… Giggling, the girl thought that meant trouble - though she wasn’t sure how. ”I don’t care as long as there IS food. I am soo hungry I could eat a Hippogriff.” Hungry didn’t even cover it!
OH! Look, someone was talking to her. That was amazing. AJ! That was an amazing name, so pretty. ”Hi AJ! I’m Marsha! And this, is Zak!” She said, point to the boy on one side, before going around their friends. ”And this is Rusty, Evie and Lance!” Check her, wasn’t she AWESOME knowing most of the knew first years in her class already. Hehehe. SHE had made so many good friends already. So important. ”Hogwarts is going to be incredible!”, she agreed, sharing the older Gryffindor’s enthusiasm. ”I hope I don’t get lost though!” She added, the place was HUGE after all.
Hehehehe. Woah. Wait. TALLLLL. Marsha blinked in slight envy at the tallllllll woman who had just introduced herself as Puck. Gosh. Marsha was willing to bet that she NEVER needed anyone to get anything from the top shelvees. Woaaaah. She was SO JEALOUS. HI TALL GIRL!
”Oh! Puck! You’re a Prefect? You must know my… Uh. Kinda Uncle, person… Well… Gabe?” The girl frowned, unsure how to describe ther relationship to Gabriel Banner. Her Uncle’s Brother who wasn’t her actual uncle? Yeah, her family was just generally confusing. ”My name is Marsha, it’s nice to meet you. Also… hidden food? Awesome!”
WOAH! A GHOST!
Her aunts and uncles had told her about the ghosts, but she hadn’t believed them. Seems like everything they had been telling her was all true… Hmm. Maybe she could find unicorns and hidden rooms and go to classes late at night to study the stars… Hmm. Maybe she should have believed them.
”Woah… It’s nice to meet you!” Marsha said to the ghost. Then he PULLED HIS HEAD AWAY. WHAT!!!!!! Her eyes bugged large in her head as she watched him and then he was talking to some of the other students, but she was still crazily trying to figure out how that could possibly be comfortable. IT couldn’t, right? She looked, wide eyed from Lance to Zak and back again. WHAT EVEN WAS HAPPENING???
Looking around the table, Marsha’s eyes lit up as they fell on Hayley. YAY! Another Aunt-type, extended family, figure whom she had no-idea how to explain. She reallllly liked giving herself a complicated mess to explain. When she thought the brunette was looking her way, she waved a little - just pointing out the fact that she had made it to school safely. See, managed to travel without getting hurt! Go her.
Hmm? Shaking her head slightly, Marsha’s attention got pulled back to Lance as she saw paper falling on the table in front of her. Tilting her head to the side slightly she read the page and grinned. A pet rock? Huh. Well… at least if she got attached to it she would never have to worry about it dying on her, like her first kitten had three years before. Whoops, not going there right now! ”Sure!” She replied to Lance, ”Though, can we eat dinner first?” But…. in saying that, food wasn’t ready yet so maybe they could go and adopt their rocks BEFORE dinner. Gosh, she really was hungry. FOOOOOOOD please.
"I just feel like I've gotta meet everyone since we're in the same house 'n stuff. But there are SO many new people to meet! I don't know how you do it," referencing how enthusiastic and friendly Emmylou was being with everyone... Emmylou blinked and blushed a little bit. "How I do it?" She shrugged. "I don't know how I do it. I'm just greeting them." Emmylou really didn't find it a big deal, she was just welcoming all the new students and it was perfectly fine to her. "Thank you, only a few people have said that to me." The family stuff she really didn't want to think about but it was popping up in her head at random times. Emmylou nodded. "I really wish I was able to have a longer summer to see if it would have ended up a lot better." The sixth year nodded. "Me too."

The sixth year couldn't help but beam. It made her happy when she would see someone sorted into the Gryffindor house that was happy to be here. The sorting hat knew where to put you so if you were in any of the houses then you were meant to be there. She giggled at him when he tried to say here name. It was close enough and no horribly off. The sixth year noticed the guy sit back down. Wrong timing? Had to be. As he spoke Emmylou frowned a but. It was clear that he wasn't as excited as her and he really didn't want to talk at all. So why even try? What was even the point. The blonde stood up. "Yes, I'm obviously glad to be back at Hogwarts and you obviously aren't too thrilled to be here or to even be talking to me." Emmylou stood up, this was very unlike her but she didn't want her happiness to be ruined by one person that wasn't happy to be back. If you don't want to be at Hogwarts then why come at all? "I'm very sorry that I bothered you and wasted your time." She said as she walked away.

So there was a vague memory there about her saying something about siblings. Of course, Chance had a hard time trying to remember anything. Well, besides certain spells he found amusing or a secret passage. He knew the basics. The basic basics.
He studied the older boy. "I'm so sorry about that. Poor kid. So he lost his whole family?? At least you are there for him. That's amazing of your family to take him in." It was. Most families wouldn't. It was a testament on how nice Hayley and her family was. Chances eyes found the boy that Haykey had described as her cousin. He grinned because the poor kid looked scared to death. Chance remembered his sorting but he had been a third year when he had come to Hogwarts. Imagine three years before. Man oh man.
"It was good. I interned at WHiM have you heard of that?" It was a magazine and it was kind of free flowing if you got his drift. "How was yours?? Do anything exciting?"
"Me too," Hayley said simply, quietly. She probably shouldn't be discussing Logan's business, but, it was only Chance - surely he wouldn't mind too much, not that she intended for him to know exactly. "Yeah, one by one I guess.." the Ravenclaw mused, and shook her head. "Now, sure, but.. I wasn't there for him at first. I was kind of bratty, didn't know what to do with a teenage boy in the house." There was no point in lying, or pretending she hadn't been. She had, and it wasn't like Hayley at all. Thankfully, Logan was quite understanding and didn't seem to hold it against her any. Her lips tugged upward again, thinking of her parents. "That's how they are."
Vincent had been sorted, another Gryffindor in the family. Him and Marsha both, it seemed. Hayley supposed that would make her job easier, of keeping an eye on the pair this term. Applauding along with the rest of Gryffindor, Hayley's gaze followed the blonde until he disappeared on his way down to join the table.
"It sounds.. vaguely familiar?" And Hayley wasn't even sure why, because her mind was blank as far as WHiM went. "But I haven't a clue, really." As soon as the question had come out of her mouth, it had dawned on her that she sort of opened a discussion she may not have wanted to open, in this case if Chance were to return the question - which naturally, he did. She blushed, almost instantly. "Umm, yeah.. went to a Wrock music festival with Noel and another friend.. that was a blast," as for the rest of her summer, well.. that was a different story entirely. A story which she was choosing to avoid. "The rest was kind of just a blur."
Noticing a rather small redhead waving in their direction, Hayley focused her gaze on the tiny Gryffindor for a moment - realizing just as soon who it was, Hayley couldn't help but feel grateful for the sudden distraction - the Ravenclaw smiled softly and returned the wave, pleased to see one of her two charges were happily making friends and settling in just fine so far.

