What was THAT look for? Beverly resisted the urge to wrinkled her nose at Quigley, and instead lowered her gaze to his apple. M'hm. She was going to eat allll of them apples and he wasn't going to get any. That was the plan.

They were all stuck to their chairs? Her head tilted to the side, her brows wrinkling in the slightest. He has got to be joking...

She was stuck.

Did he KNOW how dangerous this could be with the ones wearing skirts? What if an emergency came up and she stood and--she would have ended up flashing everyone. BAH! The simple thought had blood rushing to her cheeks.

She got this, though. Resisting the temptation of wiggling in her seat, Beverly inhaled a deep breath--she was cool-- and quietly murmured the incantation to herself. "Ah-weck-siss." Simple enough. "Avexis...Avexis."

As for the wand movement, it was just a simple point of a wand.

"OW!!!" Agatha stood up at once when she felt like her bottom was being marked as if she was some sort of animal. "THAT'S ABUS-" She was going to say yell 'abuse of power' but the teacher was already blurting out many other words, including 'detention', 'quality time' and 'apples'.

What apples had to do with any of this she had no idea. Was that supposed to change her life? No, so she didn't care he liked them so much.

Five points from Slytherin. "Whatever." It wasn't as if she was expecting them to win anyway. At least not with the amount of point she had ever brought into the count. Who cared about the House Cup? Agatha obviously DIDN'T.

Hmph.

"I quit." She said trying to grab her bag from her seat so she could storm out of the classroom, but... for some reason she wasn't able to pull it off the chair. "What-" The girl glared at her bag and tried to pull it harder. THE STUPID THING WAS DEPRIVING HER OF A GRAND EXIT. Stupid THING! Agatha kept tugging the SILLY BAG WHICH WOULDN'T UNGLUE OFF THE STUP-

Deep breath. She could feel people watching and they obviously thought she was the stupidest person in the universe, she just knew it. Great. GREAT. THANKS A LOT, QUIGLEY. "Will you- get it--" UUURGH. ..... Breathe. She was NOT angry, ALRIGHT. "Unstick my bag." She demanded between her teeth as she tried her hardest not to fully glare at the professor.

NO, she wasn't about to try the silly spell they were supposed to learn that day to free her bag. QUIGLEY had to do it because it had ALL BEEN CAUSED BY HIM.

And she sucked at magic.
HMPH.

Beverly wiggled in her seat despite her efforts not to. She was excited to try out this charm, okay. Directing her wand at the chair and her bum, she spoke out clearly and with a clear picture of what she wanted. Although that was a bit difficult when Happygood was being a little butt.

Still, she went ahead and tried it. "Ave...xis." She couldn't concentrate.

Agatha Hapgood.

Beverly wasn't one to flash her badge at her friends or use it by any means on them. They were Slytherins, they should be clever enough to not lose house points so openly. But Hapgood was tugging at the last strings. She had caused Slytherin house points and wasn't making it any better. Beverly understood. She wasn't a fan of authority figures, but she did respect them.

She went to stand, remembering too late she was stuck to the chair as she was pulled back. UGH. There was one thing she could do. Beverly scoot herself and the chair closer to her friend.

"Hapgood," she said, firmly. "Sit down and do as Professor Quigley says or you'll have a visit with our Head of House." It wasn't too late to dig herself out of this ditch. Unless she wanted to lose more house points AND deal with their head of house. Agatha should know how strict Murdock was when it came to respecting professors. Beverly was simply trying to help her not get into THAT much trouble, and hoped her friend was smart enough to do the same.

This was getting frustrating ...

But Noel was trying. Maybe it was because he was too focused on the negative outcome of this. MAYBE, WHO KNOWS? So .. Noel just stopped for a minute or two while the others went on to practice ...

Determined as ever, the puff grabbed his wand yet again and said the spell: "Avexis!'' OKAY. Moment of truth ...

WRIGGLE.

And ...

Bloody bowtruckle in a biscuit!!!! HE WAS STILL STUCK. And he may have wriggled a little harder than before because he may have heard a little ripping noise. Okay, he was definitely paranoid. Nonetheless he stopped moving. "Avexis! Avexis! AVEXISSS!!"

Kate listened to what she thought was just more lecturing about the charm they'd do in just a little while. Then the professor got to something about a counter-charm, and that's when things got interesting. Kate wiggled around a little and sure enough, she was stuck. Hmph. She eyed the professor. As a Ravenclaw, she really should work on being more alert than this.

Okay, so now had to charm herself free. Kate wiggled around again, but it was no use. She wasn't getting out this chair until she performed the charm the right way. "Adh--..." Oh, wait. Wrong charm. She wasn't trying to stick herself even further. "Avexis!" That was the right one. Only, now she had to use her wand, too.

A simple point. She could do this. "Avexis!" she said. She pointed her wand where she was stuck and hoped for the best.

After practicing the incantation - even though everyone already knew she could say it correctly, ahem - Sophie wiggled her bum some more, testing the hold the chair had on her. How had he even done this without them noticing, hm? So meeeeean.

She'd show him.

Pointing her wand at her trousers on the seat, Sophie lazily cast, "Avexis!" then made a full effort to stand, completely anticipating the charm working on the first try--

But it didn't, and even though she'd put all her weight into standing, the fabric under her pulled her back down, keeping her stuck to the chair.

What had Quiggles used to stick them there anyway?! Merlin. Was he sure this wasn't permanent? Or maybe it was just hers that he'd made permanent, as others were having success. DID HE HAVE IT OUT FOR HER? That was the only explanation, really, and she squinted at the professor in suspicion, debating whether or not he was out to get her. It DID seem likely, okay?

WAIT WHAT? Yet again, a professor had tricked them, using their position of power to take advantage of the students. Just like Professor Star Man turning them into wolves, although less hairy and more sticky. Equally rude, though.

Maybe she wouldn't unstick herself. Maybe she'd just sit here, arms crossed and sulk on full display, and stuck forever. Forever and ever. Or at least until the end of class.

Lip out, Dot was in full refusal mode when she noticed a bit of cobweb still clinging to her sleeve. TO HER SLEEVE. OH WHAT THE WHAT! She darted out of her chair, which was still stuck firmly to her back side... so really, Dot just tipped over and hit the ground hard.

Ow? Okay, officially ready to be unstuck now.

The more she thought about it... even if this WAS some elaborate, deliberate prank on Quigley's part, Sophie Brown wasn't going to lay down and take it. She was a FIGHTER and she would NOT let his antics get her down. No, even if this WAS some extra powerful sticking charm, she was going to get out of it. Because she was Sophie Brown. She could do anything.

Well, at least that's what she was going to tell herself.

"Avexis," she said aloud to herself once, thinking through the pronunciation and emphasis of syllables so she would get it exactly right, then concentrated hard, envisioning exactly what she wanted to happen as she pointed her wand at the seat under her bum again and cast with ALL HER ENERGY, "Avexis! Avexis! Avexis!"

And she STOOD UP with all her might - and was on her feet. She didn't know which of her casts had been successful or if she'd even ACTUALLY needed to put THAT much effort into it - but no matter what her problem had been, SHE WAS FREEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

Take THAT, Quiggles.

Eden beamed He said her answer was a good POINT. Yep. RAVENCLAW OVER HERE. SMART. INTELLIGENT. CLEARLY.

Pfffft.

She didn't feel that smart, but she was glad what she said was...relevant and correct.

Anyways. Yes, Eden checked, wiggling her bum, and MHMMM they were totally stuck to their seats. Eden chuckled becaaaaause that was just hilarious, Quiggles. Whipping out her wand, she tapped the edge of her chair and sighed.

Eden thought she had this in the bag. So when she waved her wand all willy-nilly and cried, "AVEXIS!" she completely thought it would work. She tried to stand, though--and alas.

She was still STUCK.

MERLIN'S PANTS.

Had she done the wand movement wrong...or something? But no..it was just a jab...a point. Hmm. Powerful sticking charm, eh'? Eden knew how THIS could come in handy...but what if he hadn't used the charm and used something else...stronger.

Eeeeeesh.

Eh, what did the professor mean they were stuck in their seats? Immediately ,Henric tried to stand up but he couldn't get his bum off his seat! Hey now, this wasn't nice. Nobody likes their bums glued to the chair, it needed space too! He took out his wand and pointing it down onto his seat. Hopefully he get it right on the spell. No lopsided bum for him..no...he lived to impress when he get older and more muscular. His bum and thighs were going to be in his top list he be working on. Frowning, he muttered the spell,"Avexis."

Eden wondered where she had gone wrong???? It seemed easy enough....hmm. She took a few minutes to simmer and concentrate on the spell. Meditate, if you will.

Avexis.

Point for the wand movement.

Unsticking.

The Ravenclaw took a deep breath and muttered the spell under her breath for a bit. So she'd be REAAAAALLLY ready for this spell when she was...ready for the spell. Lulz.

"AVEXIS-" she pointed her wand in her general bum area, and waited...for a light or something to erupt from the end of her wand. Alas, no. Nothing. Eden groaned in frustration and lay her head down on her desk. "uuuggghhhhhh!"

UGH.

"Come. On. Stupid. Spell. Ugh. I. Hate. You." she wiggled herself in her seat to try to "loosen up" a bit, but it probably wouldn't help.

Maggie gave Noel a rather confused look when he groaned. Like. Yes. It was annoying. REALLY annoying. And uncomfortable. But it wasn't THAT bad. Was he being whiny about this? Seriously?

But back to her own chair. She was preeettttyyy sure she'd gotten a little unstuck already.

Okay, focus, Magdalena Natalie Traulton. You can do this.

Taking a deep breath, Maggie closed her eyes for a moment to make sure the spell she was about to cast had her undivided attention. No distractions. Only her and her wand. "Avexis!" Once she'd opened her eyes again she pointed her wand and said the incantation. She could feel the spell. Had it been strong enough, though? There was only one way to find out.

Maggie moved veeeeerrryyyy slowly so she wouldn't rip her robes. There was no way she was going to walk around with a piece of her skirt missing after all. So far so good, though. It felt like she'd...yes.....it was......

SHE WAS FREE!!

She got up quite suddenly, grinning about how awesome she was. No chair stuck to her bum. Tilting her head to look at it just in case, she made sure that her skirt was still intact. It was. Phew. Apart from a few extra wrinkles but that she could live with. SHE WAS THE BESTEST PERSON EVER-

Meanwhile Noel next to her was panicking. "Noel!" Maggie gave him a rather stern look. That wasn't going to help him perform the spell. "Relax." She reached over to sort of tug on a strand of his hair to make him look at her.

Her attention was caught by the whole commotion around Agatha though. Who was trying to storm off apparently. Only her bag was stuck. That was VERY unfortunate. Maggie glanced at the professor, then at their Prefect, then at the bag again. "Avexis." She muttered, pointing her wand at Agatha's bag.

There was hardly anything worse than being denied a grand exit.

Angel was trying to figure out if she could get up without practicing the spell... she had a way but she didn't want to lost like 100,000 points for being rude.

Angel decided to continue to practice the spell. "ah-weck-siss!" Angel wanted to make sure she had this down completely. "ah-weck-siss!" Angel now had to practice the wand movement. "ah-weck-siss!" Angel pointed her wand at the chair and tried to get up but well the spell hadn't worked that well.

Yoongi saw that Adi was looking back at him and he quickly looked away, therefore not seeing that he was grinning at him and thought he had been rude. No matters though, he wanted to try the spell again. To see if he had luck the first time or if he was amazing. Of course, he was amazing already but getting it confirmed he was amazing ….you know?

He wiggled in his seat, checking if he was stuck again and he was. Next time he stood up he would vanish the sticky stuff. He pointed his wand at his chair and said “Avexis!” He waited for a second and then tried to stand up.

He stared confusedly, just like the first time he had gotten up, as he stood upright and out of his chair. HAD HE JUST FOUND HIS FAVOURITE SPELL EVER?! A satisfied grin appeared on his face because now he knew that it hadn’t been luck but he was…really amazing!

He liked this feeling, it wasn’t often he got things right at the first try ..actually…this was the second time now. Once in charms school and now at Hogwarts. Ah , he was a prodigy if he could say so himself.

Knowing that she couldn't just get up if she wanted was unsettling. AJ was used to being in control. It was pretty brilliant though. He would definitely know who wasn't mastering the spell because their butt's would still be in the chair. You couldn't really play that off.

"Avexis," she cried as she pointed her wand at her seat. Wiggle, wiggle. Nope. Her butt was still stuck. Could just be a fluke. It wasn't like she ever got anything to work for her at the first. That would just be too easy.

Another quick wiggle just to make sure that the spell wasn't taking its sweet time to work. She was a hopeful lion. What could she say?

"Avexis." Point. Waiting a second, she used her hands to push up off of her seat. Nope. AJ Valentine wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. She sighed. No way would she be one of the students who couldn't get it right. Flunking out on the warm up was not acceptable. AJ was a fourth year. Shouldn't she be better?

Ooh, a new spell. Janelle was all ears as the professor described the charm that they would be learning today. She scribbled the information down, adding it to her notes. It was always good to know the spell to undo something you had previously done......just in case.

Now it was time time to practice and......oh no he didn't. They were stuck to the chairs? Janelle had a brief moment of panic as she tried to wiggle off the chair. She did not like being confined or unable to move or STUCK TO A CHAIR! Taking a deep breath, Janelle tried to be calm. She had to think and concentrate and get herself off of the chair.

Since she wasn't going anywhere, Janelle figured that she might as well start practicing the spell. Deciding to tackle the incantation first, she began to recite the words. "Ah-weck-siss, Ah-weck-siss, Ah-weck-siss. Avexis" Since the wand movement was just a point. Janelle didn't feel the need to practice that. She was ready to try the spell for real. First though, she had to get her mind right.

She wanted control of her own butt. She wanted a FREE butt. Mainly she just wanted the freaking charm to work. WHY oh WHY did it always give her a hard time. Wand swinging, charm chanting girl genius wasn't too much to ask, right? Only it was because her butt was still stuck, and she was on attempt number three.

Thinking only of her butt coming up, she pointed her wand once more. "Avexis." Not wanting to move because the thought of failure was too much, she took a moment. Wiggle. NO. She was still stuck. What was up with this sorcery?

Bad magic. This was bad magic. That was a little dramatic, she knew it. "AVEXIS," she shouted with authority because she wasn't messing around anymore. Her butt was coming up off this chair or else.

Slowly she raised her right butt cheek. It was moving. AJ hopped out of her chair like a ninja. YES. Best feeling ever. Did anybody else need help because she was pretty much a pro now.

Okay, now, Eden was frustrated. She hadn't gotten the spell yet, and it was just so...annoying. It wasn't even that HARD of a spell, was it?

She swished around in her spot and bounced a little, forcing the chair to scooch up a little, skidding over the floor in a rough manner. Ugh, that sound--awful. Just bloody awful.

Eden groooooowled and swished her wand around once more. "AVEEEEEXIS!" she cried, one last time before she officially SCREAMED, and pointed her wand at her bum. She struggled to move--but--

LOOK. SHE WAS FREAKIN' UNSTUCK.

Eden did a little jig before hurriedly sitting back down, looking around with a blush. Okay. She did it. Merlin. She didn't know what the heck was wrong with her today.

Well, THAT didn't work, and Kate hadn't really expected it to. Did anything ever really work on the first try? Nope. Rarely ever. At least, not when Kate was learning these spells in classes. That wasn't the point, though. The point was she was stuck to a chair and she hadn't even budged a bit after the first casting.

Kate wiggled a little then tried again. With a point of her wand at the area that was stuck, she gave a strong, "Avexis!" She promptly wiggled again, but nothing happened. Kate lowered her wand and tried to focus for a moment. REALLY focus. What was it she wanted this charm to do? She wanted it to free her from being stuck to the chair. In her mind, she pictured herself standing up from the chair.

"AVEXIS!" she called out again, giving her wand a point. She wanted to try the spell before she had time to lose the vision of her standing up. Another wiggle told her the charm was starting to work. She could move about more freely, but she still couldn't stand. It was a start, at least!

Okay, well, THAT hadn't worked, but you know the old adage: if at first you don't succeed, try, TRY AGAIN. So Toby did that. He tried again. And again.

"Avexis!" The Hufflepuff pointed his wand at the booty, then wriggled to try and see if he could move, AND even stood up to see if the chair might fall away from him on the off-chance that his spells were just having a little 'delay' problem. Maybe he'd already unstuck himself a few times already, and ended up getting RE-stuck.

But no. The chair was staying put. Or... wAIT. WAS IT... HAD IT...?

... It hadn't worked. Toby had thought the chair was finally falling away from him, and it was, but... it had actually started to take his trousers with it. AHEM. Toby sat himself RIGHT BACK DOWN before he accidentally gave anyone an eyeful of his boxers, and pretended like noooooooooooooooooothing had happened. Ahem.

So maybe that wasn't the best method in the world.

Time was running and at this point Beverly didn't care who else got detention. Honestly. If they were going to go and be stupid fine by her. She wasn't going to sacrifice her time if they weren't going to listen.

Focusing once again, Beverly wiggled in her seat. Her eyes kept darting over to Agatha. What a stubborn friend she had. The younger girl was fortunate Beverly liked her. Pointing her wand at her bum and chair, Beverly took in a deep breath. "Avexis!"

Did it work? She didn't feel any difference. She wiggled again in her seat, feeling herself twist. She was free! Mwahaha! Quigley couldn't keep her trapped glued down.

Janelle closed her eyes and concentrated on what she needed to do. When she thought she was ready, she opened her eyes and took her shot. Pointing her wand at the space between her backside and the chair, she said,"Avexis". Giving herself a little scoot, Janelle was dismayed to find that she had not un-stuck herself. The spell hadn't worked. Of all of the spells that she'd want to get right on the first try, this had to be near the top of the list.

Her frustration growing, Janelle knew she had to try again and keep trying until she got it right. She poined her wand again and said, "Avexis", more forcefully this time. Wiggle, wiggle.......nothing. OK, this was not funny. The more she was stuck, the more angry she became.

There was nothing worse than being restrained when you did not want to be. Janelle was anxious because she was being forced to sit when all she wanted do do was get up and move freely. Then it dawned on her, it wasn't the sitting that was the problem. It was feeling powerless and out of control that really bothered her. But she wasn't powerless. She was a witch and she had options. She was going to get herself off of the chair, or else.

*whining noises*

Toby wanted to get out of his seeeeeEEEAAAAATTTTTTTT. GUH. He sat there for a moment, looking UNBELIEVABLY SORRY FOR HIMSELF, a real pitiful display. But ONLY FOR A MOMENT. Because Toby wasn't the type to feel sorry for himself (except for those times when he... totally was). So after allowing himself that short break, Toby got right back to it.

"Chair. Chair, please. Be reasonable. Please just... unstick, yeah?" Toby said to the piece of furniture, hoping they could come to some kind of agreement. But the chair was resolute. Rude.

*more whining noises*

Oh wait. No. The spell, that was the point of the lesson, to get free with the spell. YES RIGHT OKAY.

"Avexis!" Point. Nothing. "... Avexis!" POINT. Noooooooooothing. "............... Avexis!" AGGRESSIVE POINTING. Nothing.

Wait, no, that was a lie. Because something HAD happened. Just... not what Toby had... expected. He didn't know exactly how it had happened, though this wasn't really the first time he'd managed such a mistake in spell-casting, but...

Toby's. Chair. Was. On. Fire.

Not the SEAT part, thank Merlin. But somehow one of the legs had sparked into a small flame, which had already started to spread. For a moment, Toby only stared, panicking or something while his brain tried to process what to DO, and then, at last, he let a SQUEAK OF FEAR that a mouse would be proud of.

"Avexis!"

Toby pointed his wand at the chair and put real CONVICTION into his spell-casting this time, and that was what did it. He felt himself become unstuck, instantly leapt up out of the chair, and SUPER QUICKLY cast "Aguamenti!"

... WHEW. Okay. Panic over. The fire was gone, just a little smoke behind and... a mildly charred chair leg. Toby coughed as he eyed it, then looked up towards the professor with the most terrified, apologetic expression.

"I am so sorry." He'd PAY FOR IT! Buy a new chair. BUILD a new chair. Oh Merlin, Merrrrrliiiiiiin. "That... has a tendency to happen." Honestly probably shouldn't still happen when he was 18 and about to graduate, buuuuuut... they could just blame it on his twitchy hyperness today, yeah? Please? Maybe?

Cough cough.

BUT HEY. The spell had worked. Eventually.

OK. This time the spell was going to work and Janellle would free herself from this adhesive prison. She took several deep breaths to calm herself down and get her focus. Then she concentrated on what she was about to do and what she wanted the result to be.

She was a witch. She had magic on her side. She could undo this. She was in control, or at least she would be when she got off of this blasted chair. Janelle had a sudden thought. If she said "Finite" would that end the spell and release her from the chair. She was almost tempted to try it, but thought better of it.

Getting back into her "I am a witch and I've got skills" zone, Janelle prepared herself to repeat the spell. "I can do this, I can do this", she thought to herself. Raising her wand, she directed it toward the sticky spot. Then summoning all of the concentration that she could muster, she said the incantation. "Avexis!"

Janelle was almost afraid to move because if the spell hadn't worked, she was going to have a full on 13 year old meltdown right in Charms class. No she wouldn't really, but that's how she felt. Now, should she try to get up slowly or fast? Janelle decided to go with the rip the band-aid off mentality. Counting to three, Janelle, quickly stood up from her chair. She stood up from her chair! Thank Merlin the spell had worked this time. Janelle breathed a huge sigh of releif.

Angel was still trying to figure out what she was going to do and how she was going to get unstuck from her chair, normally she would ask her sister or one of her friends for help but they were all busy. "Avexis!" Angel continued to practice the spell. "Avexis!" Angel tried to concentrate hard on the spell.

"ah-weck-siss!!" Angel pointed her wand at her chair and smiled as she finally managed to get herself unstuck, she looked at the professor and waited to see what was going to happen next.
