This time, both houses changed players to roll for them. The Snakes chose third year Jenna Hensley. Ravenclaw was having trouble deciding, but they chose Prefect Sophie Brown over TiaMarie Mancini in the end. This time around the result was different; Ravenclaw's roll just edged out Slytherin's. "Two points for the eagles," she said, recording the result. "Last question of the round." Brown and Ashcroft took to the court again. Sophie seemed to have picked up some sort of luck on the bench during the short break. She was getting her house's stone closer and closer to the Slytherin's stone, and the goal in extension. "Ravenclaw scores 3 new points at the end of the third round. Ravenclaw leads 10-8, as we head into the fourth round!" Leo declared. The eagles sent out prefect Sophie Brown and the snakes Zhenya Burton. The two girls swung their shooters and kicked at their stones. The green stone circled a series of obstacles before it knocked head first into a new one, the collision causing it to stop. The blue stone surpassed it's opponent and a 3 more obstacles before it too stopped to claim the points. "1 point to Ravenclaw!" Zhenya and Sophie remained on the court for another battle with the stones. The two girls swung their shooters and watched their stones take off. The green stone rolled around several obstacles before it suddenly stopped and oozed out a cloud of smelly gob that floated in the direction of the viewing area. The blue stone surpassed its opponent for the points. "2 points to Ravenclaw!" Leo announced. Seventh year Eden McGee stepped in for the eagle side and took her shot. It was a decent shot, landing about 6 inches from the goal. However, it seemed Slytherin was being indecisive. "I need a Slytherin player, please.." After awhile, Tiara was tired of waiting. "Ravenclaw points. You need to be quicker between points, Slytherin." Apparently Slytherin took Tanner's words to heart. They were ready to go first on the next roll, with Jenna Hensley taking the shot. It was a beauty, causing Sophie Brown's face to be hit with a rather large stream of gob. "That's more like it. Thank you, snakes. Take the point." Cilla Ashcroft now stepped up to take the Slytherins' shot, as McGee switched out for Brown. The green stone made a swift start but ended up rolling too far and past the Jack Stone. McGee's roll landed a few inches from the target and released its smelly gob onto Ashcroft. "Two points for Ravenclaw. Last roll of the match!" It was sixth year versus seventh year in the last roll of the round and the match. Slytherin's Mordaunt went first, his stone landing about three inches from the goal. McGee's stone started off solidly, but began to slow too soon. It inched up close to the green gobstone and came to rest barely touching it. Both stones shot a steady stream of smelly gob into McGee's face. "Points to Slytherin!" Tiara announced. But even the great last rol couldn't turn the tide. "That's the last roll. Ravenclaw wins, 18 to 12! And an excellently played match on both sides, might I add." The previous match had been far more lopsided. "Well done, and thank you all for coming out, both players and fans alike. Now off to homework and studying, everyone!" she said with a smile. That was likely the last thing they wanted to do. Final Match Standings: Ravenclaw 18 points - Winner! Slytherin 12 points Player of the Match: Eden McGee |