Angel then heard Penelope saying about pet rock, she might have to try that with fresh air, bottling it and selling it as genuine Hogwarts air. "Hey Penny, how are you?"
Tyler walked over to the Gryffindor table to see that they too had their own ghost, this girl that he was standing near called him Nick.. Nick? that was a pretty modern name for a dead ghost wasn't it? oh wait!! His name was actually Nicholas.. right? riiiigggghhhttt tthat made more sense! More old fashioned than Nick! though Nick was not a bad name but just not old enough for a very old ghost like Nick. But Nick had put himself into this generation and shortened himself to Nick over Nicholas. It still felt strange to see ghosts when you couldn't see them or hear them in the muggle world, but here they were floating around and chatting freely.

She liked to think of herself as the Gryffindor Candy Queen but really she never said that out loud. Spotting a student that she had seen here before in past terms she thought it would be a good idea to say 'hello'. Emmylou walked over to the student (Zeke) and smiled. "Hello." Her cheery, southern accent said.
He was still staring at Sabel when a voice pulled him from his somewhat paranoid thoughts... and fantasies. Blinking, he directed his attention to the speaker, an older Gryffindor girl that he'd never thought to bother before. She seemed nice. Super nice actually, and she had nice hair. "Hi," he said in return, a smile lifting his features. "I'm... I'm Zeke." Or, did she know that already? He wasn't sure, but figured it would be a good place to start, especially since he didn't know her name.

"Anything interesting you see out there Mister" Yup he gave him some respect, this guy was older of course. Tyler looked at the table too, sure they were a bunch of professors, really good ones he was sure but not enough to get this kind of attention.. right? well he would soon find out.. right?
Though before he could really immerse himself into ANY conversation, and before he could continue processing Sabel's sudden HERE-ness... there was a tapping on his shoulder. One that wasn't Paige or Hady. Turning in his seat, his knee propped up beside him, he observed the little Ravenclaw kid. Uhhhhhhh.... did he know this wasn't his table?
But, the question was a good one, Claws were full of those - apparently.
"Er... um... yeah!" he answered, wondering if the kid had come all that way to ask him THAT question. "See that Professor?" he asked, pointing at Sabel, the one of the table in Professor Romanos' spot. Wait... SHE WAS GONE?...... SABEL WAS TEACHING DADA????....... Awesome. Only sad. But so totally awesome.
"I know him, he's my mum's friend, and my friend... we're totally friends." Yep. It was legit.

There was rock candy and pet rocks! Penelope scattered a few of the posters on the table in front of people.
Oh....dear...
Professor Flamsteed had put the young Ravenclaw up to this, hadn't he? Sir Nicholas had already found it a bit odd when, upon his first visit to the the common room after the man's appointment as Head of House, he had first seen the giant rock residing there.
"No thank you, my dear," he said with a polite bow. "While certainly a suitable pet for a ghost, I will pass."
Hardly seemed worth it when he would not be able to lift the thing to begin with.

She then spotted Nearly Headless Nick. "Hi Nick, how are you?" Angel remembered their conversation from the last feast, which had been so fun, she then looked around and saw Lux. "Hey Lux did you have a great summer?" Angel hoped that her friend had.
Angel then looked around and saw a few other people that she knew and they all got a wave, she then sat back and watched as people got sorted into different houses, she thought that it was be cool to watch.
Angel then heard Penelope saying about pet rock, she might have to try that with fresh air, bottling it and selling it as genuine Hogwarts air. "Hey Penny, how are you?"
"That will be Sir Nicholas, if you will," he corrected the Gryffindor in a haughty tone.
Had the young Ravenclaw heard the correction? The house ghost certainly hoped so before addressing him himself.

Zac had picked a GREAT first friend. He nodded and peeked up to see who else was going to be in Gryffindor.
That was... until something caught his attention. Zac poked Marsha on the shoulder, "Look... look it's... a ghost." He whispered.
Izaac marvelled a bit at the ghost that joined them. It took him a moment to adjust to the sight, but he suddenly let out a massive, "Hello!" He'd never seen a ghost before. Even now he thought that it could possibly be an illusion.
Despite being distracted by the ghost, being a Gryffindor, and the general scale size of this hall alone... Zac was still paying attention to the sorting ceremony, particularly the Gryffindor announcements. He smiled brightly at the next first year to join the table. "Hi!" He waved as she sat near them. "My name's Zac, I'm a first year too!" A Gryffindor first year. Still was weird to say that!
Aaaaaand... MORE Gryffindors. More importantly, Marsha's other friend made it into the house too! This was exciting, Zac thought it was time to make his acquaintance. "Hey." He grinned. "You're... Lance, right?" Quickly looking to Marsha with a questionable nod. Nah, he knew he had gotten the name right. He was good with names. "My name's Zac."
"OH! Well hello there. Charming to meet you, my boy," the ghost grinned at the awestruck first year. "Please, do allow me to properly welcome you personally to the courageous House of Gryffindor. I am Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington, but you may refer to me as simply Sir Nicholas."

He waved back, almost as lazily as Nat had done because he WAS tired. “Hi Nat…is that short for Nathalie?” he asked , trying to start a conversation because obviously, he needed friends.
Yoongi turned to look at another girl (AJ) and raised an eyebrow at her. “I have an accent?” he asked. He had been living in England all his life. Well, since he was adopted at the age of four but he never realised he had an accent…unless.. “Ah, I think you mean that guy has a wicked accent” he nudged his head in the direction of Jackson who was sitting close by. She might had mistaken Jackson’s voice for his.
Because he had been seated at the end of the table , Yoongi had not noticed that a ghost had suddenly appeared through the centre of the table until he heard a loud voice saying welcome. He leaned forward to watch. “Hello ghost!” what was his name anyways?
“Thanks!” he grinned as another female Gryffindor (Emmylou) said her welcome. He was liking this whole House thing more and more.
And that’s when he spotted someone who didn’t wear a red and gold badge. But a Yellow and Black one. And he also seemed to wear a P badge like the other boy and and girl he had seen at the table but those were red and gold. Obviously that badge meant something. A leader status perhaps? “Which House is that badge from?” he asked Adi. He still wasn’t good with the whole colors thing.
Was being address simply as 'ghost' more insulting than being referred to as just Nick? Perhaps.
"Hello, living person."

