Charms Lesson 1 - Going Up! _____________________________http://i1188.photobucket.com/albums/...ps1766b108.jpg It's bright and early Monday morning and time for the first Charms lesson of the term. As you enter, you notice the room is in it's typical set up with the desks and chairs lined in three neat rows to allow easy access should the Professor need to move about--though this is highly unlikely. Class had begun! Post 1 Post 2 Post 3 Mini Activity Main Activity Clarification |
Eden was happy for Quigley's class because not ONLY was his face pretty, but the CLASS was nice, too. And helpful. And Eden was GOOD at Charms, which was always a plus for the Ravenclaw. "Morning, Professor Quigggg---Quigley, Quigley." She corrected herself because her nickname in her HEAD was not one she would EVER CALL HIM ALOUD EVER. QUIGGLES. Eden just blushed and sat down because...embarrassment. She pulled out her quill to scribble her name on the little taggy thing before ripping it off and sticking it to her robe. How cute. And....not magical. But still cute. And Eden LIKED wearing her name on her robes. Quote:

Abby entered the charms classroom and said "Good Morning Professor Quigley" Abby quickly wrote her name of a name tag Quote:

He was in a GOOD MOOD. Bright and early, Monday morning, GOOD things had happened and he was allllllll smiles. Cheerful Benzi was sometimes a thing too. Armed with an apple because he'd taken what Cutty had said to him very seriously, Benzi strolled in the classroom with a happy grin. "Good morning Professor! My name's Benzi, they told me you like apples?" he smiled, and produced the fruit he'd nicked at breakfast from his pocket. Yes? He did good? How does one really feed a Professor? Was he supposed to throw it at him and should 'constant vigilance'? ... That felt more like a Defence thing. Also, hello Crazy Eyes. He sees you. You get a nod and a wink from him. |
Professor Quigley had managed one of the first lesson spots as well. Benny made his way to the charms classroom after breakfast, making sure to bring an apple with him. "Good morning, Professor Quigley," he greeted as he entered, making his way towards the front of the classroom. He deposited said fruit before taking claim of one of the desks at the front of the room. He needed to improve his charmswork as well so best to take a good spot. As he took a seat, Benny took out a quill and wrote his name on the tag. Quote:

Charms! Hady couldn't wait to get to class this morning seeing as how charms were her thing. So it was with no effort this morning that she had gotten up, ready and down to breakfast before making her way to the Charms room. Entering the room silently she took in a deep breath of fresh air that flowed in through the open windows. "Good morning Professor" Hady greeted softly with a light smile as she offered a nice green apple to him. She knew of his love of apples from her previous terms so it was a given that she'd bring him one this morning. After handing over the apple she made her way to an empty desk and sat down. Taking out her usual needed items and setting them upon her desk Hady then took her quill and quickly filled out her name tag before sticking it to her robes. Quote:

Ahhh, Charms. Crazy, wild, funny class this was. At least with Quigley leading it. The professor was something of a wild card, unpredictable in his way and Damien was never sure what to expect next from him. Which, was actually pretty fun. "Good morning, Professor." Damien said as he walked into the class, he spotted Eden, and for a moment he considered sitting beside his ravenclaw friend, but then he remembered his talk with Phoenix and the anger and jealousy over Roria - merlin, don't think about her - filled him up. Damien cracked his jaw and took a seat some few desks away. He picked up his quill and quickly wrote out his name. Quote:

Well here we go again. Name Tags Though since he had his fun last term with them in this class. Dante felt he would use his real name this time for Professor Q. He deserved it. Even though Neil B. Formy is a underappreciated name. His name was better by far. Quote:

Leah skipped into the classroom excitedly. She didn't know why she liked Charms so much when she was horrible at it. It was probably the Hufflepuff optimism in her. Also, a new friend had promised to help her out with the subject this term, which made her feel a lot better. She saw the professor at the front of the room, looking tired as usual. She had something to cheer him up! "Hi Professor Quigley," she smiled and handed him an apple. She then took a seat near the back and read the instructions on the board. That was easy. The fifth year wrote her name on the name tag at her desk, stuck it to her uniform. Yaay, now the whole world knew her name. Quote:

Early morning classes weren't his thing but the world didn't really worked the 'Noel Wallace' way, now did it? Dragging himself into the class room, the fifteen year old waved at the professor before yawning wide. "Haa-looo .. professor," he greeted stifling the second yawn that followed. Noticing Benzi, the boy gave him a 'Sup?' nod before finding himself a seat and scribbling his name in a not so neat way: 'Noel Wallace'. Sticking it not so properly on his shirt, Noel just folded his arms on the desk and rested his head on them. A tiny nap would be totally okay, right? The class hadn't started yet after all. |
If there was one class that Tia was stoked to have in the early morning, it was Charms. For one - she was good at Charms and TWO - well Professor Quigley was arguably one of the best looking faces on staff "Morning Professor," Tia said cheerfully, as she made her way towards the front of the class. Front row seats because she needed to pay extra attention. OWLs and all. "Oh, here, just sliced these for you," the fifth year beamed as she handed him a bag of sliced apples sprinkled with cinnamon. She then went and sat down, setting Azure in her place in the corner first before taking out her charms book, some parchment and a quill. Followed by filling out the little nametag. Silly because Quigley already knew her, but she appeased him nonetheless. Quote:

Hugh had NOT skipped breakfast, which meant that he was full, full, full. To the point of super pregnant lady waddling full. He barely managed to slip into his seat with the level of food baby he was sporting before he scribbled down his name and stuck in on his chest. Quote:

Alright Henric.....its time to earn back those 5 points he lost from his house. Charms was one of his best subjects and he wouldn't want anything or anyone mess up his straight He saluted Professor Quigley with his own greeting,"Good morning, Professor!" He saw everyone else had already took their seats and pasting nametags on their school uniforms, he better got on with his. He found a seat near the corner where he usually sat and wasted no time taking out his handy dandy refillable ink quill from his bag. He then started to write his initials on his tag. Quote:

First Charms lesson of the year! YES, PLEASE Adi bounded into the classroom, and was slightly taken aback by its brightness. Gosh. He had NOT been prepared for that! He blinked rapidly a few times. Despite the glasses he wore, his eyes still was a tad affected by all that light. But the blinking and a few moments to gather himself seemed to have helped as his eyes adjusted. Oh! There was the Feline man. "Hallo, good morning, Professor! Got you a little something.'' Adi placed a shiny yellow apple on the man's desk. Quigley seemed to rarely have the yellow ones. The sixth year now turned his attention to the class. So MANY students! Benny, Tia, Noel, Leah, Dante, Abby and a few others got either grins or waves from him as he made his way towards Henric, whom he had decided to sit next to today. "Hiya, Henny. Feeling alright?" You know... had Henric gotten over his dejection for loosing the points earlier? Anywho, Adi's attention was diverted to the board. Ah, name tags. He quickly wrote his name: Quote:

Ugh, it was TOO early. It was hard getting used to an early morning schedule after spending the whole summer staying up late and sleeping in until ten or eleven... or noon. Regardless, Evie was still in her initial excitement for the beginning of the school year and showed up to class on time. After a big yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn, Evie walked in the class and gave Quigley a sleepy smile. "Morning, Professor. No tail today?" She LIKED it when he was in kitty form. Looking for a spot to sit, Evie immediately gravitated toward Damien and plopped down on the seat beside him. "Hi," she said, squishing up against him and resting her head on his shoulder. Hmmmmm, could she take a nap here? Would he mind? Eden and Benzi also got little finger-waves, but they were housemates, so she'd see them more later. Evie was still filling up her Damien quota, which was lacking due to not seeing him all summer. Her head only stayed on Damien's shoulder for a moment because Evie read the board and found directions. She wrote her name down on the tag and slapped it under the collar of her shirt. Boom. Outstanding student right here. |
Philipe walked in with a small smile, if he remembered correctly charms was one of his mother's best classes, so hopefully that would remain true for him as well. He found an empty desk, somewhat away from the groups that seemed to be forming and wrote his name down as instructed. Philipe Thomas Chev He stuck it to his shirt and glanced around the room, waiting for the class to start. |
First charms lesson at this school should be interesting, especially given that noticeboard of rules. Jenna hadn't met a professor that fell into the stereotype of teachers liking apples - until now, that is. There was nothing wrong with it, of course. It was just interesting to her. So she brought one, and she was only a little pleased to see that she wasn't the only one, or even the first. Perhaps it really was a thing a few of them went along with - probably smart. "Good morning, Professor. I've brought you an apple too." She set it on his desk next to the others then grabbed a seat in the second row from the front. She set her bag on the floor, pulling out a quill to write her name down. Quote:

Before making his way up to the third floor, Toby had stopped off by the kitchens to grab a little something. An apple, as a matter of fact, which he deposited on Quigley's desk upon arriving at the classroom. "Morning, Professor. Good to see you again," he said pleasantly enough, before heading off to his regular seat by one of the windows. Ahhhhhhh fresh air. After getting his stuff set up and ready to take notes, Toby slid the blank name tag that was on his desk closer to him and wrote on the desired information, Tobias Fuller-Thompson, before sticking it on the front of his uniform. |

Henric rolled his eyes when he heard "Henny" name being called. He only knew one person who called him that and that was none other than Adi himself who decided to sit next to him today. He didn't mind Adi messing up his name, as long as he didn't mess up his hair-do, other than that he had no problem with anyone calling him that. Henric shrugged,"Never felt better, you?" "Nice apple you got there for the professor, where you got it?" Henric asked, he never seen a yellow apple before. Must had not been fully ripen yet, he thought. |
Charms! It has some how become one of Margo's favorite lessons ever. She loved the crazyness of them and how much fun they always were. The professor was hoot to begin with, which always helped! So smiling Margo nearly ran to her desk. Stopped only to turn the Professor. "Hello Professor. I brought the for you." Margo handed him an apple! She had remembered from last year! At least something stayed in her brain. Taking her seat, she wrote: Quote:

It was time for Charms and Janelle entered the classroom eager to begin. Spotting the Professor at his desk she gave him a wave. "Hello Professor Quigley. How are you today?" The room was rather crowded so Janelle sat in the first available seat. As she began to unpack her things, she noticed the name tag on her desk. She took out her quill and quickly wrote her name. Classes were too early for Hugo, but at least they were starting with Charms. No problem with that. The third year entered the room and greeted Quigley, "What's up professor?" how you doing? Had a great summer? Etc. All those questions were implied because asking them would be too much. Taking a seat at a random desk, he took his quill and wrote down his name. Quote:

You know what? It was too freaking early. And it was a MONDAY, where the weekend seemed like a million years away. Jeez! Yawning, Grayson readjusted his grip on his bag as he strolled down the corridor. He had definitely NOT missed this over the holidays. In fact, he didn't miss much of the general school part either. Funny that. Trying not to think about the holidays or his comfortable bed, the Slytherin headed into the classroom, blinking slightly at the brightness of his surroundings. Merlin, Quigley, you tryna blind us all or what? Speaking of Quigley, "Hey, Professor," he called, giving the man a smile and a 'sup nod. Did he have any apples for the guy? Nope. Completely forgotten about that so no apples for you today, sir. Instead, he was gonna walk over to his seat over there and write out a name tag for himself. Quote:

There was no barrel because it was HARD to get a whole barrel of apples, okay? So today, Sophie was holding one green apple as she entered the Charms classroom and she flashed Quigley a brilliant smile as she approached him, buffing the apple against her robes before she outstretched the apple to him. "Got your back, boss." She SALUTED him, then turned to look at the faces of her classmates for the first time - lots and lots of friendly faces, all of whom got smiles of acknowledgement, but Soph gravitated toward the Tobes and slid into the open seat near him, giving HIM the biggest grin and a nudge of greeting as she did so. When her gaze fell upon the name tag, she looked up to the board to make sure there were no tricks here and she was just supposed to write her name... and she did, after she took out all her class materials, then stuck the name tag right under her prefect badge. ALL SET AND READY TO GO. |
Angel smiled as she walked into the classroom. "Good day Professor." Angel smiled as she gave him a small smile, then she decided that she would sit down and write on the name tag. Quote:
