Classroom was back to normal, and Eden could feel her shoulders relax a little. She kept thinking about her mam...and how Irene hated cemeteries so much...hmm. Next time she wrote a letter home, she would probably include this class. She did miss her mother...

But now they got to play with stethoscopes!

WHEE.

That was cool. Eden figured she needed a partner, though...she had a stethoscope..she had a wand..and she could totally do sonorous...she just needed a PERSON now. And, she was also a little confused about what they were doing...

Thank goodness that was cleared up. To tell the truth, the blonde wasn't a big fan of conflict. Even though she was constantly telling her brothers and sisters otherwise in vague threats that were impossible to carry out at her small size, she was all talk and no walk.

"Hi Cinna. So we just listen to each others stomach's and see what we find, right?" The third year giggled a little bit. The concept just seemed so weird to her. It was like being a kid and playing doctor, except you were a psychic and a doctor and you were a specialized stomach doctor. Although, getting really into schooling meant trying new things and trying things you weren't exactly good at or liked, and that was what Ophelia was trying to do.

Maybe the little blonde should tell the older girl that she wasn't entriely good at Divination before the entire classroom blew up or she told the older student that something really bad was going to happen.

It happened once to her sister when she was trying to practice Divination at home. --Divinating? Was that the word for doing Divination?-- Ophelia was supposed to read the book, but the letters got slightly mixed up in the textbook and she had trouble reading. So the then ten year old guessed and apparently told her sister that she was going to suffer an illness. Maybe it was for karma's sake that Ophelia had been the one to get sick after. But then again karma was kind of mean..... soo.

"Do you want to go first or should I?" Getting to the point, always a good thing. Well that, and the thirteen year old was kind of hoping Cinna would go first, considering the fact that she was slightly scared there would be a catastrophic incident the minute she attempted the spell. At least this way it wasn't her fault.

See, see, SEE? Adi knew Zhenya would be his partner. So, the charm it was! "Alrightey,'' said the sixth year, putting even more cheese in his mouth. Gosh, this boy and food! Hehe. But by 'first' did Zhenya mean him casting the spell on her first? He figured that must be what she meant and anyway, it didn't matter to him. They both had to get the job done.

''Sure!'' Swallowing the cheese and now grabbing a raspberry, Adi popped it into his mouth as he pointed his wand at Zhenya's stomach. Nope, this wasn't weird at all. Just two friends practicing Divintion.

"Sonorus!'' Oh, hey! The spell worked! He could hear all these gushes and sounds emitting from his friend's belly. COOL! He grinned at the Snakette as he reached for his parchment and quill. "Sounds like a crowd in there,'' he joked.

Right! Now he needed to write down what he heard. Er... how exactly did he do that? 'A loooong gurgling sound'? 'A loud rumble like Kace's burp'? :blink: Hmmm. The Hufflepuff tilted his head to the left side before he started to make notes:

Henric didn't quite managed the sonorous charm perfectly because he wasn't too fond of graves. He was a little uncomfortable to be honest...but he did it anyway.

And now they had to listen to each other's stomachs!? How incredibly odd...but its divination, it was expected. He stood there awkwardly, waiting if anyone want to partner with him. He found it quite embarrassing if he had to listen to a girl's stomach. So his option was to listen to a boy's one...Noel. But Henric wasn't sure if he should ask him or not. He didn't mind partnering with him?

Angel know had to find herself a partner because apparently they were actually going to try this out. Well she supposed it could be fun, though of course it wasn't as much fun as getting to use a crystal ball... she loved them and wanted to learn more about them.

"Anyone want to be my partner?" Angel decided that she might as well ask the whole class, someone could hear her right.

Ilia was still simply thoroughly disgusted by the entire idea of this class. Stomach sounds weren't as disturbing as straight up farts, but they could be precursors. Who's pre-fart noises should she be subjected to listening to?

Boys had to be worse to do this with......that kid from across the table from Henric that let that thundering mouth cannon of a belch rip......there was no way that she was getting partnered with him! She had better pick someone in order to preserve herself. Or....at least take the lesser of evils.

Preferably not a guy, or if a guy it was going to have to be Henric. HEr best friend didn't get placed down with the hang ups she might have around other guys. She looked at Leah and Henric who were close to her. "Do either of you want to partner up?" Someone please save her..........seriously.

See! This was the reason why AJ loved being a Gryffindor and other lions. They were down for anything. Even Zander had agreed to assemble troops out into the forbidden forest and snag AJ a unicorn or two. Where else could you find a better lot of people? "I can plop on their bellies while you hold their legs up. Teamwork got things done, people.