We get to spend loads of time together!" Probably. Not that Rowan had ANY idea how this school worked or anything, or how any sort of school worked for that matter, she'd never been to one, she didn't know what was coming, and that was AWESOME. "What do you think the food will be like? I hope there's stuff with no animal things in, that'd be good." Cause then she could eat, y'know?
She opened her mouth to make another observation or something, but then she saw NEARLY HEADLESS NICK!!! She'd read about him with Robin in Hogwarts: A History!! But he preferred to be called Sir Nicholas, didn't he... she should go and say hi. "I'll be right back guys..."
Rowan slinked over to the ghost, wondering how she'd get his attention, she couldn't exactly pat him on the shoulder could she... "Excuse me, sir?" She felt bad for interrupting his other conversations but he was doing well in holding so many so she'd be fine, right? "Are you Sir Nicholas? I've read about you, I'm Rusty." SHE HAD SO MANY QUESTIONS. "Do you think it would be okay if I could ask you some questions about being a ghost some time? I'm a Gryffindor now and I think you're really cool and it would be totally great cause I've never met a ghost before."
At last. A Gryffindor with some manners about them.
"A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Rusty," he replied with a deep bow and, in thanks to his ruff, his partially severed head stayed in place. "And that would be who I am, yes. Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington." He could not help but fluff his ruff a bit more when she explained she had read about him and his noble lineage. "It would be my esteemed honour to do so. Whenever you wish. I frequent the common room, so I am sure I will see you there sometime. If not, we can make a more formal appointment to meet in the Spirit Room in the school."

Okay then, he would call her as Nat since it's shorter. "Nice to meet you then, Nat." The Korean guy smiled. So, she had a Korean best friend. That explained well how she could recognize him as Korean. Most people couldn't see the differences between Korean, Chinese, Japanese, or any Asian people (Still remembered a little kiddo in Scribbulus thought he was Japanese and talked to him in Japanese.) Physically, they looked same but from the accent and language, of course they're different.
Well, not only the Gryffindor students loved greeting the newbies. Jackson spotted a ghost welcomed him (and the other students). "Hello, sir and thank you." He smiled.
He knew that so many people wondered what hyung and noona meant and he didn't mind to explain it over and over again. He still couldn't leave that though he wasn't in Seoul anymore. "Yeah, it's how I usually called the girl senior." He explained to Emmylou. "Unless you... didn't feel comfortable." Yeah, if she didn't like to be refer as senior he could call him just with the name. Then he explained it to Zander Prefect too. "Hyung how I usually call a guy senior. Since you... a year above me. But, if you don't feel comfortable I can just call with name." He explained.
Jackson then grinned at Adi. "I can teach you, or maybe you want a private Korean language lesson? I'd love to tutor you." If he's interested, of course. He wouldn't force him.
Oh, a co-prefect. He tried not to blink when she mentioned her name was Puck. He was familiar with weird names since some of his friends at Kirin had weird stage name, like he had mentioned before. Maybe if he mentioned his Korean name, people would think that it was weird and very hard to pronounce. So... he just refer himself as Jackson Hwang. "It's nice to meet you." He nodded.
Now he hoped that the food will come very soon. He was starving, and it seemed like most of the students were too.
"You are most welcome," he replied to the newly arrived Gryffindor in an airy tone.
SPOILER!!: Emmylou

No problem at all. The Gryffindor house is amazing and I'm very positive that you will like it here." She smiled. "It does take some getting used to though." It was so exciting. She really couldn't contain her happiness right now but she must. People that saw a bouncy for joy sixteen year old would give her looks and she didn't want to be given looks. "What do you think so far?" She asked, she was curious. He hadn't seen any of the other places but if he needed a guide or something then she would be more than willing to help.
The blonde lioness looked around as more and more students showed up at the house table. There Gryffindors and other students from the other three different houses. It was so exciting and Emmylou was just so social right now but then again this girl was always social. There was a possible chance that she was on candy, craze high. Spotting a student that she had seen here before in past terms she thought it would be a good idea to say 'hello'. Emmylou walked over to the student (Zeke) and smiled. "Hello." Her cheery, southern accent said.
More and more students still kept filing in. This made her so happy. Yes her goals this year were to of course make tons of new friends and get good grades in her all of her classes. After last term she was ready for all of this really! Emmylou looked over at a girl (Heather) that had also just shown up not that long after the younger boy. Emmy had seen her around in the common room before but she had never said anything to her. The blonde gave the girl a wave wand walked over to her. "Hi. I'm Emmylou Duchannes." She said beaming at the girl. Introduction is everything as her grandmother Duchannes would tell her. She was putting that advice to really good use tonight.
EEEEEEEEPPPP!!!
Another new student and he was adorable! Yes some little first years are adorable and there was nothing wrong with that. She saw the boy (Lance) and beamed. The four foot, eleven inch sixth year walked over to the new student and gave him a little wave. "Hi!" She said excitingly. "Welcome to Gryffindor! The best house ever!" Full on Gryffindor pride from this little lioness. She normally wasn't so happy about being in Gryffindor well not out loud like this. "I'm Emmylou Duchannes, sixth year Gryffindor."
Emmylou nodded and smiled at Sir Nicholas. "And a very good evening to you as well." She nodded to him. The sixth year looked at him as he talked and right in the eyes. Which was weird looking a ghost in the eyes but also pretty awesome at the same time. "I think you shouldn't being hanging out with people that mock you! Those aren't the kind of people that someone should be around." Emmylou shook her head. Sir Nicholas deserved better in her eyes! "I could see you have a chance but why just limit it to Gryffindor? There are other students in the other three houses that really like you and would sign it!" She beamed up at him.
Emmylou giggled at Zander. "Tiring? I can relate but I'm not even a prefect and I just keep welcoming new students too." She didn't know what it was like to be a prefect. Just a badge and a title. it wasn't really anything flashy to her right now. Maybe next term it would be or anytime this term. "Just alright.
Looking around more, maybe just to talk to people more her age? That seemed about right but she really did love all the newbie Gryffindors right now. It was just so exciting and she wasn't the only one that felt that way right now. Emmylou waved at Chance, she had met him before. Last term? Yes but she really didn't get around to having out with him because of family drama, school work, boyfriend, best friend/sister/cousin time and can't forget getting her arm broken by their Prefect, it was an accident but it still happened and Zander didn't mean to do it but yes it still happened. "Hi Chance!" Emmylou beamed. Would he remember who she was? She really hoped so. There was also another student that wasn't that far away from her and Chance. SHE SAW HIM WAVE so it was time for 'hellos' and what not. Emmylou waved to him (Michael). She didn't know him but she could know him right now? "Hi!" She said in an even more exciting tone than before. Maybe she shouldn't have eaten all of that candy on the train ride to Hogwarts? Oh well she was being social and that's all that matter right now.
She nodded as he explained to her what it meant. That made sense. Kinda. Emmylou shook her head and smiled at Jackson. "It's really fine by me, I just didn't know what it meant is all." Now that she did she would have to figure out what he meant by it. It was very obviously that it was a good thing. "What do you think of the castle so far?" She beamed more. "I mean the parts that's you have seen so far." The blonde nodded. Turning towards Benny Emmylou smiled more. Her cheeks were really going to hurt in the morning. Yes they were. She really wasn't looking forward to that. Seeing old and meeting new friends and being back here at Hogwarts was just so amazing and exciting and she's a SIXTH YEAR now. She couldn't believe it at all. This was her third term here since transferring from Beauxbatons in her third year but yes still exciting as always. "My summer was alright but mostly filled with family drama but I did have some fun moments." She smiled. "Did you do anything fun over the summer? I went on that field trip and thought it was fun."
Sir Nicholas shook his head. "A gentleman from the noble and prestigious de Mimsy-Porpington lineage does not simply give up in the face of adversity. I must prove to these narrow minded specters that they are the ones whon need to give in," he informed the young woman with an unusual twinkle in his eyes.
Now that was quiet the top notch idea. "Would it be terrible of me to ask for your assistance on such matters?" he inquired, gliding eagerly closer to the young lioness. "I cannot hold on to any parchment or quill, you see, and would need a bright, innovative, and very much still living individual to assist me."

