| | |  Gobstones Consolation Match: Gryffindor vs. Slytherin
 The building used for the Gobstones matches had had its doors closed against the winter's cold. Its surfaces magically dusted by Professor Tanner and Mr. Kitridge, the school's Gobstones sponsors, and made ready for the term's consolation match.
The red and green marbles were set out and the playing 'field' had been marked. Chairs were set out on each side of the arena creating a Viewing Area for those not playing.
OOC: Remember only members sorted into Gryffindor and Slytherin Houses can post in this thread, it is not a chat thread and there is no RPing.
Read the Gobstones Rulebook before playing and if you did last term, please check again for potential updates and changes.

After the strange round with no score, the next roll was very straightforward. Hwang and Burton took their places, both releasing their stones with confidence. The red marble made its way towards the goal, making a looping pattern before stopping mere inches from the target; the green stone had little hope to beat that position, and sure enough, it landed several inches further away. "Gryffindor scores," Tanner announced.

The sixth year Gryffindor Atreyu now took on the fourth year Slytherin Ashcroft. The green roll cam first, wending its way towards the goal a bit too quickly, going past by a good six inches. And finally they had arrived at the final throw of the match. First year Lancelot McWitty was given the honor for Gryffindor. His red marble rolled around an obstacle, then spun slightly to head right towards the Jack Stone. It came to a stop mere millimeters away. Slytherin, knowing they could not hope to match such a shot, decided to concede defeat.
"Gryffindor wins!" Tiara announced with a congratulatory smile. Which only left the announcement of player of the match. "Today's player of the match is.." Here she paused briefly for dramatic effect. "..fifth year Gryffindor Jackson Hwang! Well done. Great game Gryffindor and Slytherin both. And thank you to all the fans for watching the consolation match today!"