Just as AJ was getting her ducks in a row, the scene in front of them vanished and they were back in their regular boring old classroom. Bummer. "Next time." BYOS! (bring your own shovel) Ohhh... they were going to be able to listen to each other's bellies. This could be interesting.

"Anybody wanna work with me?" She was super fun, and would even fart if you wanted her to.

Natalia anticipated working with Lux. Aware of her friendly personality, Natalia felt at east to practice without making a fool of herself.

"The stethoscope." The fourth year responded immediately as she had already experienced with the Sonorous charm. "The charm didn't work... at least not for me when I tried it." After making the decision, Natalia walked over to the table and grabbed a stethoscope before returning to her waiting partner.

"Do you want to start?" Natalia offered the stethoscope to her partner first. She wasn't convinced that she knew how to detect stomach noises with the stethoscope, so it was better to examine how the other students operate the tool before doing it herself.

People were pairing off left and right, and AJ was wondering if there was anybody left at all. For a brief moment she thought about just going over and casting on Zahra because she already had her shirt up and what could be easier than that? It didn't look like she had a partner. What was the proper 'casting on someone without their knowledge' etiquette? And did AJ even care about that?

Before she hang long to mull that over, she had a taker. Looking over she was pleased to see it was Zeke. AJ beamed at the younger lion. "Hey, Zeke!" He was always fun to work with. "You're in luck too because I think I had one too many pieces of cheese." And her stomach was protesting.

Partnering with AJ was probably one of the best things he could have done this lesson, cause, she was all sorts of awesome, and this gas thing seemed a Gryffindor thing to him. He was practically ready to let one rip... it was building in him.

"Awesome," he grinned, "I've had cola, so... I'm good to go, just make sure you get me before anything escapes, not sure how much I'll have after it passes." Just saying. Y'knowwwwwwww ....

"So did you want to do me first?" Just in case. Letting it rip and missing out on the awesomeness of whatever sounds it was his stomach and guts were making would be a crying shame, truly.

Stethescope it was!

"I don't think the charm worked for me either." Or at least she THOUGHT it hadn't; maybe there just hadn't been anything to hear where she had performed it. No matter, because Lux was sure she knew how to use a stethoscope based on doctor visits.

Totally fine with going first, she nodded and took the stethoscope so that she could hear Nat's stomach noises. Putting it on the same way she had seen the doctors do it, Lux carefully listened. "I hear gurgles and rumbling. I guess because you are digesting what you ate." Made sense to her, and she definitely didn't hear any burps because one didn't need special hearing to pick those up.

Turning to her notes, Lux recorded her observations:

Zeke was officially a favorite of hers. You couldn't just fart freely with any ol' average Joe. The acceptance in his eyes was enough to make her heart swell. In fact she was so comfortable that she had to clench her butt a little just to make sure she didn't get ahead of the game.

AJ also had quenched her thirst with some carbonated goodness. "I feel ya!" They were on the same page. Oh, but the bases were loaded. It was game time. "Deep breaths. I don't wanna miss anything."

"Looks like I better," she said with a grin because AJ could tell that Zeke had some epicness brewing in his belly right now... if it didn't already make its way lower by now.

The lion was going to give the spell a go. "All set?" That was a dumb question. It was obvious in his face that he was ready. "Sonorus." Umm... she should be able to hear the sound, right? "Hang on." This is what happens when you get involved with digging up graves with Zahra... spells didn't get practiced.

"Sonorus," she said with authority! Sounds could be heard. YES! "Maybe you should lay down for this." Or not. Whatever he was cool with. So far AJ could hear some gurgling noises, but was that all he had?

... Yeah. This lesson was turning strange. Because listening to other people's stomach sounds was simply fascinating.

And Leah was not completely sarcastic either. It did seem interesting. Disgusting but still. She turned to her table of friends at the mention of partners. She was fine with anybody because they were all quite close. She smiled at Ilia's question. "I'll be your partner." She looked at Henric, wondering if he wanted to join them or partner up with Noel. She did not want anybody left out. That would be sad.

She pulled out a piece of parchment and a quill to take notes. "Do you want to use the charm or the stetho-thing?" Leah asked as she helped herself to a peach. She was slightly more confident with the Sonorus Charm, mainly because she was sure to mess things up with the muggle material.

Just when he was about to introduce himself to Mr. Gibson, the charmed setting was gone. Not that Ethan’s complaining really. He liked the current setting better, thank you very much. He’d been awfully silent all throughout the class so far, but he was rather content in observing his classmates. As soon as they were told to get the stetho-thing, Ethan got a pair and examined it.