She was cool.
"Are there a lot of hidden places in the common room?" Just a small question so he didn't bug her and her friends too much.
At last. He finally knew the other boy's name. Though surely he could've asked Marsha, but that idea no doubt wouldn't have come up in much later. "Hi Zac," he grinned, giving a short wave. "This is pretty cool, right? It's huge."
And the plates were particularly shiny. Something he duly noted.
Speaking of finally knowing people's names, if he learned anymore, he was going to forget them all by tomorrow. This was an embarrassing case though. The whole train ride and he didn't introduce himself. That was just... wow. "Oh, I'm sorry. I forget...manners," with a look of guilt, he cleared his throat a little before continuing, "I'm Lance. It's nice to meet you. Again."
Again, it took him a moment to register that the person (a SIXTH year of all people) was talking to him but when he did, the young lad had a grin on his face that could've reached passed his eyes. Although, it was official now. He was going to forget everyone's name by tomorrow. "HI Emm...loo," he hesitated with the pronunciation, "Erm, I'm Lancelot, buuuut you can just call me Lance. Everyone does."
Except his grandmother.
Bright blue eyes widened.
The ghost talked to him. With actual words. This was better than the sorting HAT! Except, he didn't remember the hat talking to him, if it did at all, so it wasn't that much of a stretch. Before he could open his mouth to apologize profusely, because he wasn't ruuuude on purpose, something AMAZING happened. Or gross. His brain couldn't decide which.
"OH. MY. STARFISH!" he grasped the bench he was sitting on, leaning awaaaay from the now almost headless ghost. A mix of shock and amazement settled on his features. HE JUST... his HEAD! IT... it just... WHAT!? "ARE YOU OKAY?"
In his state of shock at the display he just witnessed, he was even more shocked when something landed quite close by on the table. A few somethings actually. Out of curiosity, he peaked at what the words said, rubbing at his almost healed up bruised elbow.
"What..." he mumbled, sliding one of the posters closer to himself so he could read properly. "Woah, HEY, Marsha! Zac! Do you guys want to get a pet rock?"
Whether they wanted to or not, he was kinda already getting up from his seat.
Merlin bless innocent first years.
Chuckling as he readjusted his head, Sir Nicholas floated downwards through the table again until he was eye-level with the first year. "Nothing that could not be fixed with a bit of roast beef with caramelised onion gravy can not fix." He moved forward now so that his nose was nearly touching the young man's while his eyes told a very VERY important story - that this was a TOP SECRET mission. "Can I count on you, Sir Lance, to partake on a very important quest for me?"

Adi was keeping Benny company and vice versa so she didn't feel too bad at the moment. Although, she was ready to park it next to her man. You would think they she hadn't been able to see him over the summer, and that definitely was not the case. Ah yes, Zander was still as awkward as ever when it came to fist bumping, and maybe that was why AJ insisted that she did it every time she saw him. No, that definitely was not the case. Surely not. Maybe. Oh. Oh. Oh. Her eyes got all big and beamy, but not quite unicorn trance at the moment. "You thought of an even better plan? No wait... you have even more minions.
Another firstie had joined the ranks. (Lancelot) Man, there sure were a lot of new lions. Had it always been like this? Or maybe she just failed to notice. "Hiiii." Sugar rush here. "Welcome to the best house ever." Was he excited? Did he have questions? Did he want an adventure buddy? He could make a good minion for her unicorn quest. "I'm AJ by the way." Names were important. Mmmhmm.
Floating on by was Nick"Hello, Sir Nick." He was always in a good mood. If AJ was all dead and had to smell food without the capability of eating it she would NOT be in a good mood. Nope. Scaring kids would be her new favorite hobby. "Gryffindor for the cup this year, eh?" Hoorah.
A new firstie girl caught her eye next. (Evie) It was looking better and better for the lions. "Hi there, and welcome to the lions den." Only that was really the common room area. Oh well. It got the point across. "I'm AJ."
Cheerful Lux was someone that AJ always liked being around, and she would miss her when she graduated. Why did all of the super cool people have to be older than her? "Mine was epic. It went by way too fast." Only it didn't bother her that bad because she still got to see Adi at school, but Lux didn't have that luxury when it came to Bay. "How does it feel being a sixth year?" She could have her driver's license by now, right? Only that was a muggle thing.
Angel had finally arrived and she got a smile and a wave. There were too many newbs to say hello to. She would have plenty of time to talk to her sister when they got settled into their dorms. Speaking of newbs, the lion house got another one. Izzac was newly sorted. "Hey there! I'm AJ. You must be pretty awesome because only the coolest of the cool get sorted into this house." That was a fact.
Zeke was here too and he got a bro nod. Yeah, AJ wasn't technically a boy, but she was as close as you could get and it totally counted. Before she could actually speak to the younger lion the boy with the accent caught her attention again. Wait. What? Yoongi was the one that she heard, right? Nope. He was speaking to her and there was definitely no trace of an accent. "Empty stomach," she replied as if that cleared up the confusion. "Well, you have a nice voice too." This wasn't awkward at all? Her eyes darted over to the boy that he mentioned. Guess that compliment was meant for him.
Another new girl. Rusty had joined them, and she seemed peppy. This one had potential. Extra eyes would be kept on her. "Hi there. I'm AJ and welcome to Gryffindor." She was beginning to sound like a broken record.
"Indeed!" he roared, floating a bit further up into the air and puffing out his chest. "I dare say that I expect a victory this year, what with losing BOTH Cups last year and tarnishing our winning streak. And I prefer Sir Nicholas, please."

