Now that classes are back in full swing and you have gotten use to the every day routines, why not relax a bit on a Friday morning? As you enter the Divination Tower you will see the room looks like a banquet hall. Long tables are set up with Professor Morgan's desk at the very front. The tables have all kinds of vegetables, cheeses, fruits, and sodas, as well as milk and water.
There is music playing, but not the calm relaxing music you are use to when it comes to entering the classroom. This time it is fun and upbeat tunes. Professor Cassie is humming to the music happily at the front of the classroom. Of course she is wearing her comfy clothes, since it is comfy clothes Friday!
There is a note on the board;
Quote:
Welcome! Come in, have a seat, and grab a plate. Enjoy the food before class begins. Don't forget to place your proud moment in the snapcup as well.

Zhenya was actually proud of the fact she had not had detention in her time at Hogwarts. "She would find that so funny! I'd hate to think of what our detention would be like for farting…" it could get rather disturbing, actually.
Zhenya smiled warmly at her dear friend. Glad she knew he knew she was there for him. THE HUG WAS THE BEST! Zhenya beamed at her friend "Well you make one great partner too, you know, fart buddy," she said. HEHE. Then HIGH-FIVE!

Hady didn't say anything for about a minute or two as she listened. There really wasn't much to be heard other then a small grumble or two. She had figured Angel was hungry cause that's sorta what it sounded like, a tummy rumbling from hungry. "All I hear is a very faint rumble. So I just figured you might be hungry." Hady answered her friend with a small shrug of her shoulders before grabbing her quill and parchment to jot down her findings even if it wasn't much.
"According to the notes on the board though it sames small gurgles which could be like a rumble maybe, means that there may be a small challenge of some sort heading your way." What that meant she wasn't entirely sure but she looked at Angel to see if she would know. "No though, I'd have to say you're not dying at all." She laughed quietly.
Angel smiled. "Well as long as I'm not dying then I'm good, if I was dying you would tell me right?" Angel was scared now. "Professor! can you come and make sure that Hady is telling me the truth?" Angel giggled. "I think she's hiding something from me." Angel was just messing with Hady and she hoped that her friend knew that, but a second opinion couldn't hurt though right.
Angel then decided to see what she could hear in her friends belly. "Sonorus!" Angel said when she was sure her friend was ready, she hoped that she could hear something cool but it was going to be hard, she wasn't good at listening for different sounds.

"Nope you're not gonna die." Hady repeated shaking her head before suddenly adding with a playful grin, "At least not on my watch." Surely she was just teasing and was holding back a laugh to show that. Then she heard Angel calling for the Professor for a second opinion and she couldn't hold in her laughter anymore. Laughing she shook her head at her friend. "Hey some day I'm gonna be an awesome Healer and you'll regret asking for that second opinion...sure maybe a creature Healer but still." She was still grinning so clearly she was joking and knew her partner was also.
Now it was her turn though. Dropping her hands to her sides she kept still waiting for the verdict. She only had a bit of soda and a slice of cheese but her stomach hurt now. She didn't think it was the food or drink being the cause but her laughter. "Do you hear anything?" She asked quietly wondering if her tummy was being quiet or if Angel could her the gurgling inside.

"Not very surprising." Shrugging, the fourth year grabbed out her own piece of paper containing Lux's records and began to interpret them.
"Your results are probably going to be a more positive..." Except, maybe for that strange voice.
"Ummm..." Besides the fact that the first two interpretations somewhat contradict each other, Natalia noticed another problem. "It looks like there aren't any translations for that voice..." Should she ignore it? Make up something?
Lux couldn't help but snort at Nat's comment. Not because she wanted anything bad to happen to the Lion, but because of the sarcasm. "Maybe it's related to your OWLs. I know I got super stressed about mine." Smiling, she shrugged. Nat was only one year away from hers.
Curiously peeking at Nat's paper she had to agree that her reading sounded more optimistic. "I like the sound of this. I need a vacation from all that stress." It was super icky. All Lux needed was her friends and her boyfriend. "I'm not sure about the noise either. Maybe it was just a strange grumble?" That was as good a guess as any!