Muggles have a complicated life, just saying. The Slytherin placed the earbuds in his ear, and placed the listening device on top of his belly. Well, yes he was hearing something...and if his estimate is correct, he’d need to take a bathroom break soon.

Eheee. Whoops?

Oh good. Someone wanted to work with her! Eden's slight panic evaporated. "Yes! Yes, we can work together--" she said with an eager nod. Eden vaguely knew Penelope...she was cool.

"All right so...we just...have to cast the charm and listen to each other's noises? And write it down?" Just to clarify. Eden was probably in LA-LA land when Morgan explained it...so...eh. She swung her stethoscope around just a bit, and gently, too, as she eyed the partners around them. It looked like that was what they were doing. "You can listen to my tummy first." She said with a nod.

This would be....weird. And hopefully interesting?

"Um...I'm sorry if I...." She lowered her voice. "Fart." HOW EMBARRASSING. EDEN REFUSED TO DO IT.

Kace grinned and got his stethoscope in his hand and he moved closer to Emmy. He placed it on her stomach and he didn't hear anything at first. Then as soon as he listened closely and tuned out all the noises from the classroom, he heard some gurgles. He smiled up at her and then took his notebook and began to take some notes. He took out his quill and had pen in hand. He listened to it again and took some notes,



Now he smiled down to Emmy and said, "Youre turn." He wondered what she would hear.

HECK YEAAAHHHHHHhH! STETHOSCOPES! Toby even managed a little fist pump when it turned out that his second attempt at the same answer was correct. Also, more course for celebration: NO MORE GRAVEYARD. That was good, Toby liked that.

So, he could use the sonorus charm, easy, but seeing as he was so enthused about the stethoscopes he went ahead and grabbed one of those too. And though Professor Cassie HAD said about pairing up, Toby wanted to test things on his own belly first. Just 'cause. For fun. Y'know. Also, he'd seen Zahra do it too, which is where he'd got the idea.

"Sonorus!" he said, pointing his wand at his own stomach and then hooking the ear things of the stethoscope into his ear lugs. Pulling up his shirt and flashing a bit of belleh, Toby placed the flat (and COLD) end to his stomach and listened. He'd had a LOT of soda, too, and that AND the charm AND the medical equipment made for a successful test run.

"Theeere's a rumbly, iiiiin my tumbly," he sang under his breath, casually bopping his head and trying to blindly find his way back to his parchment and quill as he listened (seeing as, y'know, he had to bow his head right down for the stethoscope to stretch). Then he should probably find another human to work with. Yep.

Gurgles and rumbling? That sounded normal. As long as there weren't any abnormal sounds, like a human voice, Natalia was perfectly chill by any results. "Yeah, I had a tuna sandwich half an hour ago." Natalia explained, waiting for her partner to finish recording her observations.

"Okay, your turn!" Natalia set up the stethoscope and was ready to begin experimenting. "Ready?" The fourth year was beginning to feel like a muggle doctor. Where did the professor attain these medical instruments? Even Natalia, who grew up in a very muggle family and background of high academic degrees, have never even touched a stethoscope before. Those devices were also quite expensive, right?

Turning back her attention to listening to the stomach, Natalia moved the chest piece all over the place, attempting to catch the slightest vibration. "Oooh, I got it- oh nevermind, it was your heart." Natalia chuckled at her frivolous mistake before moving the chest piece in circles again.

"Oh, I think I got it!" After a few minutes of struggles, Natalia had finally caught a sound coming from the gastric area. The fourth year also recorded her observation on a piece of parchment.

Umm...

WOAH HELLO.

One minute, misdirected wandering around, looking for his school things that were, in actual fact, in a completely different area of the classroom. And the NEXT... blonde hair. Blonde hair everywhere.

OH. It was Zahra. Heh. Good job they hadn't bumped heads. How upsetting would that be when they both had their own helmets to avoid just that.

He straightened in PRIDE at her assessment. "THANKS! I had like three sodas." Nodding, lots of nodding. "I'm a well oiled MACHINE."

Just chuck all the metaphors in a blender, Toby. That's right. "Lemme hear yours, too." He brandished his stethoscope. He still didn't have his note-taking things, but #YOLO okay, he'd do that later, this was for funsies.

Zahra cracked up that Toby took that as a compliment.

He would. So Huffypuffy.

Without even a moment's hesitation, Zahra pulled her shirt up over her bellybutton. "Hold on. Lemme jostle it all around for you." So she did a good bit of bellydancing (poorly), sucked her gut in and out a few times in rapid succession, and poked her organs.