Zander returned Lux's smile with one of his own as he nodded his head happily. "Yeah, it was great! Kind of sad that we have to be back so soon. But it was good while it lasted, you know?" He looked around the great hall for a moment before turning back to the Hufflepuff. "How was seeing Bay?" 'Cause he knew that was a thing. The reason why she skipped out on the field trip, right?
.... So no one was named Hyung? ..... Now Zander was more confused than before. Uh. "Oh, I get it." No he didn't. Not really. "You don't have to call me a Senior though! I'm not even that old." He was only sixteen. HOLY MERLIN that meant he was going to be of age soon. Woah. Maybe he was a Senior after all. O__________O "We don't get really fancy in Gryffindor... Even Professor Flamsteed hates it when we call him sir," just trying to help the new kid. SEE Zander could be helpful. Sometimes.
"I just feel like I've gotta meet everyone since we're in the same house 'n stuff. But there are SO many new people to meet! I don't know how you do it," referencing how enthusiastic and friendly Emmylou was being with everyone... Though she was just enthusiastic and friendly in general, so maybe that had something to do with it? "Sorry about family stuff," he knew how bad that could get. Even if he didn't really have family stuff. Just you know, with Kevin and how brutal his parents were being with keeping him on lock down. Family stuff was the worst. Right next to potion's homework. "Yeah, I did a lot this summer. Kind of sad that it's over now, but it was lots of fun while it lasted" he nodded, looking around the Great Hall. As for her gut feeling about this term... Ahem... "I hope so." Hopefully no student deaths. Or detentions. Or expulsions. Hopefully just a quiet year at Hogwarts. LULZ. Good one, Z. Good one.
"WELL!" he chirped eagerly, averting his eyes from the prefect for a few moments to look around and make sure that no one was listening in. "To begin with... there was mountains of sand being brought up earlier and I saw your Head of House juggling something that was a vibrant shade of blue and flickering..."
And he would have seen more had both professors not banished him from entering the common room again until the feast was over. And he, Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington, as a man of his word. When he promise not to snoop, then he would not.
SPOILER!!: Natalia

"I would be more than happy to obliged your request, but find I am unable to do so without being granted a proper formal introduction."
He was a very gifted dancer. Had been one of the most sought after at parties held by the royal family during his time as a courtier.
Perhaps he would seek out Helena to give a proper demonstration of his talents.

"Greetings and salutations," he bowed to the first year. "Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington at your service. Resident ghost of Gryffindor Tower."
~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
Well, she certainly was full of herself. "Sureee, you are Natalia the Awesome. I am Aditya the Great Hufflepuff Prefect but I prefer it when everyone calls me Adi.'' The Badger took a great bite off of another froggie. Man, he would never get tired of these things... or any other sweet for that matter. "Congrats on making it to Gryffindor House. Where did you transfer from?" Because she was definitely not a firstie.
"Heya, Angelfish! Ready for fourth year?" Adi called to her the moment he noticed her wave. And heeeeey, Heather and Zeke! Cheerful grins for you two. But just look at AJ go, yo! She was more hyper than usual. It was safe to say she had consumed loads of sweets. Or his habit of being super social had rubbed off on her. It could be a combination of both reason too. Yep.
A question from Yoongi! "It's from the most awesome House,'' Adi said as though he wasn't surrounded by a sea of Gryffindors. But who cared? His mom was a Lion and his bestie and girlfriend are too so that's why he always considered himself an Honourary Lion. "Hufflepuff House.'' Adi pointed in the direction of his House table. "You should come sit with us sometime. We're a friendly bunch.'' Maybe waaaay too friendly sometime. Heh. Anywayyyy, "Where did you go to school before?" Like Natalia, this guy was of course not a firstie.
Tutoring to learn a bit of Korean! Yes, please! "Where do I sign up?'' the Hufflepuff asked Jackson enthusiastically. He was always willing to learn a bit about languages though they always put a great challenge to him. "Er... is it very difficult to learn? Languages always seem difficult for me.'' Except Hindi. He listened to loads of Hindi music so that made it easy for him.
That firstie (Marsha) seemed to be excited. Just look at her waving and stuff. "Welcome to Hogwarts! And congrats on making it to Gryffindor,'' he called to her. "I'm Aditya but call me Adi.'' All these new Lionssss! Well, he had new Puffers too sooo yay for newbies!
Cinna was really starting to get hungry by now. Peppermint toads can only hold a girl off for so long. A eight hour train ride was too long. Looking around at the new gryffindors little first years and even ones that were closer to her age. They were all very friendly or they seem that way. All the baby lions too. Look at them. She was never a baby lion herself. Coming in her third year, she was more of a big baby lion. Emmy too. They both started at the same time. She watched the group of newly sorted baby lions. ( Lance, Zach, Evie, Marsha) Then she smiled a little. "Hey, guys. welcome to Gryffindor." Was Emmy rubbing off on her? Or was it these guys cute little faces? Maybe it was both. It probably was both.

Making her way to the Gryffindor table, Lux waved and smiled at everyone. It was nice to see familiar faces and some new ones as well. Emmy was there and she had to admit that she was happy to see her, but wasn't sure how things were now so maybe it was best not to start a conversation and see how things go. Everything was awkward between them and had been for a while.
Not sure, she sent the Lion a small smile and a "Hello." She did the same thing for Cinna. Everyone else got a wave as she took a seat. "Hello, guys!!" She wanted to talk to everyone!!!
Cinna had seen Lux on the train already. So it wasn't a shock that she had spoken to her at the table as well. Though on the train the sixth year had went off to the snack trolley, shortly after Lux popped onto the compartment. Then she retreated to the luggage compartment the rest of the ride hiding out there. Mostly because she hadn't seen Bart on the train at all. But he was here at the table so he had to have been on the train, right?
Since she hadn't asked her how her summer was she should ask now. "How was your summer, Lux?" Even though her kindness to her did not mean that they were friends. Things had been said that just couldn't be taken back. She probably didn't even realize that what had been said upset her that bad.
SPOILER!!: Sir Nicholas

A greeting primarily meant for those newly sorted students, the house ghost quickly added to his words with an elaborate flourish of his translucent arms.
"And absolutely splendid to see all these returning faces as well. Good evening and welcome back, Gryffindors."
Well if is wasn't Gryffindor's own ghost himself. Nearly headless Nick. She beamed. Yes she was positive that Emmy was rubbing off on her. Now. "Good evening, Sir Nicholas!" Good to know her good mood was still intact.
"How was your summer?" Did they leave the castle too during summer break too? What exactly did ghost do in their free time? Again she looked up at the staff table she was really paying attention to that table this year. No idea why? Wasn't that the tour guide from the trip? So many questions she had. Yes she did.
Seeing AJ, Benny, and Adi all the three wave back she spoke to them "You guys have a good summer?" She figured that they had spent summer together she rarely seen the three apart. Much like her and Emmy or her and Bart. She supposed. She could be wrong. That has happened before.

She just loved Emmy! She laughed as she hugged her best friend, sister, cousin person. Bet no one else had one of those. Just the two of them. They were that special. She laughed even more at Emmys response. "Oh, Emmy you are that and so much more." She kissed her cheek. See only special got Cinna kisses. Hehe.
She almost forgot that her boyfriend was right there, too. It was okay though he would get better then some little cheek kisses later. Hehe. She was rather giggly. EMMY WHAT IS THIS?!?! She was going have to remember to eat her own candy and not some of Emmys. Oh, look Kace. "Hey, Kace." Aww she got a hug from him. She really didn't need to ask how his summer was did she?

Evie laughed, a slightly high pitched laugh, "It's okay, we all forget our manors at times. Are you excited to be a Gryffindor?" To be honest she wasn't sure about the different houses, everyone seemed to be happy about their own respective houses as far as she could tell. But to her it was just where you would sleep.. right? Like a dormitory. You would still have classes and hang out with everyone. But of course what did she know? She hadn't heard of Hogwarts until a month ago. Then the girl from the train also appeared. Ooh she must be a Gryffindor as well!! Finally another girl to befriend. "Hello Marsha, I'm Evie. It's okay there was a lot going on during the train ride and way too many people to be properly introduced." The brunette's smile seemed to get bigger with each moment with her new friends. As she sat and talked to Lance, Marsha, and Zac her stomach began to growl. Where was the food at?
Let your light shine || Be the sun || You're important. Always.

There was no point in lying, or pretending she hadn't been.
[Sorry so short! I'm at work]
Chance nodded at Hayley listening to what she had to say. Summer had been rather interesting. It wasn't as boring as last year. His last years one he had done some traveling but traveling gets lonely with people you don't know very well.
"Sounds like a good summer." Chance said smiling at her. His attention had ventured from the sorting to just her. It was loud in the great hall but he wasn't really paying attention to anyone but Hales now. He kinda got the vibe something else happened this summer but he wasn't one to pry.
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.

Yoongi spotted Jackson waving at him from the other side of the table and he grinned as well. It felt good not being the only Gryffindor transfer student as well that Jackson got sorted in the same house as him. "Yeah you too. Did you bring your pet snake?" he was the one with the snake right? It was difficult to keep track of everyone he just met.

"You said it right" he said. He said as he turned to Emmylou next. "Maybe a bit different but i think it's your accent so i'm not mad" it was hard to stay mad at anything for long. Anyways, it seemed that the girl looked like she wanted to jump up and down for whatever reason but held it in to look more her age. She was excited for his sorting. Merlin's beard he was excited about his sorting! "It's..." he looked around the Great Hall for a moment, searching for words that could describe how he felt so far. "magnificent, like me" yes, he totally just said that with a straight face and now looked at the Staff table. "Is the woman with the red hair the Headmistress?" he asked out of the blue.

"But the Hat had other plans apparently" he sighed maaaaybe just a little but he figured he just had to deal with it. 'Cause so far, Gryffindors seemed like a nice bunch of people. "I went to Charm's school in Great Britain" he answered. "It's a school that specializes in charms obviously" he added because people seemed to like asking what Charm's school was.

Mmmhmm.
He wasn't ever going to get used to people greeting him so positively like this. "Hello!" he beamed, giving a slight hesitant wave. The older girl was talking to him, right? Though she was right, this was totally the best house, from what he's see so far.
"Thanks. I'm Lance," he said, feet tapping excitedly yet lightly on the ground. "Hey, erm, AJ? If this is the best house, what are the other houses like?"

HE was awesome?
Well, he'd like to think so himself, though he'd never really been categorized as that by others. It was, actually, a really good feeling. The young lad sat up a little straighter, toes wiggling in his shoes. "You're awesome too, Marsha."
In case she didn't already know that.

"Lancelot? That's such an awesome name!" She nodded and beamed more. Oh wait! He wanted to be called Lance. "I mean Lance. It's very nice to meet you Lance."
He was quite fond of his name too, though didn't really think about it much until he had to introduce himself to someone new. "Thanks," he grinned, quite proud of the name his mother picked for him. "You have a cool name too."

Ew, onions.
Though he couldn't even be properly disgusted because of the fact that the ghost was literally right in front of his face. RIGHT there. He could just reach out and touch him if he wanted to. Was that possible? To touch a ghost? The young lad's eyes never blinked, nor moved from their wide position. He may have even stopped breathing too, he wasn't sure. There was a ghost in front of him, who could even THINK during a time like this?
Wait. Oh man. Oh man oh man-
"Yes, sir," he nodded hesitantly despite his squeaky confident tone, gripping the bench even more, "Anything at all...sir."
Ohmanohmanohman.

It was totally cool with how many people he got to talk to already, and most of them being older and more awesome students. He couldn't keep the smile from his face, and the greeting from ANOTHER older student was no exception. "The best house ever, right?" he grinned, tapping his fingers on the table, ignoring the way his stomach growled.
That was, at least, what he's been repeatedly told so far from the others.

His guilty expression turned into a small smile, a short chuckle escaping him. The girl's laugh was a bit contagious. "Um... yeah! I suppose. Red and gold are cool colors. Plus, I mean, Marsha is here, and Zac...and you, so," he shrugged his shoulders, glancing down the table, up and around, and back to Evie. "How 'bout you?"