"NUUUUUU...don't remind me about it!" OWLs. Natalia had been notified multiple times of this standard wizarding exam that she would soon be taking in her fifth year. But Natalia was only a fourth year; she needed to prepare for the exam this early? Noticing Lux's smile, the Lioness knew she probably didn't have much trouble with hers.
"Looks like you're going to have a good year!"Until we find out what the voice indicates. The fourth year gave her friend a little reassuring smile despite the skepticism; Lux deserved it! Why couldn't everyone be as amiable as Lux? Around the charming Hufflepuff, it was difficult for Natalia to display the slightest insolence BECAUSE SHE WAS JUST TOO NICE. It pained Natalia to be so blunt around people that were so kind to her.
"The lesson's going to be over soon. We should probably pack up." The Lioness suggested as she began to gather all her belongings and loading them in her bag. "Do you want to keep this?" Natalia held the piece of parchment with her interpretations on it. "It is the proof of your pleasant future!"

Though the sound was a bit interesting and she wanted to ask if he ever heard a dying cow before.
Once he was finished with his reading she gave him a smile, "I think it's time to move on and finish up, what do you think?"
Moving to the front of the room once more she cleared her throat, "Alright everyone, you have done such wonderful jobs! It's time to take your seat, I won't be keeping you much longer." Waiting as everyone found their seats once more Cassie moved her wand to bring up a few things on the board. "Now in more modern Gastromancy people like to use this on living people, they say you can find out many things just by listening to a persons stomach. Do you believe that to be true?" She looked around just a few moments to see if they nodded one way or the other.
"If you open your book to page 300 you will find a list of those meanings when it comes to Gastromancy. What I'd like you to do before you leave today is write down what the meanings are for the person you listened to and share them with that said person. So I did a reading on Ethan." She paused, he wouldn't mind she used his sounds, would he? "Now Ethan's stomach had some longer sounds and then shorter mixed with longer. If you look in your book you will see that the longer will say that you will have some high stress with a very difficult challenge. The smaller ones mixed in says you are worried about something that will come. So having them both Ethan's high stress could be what he is worried about." She looked at him with a bit of concern. She didn't want him to have any high stress.
Looking back to the class she gave a little smile, "You have about ten minutes left of class, so go ahead and figure out what your partner has based on the sounds they made." She was going to have a cup of tea while they were working.
OOC: You guys are awesome! I have loved reading all your posts! I will be ending class in about 24 hours, so just figure out your partners gas meanings and let them know!
Where they done listening to each other's stomach sounds now? Penelope took her seat again when Professor Cassie told them to. The lesson would be over soon, and although Penelope enjoyed being in Professor Cassie's classes, she was ready for the lesson to be over. After drinking all of that soda she needed the loo, but she could wait until the lesson was over. Penelope opened her textbook up to page 300 and copied down the meanings of the stomach sounds.
SPOILER!!: notes
Quiet/no sounds- Calm, Stress free near future, good things to come.
Small gurgles very minute or longer- Possibly a little stress in the future, a small challenge may come.
Small gurgles close together- Possibly worried about something that will come.
Loud long noise- something will cause high stress, a challenge might be very difficult.
Lots of loud noises close together- Very stressed, bad things may come.
Burp- you don't hold back, you will speak your mind.
Fart- You are not a stress type person, You usually can handle many things
Hold gas in- You can be a worrier and need the approval of others.
Only ten minutes left in class now. Penelope wiggled around in her seat a little bit as she read her notes on Eden's stomach sounds. Small gurgles meant possible future stress or a small challenge, and a loud long noise meant high stress or a difficult challenge. She scribbled down her interpretations of Eden's stomach sounds on another piece of parchment.

Penelope hand the parchment to Eden. "Your stomach meanings mean that there might be stress and a challenge in your future." As to what kind of stress she didn't know, but Eden was a seventh year and would be taking NEWTs. That would probably be stressful. Penelope shifted around in her seat uncomfortably. How many minutes were left in class now? Did Eden still have to do the interpretation for Penelope? Penelope wasn't really paying attention to the lesson anymore. Was the lesson over yet? She needed the loo. Note to self: never drink soda at the beginning of a lesson. Only a few more minutes left in class now.

