This Charms Lesson finds you back in the safe comfort of classroom 2E. Needless to say the hour is as early as it usually is and the crisp spring air pouring into the room should provide some form of waker upper. If not, the Professor will have something special in mind.
Like always, the windows are opened wide, letting in the bright rays of the morning, making the room seem possibly brighter than it actually is.
The Professor stands leaned against his desk, munching on an apple with his gaze toward the window. This lesson....was going to be interesting to say the least and that was largely due to all the unknown variables that were likely to present themselves.
For now the room is silent, the board is empty and waiting for the days small notes. His wand is placed beside him. To all who walk in, he might seem perfectly relaxed--though really he was exhausted and needed to stop planning lessons overnight. Maybe...just maybe then they wouldn't have so many unknown variables. Some food for thought right there. The man would have to seriously consider it.
So come right in, have a seat, the lesson will begin shortly!
OOC: The lesson hasn't officially begun yet, feel free to RP your students' arrivals and all that fancy stuff. Do remember the rules as you post. I should move this class when I get home from work tomorrow.

"That's because you stole my brain,'' Adi joked to AJ. Grinning, he just stood off to the corner with her, watching Marsha and Brian have a go at the spell, starting with the younger Hufflepuff. Awwh, he seemed to be having difficulty with the spell but that wasn't at all surprising. Adi had been probably worse at them during his second year. But Marsha was very encouraging and patient which was totally cool on her part.
Since the younger students were working on the situation, Adi just shut up and watched them. They could do this! And he was right! Brian eventually got the spell! "Awesome job, Brian!'' Adi was always proud of his Hufflepuffs, you know.
Next up, came Marsha's turn to try the spell. Again... it was no surprise on the failed attempt but she soon got it as well. "Way to go, Marsha!'' Holy Hippogriffs! Brian had fallen to the floor like Adi had! HAHA! There must be something with Puffer guys because the Gryffie girls got down much more gracefully.
"Great job, both of you!'' Adi was super pleased for them. Oh yeah! How about a high five for him? "Here, have a frog. Don't make Quigley see though, lest he takes them from you.'' He handed from his robes, one frog to Brian and one to Marsha. For their hard work and being awesome.
Was he forgetting AJ? Nope, he was just not giving her any on purpose. For now, anyway. Hehehe.
Toby had noticed no sudden inner doubts or turmoil or worrying on Maggie's part. Nope. None at all. Perhaps he should have been a little more in tune to his young Charms partner's feelings and stuff, but some people were good at being cooooool, calm, and collected, and Toby wasn't always great at picking up on certain things.
BUT ANYWAY. The spell had WORKED and NOTHING HAD CAUGHT FIRE, which was a huge bonus. And then Maggie was falling falling falling GRACEFULLY and-... oh...
"You okay there, Maggie?" Toby asked hopefully, holding out a hand to help her up if she wanted it. She was down, though. They'd both done the spell right. HUZZAH!
OUCH!
Not her nose. But her ego.
The floor was all bouncy so she didn't really hurt herself. Physically that is. Her face was fine. But it must have looked AWFUL. How EMBARRASSING! How had she not thought of that? Of course when her back was stuck to the wall she would fall face first. UGH! Dumb, dumb, dumb. She was so dumb.
Maybe she could borrow that one house elf's spatula and hit herself with it.
So instead of getting up right away, Maggie just stayed there for a moment. Which was probably even worse because it only drew attention to the fact that she was lying facedown on the floor. So when Toby approached her, she did lift her head to look up at him, looking all miserable.
"It hurts." Her ego.
But she took his outstretched hand anyway and pulled herself up on it.
Kate nodded as Angel told her not to worry. Kate was only slightly worried. If Angel couldn't perform the charm, there was at least somebody in here who could. Surely in a class full of students and a professor, somebody in here had mastered the spell. "It's okay, Angel! I know you can do it," she encouraged.
She frowned as Angel continued to say the wrong incantation. How hard could Avexis be? Kate was just about to correct the girl again, when Angel finally said the correct incantation. "That's it!" Kate exclaimed, and she wiggled just a bit. "It's working! I'm starting to break away from the wall!" Only one or two more tries, and she should be freed from the wall!
"Try it again! I bet you can get it with one more try!" she told her.
Angel was glad when she got it right after a few tries, now all she had to try and figure out what was going on. "Avexis!" Angel knew as soon as she said it that it was wrong.
"Avexis!" Angel raised her wand and did the wand movement. "Don't worry Kate, I promise to get you down before long." Angel now had to figure out if this time the spell work. "Come on please." Angel didn't want her friend stuck up their forever.