A pet rock?
Dinner first?
His expression fell slightly as he slowly sat back down. He'd seen a few others already leaving towards the entrance to the Great Hall, and he'd hoped to follow them to make sure he was going in the right direction. Plus, he wanted to get a GOOD pet rock.
"Yeeaaaah, I suppose," with a quick look towards all the adults up at the front, he plopped himself back down on the bench. When was dinner going to begin anyways? Did they bring out the food? Did they have to get up and go get it themselves like a buffet? Would there be things he liked to eat that didn't involve onions??
"If by shopping you mean collecting junk and burying it around school? Then sure," Zahra shrugged, no big deal. If he looked under her robes, he'd see she had on muddy digging boots, courtesy of her big brother Copey. She'd went and dug up her hidden treasure for him after getting out of the carriages.
...she'd had a lot of time on her hands while he was at Durmstrang, okay.... Maybe she'd buried junk everywhere to dig up later...?
ANYWHO........... where was that food?
She drummed her fingers on his knee, not EXACTLY being able to get enough of MIKEY TOUSSAINT BACK AT HOGWARTS. "What's the fun of that? I'll SHOW you, Piercy Pants."

Evie smiled at the older girl "thank you. I'm Evie. " To be honest she wasn't entirely sure if the older child wanted to know her name or even cared. It was likely that she didn't really care.
The question asked by Lance made Evie flush again, she didn't know if Gryffindor was a good thing or not, she hadn't thought to ask her mother about the different houses. "umm to be honest I'm not sure, I have never heard of any of the houses other than Ravenclaw. And I didn't know about Hogwarts until a month ago. " The girl bit her bottom lip as she awaited he boys answer, her mother had told her about some people's responses to witches who were not full blooded.

He waved off the offering of chocolate frog. "I'm fine..." Benny assured his friend who would certainly enjoy it more. And surely it couldn't be THAT long until the speech happened and the real food appeared for the hungry travelers. As for the sours, he had a small stash of his own in his belongings so it was all good. The Gryffindor wasn't quite the sweet tooth as his friend was. Maybe that was why Adi was far more bouncing and outgoing.
What was that...Gryffindor was the best house ever?
Ben would certainly agree there, nodding absently along with the sentiment vocalized by first AJ and then Puck who had made her appearance. At least he thought it was Puck. He had to give her another look before the sixth year was convinced it was the real one and not the imposter from the train...Cutty. The female prefect asked about their thoughts and he could only shrug in response to his housemate at first as he mulled over his thoughts. Puck herself seemed amused by it.
"It was interesting...but weird."
The Gryffindor returned the ghost's wave glad for the familiar presence that reminded him he was back at school. Nothing like the oddities or rather less than normalcies of Hogwarts to remind you of good times. And there was the reminder of Sir Nicholas' near-headlessness.
It was Lux's turn to ask about their summers. "It was pretty good," he admitted with a small smile. Friends....creatures...quidditch. It was allllll good. A younger Ravenclaw girl made her appearance at the table...talking about adopting pet rocks? Benny liked pets but he usually prefered the living kind. He might have reacted to her had another younger girl follow along behind her to the Gryffindor table. One that made him smile just a little bit brighter.
Angel had made showed up to the table only to take a seat nearby as she waved at him and Adi. He raised a quizzical eyebrow before waving back and motioning her closer. What was hanging out without one best friend on either side of him, even if one of them rated the title girlfriend in the mix as well. The fourth year wasn't going to get away with trying to stay away this feast, especially since they hadn't caught each other on the train.
Benny then noticed Zeke sit down at the table. The third year seeming a little out of it. He couldn't help but wonder if something was wrong or off or something. "Earth to--" The sixth year breaking off as something caught his attention. The Staff Table? He let his gaze following the other boy's but he didn't see anything to interesting. "Hi," he then decided to greet Zeke since he was more into things.
"Well I went to quidditch camp," he informed Emmylou, not sure what to make of her mentioning family issues. And the aforementioned field trip they had both been on. That had been an interesting time, what with the Loch Ness and other assorted attacking creatures. Speaking of interesting, he was just noticing their tour guide was also another new face on the staff table.

Haha, look at Angel being fashionably late. "Hey! I had a great summer. What about you?" It had been a while since Lux had seen Angel or AJ, so it was nice to catch up with them. It was also nice to see Zeke again. Somehow she had missed the fact that he was here...probably because he seemed zoned out and in his own world. "Hey, Zeke! Did you have a nice summer?" she asked with a smile.
Still smiling, Lux nodded at AJ as she talked about summer. It definitely had gone by too fast, but maybe this term would go by fast too! One could dream. "It's pretty nice to be a Sixth Year! I get a break from exams and one year closer to the real world." Yep, she was very excited about this as much as she loved Hogwarts. "So how does it feel to be a Fourth Year?" Next term were the OWLs.
"Summer definitely went by too fast." She definitely agreed with Zander on that one. "I wanted to go for my drivers licence, but I just didn't have the time to what with everything else. So it will have to wait a bit." Ah well. Maybe she could start lessons over Christmas holidays!! "Seeing Bay was awesome. Have you spent time with him lately?" Lux knew that he had been Zander's first friend at Hogwarts.
SNORT.
Gosh, Lux adored Nat already. She could tell that they were going to be awesome friends. "I'll never forget about you. And I'm sure that you will make loads of friends at Hogwarts! I have." Everyone was so friendly and accepting of others. It was a great school and she would love it forever. "My ride was pretty good. Long. How about yours? Did you enjoy the Chocolate Frogs and Cauldron Cakes?" Candy was always amazing unless it was Jelly Slugs or Cockroach Clusters. There was no way she would try the latter for as long as she lived!!
Cinna had left Lux on the train, so the redhead had to admit that she was a little surprised that the other girl responded to her. Honestly she didn't have any idea what she could have said or done to cause a problem, but maybe Cinna was mad at her again. This was a big part of why she was hesitant to talk to her lately. Things were being civil at least so that could be taken as a good thing. "Oh, my summer was great! I just wished that it lasted longer. How was yours? Did you enjoy the trip?"
So Benny had a nice summer too. "Did you go on the trip?" It seemed that most people had, but maybe a few others had missed it as well. Lux had no idea. It had sounded like a lot of fun, though.

The family stuff she really didn't want to think about but it was popping up in her head at random times. Emmylou nodded. "I really wish I was able to have a longer summer to see if it would have ended up a lot better." The sixth year nodded. "Me too."
The sixth year couldn't help but beam. It made her happy when she would see someone sorted into the Gryffindor house that was happy to be here. Well he knew what they were going to be doing with their spare time. "You know maybe you should think about becoming a Cursebreaker. You seem to have this thing with finding treasures." Or perhaps a grave digger since she also seemed to like digging holes but he kept that comment to himself. He didn't want to give her ideas.
While she was tapping his knee, Michael had his fingers wrapped in her hair. Although they had spent most of the summer together, they had been apart for two years before that and he just had to touch her just so that he knew that she was really there. With his free hand he picked up his goblet and was just about to drink when he choked out a laugh and almost spilled his drink. "Piercy Pants, huh? That's a new one." He gave her hair a small tug. "Don't be dissing my piercings woman, you know you love them." He threw in an eyebrow waggle to stir her up.
He had almost forgotten that he had been talking to someone else. The arrival of his girlfriend had distracted him from everything else. But what the hell? Michael stared at the girl's retreating back with a perplexed look on his face. WHAT DID HE SAY??
He turned back to Zahra and shrugged his shoulders. "Obviously she's not taken with the Toussaint charm." Eh her loss.