Eden copied down what Morgan had written on the board, and quickly, too, so it resembled complete chicken scratch. Oh well. She could at least read what she had written. Ands he also made a few more notes on what she had heard in Penelope's stomach, too. Just a bit more detail was all.
"Well..according to my notes..your stomach noises mean that...well, you would have a bunch of gurgles together--something challenging is on its way--and then a lot of silence, that something good will come, and no stress. So maybe you'll have a bit of stress and then...happy, no-stressy time?" That was Eden's guess.
Who would have thought there'd be a whole line of STOMACH NOISE Divination? That was just...wow. That was entertaining. And...a bit funny. People were so weird.
...Was Penelope doing the potty dance?

If Ilia was feeling awkward about this whole situation, Leah did not notice at all. At first, she was simply disgusted by all the uh GAS from everywhere. But people were laughing and enjoying themselves, so why not join in the fun? She finished the last bite of her peach as she heard - or smelt - somebody fart. She smiled and shook her head.
"Sure!" she said as she completed taking her notes. She was kind of nervous to have her stomach sounds being heard by somebody else. Well, best to be honest about it right? There was no point holding her breath or anything like that.
...
Ooops. Leah blushed at the loud rumbles from her stomach. Was that even HER? This was embarrassing. She looked around the classroom casually, hoping that nobody except her partner heard it. Her partner - who was trying to stop herself from laughing out loud. Ilia was SO sweet.
She laughed a bit at that. "Yeah, that would explain it. My stomach is SINGING in joy," she said. That was when the Professor instructed them to finish up. The Fifth year shrugged at the question. She had no idea. She flipped her book open to the right page and read the Gastromancy meanings. This was AMAZING, how you could tell one's future just by listening to their stomach.
Leah looked up at Ilia before reading her gas meanings out. "So, you are calm. I CAN tell that much even without listening to your stomach sound. You have a stress free near future aaand good things to come." Everything was well then! She smiled, but remembered the small gurgle near the end. "Oh wait, you also possibly have a small challenge coming in the future," she said with a frown. That was strange. Ilia was so close to being a stress free person!
Ilia was surprised at how relaxed Leah seemed around all of this.........flatulence. She shook her head and smiled at things, and Ilia had to respect her undisturbed seeming disposition.
When she saw Leah blush, she didn't blame her but wasn't going to embarrass her. That wouldn't be very nice. She smiled a little when she said it was singing in joy.
The professor told them to finish up and she just sort of shook her head. She thought it was all blarney and.........stinky. She would be glad to be done with this particular class, that was for certain. She opened up her book and looked to see what meaning the sounds had.....other than that the girl had eaten an interesting mixture of foods and then danced.
When Leah said she could tell that Ilia was calm without the reading, she felt a small blush grace her cheeks and she smiled at the other girl softly. Perhaps that was a compliment? Small challenge, if she believed in this stuff....she wondered what it might be. If it dealt with her parents she saw that as more of a big challenge. "In all lives, a little rain must fall, right?" She gave her friend a reassuring smile.
Reading , her eyebrow raised a little as she was supposed to 'interpret' the sounds. "According to this....supposedly..." She had high emphasis on 'supposedly' as she was highly skeptical of all of this. "You are worried about something that may come, and there will be something stressful or challenging in your future."
Of course there will be.......isn't that true for everyone? Silly fortune cookie stuff....

SPOILER!!: Zeke
It seemed as though AJ was about ready to do her thang as well, so it was a good thing he was able to get this over and done with now. Yep. Hehehehe.
"What is it saying?" Was his stomach moaning about anything in particular, or just general vibes? Heh. Even AJ's words of encouragement were greatly appreciated, but weren't at all needed. The grin on his face said it all. Aaaaaahhhhhhh, it was nice to have a class where no class was needed. GEDDIT? He chuckled to himself at the thought.
Zeke had hoped for some kind of verdict, was he going to die? Was his fart the Grim? Was he going to be rich? Have a baby? Rule the world? He was really hoping for rule the world! AJ's actual verdict however, was MUCH better. MUCH BETTER. An 8, out of 10? An 8!
"Thanks, I do what I can," he shrugged off, sitting himself up now, his shirt back down.
"My turn to do you! Get yourself ready!"
Hahaha... what could you do besides laugh? This whole process was funny and entertaining. All AJ knew was that she was going to beat his 8. A 10 would be nice and more of what she was expecting, but a 9 would do. Once they got the fart rating all over and done with maybe they could actually see what it meant. It seemed as if the professor was kind of pushing that point anyways.
Anywho, it was her turn and they were running short on time. AJ plopped herself down where Zeke was laying, and raised her shirt up just to show her lower belly. "All set." Time for her belly reading.