"It's okay, Angel!" Kate called out. "I know you can do it! I'm almost unstuck!" It was true. On that last try, Kate had actually wiggled free just a little bit. It wouldn't be long before the spell would work for good, and Kate would be back on her own two feet.
Kate grew quiet as she heard Angel attempt the spell again. On that next try, one of Kate's arms came unstuck. "Look, Angel! You're doing it!" she said. Which was good, because truth be told, Kate was starting to get worried. On the next try, Kate's entire body save for one of her arms came unstuck.
"Try it one more time, Angel!" she encouraged. "My left arm's still stuck."
Despite her mild concussion, Janelle was enjoying her time hanging out on the wall. That was not something you did every day. "It is weird, but I like it. Too bad we can't do this more often." Only the next time, Janelle would plan her leap a little differently........like minus the head bang. She couldn't help but laugh back at Eden. This whole situation was strange, but she was enjoying every minute of it.
The time had come for Eden to try the spell. Janelle braced herself and waited for her partner to cast it. She was certain that Eden would get it right. Janelle seemed to have more confidence in Eden than Eden had in herself. Before she knew it, Janelle was free from the wall. She had prepared herself so when she dropped to the floor, she was ready. Once she landed, she turned to Eden with a grin. "I knew it would work!" Giving her partner a return high five, she continued. "I knew you could do it. Thanks so much for working with me." Janelle appreciated the fact that Eden was nice enough to be her partner. They made a good team and the lesson had been fun. "What are we supposed to do now?", she asked.
Eden was quiiiiite pleased that Janelle hopped down with such ease, and she smiled. "Oh good...I was nervous I wouldn't get it right. Like I said--I had a lot of trouble with it earlier when we were stuck on the chairs." MEH.
Hmm. She glanced around. "Well I could jump again--and you could try again? Maybe?" she grinned and before Janelle could answer--Eden hopped up and STUCK to the wall, back first, and giggggggled a lot.
Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite
Things could have been worse. Truly. One of them could be dead knowing the luck this lot sported and how coordinated they didn't tend to be so from all looks right here, with everyone still breathing Maddox was willing to call this lesson a success.
What better way to end on a success than to end before someone could mess it up?
"Alright everyone, bring it up." The charms Professor waved his hands ushering everyone over to him, even those still stuck to the wall. "I like what I saw out there today, real good stuff. As a treat for not getting yourself inexplicably and unnecessarily injured I'm letting you off without homework."
They could thank him later when they reviewed their piles of homework ad realized there was one less. For now though, "Grab your stuff and you're free to go. I'll see you later this evening Miss Hapgood." Or had she already forgotten.

"WHEEE." She kicked her legs bath and forth.
Janelle was caught up in the celebration. She and Eden had both accomplished the spell, one of them a little more successful than the other. Before she knew it, Eden was jumping for the wall again. Just as she stuck her back to the wall, the professor decided to end class. Well Janelle couldn't just leave her partner hanging tee hee.
Giving the spell one last try, she pointed at Eden and said, "Avexis" That should do it......she hoped. "Thank you so much for working with me Eden. It was a lot of fun."

Angel looked at her friend she wanted to get her down and she wanted to get her down now. Angel concentrated really hard on the spell, seriously she wanted to do this right not for her sake but for Kate's she would be sad if Kate was stuck up there forever. "Avexis!" Angel said after thinking for awhile.
*please work*
Angel then heard the Professor speaking, oh was this the end of the lesson, she went over hoping that Kate would be able to follow if not she would have to ask the Professor to get her down.

Cool!
Marsha and Brian were done just before Quigley announced the end of class. This had been a fun one and it was even better that they didn't get any homework. Adi grinned at AJ. "Looks like he heard us,'' he told her before gathering his belongings. He waited while she gathered hers then told Marsha and Brian he would see them around. Go enjoy those Froggies, kiddos.
"Fun class, Professor! The whole sticking to the wall was brilliant.'' And the best part of the lesson. Mhmmm.
"Hurts?" Toby replied, looking suddenly concerned as he helped Maggie back her feet. Oh no, he'd HURT her? Removed the charm too... uh... aggressively? OH NO. WHAT HAD HE DONE. HE WAS A MONSTERRRRRRR. "I'm so sorry. What hurts? Are you okay? Can you walk? Shall I carry you to the Hospital Wing?"
BUT THEN Toby heard Quigley's voice and he turned his head to look at him. YAY for no homework as a reward for not dying or maiming themselves, but Toby wouldn't celebrate quite yet because D: MAGGIE
He turned his attention back to her now, ready to apologise a million times and carry the Slytherin kid wherever she needed to go if that was what it took to help her.

She and Dot had done a mighty fine job and now she wanted sustenance. Would Dot want to accompany her to go grab a snack or something? They could discuss all the places where a bouncy floor and sticky wall would be mega fun and enhance this already goofy school into being way cooler. Really, she wouldn't have been surprised her first year if she'd arrived at the school and found a random wall that would capture anything that brushed up against it or floor that was squishy and bouncy. This place was full of tricks and surprises and... maybe THEY could be the ones to start that kind of weird, history-making trend... thing... as part of the castle. IT COULD BE A HIT.
"Thanks for the memories, Dot," Sophie told her partner before patting the Slytherin's head a few times and moving over to collect her things. "Y'wanna go do stuff? M'thinkin' food. Maybe we could go eat the entire kitchen's stock of green apples." Her eyes flickered over to meet Quigley's now, a cheeky grin on her face that very clearly gave away that she was teasing the man, then she waited by the door to leave with Dot.
"Bye, sir, by the way. Have a good day." She was unruly, but polite, okay?
