When you take the stairs from the Common Room and head to the left, you find the doors of the dormitories allotted for the females of Ravenclaw House. Each year has their own room, but don't worry, they are all furnished the same and are roughly the same size with the help of Extension Charms on the Tower.
Each room is circular with large windows. On windy nights you can hear the wind whistling around the windows; some even find it to be a very relaxing sound. The room is complete with four-poster beds covered in sky blue eiderdowns spread out along the walls with each owner's trunk at the foot. The comforters and privacy curtains are a lovely shade of navy velvet. The bedside tables are navy blue and all details are in bronze like knobs and so on. Above each bedside table a good sized mirror hangs. Connected to each dormitory room is also a bathroom.
Use this room to rest after a hard day of classes, relax after Quidditch practice, or to just hang out with your housemates.
**Remember no boys allowed in here. The stairs will prevent this...

It was the beginning of her fourth year, and Penelope was busy unpacking some of her things and decorating her bed with colorful origami butterflies charmed to stick to the blue privacy curtains. The butterflies would look great, as long as Orion didn't decide to eat the origami butterflies and destroy the privacy curtains. Orion had a cat bed, letterbox, and food and water bowls, which didn't take up much space in the dorm. He needed to be fed and the litter box needed daily, but other than that and some grooming and cuddling, Orion didn't need much. Orion was sitting on her bed and watching Penelope as she charmed the butterflies in place. There, another butterfly done.

Abby walked into the dorm and saw Penelope decorating her bed and said "Hey Penelope you have a good summer?" Abby was glad to be back at school and couldn't wait to do more things that were fun this year

Penelope was sticking another butterfly on the bed when she heard someone enter the room. Turning around, she saw that it was Abby. "Hey Abby. I had a good summer, but it's good to be back at school. How was your summer?" This was going to be an important year at school. She would be learning more things that they would need to know next year for OWLs, and it was never to early to start studying.

There was only so much that books could teach you when it came to practicing spells. Looking over at Abby's bed, Penelope saw that Abby was putting up a Holyhead Harpies poster. "Are you a fan of the Holyhead Harpies?" Penelope didn't know a lot about quidditch, and because they no longer had quidditch at Hogwarts and she was not particularly interested in learning more about quidditch, it was unlikely that she would find out much more about quidditch anytime soon.

Studying! It was nice to have helpful study partners. "We should study together." Abby had gone to a quidditch game over the summer? That sounded interesting. "I heard that someone threatened the school and that's why we don't have quidditch at school anymore. I don't know if they're actually trying to do anything about it, though." It was a shame, especially because they didn't even give flying lessons anymore.

"It might be fun to sign up for quidditch in the summer." Penelope wasn't planning on actually learning to play quidditch just yet. She would have to learn to fly without falling off the broom first, and because flying lessons were no longer offered at school, it was unlikely that she would be learning to.

Abby preferred to study in the library. That was good. "The library is a great place to study. It's quiet there and there are a lot of books." If they didn't have lessons all of the time, Penelope would probably spend even more time in the library than she already did. Penelope usually did her homework in the library, and she could often be found doing research of her own in the library during her free time. Why would anyone threaten quidditch at Hogwarts? Who is your favorite teacher and why?
My mother was my teacher before I came to Hogwarts. For that reason, she will always be my absolute favorite teacher for sentimental reasons. She's very, very intelligent and knows a lot about many different things, especially creatures. It's kind of expected that I would choose my mom, though, so what I'm going to focus on today is my favorite professor at the only other school I've been to besides being home-schooled. That would be Hogwarts, of course!
My favorite professor is Professor Tiara Tanner. Why? Well, the reason for this dates back to a time not so long ago. It was my very first day at Hogwarts--EVER, and the first years had just been sorted. I hadn't been at the Ravenclaw house table for long, when absolute chaos broke out. To be honest, I don't even know why chaos broke out or even who was involved. Everything was so new to me, but all I knew was that I felt all alone and was away from my parents for the first time, and the only people around me were complete strangers.
Kids around me started arguing with each other, and I remember wanting to crawl underneath the house table. I didn't, though, because I didn't want to seem like a little scared baby in front of these people I was trying to impress. Professor Tanner came over then and made everybody settle down. She stopped all the chaos, and everything slowly returned to normal. She was so nice to me and made me feel safe again. From that moment on, she's always been a welcome sight for me. She kind of makes me feel like this is a true home away from home.