SPOILER!!: Ethan
After doing his reading, Ethan nodded at the woman and backed away from her so that she could address everyone else. See, the thing with partnering up with a professor was that he got an instant reading, and by a professional, nonetheless. His stomach though, which he thought was behaving, now told everyone in class that he’s stressed over something...and that it will be about a long, stressful, arduous challenge of some sort. Well, could it be possible that he’s stressed about pooping in his pants after eating all the fibre available on the table??? Possibly, and the boys’ bathroom is pretty far from where they are now...so.
Ethan got his parchment, and quickly scribbled the noise made by Professor Cassie’s stomach. He then consulted his book and looked up to the woman. Well, the reading may have some truth to it, because...it says on his book that a loud, long noise (probably resembling a dying cow, yes) meant that something will cause high stress, and that it will be a great challenge for the person. “It’s definitely not the cheese professor. Sadly.” He said tilting his head and giving the woman a sympathetic grin. He was sure that she'd choose cheese over problems, yeah? “I suppose the stress will come from...handling a class full of wizards and witches...plus...well, looking out for all of us in general.” Right? What kind of professor would like to deliver one’s child home dead after school? Even Professor Quigley, given his nature, is pretty vigilant with his class, what with his rules and stuff.
Ethan closed his book and took a seat near the professor, and served himself some tea. Given his reading, he needs to prepare for it by sipping some nice, warm liquid. Should calm his intestines too, you know. He didn’t want any...accident along the way. Yup.
Looking over and smiling at Ethan she chuckled, "Well the cheese probably helped make the noises louder for you to hear." So she wouldn't be sad about that, "Though I'm very glad it's not a dying cow." She chuckled giving him snaps, he did a great reading. "I wouldn't say that all my wonderful students give me stress, but there will probably be stress along the way." She had been dealing with some things, but she assumed they were nothing and moved along with it.
She listened to many of their meanings and conversations as she sipped her tea. "Good, very good everyone." When she heard Angel she made her way over to see what was going on. "No, I think Hady has done a fine job with your reading today." She even got snaps for such a good job.
"Alright everyone, I don't want to keep you from lunch or your next class. Listen for a few moments and then we will be done." Moving back towards the front of the room, she grabbed a basket and set it on the table. "This here is your homework. It is a little vial of potion. Slip this on a cookie or even a piece of broccoli and it will make the digestive system work a little faster so you don't have to wait a certain amount of time before the noises start. Your homework is to give this to someone and record their stomach noises. Of course you should probably ask permission before making someone gassy, but you will do what you just did today. Listen to the noises and then write down the meanings. I will put a notice up in the next hour to explain it again."
Checking her watch, she gave some snaps, "Take any food you wish and have a wonderful rest of your day."
OOC: That's a wrap everyone, I'll close the thread after work today! Thank you for making it such a fun lesson to read!!

Turning his head and putting his tea cup down, Ethan watched as the professor procured a basket and showed them the vials. Homework, eh? Of course, of course. And should they ask permission before making someone gassy? LOL. Not necessarily, he guessed. It’ll be more fun if the person was unsuspecting, yeah?
As soon as the woman gave the cue, the Slytherin gathered his things, and went up front to get his vial. The teen placed it inside his trouser’s pocket and gave Professor Cassie a grin. “Thanks for partnering up with me Professor. I’ll see you around.” With a grin and polite nod, the seventeen year walked towards the trap door, and straight he went for the boys’ bathroom.

"Okay, okay," he said, nodding, wand at the ready... putting on his faux CALM I'M GOING TO DIVINE YOUR GAS FUTURE face.
It was easy enough a spell to perform, and so confidently he exactly that. "Sonon... no..." no... "Sonorus!" YES! Yes!
And almost immediately, he could hear the rumbling of the coming storm. Something was brewing, that's for sure. Grumbling, rumbling... it sounded fairly consistent...
"Let it go, I wanna see what you've got." Or not, whatever, if she wanted to be a holder she could... he just wouldn't be able to score her fart.