SPOILER!!: Zander is in so deep.
Uh? Uh? UH? What did it take to make this boy happy? She had given him an amazing opportunity. Sure, a student was eaten last term by a giant spider, but what were the odds of that happening again? If she wanted to know the actual odds she was sure she could ask was of those eagle kids. In fact she had a sister in that house. Only thing was that she really didn't give a hoot about the odds. Where was the fun in that? See how easily distracted she could become? Now where was she?
Ah!
"Perfect." They were in agreement. The whole food thing needed to happen before she could come up with some super sweet plans. Although, she didn't wanna plan too much because that would be boring. She was more of try it out and hope for the best kind of girl.
SPOILER!!: Marsha
So far AJ was loving the spunk of the new lions. This is just what Gryffindor needs after that devastating lost last year. Ugh. she couldn't even think about it. Losing was not okay, and she needed to move her little thought process on. "Hi Marsha." Oh wow! The younger lion already had so many friends. AJ smiled at each one that she introduced to her. "Sup?" Hopefully there were all as cool as Marsha seemed to be.
AJ laughed. "Getting lost is part of the fun. There are so many cool and hidden spots in the castle. I highly recommend getting lost." Oh wait, she couldn't let the firstie go on not knowing a certain little detail. "Try not to get lost before class though. I once got out of trouble be meowing for being late, but if you are late in Bellaire's class she will eat you." No lie.
SPOILER!!: Mentions of Zeke & ghostie!
"Indeed!" he roared, floating a bit further up into the air and puffing out his chest. "I dare say that I expect a victory this year, what with losing BOTH Cups last year and tarnishing our winning streak. And I prefer Sir Nicholas, please."
There just wasn't enough of her to go around. Only she did have a twin, but nobody would believe that Angel was AJ. Not if they knew her well at all. There would be plenty of time to catch up with the others that she hadn't got a chance to speak to just yet at the after party. There was always one of those. AJ noticed the nod returned, and she gave her attention to her house ghost.
"We have it in the bag this year." They just had to. AJ would make sure to not lose any points this term. Well, that might be taking it a bit too far. "Losing is no fun." That was the understatement of the century. AH! AH smacked her forehead with her palm. "Oh course. I'm sorry Sir Nicholas. I forgot. I love using nicknames." In fact she insisted that nobody call her Aubrey. It just sounded weird.
SPOILER!!: Adi
But just look at AJ go, yo! She was more hyper than usual. It was safe to say she had consumed loads of sweets. Or his habit of being super social had rubbed off on her. It could be a combination of both reason too. Yep.
This was one of the first times when she didn't stay seated beside Adi at the feast. It was as if she couldn't stay still with all of the sugar coursing through her veins. Not to mention that she was super pumped by the new firsties. They were going to have this cup in the bag. She was sure of it.
AJ tried to catch Adi's eye, and when he seemed to be looking in her direction she have him a warm smile. As soon as everything got settled down, she would back by his side once more.
SPOILER!!: Cinnamon
Seeing AJ, Benny, and Adi all the three wave back she spoke to them "You guys have a good summer?" She figured that they had spent summer together she rarely seen the three apart. Much like her and Emmy or her and Bart. She supposed. She could be wrong. That has happened before.
There was Cinnamon. AJ really liked the older girl. In fact there wasn't anybody that she really didn't like. Well, other than Ian and Bellaire, but no need to go there during such a happy time.
"My summer was lots of fun. How about yours? How does it feel being a sixth year now?" Another friend that was going to graduate before her. Did she have any friends her own age?
SPOILER!!: Lancelot
He wasn't ever going to get used to people greeting him so positively like this. "Hello!" he beamed, giving a slight hesitant wave. The older girl was talking to him, right? Though she was right, this was totally the best house, from what he's see so far.
"Thanks. I'm Lance," he said, feet tapping excitedly yet lightly on the ground. "Hey, erm, AJ? If this is the best house, what are the other houses like?"
"Hi Lance." He seemed to be hesitant at first, but AJ just brushed it off as him being overwhelmed with everything going on. Already he kind of reminded her of Zander.
If? IF? No. Just no. "There's no question that this is the best house." People said that it was a matter of an opinion, but she knew better. Fact was fact. "Well, Ravenclaw are full of super smart people. So if you need to borrow notes, they are your best bet. They can be a boring lot though. My sister is in that house and one time I didn't see her for weeks. I'm pretty sure her nose was in a book the entire time." B-O-R-I-N-G! "Hufflepuff's are full of super happy and helpful people. If you think Gryffindor's are nice, try multiplying that by a thousand and you get a puff. They are the second best house." As far as Slytherin goes...
"People told me they are really mean, but I haven't met a mean one yet. This one kid let me dangle of his plank in class. I think you have to be related to the snake dud to get in that house though." She took a breath because when she started it was hard to stop.
SPOILER!!: Lux
Still smiling, Lux nodded at AJ as she talked about summer. It definitely had gone by too fast, but maybe this term would go by fast too! One could dream. "It's pretty nice to be a Sixth Year! I get a break from exams and one year closer to the real world." Yep, she was very excited about this as much as she loved Hogwarts. "So how does it feel to be a Fourth Year?" Next term were the OWLs.
"Oh yeah. Adi was practically a zombie last year. How did you do on your OWLS?" AJ was sure that she did well, but it was still polite to ask. AJ had only one more year before she would have to endure them herself. Yikes.
"Umm...I dunno. I'm kinda just stuck in the middle. I'm not one of the young ones anymore and I'm not considering a old one either. I bet this is what it feels like to be the middle child."

"Not smart enough for that," Zahra commented off-handedly. If COPERNICUS was a Cursebreaker, then it was obviously hard and junk. Plus he almost DIED and he's super smart - so like, "I'd be dead in a week." Or a day.
....she did enjoy looking for treasure though.
But she also enjoyed pizza and mashed potatoes and foot massages, so what did that even mean.
Toussaint and his piercings. She rolled her eyes playfully at him and JUST BARELY managing to not punch his chest. "I like the IDEA of the Lion riding a motorcycle tattoo.... Maybe you should have told Emmylou about that. THAT is sure to charm ANY red blooded Gryffindor." But mostly her. Meow. Hehe. HEHE.