The professor was just about to wrap up this lesson, but AJ had yet to release the beast. She wouldn't be getting up until all of her gas that had been holed up had the fair chance to be heard. After all of the butt clenching and pain she endured... it just wouldn't be fair.
It looked like Zeke had the hang of the spell, and good thing to because she was in no position to help him out at the moment. The pain was getting worse and she really hoped he had the chance to log her belly rumbles because her leg was hiked and her face was red.
RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP
The sound alone was enough to make you jump and wonder if you were under attack. Just when you thought there wouldn't be a smell you were hit with a skunk on a hot summer day aroma. AH. All of the pain had been worth it. AJ was out of breath and she high fived herself because it was that epic. "How was that?"

He was ready for it, TOTALLY ready for it... or more to the point, he THOUGHT he was ready for it. But the second the sound escaped her no-longer-clenched-bottom... he knew he was wrong.
Zeke's eyebrows rose, his eyes widened, his nose wrinkled, and he smirked in amusement.
Wow.... the girl could fart.
Just as AJ had done, Zeke used his self-inking quill to scribble on his note-taking parchment. It was obvious what the score would be. Wasn't it?
When he was done, he held the parchment out in front of her, a very LARGE number on it with exclamation marks 1000000!!!!
"That was... epic." Best thing he'd seen all day, really.
"And I think you're like me with the whole divining part," he said indicating to her the textbook.

Penelope listened to Eden as she did her interpretation of the stomach sounds. A little stress and then no stress. Sounded pretty good. It was so interesting how you could tell things about people from stomach noises. Penelope shifted around in her seat. Was the lesson over yet?
Professor Cassie was speaking. Penelope turned what little attention she still had for the lesson to the professor. Homework... potion... shorter time until noises start... listen to someone's noises and record it. She could do that. Was that it? Could they go now? Oh, she still had to grab a potion vial. As soon as Professor Cassie said that the lesson was over, Penelope went to the front of the room and grabbed a potion vial from the basket. "Thanks for the great lesson, Professor Cassie." Pocketing the potion vial that would be needed for homework, Penelope walked to the trap door and exited the classroom. She was headed straight for the nearest girls' bathroom.

SPOILER!!: Zeke
Zeke's face told a story. AJ could see all of the emotions he went through as his face changed. Disbelief, amazement, and shock. It was all there. Bet he didn't think a girl could fart like a man.
His quill was moving, and AJ could hardly wait to see the verdict. She bit her bottom lip as if what he wrote on his paper would mean she passed or failed. The lion didn't even get this nervous about actual exams.
10! Woot!!! And not just a 1-0, but multiple 0's. AJ beamed as if she had just been told she was the top of her class. The fourth year looked over at his notes. "Yeah, I think we are the same." She jotted down some results to show that she did more than just fart this class.

"I added one more to you because of what I heard before your fart. Looks like you might be worried about something that will come. I don't know if I agree with the worrier part... that's so not me." Or even him for what she could tell. Not that she was 100% sold on Divination in the first place. "I had a good time farting with ya."
Angel giggled when Hady started speaking. "I know Hady, you will be awesome!" Angel then suddenly heard the Professor. "Okay Professor." Angel knew that Hady was amazing, she was an amazing friend and an amazing work partner and Angel wanted to work with her more often.
Angel looked at Hady as she tried to figure out what she was listening to in Hady tummy. "I hear some sort of gurgling noise, so like me you aren't going to die." Angel giggled knowing that her friend would want to know about this since it was important right.
Leah smiled back at the Slytherin. "You sound like a philosopher," she commented. Which was a rather good thing, trust her. "but yeah, that is absolutely true." Nobody could have a perfect little life, after all.
She licked her lips nervously as Ilia read her interpretation. The Fifth Year repeatedly told herself in her mind that this was NOT going to change her future. Not by much, anyway. It seemed that the other girl had the same idea, as she seemed doubtful about Divination. "Hmmm," she thought, "I don't think I am particularly worried about anything currently - unless you count O.W.L.s. Yep, O.W.L.s." And her love life, which she was VERY concerned about. But she was not going to talk about THAT. Especially not in front of Ilia, who seemed strangely close to one Fourth Year Hufflepuff.
She turned around as the Professor assigned their homework. Leah did not pay much attention though, she could always check the notice for more details. "Thank you for being an amazing partner, Ilia. See ya," she grinned and stood up to pack her things. Then she made her way to the Professor and got the vial of potion. This little thing could make people fart like crazy? She smiled and looked up at the Divination Professor. "Thanks for the lesson, Professor Morgan. Bye!" Leah walked out of the classroom and to her next lesson.

She had too much food for now.
A philosopher? Ilia was pretty sure she'd never been told that before , but she politely smiled at Leah.
When Leah spoke about it, Ilia remembered that she was a fifth year. That would.....actually make some sense. She nodded and smiled at the girl across from her. "I suppose O.W.L.s would be enough to make anyone worried or feel like they have a challenge right?" She still had one year to go before she had to take on O.W.L.s. Though, she oddly enough wasn't overly concerned about it. She had a lot more on her mind than that right now.
The professor announced the end of class and Ilia was silently rejoicing. Away from the fart fragranced air! No more breathes tainted by the scent of bottom breezes! Ilia held her composure but could have nearly bounced out of the door. "You were wonderful as well. Thank you and see you around." She bowed politely and filed out of the classroom. She was taking a looooonnnnggg shower as soon as she got the chance.

"Something terrible, no doubt. And it would probably last all year long.'' Hehe. "We would be detention buddies too!'' More laughing from Adi. This was the most he had laughed in a while, yo.
HIGH FIVE, Zhenya!
Annnnd there was Professor Cassie announcing the end of the class and homework. Of course their homework involved getting someone gassy. This was going to be fuuuuun! He wondered whom he should work with. Hmmm. Anyway, he would think about that later. The Puffer jotted down what Cassie said even though he would get more details later. "All set to go, Zhenya?" Adi wanted to get to the Great Hall for food!
Cinna was done with the younger girl. We'll not done yet. She still needed to look up the meaning for all of the girls rumbles and gurgles. She looked up and jotted down the meanings of the readings. So.... Let's see there was a long rumble..... Which meant something will cause high stress, a challenge might be very difficult. Those rumbles wasn't loud but they were long. She didn't know if the volumes mattered much or not. There was short little noises too meaning that maybe the younger girl was possibly worried about something that was coming. She told the girl her findings which was interesting. The sixth year thought it was too soon for the younger Ravenclaw to freak out over OWLs.
So that we're finished with the lesson she couldn't believe how fast the class had gone by. She scribbled down her homework assignment. Packed her bag back up. She grabbed the vial and stuck it in on the top of her bag. Swinging the bag across her shoulder. "Thanks for the interesting lesson, professor. See you around." She grabbed a handful of food and headed out the door and back to her common room. At least she wasn't as hyper as she was when class started.

Haha, oops. "Let's forget I said that." Yep, no OWLs to worry about until next term and then she herself would have NEWTs. Now that should be a lot of fun...
Oh well, no point on worrying now, and the younger lion was being so nice. "I'm sure you will have a good year too!" The stress bits weren't everything, and there was still fun to be had because life was meant to be enjoyed. "Sure!" Lux added as she took the piece of paper with her interpretations on it. "It was awesome working with you" With a wave goodbye she headed back to her seat.
Professor Cassie was wrapping things up, and the homework sounded interesting. Yummy cookies. Jotting everything down, Lux then grabbed a vial and placed it in her bag. Time to go. "Thanks for the lesson, Professor Cassie! Have a good rest of your day!" And with that she was off.

Awh, class was wrapping up already? Zhenya nodded to Adi, shoved her things into her bag and stood up. She walked to the front to collect the potion for homework, trying not to think about it too much right then. She would need to have a serious think about who she wanted to give it to, and whose gas she wanted to listen to. "Thanks for such a fun lesson, Professor Cassie," Zhenya said, then turned to her partner, "And thanks for being such a GREAT partner, Sir Fartsalot," she giggled.

As the students started gathering their things, Cassie decided she would start cleaning up the room. Just as she bent down to pick up some items off the floor she heard a loud noise and lifted her eyes. Goodness the food worked good on someone. Seeing Aj and Zeke she chuckled a bit. Were they still working on readings or just having some fun with noises. Either way she was glad it seemed like hte lesson was a success.
